Chapter 10
Memories of The Sin
Izuku stood at the top of the pile as he gazed at the now glistening ocean, the trash and rubble cleared away as he gazed at the rising sun. Four months of a grueling task, he never thought he'd finish so quickly but he did.
All this felt way too familiar though, as if… he had done this before. In a distant past, where he stood on a pile of trash, training to be…
Izuku held his head as it started to ache.
"Something that you are given because you're lucky and something that you are given because you're recognized, are different in the essence,"
Izuku looked at the sun as he couldn't help but feel accomplished. He felt more confident in himself than he did before.
"Well done…Young…"
Izuku turned around as he saw a man with blonde hair and hallowed eyes. He was skinny but he smiled nonetheless. He stood there like a proud father, a gold aura faintly surrounding him as Izuku was stunned.
"Kid?"
He then snapped out of it to see Henry standing where the blonde man stood.
"You alright? Did cleaning this beach make you go crazy or what?" Henry joked around.
Izuku shook his head, "Sorry… just thinking…"
"Aside from that, you exceeded my expectations Izuku, this task was supposed to be finish in 10 months but here you are, I have seen it,"
Izuku looked at Henry as he widened his eyes.
"You are ready, Faith and I will teach you the types of threats that Valkyries go against," Henry said.
Izuku nodded as he smiled.
"Thank you sir!"
Henry smiled as he crossed his arms, "But first we need to teach you how to fight,"
Izuku nodded, "Right!"
He then blinked for a second, "Wait, is it going to be Faith?"
Henry shook his head, "No, where do you think she learned how to fight from?"
Izuku widened his eyes as Henry was grinning mischievously, "I maybe 70 years old but my body can still move,"
Izuku looked at him astonished as Henry turned to the car, "Now come on Let's go home, you must be hungry,"
Izuku then proceeded to follow behind him as they made their way to the car.
Unkown Location
Snapping and clicking could be heard throughout the space as puppets surrounded a monster that was strung up as the puppets admired it. The best mimicked the color of a honkai beast but what made it different was that it was more humanoid and with a bird beak. It's eyes were completely red and the brain of it was revealed on its head.
The puppets giggled as they gazed upon the beast. "It's almost ready, the completion of the prototype will be done shortly,"
"How will we know this beast is capable?"
"It is merely a prototype, send it to that energy signal, we will see results,"
The puppets collectively spoke as one puppet placed its hand on the beasts chest, "A byproduct of Honkai, a human and a long lost factor that the humans have lost, Quirks, and even if we do lose this one,"
Above them were strings that strung up an army of these humanoid creatures as the puppet laughed maniacally.
"We have plenty more,"
Then a puppet looked at a stage as five capsules were on it. It giggled in enjoyment as the five capsules were their final trump card if all the other monsters were defeated.
Schicksal HQ
Shigaraki stood in the simulation room as he was surrounded by Honkai Beasts, a variety of them, Templars. Archangels, Knights, Imperative, and a copy of Benares. He looked up at a balcony covered in armored glass as he saw Otto and Durandal watching him.
"This is a test to see how you've grasped your Herrscher strength and powers, use anything means necessary to win,"
Shigaraki grinned as he stared at his targets, each and everyone of them were his enemies.
Durandal pressed a button as a countdown was initiated as an AI voice announced,"Begin!"
Without wasting time, Shigaraki appeared in front of the Benares copy as the many Honkai Beast that surrounded him were already in the process of decaying. Shigaraki's eyes glowed bright red as he brought out his hands as a black orb formed and shot out. Benares Copy flew out of the way as it circled Shigaraki and launched a barrage of breath attacks, Fire, Ice, and electricity.
Shigaraki's body started to warp as a shield of fingers covered his entire body, a massive explosion was created by the combined elements. Benares Copy watched carefully as it didn't move its eyes anywhere but the smoke.
"What are you looking at lizard,"
Benares Copy swiftly turned its head as Shigaraki was above it. Shigaraki lifted his right arm forward as a black energy enveloped his arm. It pulsated as red and black electricity circulated around his arm.
Then, all was heard was, *Snap*
A black and red wave shot out as soon as Shigaraki snapped his fingers. Traveling at an incredible speed, and in an instant the Benares Copy crumbled to dust.
The simulation was over as Shigaraki landed on the ground as the room was decaying but it wasn't the room it was a barrier as it crumbled, the barrier was made for Shigaraki. Once Shigaraki started to decay the barrier, the barrier would latch itself off of the walls itself and therefore not spread onto the walls. After the barrier detaches, a new one is created.
But even so, "Shigaraki is truly an Incarnate of Destruction, his quirk mixed with the Herrscher core is a force that cannot be stopped,"
Otto and Durandal were in the air thanks to a hover plate they were standing on. Even if the Barrier was meant for Shigaraki, it could not contain it all as the balcony they stood on was decaying. Lucky the Barrier had a negation to somewhat of a degree where the decay wouldn't spread.
Durandal looked at Otto, "Is it really safe for him to be here, this man is far from human,"
"He was never human to begin with ever since he obtained that power," Otto smiled at Shigaraki's progress.
Shigaraki looked at the two, he grinned as he dusted himself off, "Are we done here?"
"Yes," Otto said as the plate hovered down, he turned to Durandal, "Be sure to keep an eye on him at all times,"
Durandal nodded, "I'll make sure he stays in line,"
Shigaraki waved his hand as he was feeling the power flowing inside his body. Combining Honkai Energy with Decay increased the destructive capability of it and also allowed him to expand his attack repertoire. To that black orb to the attack he just used.
He was holding back a bit as he was still trying to figure out what to do now, he took Otto's offer because he didn't see any other choice for him and he wanted to test out this strange energy. During the four months of his stay, he had help with Otto and the blonde hair woman.
He heard someone land behind him as he turned to see the woman, "You're getting more dangerous by the day," she stated as she was on guard, Shigraki smirked mockingly.
"Don't worry, I ain't gonna do anything…yet that is,"
Durandal pointed her Lance at his throat but Shigaraki was unfazed by this as they stared at each other for a bit. The tension was dense as the two were ready to strike each other.
Shigaraki touched the Lance but it didn't decay as he directed it away from his throat. He walked past her, heading for the exit of the simulation room. Durandal, still wary about him as she followed behind him, keeping a close eye on him.
While Shigaraki was walking ahead of her, he used Search, scanning any weakness that this facility had. He saw a few but he noticed something else, it was still alive. That bright light.
With Izuku
Izuku looked up at Henry from the ground as he didn't know what happened, it all happened so fast.
Henry took him back to his house and went deep inside the forest to find a clearing. Henry told him to throw a punch at him as Izuku was confused at this request but nevertheless he did.
Only to be flipped over once he threw the punch. Izuku blinked a bit as he quickly stood up and looked at Henry.
"We'll be training on hand to hand combat,"
Izuku widened his eyes as he thought about it, "That makes sense, since Honkai energy can infect a person and turn them into zombies," he deduced.
Henry smiled, "Always thinking, then we will start with just the movements, then light spars,"
Izuku nodded, "Right!"
With Kiana
As she sat at the table, she thought about what Izuku was doing at the moment. Over the past 4 months, she followed him and noticed that he was cleaning a beach but also training his body as well.
When she reported this to Theresea, Tesla was shocked and flabbergasted at the new information. Kiana didn't know why but she continued to keep watching him, but she also thought about her encounter with Mei and that puppet on the roof.
She hadn't seen her in a long time, she missed her but that puppet had her worried. They were aiming for Izuku, Kiana had a gist of why, that strange power he had. If the Honkai was targeting him then she had to do everything in her power to protect him.
But even if she did resolve herself to protect him, it begged the question, why was he being hunted by them. So many questions and yet none of them were answered.
She got up as she put on her orange hoodie. She walked out of the dining room as she looked up to see Bronya and Seele talking in the halls.
Bronya noticed her as she waved at her, Kiana waved back. "Kiana, are you going to observe Subject Izuku?" she asked.
Kiana shook her head, "No, just going for a stroll, besides Class Monitor is doing that right now,"
"T-Then can we come with, we haven't really explored much of the city," Seele asked.
Kiana smiled, "Yeah sure, the more the merrier,"
Bronya was observing her as she remembered what happened to her. Kiana told them that they had an encounter with Mei and a strange puppet that was targeting Izuku.
And Kiana wasn't acting herself, she had been more on edge lately. She couldn't risk her doing something risky.
With Mei
"Any new changes with the target?"
"None so far, nothing new has appeared since that day," Mei reported to Kevin via hologram. Kevin put his hands over his mouth as he started to think about what Mei reported to him.
Something was targeting their target and an intent to kill the boy. Kevin started to ponder on what was after him.
"I see, check in with me again once you see any changes, for now keep a close eye on him, eliminate any Honkai that interferes," Kevin ordered.
"Understood," Mei responded.
Kevin ended the call as Mei sat on her bed still wondering what to do. For the past 4 months, she's been keeping a close eye on him especially whenever they meet up. No changes to his memories but she noticed that he has been getting more of a tone muscle build.
Mei guessed that Izuku had an encounter with that puppet or he was working out in order to protect himself from the Honkai Beasts.
Mei then pulled out her phone as she clicked on contacts. She saw the time as it was still early and Izuku's school wouldn't start in another 40 minutes. She then texted him.
Raiden Mei: Hey, just wanted to make sure, are we still up for tomorrow?
She waited for the response as she still remembered that day. Where they were talking at the park. She never really thought much but this could be a good way to observe him and learn more about him, though she did get a sense of what he usually does over the past 4 months. He analyzes anything to perfect detail but sometimes his thoughts leak out and becomes a muttering mess.
And whenever she talks about Valkyries, he is so interested that he has a habit of taking notes but he never had a notebook with him so it was as if he was writing it on the air. Which Mei found interesting.
She heard a buzz on her phone as she looked at it and saw Izuku's text.
Izuku Forthbright: Yeah, 3pm at the park
She smiled, she was glad that he didn't cancel, usually he had a habit of it and it kind of upset her because she didn't know what he was doing but looking at the state of his body, she would guess that he would be working out.
Raiden Mei: Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then
She then placed her phone down, as she was about to lay down she heard a knock.
"Raiden, we got a mission," she heard Raven call out.
Raiden rose up from her bed as she sighed and got ready.
With Izuku
Izuku rubbed his cheek as it was bandaged up. He didn't expect Henry to hit him so hard even after saying he would do some lite spars. That was anything but lite, Henry was ruthless and Izuku still felt a bit of pain from it but not too much. Maybe it was because the training he did.
He looked at his phone as he gazed at the messages he got from Mei. He still was a bit embarrassed that he actually said all of that.
One week ago
It's was 10 at night on a Saturday, Izuku and Mei was at the usual place. Talking about what was going on with each other.
Mei become a little open to him as she even shared some meals that she cooked for him which Izuku was shocked at how delicious they were.
"This is really good Raiden-san, I wish I could cook like this," Izuku praised her as Raiden watched him eat.
"Thank you, though I'm surprised that you're eating since you know you're working out," she called out.
"Yeah but it's a cheat day for me so as long as I burn off the calories I consume then I should be good plus this workout has been doing me a solid," Izuku reassures her.
Mei looked at his arms as she noticed his biceps were more defined.
"I can see that," Mei said.
Izuku looked at her, "So what have you've been up to lately Raiden-san?"
She sighs as she leans more back on the bench, "Frequent Honkai Beasts and infected have been appearing lately so just the usual job as always."
Izuku looked at her as she seemed pretty tired, "So you haven't had a day to relax?" He said with concern in his voice.
Mei thought about that time when that puppet appeared out of nowhere and her "reunion" with Kiana. She had a lot going on and she had been keeping an eye on Izuku for a while, never relaxing one bit.
"You can say that, so many missions have appeared lately so now it's just been exhausting to say the least," she explained.
Izuku nodded as he listened, 'Wow, Valkyries have a tough job, protecting everyone, wonder if that's what Faith feels like everytime she comes home,'
Izuku then realized something, Mei had only been here for a mission but has she ever truly explored this city?
"Wait so you've never really explored this city have you," Izuku pointed out.
Mei looked at him as she nodded, "I haven't really," she said.
"Then, whenever you free how bout I show you around," Izuku suggested.
Mei widened her eyes as she looked at him in shock.
"Yeah, that way you can relax a bit and have time for yourself. Faith showed me all sorts of areas in the city so it should be enough to help you relax," Izuku explained to her.
Mei was still shocked at his suggestion but she thought about it as it would be like what she did, observing him but this time in close proximity.
Izuku then froze a bit as he realized what he just said to her. He offered to show her around the city, go to the places that would have her relax. Just the two of them…
…
…
…
'Did I just ask her out on a date!?'
Izuku's face turned into a tomato as steam came off of his head.
"I-I-IfyouwantImeanidontwanttotakeawaysomuchofyourtimeijustthoughtthatyoucouldhavesometimeofftorelaxandall-"
"Okay,"
Izuku stopped his rambling as he looked at her with shock, "Huh?"
"Okay, when can we meet?"
"Uh…"
Izuku didn't think she would say yes since he knew Valkyries were always busy and he thought she wouldn't have time.
"How bout… next week at 3, we meet here at the usual spot," Izuku said.
Mei smiled at him, "Then, I'll see you next week then," she got up as she started to head back home.
Izuku was still processing her answer as a million thoughts were going through his head.
"Izuku,"
He snapped out of it as he looked back at her. She had her head turned and smiled at him, "Don't cancel on me, okay?"
Izuku blushed as he nodded, and then she left. From then on Izuku was completely panicking and losing his mind.
Present
Izuku sighed as he never thought that he would do that. He just had to make sure to not have plans tomorrow. He still couldn't believe that he asked her that, maybe it was because he wanted to know more about her. Raiden Mei was also a mystery to Izuku as well. She was always around him whenever he least expected it, almost as if she was watching him from afar.
Izuku has met so many people for the past months now. He wasn't sure to make of it but he was glad that he met them, if he wasn't saved by Henry then he wouldn't have met all of the people that he made bonds with and-
And yet the shattered bonds are left to linger within
Izuku widened his eyes as he looked up as he saw in the crowd of people a dark mist that had green eyes. It stared him down, cursing him and the emotions that he felt were anger.
Deep inside, locked within are memories of the past that you've forgotten
Izuku held his head as it was ringing out loud inside his head.
How could you forget…your greatest sin…
Izuku looked around as he wondered what that voice was. He wasn't sure but it left a bad feeling inside his heart. Something that he had forgotten, Izuku held his chest where his heart was.
"My…greatest sin?"
Izuku looked at his hand as it was shaking, he steeled his nerves as headed to school. He couldn't worry about that now. For now, he should just enjoy the moment that he has right now…
Pushing that feeling deep down within, along with his forgotten memories.
Hashbul Private High School
"Hey Izuku, how do you do question 10?" Dan asked.
Izuku sighed as he pointed towards a formula that he wrote on his paper, "I told you that you gotta use this formula that I wrote for you,"
"Yeah you did but the question is not exactly in the order of the formula," Dan said.
"That's because you have to rearrange it into that formula,"
"How?"
Izuku drooped his head low as he sighed again, "Mr. Keith explained this during class session,"
"Bold of you to assume that I pay attention!" Dan boistered.
"Right, forgot," Izuku leaned back into his chair.
"Anyways, forget about the assignment right now, you got any plans this Saturday, we can go to that new sushi place that just opened-"
"Sorry Dan but I got plans that day," Izuku said.
"Huh? Is it work, you usually don't work on weekends?" Dan asked.
"Not quite, you see I um…" Izuku was trying to find the words to explain to him.
Dan was eagerly waiting for him to respond.
Izuku let out a breath as he looked at Dan, "I got plans…with a girl,"
Dan remained silent as his mouth dropped low. Shocked at what his Best friend just said.
"HUHHH!?"
"Not so loud Dan!" Izuku shushed him as their classmates turned to them because of how loud Dan was.
Izuku just silently apologized to everyone.
Dan snapped out of his trance as he slammed his hands on his desk, "Alright spit it Broccoli! When, where, how, who?!"
Izuku started to regret ever telling Dan as the boy was now pestering him for answers.
"Alright, could you keep it down, I'll tell you," Izuku said.
Dan then sat down but the bell for lunch rang as that got both of their attention as they started to pack up and head for lunch.
"Let's talk about this on the roof buddy, this is crazy, never in my life would've I thought amnesia boy here scored himself a date," Dan bewildered by this.
"I'm just shocked that she actually said yes," Izuku said.
"Alright come on Let's get lunch,"
Izuku sighed as it was going to be a long day for him.
On the roof
"So it was the that you keep talking to at the cafe," Dan said.
"Yes,"
"And you offered to show her around the city," Dan continued.
Izuku nodded in response. Dan gave a smirk as he elbowed Izuku.
"You sly green head, maybe in your past life you were a lady magnet," he teased.
Izuku looked at him with doubt, "I doubt that, either way hopefully I can help her relax, she just seems busy all the time so I just want to help her relax,"
Dan looked at Izuku as he was thinking about ways or places that could help her relax. Dan smiled, "You're really a kind dude you know that, no wonder why she said yes,"
Izuku looked at Dan in confusion, "Huh? What are you talking about?"
"Nothing anyways, what are you going to wear?" Dan asked.
Izuku froze a bit as he didn't think about that. He scratched his cheek, "I…uh…haven't thought about that one,"
Dan smacked his forehead, "Alright Izuku, please don't wear your plain t-shirt that unironically says 'T-shirt'"
Izuku gulped as he just looked the other way, not responding to his friend.
"Gah damn it, alright Izuku after school head down to the mall and get some new clothes," Dan told him.
"But I don't know what to even wear?" Izuku said.
"Just ask the vendors, they'll help you," Dan said.
"Why can't you help?" Izuku asked.
"Because I got work, Gabriel is making me work your shift since I called out that one time," Dan grumbled.
Izuku just chuckled, "Shouldn't have called out that day,"
"Hey, that new game came out. What was I supposed to do, not play it?" He argued.
"Well I mean, you didn't even beat it yet have you," Izuku said.
Dan drooped his head low as a single tear came out, "No…I'm stuck on chapter 5 of the game,"
"Yeah, that Yaksha King did give me a little trouble," Izuku said.
"But that's beside the point!" Dan pointed to Izuku as the boy was startled, "You need to get a new outfit for your date!"
"I wouldn't call it a date more like a tour," Izuku said.
"Still a date, because it's just the two of you," Dan pointed out.
Izuku blushed a bit as he sighed, "Can you at least send me some ideas for outfits that I should get,"
Dan smirked, "Of course, leave it to me buddy,"
The bell then rang as it was time to head back to class. Izuku got up as he looked at a building in front of the school. Looking at the roof but didn't see her.
"Is she not here today?" He muttered as he headed inside.
With Shigaraki
He sat at the table in a white room as he was being monitored by Durandal. He took a bite out of a sandwich he was given as he tried to ignore her gaze. He clicked his tongue as he looked at her.
"Are you just gonna stare at me all day or what?" He was annoyed by her presence.
"Well, I can't exactly leave you alone since you destroyed our entire HQ," she answered sternly.
"And how are you going to stop me from destroying this one," he taunted her, his eyes full of spite.
Then in a moment, her battleship glowed and two phantoms appeared behind Shigaraki, pointing a lance at his neck and a shield at his torso.
"I don't care how many times I have to rip you apart, I will kill you," she said.
Shigaraki's eyes glowed red as he was amused by this as he stood up. Black and red electricity circled around him, shaking the entire room, he stared her down, the strongest Valkyrie in the world. Durandal held her ground as she was ready to impale him with her lance.
She was prepared to kill him but then his energy around him started to die down as he sat back down and finished his sandwich. Trapped in this room with her was already a hindrance. He couldn't just kill her right off the bat, if he could. He used Search on her, trying to find a weak point on her.
He couldn't, but he also learned a lot. Occasionally they sparred and ultimately he couldn't combat against her. She had prowess and combat techniques over him, even though he could land a single touch on her, there was no way she would let him.
Shigaraki then looked to his right as he kept seeing it. Even if he was surrounded by the white space he was in. That bright glowing light was an indication that he was still alive as well. But it changed, it was brighter than before and he could sense that it was much more than when he previously faced it.
It had grown, he didn't know why it was still there…or maybe he knew. He knew it wasn't a fake since it glowed so brightly. He could only guess it was due to the brat. Either way, when he was done here, he would go out and find him and settle the score.
Durandal noticed this every time she was monitoring him. He kept looking off somewhere, especially in the same direction that she noticed.
"May I ask something?" She spoke up.
Shigaraki turned to her in annoyance, "What,"
"Why do you keep looking at that same direction," she ignored his rude response.
He was silent for a bit as he continued to look at that direction, "Because that damn light is too bright,"
"Light?" She looked at the direction he was looking but she only saw the white walls unless he was talking about the color of the room. "You shouldn't be able to see a light since this room is all white,"
"Of course you can't see it but it's painfully annoying to look at," He said out of annoyance.
"Then why do you keep looking at it," she questioned.
He turned to look at her as she widened her eyes, she felt a slight shiver, she saw his left eye turn pure white, "Because it's a source of power,"
She heard two voices simultaneously come out of his mouth. Then she saw Shigaraki smack his head as his eye returned to normal red.
"Anyways, I'm going to sleep, leave me alone already,"
Durandal kept looking at him as she turned around and exited the room. As she walked out and looked to her left as she saw Otto watching the energy signatures on a machine.
She didn't understand what purpose that the Overseer had with Shigaraki but she was curious, she read about the man. In his Era, he was called the Symbol of Fear and Incarnate of Destruction. But she couldn't help that there was more to his story.
With Izuku
Izuku walked out of the clothing store as he sighed and looked at the bag he walked out with.
"Jeez the store clerk offered so many suggestions, almost like she was waiting for someone to ask her," Izuku breathed out as he finally got the clothes that fit him.
He heard his stomach growl as he looked around to find a restaurant as he found a diner across the clothing store.
"I should get something to eat," he said to himself as walled straight to the diner.
As he entered the diner he was greeted by the hostess and was led to a table all to himself. He set the bag on his right as hhelooked at the menu.
"Maybe I should've gone with Dan but he had work so I guess it couldn't be helped," he said as he looked at the menu, he didn't know what to get as he then saw the Katsudon option. He then obviously knew what he was going to get but then he heard.
"Izuku?"
He looked up from his menu as he heard a familiar voice as he looked to his left to see Kiana in her classic hoodie with Bronya and Seele.
"Kaslana?"
Izuku and Kiana stared at each other for a moment as the hostess came by, "Oh do you four know each other?"
A couple of minutes later
Kiana, Bronya, and Seele sat at Izuku's table, sitting across from him as they just ordered their food.
"So you went to go clothes shopping, seems a bit out of character for Subject Izuku," Bronya blurted out.
"B-Bronya-oneechan!"
Izuku awkwardly smiled, "Well I did need to get new clothes, some clothes were getting a bit too tight on me,"
Kiana figured it was due to his training, what he was training for was a mystery to her.
"So what brought you guys out here," he asked.
"Oh just wanted to explore Hashbul, take some time off you know," Kiana said.
Izuku nodded, "Yeah there is a lot of stuff to do here, even though it's a pretty small city:
Kiana looked at him as she wondered if he ever been outside the city, "Hey Izuku,"
"Hm? What is it, Kaslana?"
Kiana smiled awkwardly a bit, "You can just call me Kiana, it's a bit weird hearing my last name,"
"Ah right sorry," Izuku said.
"It's fine, anyways, have you been outside the city before," she asked.
Izuku thought about but he hasn't really, all he ever did was stay in the city trying to find out who he was but he never thought about leaving, "No, I don't think so it never came to mind,"
"Do you want to?" She asked.
"possibly, once I get my memories at least," he said.
He looked at them, "I'm sure you all have been to many places huh,"
Kiana looked down at the table as she nodded, "Yeah…but I doubt i'll ever visit those places again,"
Izuku looked at her with concern, "Huh? What do you mean?"
Kiana's eyes were filled with sorrow, "I…destroyed so many lives… I even…"
Kiana's mind was reminded of her greatest fear, losing control and hurting the people she cared about. Of course she had somewhat of a control of it but she still was there. Trying to torment her but even if that was the case. She couldn't deny who she was, an experiment.
"Izuku, Valkyries are people who save people but me…I'm just a monster," Kiana said.
Izuku widened his eyes, Bronya looked at her as she was about to interject and change the subject until.
"A Honkai Invasion is in the Plaza, evacuate the area and wait for Valkyries,"
Izuku looked out the window as he saw people running. He turned to see the three of them gone as he turned around to see then leaving the building to confront it.
Izuku didn't understand, Kiana called herself a monster but yet… she still chooses to… even when he was attacked… she chose to… Izuku steeled himself as he rushed out of the building too. He stopped as people were running away in a panic, trying not to get infected.
Izuku saw a man fall on the ground. Izuku rushed to his aid as he helped him up.
"Thank you kid!" as he continued to run.
Izuku turned to see Kiana saving a little girl and carrying her to safety as well as Seele and Bronya making sure people evacuated from the area.
Izuku still didn't understand why she called herself that. He couldn't see her like that, not when she's fighting to save people.
Kiana put the child done as she smiled at her, "You're gonna be okay,"
The child looked behind her as she widened her eyes, "Mama?"
Kiana widened her eyes as she turned to see a woman under rubble as her leg was trapped. She was about to rush to her but a flock of Archangels appeared in front of her as she shot them all down. She couldn't go full power, there were too many people around. She looked at she saw Seele dealing with a couple Templars and Bronya was making sure people were evacuated, there were too many things stopping her.
She turned to see a Knight was approaching the fallen woman. Kiana widened her eyes as she dodged and shot an Archangel but then she turned to see the little girl still in the vicinity. If she went to help the woman then the girl would be surrounded and killed but if she didn't help the woman then this girl would lose her mother.
Kiana didn't have a choice, her left eye turned yellow as she was about to summon a Void Needle and clear the area but she was hesitant. She didn't want to hurt them, she didn't want to be deemed a monster.
That was until she saw a spark of green appear in between the woman and the Knight. Izuku was in a low stance as his right fist was reeled back. A red energy traced his veins as green electricity was dancing around him.
For Izuku, he saw what was going on, he didn't stop and think. He remembered what he told Mei,
"My heart forces my body to move on its own…to Save the person right in front of me, to reach them,"
Izuku's arm was now covered in a green energy as the electricity became more violent, surging throughout the area. His right sleeve of his school uniform tore apart at the intense energy he was releasing.
He heard a sentence that he seemed to have heard a long time ago and a word.
"Whenever you want to call upon this power, clench your buttcheeks kid and scream this from the depths of your heart!"
Izuku threw his punch at blinding speed as it collided with the beast vaporizing it on the moment of impact.
"Smash!"
A massive blast of wind blasted through the area as Kiana covered the little girl as Bronya put up a protective barrier around her and the people near including Seele.
Kiana then felt cold, a cold shiver but it wasn't from her own, she looked as she saw the Herrscher of the Void look at Izuku with genuine shock and fear.
All she heard from her was…
"This is only what a fragment of what his power can do,"
Kiana widened her eyes as she looked as everything including the Knight was gone. The Archangels and Templars were gone, blasted away by the powerful wind. It almost reminded her of the Herrscher of the Wind.
Then she felt a rain droplet hit her head as she looked up, the sky was replaced with gray clouds circling like a storm was about to brew. It started to rain as the winds kept blowing, and the city was engulfed by the sudden rain. The rain clouds kept gathering as it kept expanding further throughout the area, extending out of the city.
Kiana looked at Izuku as he stood there with his fist out forward. He too was shocked at what just happened.
With a single punch, he changed the weather.
In the ruins of the old city, Mei and Raven were still dealing with some infected and Honkai beasts until they noticed that the sky became gray as it started to rain. Mei cut down a ln Emperor as she looked up and felt the raindrop on her.
"It's raining?"
Raven finished her side as she pulled her hoodie on, "I didn't see anything about rain clouds today,"
Mei kept looking up, 'I hope this doesn't last long,' she hoped that it wouldn't go on for awhile.
Izuku breathed heavily as he stumbled a bit as he looked at the destruction he caused. Everything in front of him was destroyed, the Honkai Beast eradicated, the buildings were on the verge of falling. Then pain ensued in his head as he clasped his hands on his head.
A strong ringing noise kept echoing inside his head.
"Argh!"
He heard cries, almost as if they were calling for him. It kept getting louder and louder.
"You had nothing to begin with!"
Izuku then saw a man with white long hair and red eyes.
"After all I'm your villain!"
"Izuku!"
Izuku looked up to see Kiana as she grabbed his arm and pulled him up, "We need to go!"
"Huh?"
She dragged him out of there as Bronya and Seele followed behind. Other Valkyries were arriving, trying to stop them but they kept going.
Izuku looked back as he saw many people staring at him, they all had a look of curiosity but also…a hint of concern. He saw people wondering how he did that but he couldn't hear what they were saying since Kiana was dragging him away from the scene.
They ran for a while until they got near the abandoned building where Kiana took Izuku last time. They got up all the way to the roof, catching their breaths. Izuku looked at Kiana as she then snapped her head to Izuku which surprised Izuku.
She got close to his face, "What was that?! What kind of power was that?!" She asked as Izuku took a step back.
"I…I'm still trying to figure it out myself," he said.
Kiana looked at his arm as she noticed it was still glowing and the 'scars' on it were black. Kiana let go of his arm but as soon as she did, Izuku felt immense pain on it as he held it.
"Graagh! What the…!" Pain was coursing through his arm but it wasn't broken.
Bronya walked up to Izuku as she did a scan on his arm. It took a second as she then looked at Izuku, "You pulled some muscles on you arm, you must've used this power on instinct which your body wasn't used to yet, Subject Izuku,"
She then decided to take a full body scan as she noticed the energy coursing through his body but the source was more prominent in his heart. She didn't detect any Honkai infection which was good but the energy signal was unknown to her in her system.
Kiana looked at Izuku, "When did you get these powers?"
"I honestly don't know, they awakened when I witnessed my first Honkai Invasion, and it's been random sometimes,"
Kiana was concerned as she thought about it, 'This is what they're afraid of?'
Bronya then received a call from Theresa as she answered the call,
"What happened!? An Energy spike was detected at your previous location, and it was more powerful than the last time! Is everything alright? Is Kiana alright?!" They heard Theresa worry through the call as Kiana sighed as she smiled a bit.
"I'm fine Auntie,"
"And that energy signal was from Subject Izuku, he kind of…"
She looked up at the sky as the rain was slowly stopping, "Caused it to rain,"
Izuku just scratched his head as he was still confused on how he did that, and he didn't know that he could release a punch like that.
Theresa was silent as they heard a sigh on the other side, "Alright, for now just head on back to the Hyperion, and tell Izuku to stay out of trouble for crying out loud,"
"Roger," as the call ended and looked at Seele and Kiana.
"Let's head back then," They both nodded as they were about to leave.
"Wait hold on," Izuku called out.
They looked at him in confusion as he hesitated a bit but he steeled his nerves, "Kiana, can I talk to you real quick,"
Kiana was shocked as she looked at Seele and Bronya, the latter only nodded at her, "We'll wait for you,"
The two left them alone as Kiana looked at Izuku as she was wondering what he wanted to talk about.
"What's up Izuku?"
"Remember our conversation in the diner?" Izuku asked.
Kiana froze a bit as she rubbed her right arm, "Oh that, just forget about it, it's none of your concern,"
Izuku looked at her as she had so much bitterness and sadness in her eyes. He clenched his fist, he took a step forward.
"Well I can't, not when-"
"Izuku…"
Izuku widened his eyes, Kiana's eyes were so full of doubt and guilt that Izuku felt something inside that he couldn't just ignore.
"Please…just forget about it," she pleaded.
Izuku was shocked at this, he couldn't do that. Not when she offered to help him with his memories. Not when she offered him an invitation to the Hyperion. Not when she helped him with his panic attack. All of that couldn't make him see her that way.
"I gotta go," Kiana turned around.
"Wait, hold on!" Izuku tried to stop her but she turned her head as Izuku still saw it, her sadness.
She smiled but Izuku knew it was fake, she was hiding it behind that smile.
"I'm fine, promise," she said.
He gritted his teeth, "How can you tell me you're fine when you have so much sadness in your eyes!" He shouted.
She stopped in place as she widened her eyes but never facing Izuku, "How can you tell me to forget it when it's hurting you this much!"
She didn't turn around, she didn't look at him. She didn't respond, she then jumped down the building.
"Kiana!" He shouted but it was too late, she was already gone
Izuku stood there, his hand reaching out. He didn't understand it, calling herself a monster when she was far from that. He didn't understand, to hide the pain. Showing a smile that hides the pain, the fear, the sadness. He felt like he had seen those kinds of faces before. The faces that always hide what they truly feel.
Izuku looked as the sun was setting, he needed to head home to get ready for-
Izuku cursed under his breath, "My clothes are at that diner,"
With Kiana
She jumped from building to building as Bronya and Seele were behind her. Bronya was looking at Kiana, she knew that she still felt guilty, she wanted to help her. But Kiana kept pushing them away, never telling them how she felt, always showing her fake smile. Even Izuku knew, that's why he wanted to talk to her but in the end, she pushed him away too.
Kiana however thought about what Izuku said to her.
"How can you tell me to forget it when it's hurting you this much!"
'I'm fine, you shouldn't worry about me Izuku, you have your own things to worry about,' she thought.
As they were heading to the Hyperion, a puppet watched them from afar. A giggle came out of the puppet as it then walked into a portal.
