A few days later
Walking into my True Magic class held in the classroom today I see Dumbledore leaning on the desk after writing something on my board, I smile slightly before moving to a chair next to a student who looks at me shocked.
Bringing my finger to my mouth I point to Dumbledore "reincarnation goes hand in hand with soul mates" he says drawing a line between the two words.
"No matter if it's the magical world or muggle, the idea of a soul mate is something people dream about but many muggles dismiss it as a fairy tale as they age, the magical community has documented cases of soul mates their stories are written to remind us it's possible but it may take many life times or a twist of fate before both are ready to be lovers, each soul must be at a certain point in their lives to be more than friends, trying to force it to soon could cause dramatic and painful outcomes" he says.
Seeing a hand raise I watch as he points to the first year Ravenclaw "have you ever seen soulmates progress as anything?" She asks.
"I have, I lived it myself and it ended tragically but one I had the privilege of watching it grow in two students, their friendship growing past it while one struggled to accept their bond, I watched as they drifted apart and felt heartache for them, just when I believed it was the end they came back together as friends and grew to lovers" he says and I see his eyes land on me.
"Do not misunderstand children, a soulmate is not always a lover, they could be a friend, a sibling, a mentor or enemy if something tragic happens" he adds.
"I've personally documented a case myself, it shows that one was reincarnated with memories of their past life, they recognized their mentor as a child and befriended them needing something familiar, this event opened the opportunity for them to be more, one who had become jaded from a war and betrayal, the other hopeful seeing the wonder of a new world both needed the other to help and protect each other"
Smiling I nod letting him know he can have his documents published "who was it professor?" Another student asks.
"Their names are kept secret for privacy because the point of soulmate records is for us to remember that love is always found even in the darkest of times, it doesn't care about heritage, ethnicity, birth status, or the challenges, because a soulmate will do unimaginable things for their other half, ignore their own heart for the others happiness even go to war to protect them"
"Headmaster, what of the believe that someone has multiple soulmates but only one lover soulmate" I say raising my hand.
"A very rare occasion I assure you, only two cases have ever been documented and confirmed although one is disregarded because creatures and beasts were involved, Morgana La Faye had a bond with a group of creatures who later went on to start many clans that cover the magical community now, while animals trusted her without question that was the first documented case" he says sounding sad.
"It also became her downfall when one clan was slaughtered for a sacred jewel she demanded justice and with her last spell protected her magic by preserving it to find her soul again"
"What of the second?" I ask.
"The founders, all four had a found soulmates in each other as siblings, it's because of these we have learned Soulmates do not mean you are lovers and it doesn't mean you will always be happy like a fairy tale, that's unrealistic it means someone who has what your missing"
Sometime later
Seeing the last student leave I close the doors and hop on my desk looking at him "what brought this on?" I ask.
"I was bored and decided to see if I could still hold a classroom's attention" he says sounding amused.
"And your lesson?" I ask.
"I thought it should be part of true magic studies, it is a large part of the magical community"
"Why use Minnie and I as you're examples?"
He chuckles looking at me "it's a beautiful account of soulmates finding each other, it's also so very rare to have one happen like yours and to even witness it has been a blessing for me" he answers leaning on the desk popping a lemon candy in his mouth.
Opening my mouth to speak I freeze hearing a rumbling groan before the wall shakes, jumping up I grab my wand rushing out seeing students screaming and running to get outside.
Taking off I head further in seeing Pomona with the children minus one and Minnie rushing out, hitting Myrtle's class I freeze seeing Madame Bones, and Alastor holding Bella looking on horrified at a Walburga chocolate that's filled the room while Bella cackles watching it move.
"Where's Myrtle?" I ask shocked.
Bella points to the candy frowning before the candy snaps open and I hear Myrtle coughing as a body crawls out covered in chocolate filling from the candy "I'm getting tired of the Black family trapping me in shit" she mutters shaking her head.
Laughing I wave my wand cleaning her up "what happened? the entire castle started shaking and students were trying to escape" I ask.
"That brat popped in and was messing with my candy then suddenly I'm trapped between Walburga's giant chocolate ass and the wall" she huffs sitting down holding her stomach.
"I ate to much chocolate trying to get free and that filling was so damn thick, I didn't think I'd make it out" she adds.
Covering my mouth I shake slightly looking at the candy "you realize the path you took to get out right?" I ask.
"No" she mutters frowning.
Pointing at it she turns around and looks tilting her head "huh, this wasn't what I meant when I said I wanted to be in her" she mutters.
Alastor tosses Bella to me rushing to Myrtle holding her to him "I'm fine I promise, but after this Walburga owes me a night in her bed" she says before kissing his cheek.
Hearing him laugh looking relieved I shake my head "it's truly fascinating to see how you react to her casually mentioning sleeping with other people and even flirting" I say.
"She's faithful, just a pervert and enjoys looking I know she comes back to me without question" he says sounding amused.
"Must you always be so perfect? Minnie and I would end up in Azkaban for murder if we did that"
"Yes but you're both territorial and possessive, neither of you question the other about being faithful you just don't trust others to respect your relationship"
