Chapter 13: The Butterfly and the Wasp:

Aiko's POV:

As the kid was falling, I flew down and saved her. She was so scared, she fainted. I was relieved. I then set her down on the fire escape. I then flew back to Suzumebachi. "All this for some guy," I asked.

"He was always meant to be mine, but then he chose someone who cheated on him with a married man!"

We then fought in the air. She kept trying to sting me. I kept trying to blast her. "Look, maybe you should meet someone else," I suggested, "maybe a nice bee..."

"SHUT UP!"

She then stung me, and it really hurt. I had to wrap this up... literally! I then wrapped her in a cocoon, and she turned back to normal. "That takes care of..." Then the police shined a light on me. "Gotta go!" I then flew away...

...

It was the next day, and I was with Rulan and Alan at the diner. "So, did you guys hear about how Kōkō no Tenshi saved that kid," I asked.

"I don't know where you heard that," says Rulan.

"Yeah, considering Kōkō no Tenshi was the one who kidnapped Haranibu's daughter," says Alan.

I then did a spit take. "It was all over the news," says Rulan, "and I was starting to think she was a good guy too!"

I then did the math in my head. Haranibu saw something flying with his daughter, but he couldn't see it was a wasp. His daughter fainted when I tried to save her, and she was probably too scared to remember what her captor looked like. Plus, the police just saw me, a kid, and a non-wasp... yeah, I can see why they would all think that... this doesn't look good for me. How do I tell them what really happened without telling them who I am?

"I guess I misunderstood what the news said," I said. Oh boy.
