This is the true tale of how Ibuki and Pullum Purna were captured.
The mission that was supposed to be to save Pullum the daughter of a wealthy Arabian man. Her bodyguard came to their village looking to hire her especially and seemed very intent on doing so(even offering them twice the amount of the original cost just for her to take it personally). In reality, there was never such a mission that Ibuki was visited by Pullum's personal bodyguard Darun Mister an Indian wrestling champion. Instead of the mission being to save Pullum it was instead on that was offered to just any ninja from the village and just Ibuki was chosen for the mission itself. The actual mission being on where she herself was to serve as the bodyguard of Pullum as Darun could not do it because he had a very important match to attend. One that he could not possibly skip or postpone regardless of how much he wanted to and/or try to do so.
The cover story that Pullum was using was that she was using her status as an exotic Middle Eastern heiress to claim she was traveling the world because she could. Thus the why being that she was exotic and the how being that she was an heiress. The real reason was that she was searching for her father, Barba Purna who went missing. Ibuki was serving as Pullum's bodyguard when they were both attacked and captured. Why was she targeted in the first the answer turned out to be rather simple.
Pullum has a relative working for Shadaloo. A relative that was nominated to be part of Shadaloo's executives thus gained even more power and status than they already had previously. What will become of that division of Shadaloo that they were joining and what was the test that they were to undergo to prove they were loyal and deserving enough to have such an honor? The answer was again rather simple as they had previously sold out their own father to get the position they held previously, thus to become an executive the price to pay was increased.
"So you want to be one of my executives" Dantom said
The person that Pullum's relative was going to become one under happened to be Dantom himself.
"There something I want from you to prove that you are loyal enough to Shadaloo to deserve this position," he said
"Whatever it is I will do it to prove my loyalty," they said
"I have some advance in my Dolls process lately finally fixing the flaws that were present within the process. However, while having refined and perfected models is good. Bison wants a mass produced model as well that can serve as foot soldiers that handle all the issues and scenarios that would be not worthy of a true Doll's time and/or effort" Dantom stated.
"Considered it done then as the matter is settled and you may have her" Pullum's relative informed him.
"Are you sure about this as you will never get the see the original here again once I am done" Dantom informs him.
"If handing over my daughter to you is the proof you need to test my worth of becoming one of your executives then you may have her"
The relative who worked for Shadaloo was that had basically just handed Pullum over to Dantom on a silver platter to secure his promotion was none other than her own father Barba Purna. He was the reason that Pullum was captured and handed over to Dantom thus becoming the first Mass Dolls Raks as a result of this.
As for Ibuki who was captured alongside Pullum as she was serving as her bodyguard after all. That was why she was climbing around in the air ducts. She managed to escape and used them to expose the blind spots that existed when it came to ninjas. She would have gotten away if Ibuki did not have the misfortune of catching Saru's attention. Who was then immediately ordered to capture and return Ibuki to be turned into a true Dolls rather than just another Mass one like Pullum had been.
Thus Ibuki was subjected to the Dolls Process turned her into Kunai completely and fully with no way to ever restore her. However, Dantom wants to fix the blind spots that existed in the base towards ninjas and others that might have ninja like abilities. She was allowed to roam around the base as the last remnants of Ibuki with false memories to explore the base thus mapping out all the possible blind spots they have against ninjas and others similar to them. Because he was just like that Dantom when she was on her last run that when Alina somehow resurfaced for real in Marz. Thus decided to have fun killing three birds with one stone.
