Since I had Bakugou in Dragon Chapter 60 this is something that could be considered and fitted into the story earlier (but it did not and does not happen). What If Bakugou decided the best way to get his quirk back was to blackmail Izuku into it by kidnapping someone Izuku is known to care about? (Hint, it's not a great idea).

The Emperor's Dragon: Bakugou Kidnaps Ochaco

Bakugou paced back and forth in his room. His good hand curled in front of him and he was concentrating as hard as he could to make a spark, a pop, even a fizz! Anything… But there was nothing.

That bastard really had stolen his quirk.

How the fuck did that happen?

All Might had said it was the fuckers real quirk, to take other quirks. That was so… It was so screwed that Bakugou didn't even want to think about it. He didn't really buy into that crap that quirks were heroic or villainous but… That quirk, to take other quirks… that was really villainous.

And the little prick had proved that to the rest of the world. He'd grabbed their quirks and …

All Might said they'd find the green-haired shithead but… All Might said a lot of things. Oh! Katsuki didn't doubt that the heroes would try to find the dickhead, and they might even succeed but he really couldn't see any reason for the fucker to give back the quirks. The miserable little turd would just sit there and claim he couldn't - and Bakugou knew he could! - or would just refuse.

To get the quirks back, they would need some leverage.

They could probably threaten the puke's father but he was a villain! He'd probably just laugh and thank them for giving him his inheritance early. No, it had to be something the mongrel cared about, and while Bakugou didn't know much about cur, he knew that the brat didn't care about his classmates but he did… Now there was an idea.

Katsuki threw himself on to his bed, careful of his cast, as he thought about it.

The worm did care about his friends. In fact… The note to him had just said he should have taken Tomura's offer since it would give him a leg up when he finally turned villain but, the notes to the others had said that if UA wouldn't punish them appropriately, he would and Kirishima's had said that since that bitch had been expelled for just knowing of the rescue mission, then they should have been as well…

The blackguard cared for his friends and they could be leverage.

Except… All Might would never go for it. The Number One Hero was about as white as they came and he'd never condone… Yeah, he just wouldn't do it. But All Might didn't really have an interest in this. He'd already defeated the lowlife's villain father, which was his job and… No, it would be up to Bakugou to show that he could do what it took to get his quirk back.

Where were the hooligan's friends? Deadeyes was with the hobo and the other one… The mechanic one was… at UA which meant… The bitch Ochaco was the only one exposed. Actually, that was perfect…

The phlegm-wad had already acted on her behalf and he'd be devastated if something happened to her now… Giving Katsuki's quirk back in exchange for her safety… Oh… the rat should consider that cheap.

Bakugou felt a grin form on his features. He'd nab the bitch and then…

Wait, he needed somewhere to take her. He couldn't hold her at UA, someone would probably be a goody-goody and here, his house, was the first place that caitiff would look. He'd have to take the bitch somewhere the fucker wouldn't expect…

And he knew just the place… Bakugou grinned.

It was perfect!

He'd have his quirk back before the day was out.

"Auntie Inko!" Bakugou called as he pounded on the door with his good arm.

He had the bitch Ochaco but it hadn't been easy! There had been some other morons out to get her. He had no idea what they were after but he'd managed to get Ochaco away from them. They probably wanted to blackmail Izuku but no! Ochaco was his leverage, and he wasn't about to let anyone take her. He really wished he'd had his quirk then. Even with one arm broken, they wouldn't have lasted five seconds against him… As it was, once he'd gotten Ochaco out of her apartment, she'd been able to float them into the air and they could run.

So maybe it had worked out. She'd trusted him just enough he could get the jump on her. He'd knocked her out and carried her here. It had been a bitch with his arm in a sling but he wasn't a weakling and to get his quirk back… He'd do it again.

"Auntie Inko!" Bakugou called again before he heard footsteps from the apartment.

Inko opened the door and Bakugou would have barged in but for the chain.

"Katsuki?" her voice was shocked.

"You gotta help me, Auntie Inko," he said, trying to sound desperate. It wasn't actually that hard. He just needed her to let him in.

"I.. what… Of course," she replied and the door closed briefly for Inko to release the chain.

Bakugou didn't wait, he barrelled through the door to throw Ochaco down on the couch. The hussy was heavier than she looked.

"Katsuki!" Inko exclaimed, seeing what he'd brought.

"I just need to stay here for a little while," he said. "Just until Izuku can get here," he added.

At the name Inko gave him a sharp look. "Katsuki don-"

"I'm not going to hurt her," he interrupted. "I just want him to give my quirk back… And he can see you," he added. There was no way Inko would say no to him, not for the chance to see her son.

"I…" her mouth worked but she didn't say anything. It was a weak response but Katsuki had realised that weak responses were actually opportunities. He could use them. If the extras were so weak that they couldn't make up their minds, then he'd make it up for them. They obviously wanted to be led, so there was no reason they shouldn't follow him.

Inko was no different and after a moment of trying to come up with an answer, she just nodded.

"Now, where's her phone?" Katsuki muttered.

He'd message that dumbass and once the pillock had agreed to give back he's quirk, he'd actually tell the halfwit where to come. And if the idiot tried anything then… well, he'd just say he'd rescued Ochaco from the vigilantes. Or some other shit.

He had the power now and the retard had better respect that.

Bakugou stared at the small television set Inko had. He could not believe what he was seeing. He hadn't been able to find Ochaco's phone and had raged a bit when he realised that meant it was back at her apartment. And he couldn't go there. So he'd been trying to think of some other way of contacting the knobhead, when he'd turned on the TV to see if there was any news. He'd been greeted with the sight he could see now… on every channel.

The miserable sluggard was standing against a black backdrop and was addressing everyone who could see the image. The wanker was dressed in what looked to be black leather and he was showing off. His eyes glowed green, and there were scales on his face and fangs in his mouth. The tosser looked like some sort of animal. The ass probably thought it made him look cool.

"Bakugou, this is why I said you should have taken Tomura's offer. He would have kept you from making juvenile mistakes, while you learnt the ropes of villainy. But since you've decided to go it alone, with kidnapping," there was palpable disgust in the tone, "you get to bear the consequences yourself."

The jerk paused. Probably for some sort of dramatic effect. Bakugou rolled his eyes. The only consequences he'd be bearing was the return of his quirk.

"So, I hope everyone's listening. If you can tell me where Bakugou is, I will give you 1.5million Yen. If you can acquire Bakugou for me, alive please, relatively unharmed, which shouldn't be too hard since he's quirkless, I will give you 3.7 million Yen. No questions asked."

On the screen, words confirming the amounts and conditions appeared.

Bakugou swallowed. Fuck! This was bad.

"I am not offering anything for the return of the hostage because if you are dumb enough to attempt Bakugou's negotiation then I'll be doing the world a favour by removing you."

The screen went black.

And then a few moments later the news returned.

The idiot presenters sat for a couple of seconds, looking shell shocked before they actually said something. "That was an unexpected interruption," the man said.

Yeah, no shit, Sherlock. Bakugou shook his head and picked up the remote to turn the TV off.

He had to think. Who would know he was here? He'd lost the dumbass vigilantes before he'd come here. He hadn't told his old man or the old hag where he was going and he sure as hell hadn't mentioned his plans to anyone in UA.

So the only person who knew where he was Inko and she was in the kitchen making tea or something…

Bakugou listened. It was rather quiet. Inko had been in the kitchen.

He looked up and jerked forward, barely dodging the claws that stabbed into the couch where he had been.

"What the fuck?" Bakugou cried as he jumped to his feet and spun to face Inko.

Except it wasn't Inko. It wasn't… But there was no one else it could be. It was dressed in the same salmon jumper and blue skirt that Inko had been wearing earlier but now, where his ineffectual Aunt had been, stood someone who… Bakugou shivered. He'd been fighting since he was four, honing his quirk, so he had experience. The thing before him felt experienced. It was fast and strong and… It slashed claws at him again. He avoided them by jumping back, which was a mistake, because it gave the Inko thing the chance to clear the couch in a smooth jump.

This was not Inko. This thing was lean and muscles rippled all over it. Her green eyes glowed and she no longer had hands but instead sported long claws. There were the remains of a house slipper on one foot, with the claws protruding through them. Inko's teeth were bared and Bakugou couldn't tell what other physical enhancements she had. Her hair didn't even appear to be hair anymore. Instead it looked like armour.

"Auntie Inko?" Bakugou said. What the fuck had happened?

She just growled at him.

Bakugou threw a punch with his good arm. This thing might look like Inko on steroids but it was still Inko, still soft. The base was weak. He just had to overwhelm it. The thing that was Inko caught his punch. And held his hand. Bakugou tried to pull back but… He couldn't move.

The thing that was Inko closed its claws around his fist and Bakugou hissed as they broke the skin. Then it twisted his arm down. The motion was quick and Bakugou couldn't resist it. He felt the ligaments in his arm stretch, and bend and then snap with his bone. He howled his pain and tried to kick it. The Inko-thing just slashed at him and Bakugou felt the gashes form on his face. The force threw him into the wall, which jarred his cast arm and did not do good things for his newly broken one. Stars danced in his eyes and Bakugou gasped, tasting blood. Before he could do anything else, another blow fell, and everything went black.

Inko looked down at Katsuki. He was bleeding from his wrist but she'd been careful and already the blood was slowing. For Mitsuki's sake, for the past few years, she'd overlooked something Hisashi had told her about Katsuki but it was easy to see that Hisashi had been right. Bakugou had been bullying Izuku when they were younger.

She felt terrible about that. How could she not have seen it? How could she have let it happen? Inko shook her head. Well, it wasn't going to happen anymore. She gave Ochaco a look, but the girl was still unconscious. Carefully, Inko arranged her into a more comfortable position and then considered the situation. She needed to let Izuku know that she had Bakugou and his friend and to do that… She didn't have Izuku's number, but she did have Hisashi's. Inko wondered if he'd left his phone when he went to fight All Might? She didn't know but it was the easiest way to contact Izuku, so she'd have to try.

If that didn't work then… she thought she had Kurogiri's contact somewhere.

She'd just… have to find a way.

-ted:o-

Kurogiri felt a phone buzz. It was a bit odd because the buzz was not from his phone. It was from one he kept on for other reasons. Carefully, he pulled it out and looked down at it. The screen unlocked but Kurogiri had seen that the buzz was from a message. He flicked to it and felt his eyes widen when he saw the contents.

I have Bakugou.

It was simple but… It hadn't even been five minutes since Izuku had sent the broadcast and for someone to have Bakugou already and then to have Sensei's phone number… Izuku was blessed.

"Is there something?" Izuku asked, looking up from where he was sitting.

"A response," Kurogiri told him.

"Already?" Dabi demanded, shocked.

"Already," the misty man confirmed. He glanced down at the phone to confirm the contact. Inko.

Oh… this was going to be interesting. Izuku might accept that his father was a villain but was he ready to accept what his father had done to his mother? That might be pushing his level of acceptance.

"Who?" Izuku asked, curious though he was also eager to get Bakugou.

"Shall I bring them here?" Kurogiri countered. It would probably be best for Izuku to meet Inko at a place he controlled and that did not raise any residual childhood memories. If he saw his old apartment then… Actually Kurogiri didn't know. He was making assumptions.

"They are safe?" Izuku was shocked.

"Quite safe," he confirmed. Inko couldn't hurt Izuku now. Not physically at least.

He nodded and gestured to a spot for Kurogiri to bring whoever it was through.

Kurogiri couldn't hesitate further. He opened a gate, reaching for the apartment he knew from previous trips. A few moments later, Bakugou's unconscious form was hefted through the gate.

Izuku just stared. This really wasn't what he was expecting. He moved over and grabbed the unconscious teen's arm to pull him out of the way. Kurogiri noted that Bakugou's other arm was broken now, and he was bleeding from the wrist. That was no doubt Inko's work. She'd had to subdue him. The short woman emerged from the warp gate a little later, carrying Ochaco in a fireman's carry.

"Over there," Kurogiri indicated to her, gesturing to a larger chair where Ochaco could be put down. Inko immediately went there and carefully bent over so that Ochaco was deposited into the chair. She was unconscious but appeared otherwise fine.

Izuku was just staring. His green eyes were wide and he watched the proceedings without saying anything. Finally, when Inko stood upright and turned to face him Izuku blinked. "Mother?" he whispered the word.

Kurogiri reformed and waited. The whole room waited. The villains somehow knew there was far more going on here than they believed.

"Izuku!" Inko cried, but somehow managed to hold herself steady. Actually, Kurogiri knew how she did that. No Nomu was allowed to approach their master without permission. He had permission in his orders to behave naturally. He didn't know what Inko's exact orders were.

"Mother," Izuku repeated more firmly but he looked confused.

"That's your mum?" the gathered villains were more than a little surprised.

They were even more surprised when Inko went to her knees. "I am so sorry, sweetie! I'm so, so sorry! I didn't know Bakugou was bullying you because you didn't have a quirk! I didn't know they were-" she actually sobbed.

The villains gave Izuku a look. Him! Not having a quirk? That was preposterous.

"I won't let it happen again!" Inko said, still looking at the ground.

"So you brought Izu Bakugou?" Himiko asked.

"I think Bakugou had to be with her already," Mr Compress mused. "There was barely any time between the broadcast and her call."

"Was he there already?" Izuku asked.

"He was. He came earlier with Ochaco," Inko told him.

"And you were going to let him stay?"

"I was waiting to see what you would say," Inko replied.

Izuku considered that for a few moments before he nodded. "You wanted to see me?"

"So much!" Inko cried.

That made sense. She was his mother and while she had hurt him, Izuku could see she was repentant. He probably owed her a second chance. Not everyone was as observant as his father. "Did anyone see Bakugou coming to your house?"

"Probably," she told him. "He wasn't discreet."

Izuku huffed. That sounded like Bakugou. "Well, you can take the guest room," he decided. "Kurogiri could you show her that?" he instructed.

Kurogiri gave him a long look. Izuku didn't know but the last time Inko was in a guest room, was the last time she'd been fully alive. He nodded and helped Inko to stand. This had gone better than he thought it might.

"Twice," Izuku called. "Let's make another broadcast. I think the public deserve to know how helpful they've been," he explained.

Himiko laughed. So did the others. Such a broadcast would absolutely drive the heroes up the wall. "And after that," Izuku almost purred, "I think I will spend some quality time with Bakugou."

"And what about Ochaco?" Whisper asked, deliberately looking at the unconscious teen.

"I'll write her a note, and then Kurogiri can take her home," Izuku announced immediately. "I told Ochaco she could choose her future, and I meant it," he explained.

That got him a few odd looks, but the villains nodded.

Izuku looked over at Bakugou as he thought about what he wanted to say to the world a second time. It really wasn't much. Just a thank you to the public for understanding his desires but Bakugou would have to be on screen.

He smiled.

This had been a good day.
