Yuta's musings were interrupted by the arrival of a man with brown hair tied back in a ponytail, dark eyes, and a scar above the bridge of his nose. He was of average height and build, but his presence commanded attention. As he walked to the center of the room, he gazed at the students with a calm yet authoritative demeanor.
"Quiet down," he said, his voice low and even. However, his words fell on deaf ears, and the students continued to chatter among themselves. Iruka, the man, gritted his teeth in frustration and decided to use a more...unconventional method to get their attention. He activated his signature "Big Head" jutsu, and his face suddenly ballooned to comical proportions.
"QUIET DOWN!" he bellowed, his voice like a thunderclap. Yuta flinched at the sudden outburst, and the other students quickly fell silent. Iruka's jutsu was certainly effective, and Yuta made a mental note to learn it someday.
As Iruka began taking attendance, Yuta's mind wandered. He tried to focus on the other students, to see them as real people rather than just side characters in his story. However, it was still a bit difficult for him to shake off his preconceptions.
When Iruka called out his name, Yuta responded with a simple "Here." He tried to sound normal, to blend in with the other students. Iruka continued calling out names, and Yuta's attention was caught when he heard a familiar one.
"Naruto Uzumaki!" Iruka called out, looking around the room. He frowned, seemingly expecting Naruto to be absent. But just as he was about to move on, the door burst open, and a blonde-haired kid with a goofy grin on his face shouted, "Naruto Uzumaki is here!"
Naruto's entrance was met with a scolding from Iruka, who was clearly unimpressed by the young boy's antics. Yuta watched the exchange with interest, remembering how Naruto's enthusiasm and determination had made him a beloved character in the original story.
Just as class was about to start, a screen popped up in front of Yuta, displaying a new task.
[Ding, Task has been created, task loading…]
[Objective: Become the rookie of the year.]
[Task Description: As a transmigrator, your pride won't let you get beaten by kids in spars, so you set your goals high to become the rookie of the year.]
[Reward: Summoning Scroll.]
Yuta's eyes widened as he read the task description. Become the rookie of the year? Wasn't he planning to keep a low profile and avoid drawing attention to himself? But the reward was too enticing to ignore - a summoning scroll could be incredibly powerful.
Yuta's initial hesitation was replaced by determination. He gritted his teeth and decided to accept the challenge. If he was going to become the rookie of the year, he would do it in a way that would make Danzo and the Root organization take notice. He would shine so brightly that the Third Hokage would be forced to recognize his talent and protect him from Danzo's influence.
…
As the morning wore on, the bell rang, signaling the start of recess. Yuta, who had been quietly observing his classmates, stood up and rummaged through his bag for a cup of instant ramen he had brought from home. He sat back down.
As he ate, he couldn't help but think about the summoning scroll that he had been promised as a reward for becoming the rookie of the year. What kind of summon would it be? A majestic tiger, with its powerful physique and sharp claws? Or perhaps a wise owl, with its piercing gaze and silent flight? Or maybe, just maybe, it would be the summoning scroll of one of the three Sage Regions, granting him the ability to harness the ancient power of the sages.
Yuta's mind wandered to the possibilities, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. He had always been fascinated by the concept of senjutsu, the ancient art of harnessing the power of nature to achieve incredible feats. And the Sage Body, a legendary state that allowed the user to regenerate nearly infinitely, was the ultimate goal.
But, as he sat there, lost in thought, Yuta was brought back to reality by the sound of laughter and chatter from his classmates. They were all playing and having fun, while he was stuck in his own little world. Yuta sighed, knowing that he had a long way to go before he could achieve his dreams.
To become the rookie of the year, he would need to excel in both strength and theoretical knowledge. And there were two major roadblocks standing in his way: Sasuke and Sakura. Sasuke, with his natural talent and athleticism, was a formidable opponent in physical combat. Yuta would need to get significantly stronger if he wanted to stand a chance against him. And even if he did manage to defeat Sasuke, there was still the matter of Sakura to contend with.
Sakura, despite her unimpressive start in the original story, had proven to be a brilliant student, with a vast knowledge of theoretical ninjutsu. She was like a walking library, with a deep understanding of the intricacies of ninja techniques and strategies. To beat her in theoretical knowledge, Yuta would need to be perfect, with 100% accuracy and a flawless grasp of the subject matter.
He had a long way to go. Yuta got up and went back to the classroom. Time passed by and the last class was Taijutsu Spars As the day wore on, Yuta found himself zoning out during most of the Taijutsu spars. He wasn't really interested in watching the other students fight, and he didn't think he would learn anything new from observing them. However, when the Rookie 9's turn came up, Yuta's attention was piqued.
First up was Shikamaru, who was paired against a classmate. However, before the fight could even begin, Shikamaru surrendered, citing that it was too troublesome to fight. Yuta couldn't help but chuckle at Shikamaru's laid-back attitude.
Next up was Choji, who was hesitant to fight his opponent at first. However, after some prodding from Iruka, he agreed to participate. Choji's fighting style was unorthodox, to say the least, and he attacked his opponent with a series of light, gentle blows. Despite his reluctance, Choji managed to emerge victorious.
Ino's fight was next, and she was paired against a civilian student. Ino's skills were clearly superior, and she won the fight with ease.
Shino's fight was a surprise, as he demonstrated a level of strength and agility that Yuta hadn't expected. Despite his bookish appearance, Shino was a formidable opponent, and he won his fight handily.
Hinata's fight was a bit of a disappointment, as she lost to her opponent. However, it was clear that she had held back, not wanting to hurt her opponent.
Kiba's fight was intense, as he relied on his animalistic instincts to overpower his opponent. His fighting style was wild and unpredictable, but effective, and he emerged victorious.
Naruto's fight was a thrilling one, as he was paired against a civilian student who was clearly out of his league. Despite being outclassed in terms of skill, Naruto's stamina and durability allowed him to wear down his opponent and emerge victorious.
Sasuke's fight was a flash of speed and skill, as he quickly dispatched his opponent with a series of swift and precise movements.
As Yuta waited for the next match to begin, he heard a name that sounded familiar.
"Yuta Suzuki," Iruka said, calling out his name along with that of another student.
Yuta's heart skipped a beat as he realized that it was his turn to fight. He stood up, his mind racing with thoughts of strategy and technique. Who would his opponent be? Would he be able to hold his own against them?
As he made his way to the center of the room, Yuta caught a glimpse of his opponent, a boy with a confident smirk on his face.
As Yuta faced off against his opponent, he couldn't help but notice the boy's confident smirk and the Inuzuka Clan symbol on his forehead. From his appearance, Yuta could tell that he was from the Inuzuka Clan, known for their exceptional strength and fighting skills.
The two opponents stood before each other, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. They performed the traditional ninja symbol, a gesture that signified the start of the spar.
"1 minute, I say he lasts one minute," The other kids whispered
Yuta's opponent, the Inuzuka kid, chuckled and said, "Hey, why are you going soft on him? The fight should be over in 10 seconds tops."
Yuta's frown deepened as he heard some of his classmates whispering and laughing at him. It was rude and disrespectful, and coming from kids, it was even more infuriating. As an adult in spirit, Yuta felt a strong sense of indignation and frustration.
The Inuzuka kid, emboldened by his classmates' laughter, turned to Yuta and said, "I'll defeat you in 10 seconds, loser!" Yuta's eyes narrowed, and he felt a surge of anger. He wanted to scream at the kid's face, to tell him that he was just a side character and that he didn't stand a chance against him.
But Yuta held his temper in check. He knew that he couldn't let his emotions get the better of him. Instead, he tried to look as uninterested as possible, his expression a mask of boredom.
"I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of getting a rise out of me," Yuta thought to himself. "I'll play it cool, and I'll get what I need from this fight."
Yuta's eyes locked onto the Inuzuka kid, and he could see the eagerness in his eyes. The kid was itching for a fight, and Yuta was happy to oblige. But he had a plan, and he was going to see it through.
Even though he knew he Couldn't win right now he would get his revenge one day or another.
"Let's get this over with," Yuta said, his voice flat and unenthusiastic.
The Inuzuka kid grinned, thinking that he had the upper hand. And he was right he did have the upper hand.
"Start!"
