Recap...
He greets the guards, one motioning for the man to follow him. And he does, not much of a surprise. Leading him towards the ship.
"What are you up to, Teach? Talking with a guy clearly in buisness with slaves." She murmurs, closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath.
Shaking her head, she spars the beach one last look before turning and heading off. Her new destination, the west side of the island.
Sakura sets out towards the west side of the island, her new destination, finding Teach and figuring out what the hell that bastard's been up to.
As the sky grows dark, Sakura keeps an eyes peeled for a good spot to rest and finish healing up her injuries. It would be pointless to release her seal and waste her stored up chakra on something as simple as a bullet wound. Despite the tedious process it would be to take said bullet out of her gut.
Groaning in mild discomfort, Sakura slings her bag over her shoulder and onto the ground beside a rather large tree stump. Letting her head fall back, her hands hover over her stomach, diagnostic chakra running its course.
It wasn't the worst. She could probably heal her skin around the object and be fine for a moment. And have Marco take it out surgically on the ship.
The skin around the wound stitches closed, incasing the bullet in her body for the time being. Shuffling around, Sakura falls into a moment of silence. Eyes closed, breathing deeply to try and calm her racing heart. Everything just seemed to get more and more complicated. And sadly, she didn't have someone (Naruto) here to cheer her up or find the bright side of the whole thing.
The knucklehead had a way of making the worst of situations into something akin to fun.
Best to find some sleep, and continue towards the west in the morning. Hopefully Teach was there, she could t even tell if he's left the island or not.
She heads back towards the town she originally came through, deciding to take the route that took her through it rather than around. Perhaps she could even stock up on some food and water if anyone was-
A scream pierced through the air, and Sakura came to a halt just a little ways outside the gate.
Blinking back her momentary surprise, she bolts through the gate and down the road. Eyes searching for whatever caused such a scream. A few townsfolk scurried back into their homes, while others also seemed to migrate towards the commotion.
The smell of smoke hit her hard, and her eyes found the burning house first. Her chakra surged, and luckily enough it seemed nobody was inside, havinf either been empty when it started or whoever was had escaped. Breathing a sigh of relief, Sakura turned to where the crowd was circled around something.
Eyes narrowed, she pushes her way forward. Not bothering to apologize as she comes to the scene awaiting her.
Her rage flares as Kelio's body hits the floor with a hard thump. Neck mangled and purple, with blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth. His whitebeard tattoo on display for the crowd. And the culprit?
Fucking Teach.
"Zahahah!" The man laughs, his voice causing a shiver to run down her spine.
"Teach!" She yells, making herself known. A few heads turn towards her, and it seems her appearance made the larger man pause, before his grin turned towards her.
"Well if it isn't my favorite doctor!" Teach mocks, leg kicking up to nudge Kelio's body out of the way.
"He was right? You backstabbed our crew- Captain's crew and for what?" She motioned to her now dead crewmate. Taking a step forward into the large circle.
"My motives shouldn't concern you! Zhahaa. This was long planned in the making!" His grin never faultered.
"I should kill you for what you did." She sneers, fists forming.
It would be easy, to wrap her fingers ontop of his head and squeeze. Crack his skull open, and let him bleed to death. Break his legs one by one, listen to him-
'Shit.' Sakura thinks, shaking those thoughts from her mind.
But he deserved to die. Whitebeard had been nothing but kind to her, allowed her a place in his crew while she figured out her situation. And someone, teach, who was from his crew much longer than her, was betraying him. The gull of this man! To not appreciate what was directly in front of him.
Teach doesn't seem all that scared of her words. "You kill me, my men will infiltrate the ship-" he pauses, eyes widening with glee.
"And don't think they don't know the ins and outs of it either. I've already told them. Zhahaha!" He bellows, and Sakura grits her teeth.
"They'll slaughter that boy first, Ace was his name right? Then the commanders next, don't think I don't know their little schedules. When they're the most vulnerable.." he coos in a taunting manner.
"You.. fucking prick." She seethes.
"Say you don't kill me, instead you wanna go run off to snitch on Whitebeard. Who do you think the man will believe..?" He pauses.
"You, a woman who fell from the fucking sky. Or me, someone whose been with him for years?"
"I'm glad we could come to an understanding." Teach whispers into her ear, hand placed uncomfortably on her shoulder.
Yanking herself away, she ignores the guilt eating at her. Taking in a breath, and pulling out the den den.
"Haruta, the commander of the twelfth division speaking!"
Glarinf up at Teach, Sakura does her best to compose herself. "Hey, found Teach. All is good." She says through forced lips.
"You have!?That's wonderful news! I'll go tell Oyaji, and you'll make your way in back okay?"
Sakura bites her tongue. "Yeah, we will."
"Is Teach there with you? Can I talk to him?"
Teach grins down at her, hand opening. Sighing, she hands the device over. Haruta erupts in conversation quickly, asking how he was and such. Sakura watches from the sides, watches as he talks like nothing was wrong. Like he hadn't murdered his crew mates.
Spinning around, Sakura grabs her own bag.
His words still ringing in her mind. Whitebeard would believe him more than he would her, it made sense. She was a stranger from another world despite taking his mark.
So spilling right when she got aboard would be stupid. She needed evidence. Something to prove the bastard guilty.
'or I could kill him medically..' she thought.
Her heart hurt at the mere suggestion of it. Tsunade despised killing people with medical techniques. Minus the chakra scapel of course. She had ingrained that mindset into her as well.
No, that would be the last ditch effort. If he did something worse.. like kill Ace or one of the commanders like he threatened. Movement catches her attention, right as Teach goes to place the den den back into her bag. Her body tenses, but he moves away afterwards.
"I got a boat off to the north, it'll fit you as well." Teach grins, nodding his head in that direction.
She narrows her eyes, but swallows her tongue and agrees with a sharp nod of her head. "Fine."
