Above the hideout, Falco, Bucky, and Jenny were engaging the enemy fleet. "The enemy battleships are launching fighters!" Jenny informed them as she narrowly avoided the opposing fire. "Damn, there's so many of them!" Falco said as he vaped another enemy fighter. "Jenny! Hit the fighters. Me and Bucky will handle the battleships!" he said as he came out of cover of an asteroid and launched a nova bomb at a battleship, blowing it into oblivion.

"Got it." Jenny and Bucky replied as they went their separate ways. Jenny proceeded to vaporize a squadron of enemy fighters while Bucky narrowed his eyes at the radar. Five battleships surrounded the hideout, where they came from so suddenly, he didn't know. He saw Falco blazing away at the nearest battleship, nearly colliding with it as it exploded.

"Bucky! Concentrate your fire on the battleships!" ordered Falco as he turned away from the explosion and back to position. Glancing to his right, outside of the canopy, he saw a green blast fly right past his Arwing. He pulled a loop and saw the pilot of the enemy fighter as he got above the enemy craft.

Falco grinned at his look of shock and 'shit I'm screwed' on the pilot's face as he painted it with hyper lasers, and it exploded. He grinned again when he saw a battleship explode in the distance, taking a bunch of fighters out with it.

"Good goin', Bucky!" he said impressed. "Thanks. I try." answered back Bucky as he adjusted his goggles with a grin.

Further away, Jenny expertly maneuvered about the hailstorm of laser fire directed her way. Using her abilities and taking advantage of the distraction caused by the explosion, she managed to avoid any damage and ensure her opponents met a quick end. While her powers were not as strong here as they were back home, they were more than enough to let her deal with the lowlifes in front of her, coupled with the fact she was no slouch when it came to dogfighting.

She could remember the last time she had engaged in a single fighter air fight, but she clearly hadn't lost her touch. Taking advantage of the Airwings superior maneuvering, she blitzed through the enemy forces leaving a trail of explosions in her wake.

"I need to remember to thank Krystal for this." She thought to herself, remembering how helpful and welcoming she had been to her. She remembered the long talks she had had with her whenever they had time, finding kinship in their common abilities. When she had felt the presence of another telepath around, she had not expected it to be her, her previous experience with vixen influencing her slightly. But Krystal had proven to be an invaluable friend during these difficult times, she hoped to spend more time with her.

Perhaps if everything proved to go alright with this mission, she could partake on another mission together. Perhaps even helping her with training Felicia while they were there. She was still mad with her presence here, but there was nothing she could do but make the most of it.

Getting back on the task at hand, she swiftly engaged a squadron of enemy fighters. Launching a flurry of blast, she effortlessly reduces their numbers by half. "Good going', Jenny." Krystal voice says all of a sudden, taking Jenny for surprise. Noting that the radio was currently off, she realized that she must be using telepathy, so following suit she replied, "Thanks. I try." She said mentally as she pulled a loop, getting an enemy fighter off her tail, and totaling it with laser fire. "I'm glad to see you have grown accustomed to the controls so soon." Krystal told her as she views the display from her spot on the deck. "It's all thanks to your help, Krystal!" Jenny replied before contacting the bridge through the radio. Peppy, just finished up with this batch. Tell me, are the others alright!"

"Everything seems to be clear so far Jenny! Keep up the good job." Said Peppy, not far away from where Krystal was sitting. At the mention of the others, she checked her console, eagerly waiting for a transmission from someone one the ground assault. "Be careful in there, Fox. Oh God please be careful…" she thought over and over in her mind as she stared at her console. "I'm sure he is fine! I'll make sure to give him cover; don't you worry about that!" Jenny mentally tells her as she painted fighter after fighter coming from the battleships. "Thank you, Jenny. You're a good friend." Krystal responded softly, still wondering just what Fox was up to.

Fox rammed in another 50-rd. magazine into his AR and climbed the stairs, placed the gun at his hip and started blasting troops down. He got to the top of the stairs and rolled his eyes as he saw there were still eight targets on the radar display.

"Slippy, I need you to-AHH!" Fox said as a nearby explosion threw him to the floor. He shook his head as he got up and dove behind a crate. Fox pulled a grenade out of his pouch, stood up, and hurled it at a machine that was, just a few moments before, unloading crates, but had shot a wave of missiles at him. The grenade exploded, and it took a few infantrymen with it.

"Listen up, you scum. We protect the hideout to the end." Someone said as Fox again dove behind the crate as it was painted with laser raised his AR over the crate and fired blindly into the crowd, taking out most of the troops. The remaining ones retreated, but Fox shot them before they got far.

He glanced at his radar to see if a transfer device was nearby on this level. Fox neared the contact and saw the transfer device in a corner. Fox wasted the infantry surrounding it and fired his AR at it, wasting the transfer device, and emptying the clip.

Fox dropped it, rammed another one in, and racked the bolt back as he looked down at the bottom of the hideout, only to see a transfer device he had missed. Fox withdrew the sniper rifle, flicked off the safety, and kneeled to get a better shooting position. Just as Fox was going to pull the trigger, he heard a 'click' behind him.

Fox dropped the sniper rifle and turned around to see an ape soldier holding a pistol to his head. Fox kicked the pistol out of his hand into the air and jumped up to grab it. Fox landed and knocked the ape down with a low swipe. The ape fell back, unconscious, and came to rest on the floor.

Fox picked up the sniper rifle and kneeled, squeezed the trigger and winced at the recoil the sniper rifle had. Fox had hit the transfer device and he stood up, slung the sniper over his back, and rubbed his shoulder.

"Wow" he thought as he withdrew his AR, just before he looked up to see several consecutive explosions. "Slippy! Was that you!" he said into his wrist comm. "Yeah, Fox! Scratch three devices." Slippy said.

"Good. Three left." Fox said as he climbed another stairwell and saw Slippy, who waved his own AR at Fox, feeling proud of himself. "Good going Slippy!" he said as he patted his friend on the back. "You can say that again! They may be nothing but thugs, but they're well trained! These fellas may be more dangerous than Oikonny's army." Peppy congratulates them over the comms.

"You kinda have to admire 'em, huh, Fox?" Slippy retorts at Fox. "Whose side are you on, Slippy?" Fox replies in amusement. "I'm just saying they did well with all these outdated machines." Slippy says with a smug look on his face. "A lot better than your place, Slippy." Falco adds through the comms, not wanting to be left out of the fun.

"These guys mean business." he tells them as he narrowly evades some more gunfire. "It's to be expected. We're the invaders, after all." Peppy reminds them wisely. "Heh! I've got more in common with those guys." Falco mentions, reminiscing on his past.

Also reminiscing on the past, Slippy adds, "It's been a long time since we've seen Pigma and Oikonny. No one's changed at all.", as he things of all their previous encounters with their all foes. "You're the one who hasn't changed at all, Slippy." Peppy mentions jokingly, he too reminiscing on the old days. "Is that so? Well, just wait and see." Slippy said as he pulled a small remote-like object from his yellow jumpsuit.

"What the…" Fox began to say as Slippy pressed the button, causing an explosion a few levels below them. Fox cocked a brow, "Nice, and here I thought Dead-Eye was the explosives expert." He said before realizing something. "Speaking of Dead-Eye, have any idea where he is?" he asked with concern.

"Last I heard he was on another level. Try looking for some kind of elevator." Slippy said. "All right." Fox said as he ran up the nearest staircase.

Fox got to the top, anting heavily as his adrenalin rush began to leave him. He put in a new clip in his AR and glanced around, this level was different.

It was one long walkway that went around the walls of the facility, making an O shape, with four doors, two on each side opposite each other. Fox ran for one of those doors, but right as he started, he heard a 'whizz' on the ground behind him courtesy of a missed laser blast. Whirling around to see it, he was met by three gun turrets, each manned by their own ruffian, blazing away at Fox.

While constantly moving, Fox took out his sniper rifle and sighed at each target. He fired three carefully aimed shots, and the turrets fell silent. Fox looked over the edge as he ran and his stomach dropped, he was a lot higher than he thought he was.

Fox got to the open door and stopped, quickly turning his head around the corner, then pulling it back as quickly as he could.

"Shit!" he though distressed, there were thirty troops, along with six-gun turrets along with five of the missile robots in that hallway, waiting for him. Fox checked his ammo pouches; he had no grenades left.

Looking around for anything he could use his attention is caught by a small 'clink' sound. Looking towards the hallway, he sees a small object rolling towards the enemy. He heard yells as the troops tried to make a run for it, then…

"BOOM"

Fox peeked his head back around, before him lay the lifeless form of the infantry and the smoking remains of the robots, all their circuits fried by the blast. Walking through the wreckage was the familiar form of a four-armed duck, a large smirk across his billed mouth.

"Took long enough, matey!" Dead-Eye says as he greets Fox. "Dead-Eyes! Aren't you a sight for sore eyes! Good to see you're doing alright!" Fox responds, gesturing towards the bodies around them.

"These guys! No problem at all!" the duck proudly boasts. "But know I can't figure were in tarnation to go!" he explains with slight irritation as he looks around the room. "We're working on that! Good news is that we're almost finish with the transfer devices, we just need to find the final ones." Fox assures him as he taps on his communicator.

"Slippy, you read! I've found Dead-Eye, still no sign of the elevator! Any luck on your end?" Fox informs and ask Slippy, eager for a response. "Great to hear, Fox! Nothing on my end yet, try searching further up the hallway." Slippy recommends them, the two nodding and going on their way. Fox and Dead-Eye ran towards the door at the end of the hallway, unfortunately it led them back to where Fox had begun, a long O-shaped walkway. The two walked around slowly, not knowing what to expect, then felt a sudden jolt beneath them.

"Umm…Slippy. I think we found the elevator." Fox said as they ascended into a new area of the hideout. Dead-Eye shouldered one of his cannons as the elevator reached the top, but there were no troops to be seen. Fox cocked a brow as he slowly lowered his rifle and walked inside.

"Slippy, I don't see…" Fox began to say before he heard a noise behind him. "Dead-Eye!" he cried as he saw his companion knocked out on the floor. "Slippy, come in! I don't think were alo…" he began before a sharp blow hit the back of his head. Everything was blurry and spinning, then the metal floor of the Sargasso hideout rushed up to meet him as he fell.

When Fox awoke, his arms and legs were bound to a chair, his head was throbbing painfully, another form laid behind him. Guessing the figure to be Dead-Eye in a similar situation as him, he desperately looked around the room, only to find a large purple scaled gator leisurely standing before him, cleaning his own assault riffle with a wicked grin on his face. Looking over himself Fox noticed that all his gear was missing, all of it having been piled up beside the grinding reptile.

"Fox!" Slippy's voice suddenly yelled through the comm. "Do you read me F…" Slippy said, but the mysterious gator had it in his hand, smiling as he smashed it on the ground with the stock of his AR.

"How…the hell did I get into this…?" Fox thought. Satisfied with his job, the gator slung his AR over his back and walked towards Fox. "You seem familiar…have we met?" he asked, Fox said nothing.

"Not much of a talker, huh? Doesn't matter, I'm more interested on your friend here!" he said, casually hitting Fox in the face with the stock of his AR. Walking over to Dead-Eye, he stared down the angry waterfowl with glee, "Dead-Eye Duck! Long time no see you old mallard! Huh, well isn't this unexpected. Worlds apart, yet here we are, face to face again!" he says with malice glee.

"Al-Negator, you good for nothing sleazasaur! I should have known you'd be in a place like this!" spat Dead-Eye with visceral distaste. "Soo, decided to ditch your toad cronies or are they here too?" he asks irritable as he spits in his direction.

"Hah, good to see you too!" Al says as he hits him in the head as well. "If you must know, my contract with the toads is not yet finished, but I decided to branch out a little bit while I'm here!" he explains while returning to his seat. "You know how it is, never let an opportunity pass, especially when it pays!" he exclaims while showing them some credits.

"Guessing he's one of yours?" Fox whispers to Dead-Eye, having been paying attention to the conversation. "Yeah, Al Negator! A good spy and mercenary working for the toads, and a huge pain in the behind!" canard told him with distaste in his voice.

"One time, he infiltrated the Righteous Indignation as an engineer to replace our lost buddy Bruce, he had accessed the ship's computer to get the codes that would disable the Genus defense system. We were sure they would be delivered to the toads, but luckily "money means everything to his ilk", which bought us some time. Willy managed to trick him into giving him the codes back, not that it did any good. The sleaze ball over there made a copy for the toads and has been a pain for the lot of us ever since. Always just one step ahead!" Dead-Eye harshly whispered back, letting Fox in on just how much of a threat he was.

"Thank you very kindly, I do so love hearing folks talk about my exploits! But flattery will get you nowhere I'm afraid!" Al retorted with a sharp grin, looking at them as he continued working on his rifle.

"So, you're a mercenary! Who's paying the bills now then? Who hired you!" Fox demanded, turning his attention back to the sleazasaur. Looking back at Fox, Al smiled before responding, "Why, the top boss of course! Lord O'Donnell himself, I only take jobs from the best! Wanted me to keep an eye on things here while they were out, even offered me a spot on his squad once I'm done here!" he said proudly.

Slowly getting up from his seat, he walked up to Fox and said, "And I don't think he'll appreciate what you lot been doing with his station! So, I ask you again, who are you!" he yelled as he hit Fox in the face again.

Fox let his head hang over to one side for a moment, then brought it back upright, staring down at the ground. He broke out into a sweat, mainly from the pain of the blast, but also from the anger that had erupted inside him towards Al. He could taste blood in his mouth and felt a thin line flow down from where the merc had struck him.

He could see Al rearing back his rifle for another hit, yet Fox said nothing. Wincing at the sudden pain that the rifle stock had to offer, Fox put all his effort on a single thought, "Krystal, I hope you can hear this…I'm in some serious trouble just now."

Back on the bridge of the Great Fox Krystal gasped, "Oh God.", she said all of a sudden. "What? What is it dear?" Peppy asked in a worry as he rushed over to her. "Fox…Fox is in trouble! I must go help him!" she cried as she struggled to make it to the door. "Woah, hold it there! We can't just rush out there, it's a battlefield!" Peppy reminds her as he tries to calm her down.

"I know, but… WE CAN'T JUST DO NOTHING!" she cried out in distress. "I'll go!" came Jenny's voice through the comms. "What?" Krystal asked in disbelief. "I'll go. Falco and Bucky can take care of the battleships for me while I head towards the station by myself," she exclaimed with confidence, an air of professionalism over her voice.

"But Jenny! You can't just …" Krystal began to say before a message came to her mind, "Now's not the time! I can handle this; just trust me!" Jenny mentally yelled. Krystal said nothing. "Do it!" cried out Bucky through the comms, breaking the silence.

Heeding her captain, Jenny threw her Arwing into a kick spin and pointed the nose straight at the facility entrance. Parking her ship in the docking bay, she picked up a spare blaster as the canopy opened and headed on her way. "Come on, Fox! I'm in the building. Where are you!" she thought, fearing for the worst…his mind patterns had begun to fade since he had sent the message and time was not on her side.

Fox winced as Al hit him, yet again, with the rifle stock, "Not planning to talk, are you…?" he asked mockingly. "Leave him alone you oversized handbag!" cried out Dead-Eye in rage. "Don't you worry, you old coot! I'll get to you soon enough!" Al says to him, casually hitting him on the bill as he passes him by.

"You won't be so confident when the rest of me crew come by!" the ex-pirate told him with a glare. "Oh, I'm counting on it, but what I want to know is why Bucky O'Hare would waste his time helping some nobody!" he retorts, returning the glare while showing his teeth. Dead-Eye returns the grimace, ready to fight back regardless of the restraints.

"Fox McCloud." Fox suddenly answered weakly. Pausing with recognition Al replied, "Oh…The famous Fox McCloud." he said in a sarcastic tone as he laughed loudly. Fox looked at him with utter hate with the one good eye he had left, the other haven bruised up due to the numerous impacts of the rifle stock against his face.

"Now, Fox McCloud. What are you doing here?" the sleazasaur asked, nearing Fox. He put his face unbearably close to Fox's in an attempt to intimidate him, so close that Fox could feel, and smell, his putrid, alcohol-stained breath hit his face. "Looking…for Pigma Dengar." Fox said wearily.

The merc nodded, almost in understanding, before skeptically saying, "Sure you are…" in a sarcastic tone, not believing what Fox had said. He was enjoying this little interrogation too much to let it end so soon, enjoying it so much that he failed to notice that one of Dead-Eye's bindings had gone loose. And opportunity the old pirate was soon to capitalize on!

Aboard the bridge of the Great Fox, Krystal was still worriedly passing about the place. She had not heard anything from either Jenny or Fox, and the suspense was getting to her. She should have been out there, either on the ground or in the battle before her, out there she could DO something, but here she felt useless!

Unable to handle it any longer, she hastily excused herself and made her way outside the bridge! She needed to think, she needed to do something other than watch from afar, she just didn't know what!

So caught up was she on her thoughts, that she failed to notice someone walking her way until they had knocked into each other.

"Woah! Sorry, sorry!" she apologized profusely. Looking in front of her, she is met with a familiar set of green eyes, blonde hair, red lips, light brown fur, and dark brown eyelashes. "Oh, It's all right! Should have been paying attention for nervous wrecks!" replied Captain Mimi LaFloo sarcastically.

Krystal had not spent much time with the other vixen, she had mostly kept to her crew during her stay, but she was fairly sure she didn't care for her. In her short time knowing her, Captain LaFloo had proven to be opinionated, forceful, and shamelessly flirtatious.

"Yes, well, it is hard to pay attention when your teammates are in trouble, and you can't do anything but sit on the sidelines!" Krystal responded harshly, not in the mood to deal with her. Mimi, for her part, could relate to the blue vixen before her, she too could not stand sitting idly by while injustice occurred, she would rather face trouble head-on than wait.

But she knew all too well that sometimes you had no choice but to wait, though that did not mean you could just do nothing! "So, what are you doing standing here for? Though I do understand being so distracted by that handsome leader of yours!" she tells her, adding a little flirtation to lighten the mood.

Krystal just looked at her with disdain, before dropping it with a sigh as she looked down defeated. Mimi looks at her for a while, she softens her expression before walking over to her in concern. "Hey, tell me what exactly is going on?" she asks sincerely pacing a hand on her shoulder.

Looking over to her, and sensing the genuine sympathy in her mind, Krystal responds, "Fox has been captured, I wanted to go help him but there wasn't any way to do it safely. So, Jenny volunteered to go after him herself! Leaving me with nothing but concern." She explains anxiety, "It's not like I don't trust her, but… we have no idea what she's getting into! What if she can't do it on her own!" she exclaims in exasperation.

Mimi just begins to chuckle, "It's that all! You worry about your boyfriend!" she says relieved, "And here I thought it was something serious!" she mentions. Caught off-guard, Krystal blushes slightly before rapidly saying, "It's not like that! We're… He's not my…I mean, we aren't exactly like that, not yet. And it is serious, you just would understand!" she exclaims with indignation.

"Is that so, huh? It's not easy being into guys like that! Courageous, daring, always rushing into danger, always inspiring others, giving them hope while putting it all on the line!" Mimi said her eyes gradually shining in adoration. "Oh, I understand you perfectly my dear. The worry that they might not make it, that it might be their last one, all while you are helpless to do anything about it!" she says with confidence, "Oh, I know that feeling well, but I also know that even when I can't be there to help out, there will be others to do it in my stead. Because people like that always have someone willing to help them out! And if there is anyone that I could count on to get that job done, it would be Jenny." she assures her confidently.

"She and I might not always get along, but I can assure you that you will never find someone as stubborn, as driven, or as competent as her! She will get them out of there, you can count on that!" she says, with nothing but begrudging respect for her voice. "But she's going to need as much help as she can, so get your head on straight and march right on to that bridge and you make sure she gets the job done, no matter what!" she commands authoritatively, yet the caring nature of her words still came through.

"Your right! I won't do anyone any good like this. So, I might as well make myself useful in whatever way I can! Thank you, Captain LaFloo!" Krystal responds with a salute, before turning around and heading for the bridge. "Good luck with Captain O'Hare!" she called out as she made her way further down the ship. Caught off-guard herself, Mimi just smirked and laughed as she saw her go, "Guess that's what I get for teasing her!... You better be able to do this, Jenny." she thought, looking out the nearest window at the battle outside.

"Topmost…facility…elevator…" was all Jenny could read out of Fox's last noticeable mind pattern. She thanked the Artificers for her telepathy as she set off in a run towards the staircase. "Jenny?" came Slippy's voice as she reached the next level, not wasting any time he asked, "What are you doing here? Do you know where Fox is?!"

Catching her breath, she quickly replied, "I…don't…know… All I got is that he's in the highest part of the facility. That's all I know." She told him sincerely. Nodding in understanding, Slippy reached back to grab something, "You're gonna need this." He said as he tossed her his assault rifle.

Jenny caught it, not sure how to feel about it, then tossed Slippy her blaster, "You gonna be all right?" she asked with concern, debating if she should give back the rifle.

"Don't you worry about me, just make it to the others in time! If you manage to get this far on your own, I'm sure you can do this!" he told her with confidence, taking her for a loop. She wasn't used to such actions from a toad, but she was glad she had an ally in this place. "Thank you, I'll get them out of there! I promise," she tells him with a smile, which he happily returns.

"Last I heard from them was from that elevator," Slippy said, pointing towards it. Jenny nodded and ran towards the elevator, checking the gauge on the side of the AR, noted that only 50 rds remained, and readied her power for the battle ahead as she reached the top.

Fox could hear faint laser blasts outside the door, Al turning towards it with a look of fear on his face. "What the…" he said in surprise.

Fox laughed, "You are so screwed…" he says mockingly, Al grabbed the fur on his head and pulled back on it. "You're not alone? Who else is white you?!" he yelled menacingly. Fox merely reared back and spit on his face, "More…than you can…handle." He said weakly.

Al just glared at him and gave him another hit with the rifle stock, nearly knocking him out cold. "Is that so, then I'll just have to kill two birds with one stone," he said as he lined up his rifle with them, smirking as he readied to pull the trigger.

But before he could fire, Dead-Eye busted from his restraints and launched himself at him. Haven used the skills from his time as a pirate, he had managed to undo one of his arm restraints and waited for the perfect moment to attack. "Not so fast!" he yelled as he grappled the gun from his hands. Unable to get him to drop it, he instead knocks him in the face with it, causing the sleazasaur to fall.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, he breaks his remaining restraints and makes his way over to Fox. "You alright there, matey!" he says as he quickly tries to undo his bindings. But before he could finish, Al quickly knocked them both out with a tail slam.

Looking at his handiwork, Al made his way to his rifle and picked it up. "I'll deal with you both later!" he said with a grunt, making just to hit them as he walked by. "First, I have to deal with your friend 'till the boss gets back," he said as he walked towards the door and hit the open switch. "Whatever's out there picked the wrong day to cross me!" he thought as he walked out.

Receiving that thought, Krystal hid behind a box as she shot the last of the guards in the hallway. She heard the door slide open and footsteps following. Checking her AR, she saw that she was spent, dropping to her side she instead channeled her powers towards her hands and prepared to fire.

Standing up, she rapidly fired a volley of psionic blasts towards the door. Caught off guard, Al Negator flew back towards the room, landing hard against the opposing wall. Jenny walked in, only to briefly stop as she said exactly who she had hit.

"Al Negator! I should have expected to find you in a place like this!" she spat in anger towards the criminal. Whipping his snout, he slowly rose to his feet with a grin "Well, well, well! If it isn't First Mate Jenny, a little far from home aren't ya sweetheart!" he said mockingly as he fired his rifle at her.

Using her feline reflexes, Jenny expertly dodges the blasts and low kicks the gator off his feet. She then quickly high kicks him in the jaw before pinning him against the wall with her claws out. Glaring at him, she gives him a small smirk before putting him to sleep with her powers.

Stumbling back with exhaustion, she breathed heavily before turning towards the slumped shapes of her friends in the corner of the room. "Oh, dear sisters… Dead-Eye, Fox!" she called out as she ran towards them. Checking for a pulse, she gently helped them back to their feet, both teetering from side to side as they tried to keep their balance.

"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes, lass!" Dead-Eye exclaimed first as he saw her. Fox was a bit slower on the uptake, "Jenny? Didn't think they'd send you, but boy I'm glad they did!" he said as he smiled weakly. A smile, she returned as she looked with concern at her battered friends.

They were a mess; black eyes, cuts, and bruises all over their bodies, and some light bleeding from Fox's forehead. Jenny rubbed his forehead wearily, "Are you alright! Is anything broken?" she asked softly as she expected them carefully.

"Just some scrapes, nothing to worry about. I've had worst, trust me!" Fox said confidently. Turning over to her gunner, she found him eagerly going through the weapons by the wall, noticing she was looking he responded, "You know I'll take more than that to take me out, lassie!" he tells her with a smile.

Sighing in relief, she said "Well, I'm glad to hear that, boys! I was beginning to worry I was too late." she started to say before the faint sound of gunshots fell into her ears.

"Looks like we'll have to cut the reunion short!" she said as she tossed Fox one of the rifles. "Agreed!" Fox said as he gave the bolt a good pull back, chambering a fresh cartridge.

"Well, Jenny, I must say you're one heck of a navigator! But also, a glutton for punishment!" Fox said as he witnessed her handiwork outside the room. "Comes with the line of work." She says with a smirk. "Heck yeah, it does!" Fox replied with a smirk of his own.

"If you two done admiring your work, what say we get that last transfer device?" Dead-Eye said with a smirk. "I'll take point!" Fox said eagerly as he picked up one of the pistols lying on the ground with a smile. Dead-Eye picked up his gear pack and strapped it on, nodding in confirmation.

"All right, this is what we're here for. Give us some cover, Jenny!" he said shouldering his rifle as the three rushed off towards the hallway.

Author's Note:
