Spongebob pulled the key from his pocket and unlocked the door to the Krusty Krab.
He eagerly rushed across the threshold and through the kitchen door to start his favorite thing ever to do. Cook Krabby Patties for the customers.
Mr. Krabs and Squidward usually didn't arrive until right before opening.
Spongebob started up the grill and went in the freezer to grab some frozen patties.
He tossed them on the grill and left them to sizzle while he went to the pantry to grab buns and vegetables.
Whistling a tune while he worked he used his spatula to chop up tomatoes and lettuce.
Within an hour he had nearly three dozen patties made and had fries sizzling in oil.
He took four patties off the grill and put them on a single bun, making a quadruple patty.
He went and put it on the heating tray.
Just then he heard a key jiggling in the lock, signalling his co-workers arrival.
He poked his square head through the order window.
Mr. Krabs walked through the doors with Squidward trailing him.
"Another miserable day." Squidward griped as Mr. Krabs rolled his eyes.
"I just love your enthusiasm Mr. Squidward." Mr. Krabs said.
"Hi Squidward. Good morning Mr. Krabs." Spongebob said with his usual cheerful tone.
Hello, Boyo." Mr. Krabs said while Squidward mumbled a greeting.
Mr. Krabs entered the kitchen and eyed the heating tray.
"Good job Boyo. Look at all that food." Mr. Krabs said.
"Only the best for our loyal patrons." Spongebob said as he saluted with his spatula.
"Keep up the good work." Mr. Krabs disappeared into his office.
A Couple of Hours Later
"Order up! Spongebob yelled as he put a plate on the sill and rang the bell.
Squidward took the plate and handed it to Fred.
Fred thanked him and went to a table.
Patrick entered the restraunt.
He walked up to Squidward.
"Hey Squidward. Four Krabby patties please." Patrick said.
"Like always." Squidward said as he called out Patrick's order.
Spongebob quickly prepared Patrick's order.
Seeing he was out of buns for the fourth patty, he alerted Squidward.
"Well hurry up and get some more then deliver Patrick's order.
Spongebob quickly grabbed several bags of buns from the pantry.
After finishing Patrick's order he picked up the tray and exiting the kitchen, began walking to Patrick's table.
Spongebob was halfway across the dining area when he suddenly pitched forward. He tray flew from his hands and slammed into Fred's face.
Spongebob landed with a thud facedown on the wooden floor.
He didn't move.
