1. The Trans AM is the Knight Industries Two Thousand, not just a fancy sports car with a dashboard resembling Darth Vader's bathroom.
2. The Trans AM has the Knight 2000 microprocessor deep inside the chassis. In other words, it is a sentient computer. Yes, it can talk.
3. The computer has a preference when it comes to its name. It, or rather, he prefers to be called KITT. Not, 'HEY COOL CAR!' After all, KITT has his pride.
4. The Trans AM is nearly indestructible. Suffice it to say, KITT is much sturdier than a Tesla.
5. KITT can feel emotions like a human. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be. If you encounter him, his voice, with its Boston Twang, makes it seem like a human being is inside the car instead of a computer.
6. KITT has a partner, a man named Michael Knight. Don't think about separating them. They're joined at the hip figuratively.
7. KITT is fiercely loyal to Michael. He would give up his life to keep his partner safe. If you ever doubt it, try something evil. You'll find out how loyal he is.
8. KITT loves Michael Knight. What? Does a computer love a man? Get your mind out of the gutter. It's not *that* kind of love. The love KITT has for Michael is much deeper than a *fling*.
9. Michael knows about KITT's love and feels the same. It's an unusual love, admittedly. If a man can love a computer, perhaps there's hope that humankind can love society in general and not blow itself out of existence.
10. KITT will find a way to remain with Michael - whether it's this life or the next. If you ask him, he'll tell you on no uncertain terms.
If you ever encounter KITT, say 'hello.' Have a conversation with him. Let him play his favorite music for you. Most of all, smile at a car that is more than just a car.
