Author's Note: This is from Melody's point of view.
My ears discern whose hearts are perfect pairs,
Whose souls have bonded in an era past.
Now, in this speeding car, caught unawares:
A duo so harmonious I'm aghast.
They complement and mirror equally,
Cool silver neutralizing blazing red.
This backseat is a mess of blasphemy
When they can speak of literature instead.
They sacrifice their lives for senseless goals,
For tragedies the clock cannot turn back,
Attempt, with bloodshed, to fill all the holes
Their stunted psyches can't bear to unpack.
These adversaries mustn't learn too late
That in this rivalry they've found their mate.
