Recap...

He nods slowly, looking back down. "And uh, id like to talk with you, later. If that's alright?" He asks.

Sakura tilts her head, but agrees. "Of course." He grins in reply, looking relieved. Before heading towards the food. Thatch greets him happily. And everyone watches in horror as he piles food onto his plate. More, and more. Sakura stares bewildered.

Before she looks at the kid in horror. If this was his normal portion.. did that mean he's been starving this whole entire time?!

Sakura leaned over the edge of the ship, staring at the setting sun. All that was in front of her, water. It was still such an unusual sight, one she was growing used to by the day.

The sound of approaching footsteps drew her from her thoughts, glancing to the side as someone leaned against the railing beside her. Sakura stared at Ace for a moment, before turning her attention back to the ocean.

"Can we talk?" Ace spoke.

She paused, pushing herself away from the railing. Turning towards the teen. "Yes." She answered.

Ace glanced around, before motioning up above himself. "Somewhere more private?" He murmurs. Sakura turns her head to the crowsnest. Or one of them. Before nodding.

She stays silent as the two of them walk side by side to the pole. Sakura watches as he makes his ascent. Before circling chakra to her feet and climbing along side him. Sighing softly at the breeze that combs through her hair.

Ace watches her in mild wonder, as she passes him. Eventually pulling herself up to the top. Staring at the sky turns dark. Ace soon follows up, hauling himself up and over. Using his hands to push himself up. Sakura stares at him, eyes trailing over his face as he collects himself. Waiting for him to speak.

"You were right. Marco was right. Thatch was right." Ace begins, and she raises a brow at that.

"Of course I was right." She teases, but the glare from him shuts her up. Raising her hands in surrender.

"I.. have a secret. One that I've only told Oyaji. One that could get me sentenced to death." Ace says after a moment of silence.

Sakura raises her brows in surprise.

Ace is quiet after that. Like he's fighting his own internal battle. But Sakura's patient. Allowing the fire user to collect his thoughts, his words.

"On my wanted poster, I go by my mothers name. Portgas D. Ace." He starts.

"My father.. or we'll. My name, is.. Gol D. Ace. After my fat- father, Gol D. Roger." Ace says, letting out a breath. His eyes are wide, vulnerable. His body is tense, and he looks like a second away from bolting.

Sakura merely tilts her head. "Gol D. Roger? Is that name supposed to have meaning?" She asks.

Ace blinks.

"You don't know?" He asks, suspiciously.

"Don't know what?" She tries to clarify.

Ace throws his head back and laughs, gripping his thighs. But Sakura doesn't join him. Feeling a little left out of the loop. His laughter eventually dies down, staring at her bewildered.

"You really don't know." He whispers, before shaking his head.

"Gol D. Roger is a monster. The Pirate king. He was executed, leaving my mother to die alone after giving birth to me. Any child of his blood doesn't deserve to live." Ace says, throwing his hands around wildly.

Sakura raises a brow.

"And you're his child? Is that why you didn't want to join?" She asks, reaching her arm forward and placing it on his shoulder. He was only a bit taller than her, then again he was still a teen. She was sure he'd grow to be tall just like everyone else.

"Oyaji, Whitebeard. The two of them back in the day, used to be rivals. I figured if he knew.. he'd kill me. But he didn't, he accepted me." Ace says, tilting her head down slightly.

"I wanted to kill him. To prove that I am better than, him. Gol D. Roger." Ace whispers.

Sakura stares for a moment, before reaching forward and wrapping my arms around him. Ace tenses, but his arms wrap around her. The two of them stand there for a moment, in each others embrace. Before Sakura pulls back.

"I don't care who your father is." She begins.

Ace shakes his head like he cannot believe her words. But before he can start, she raises her hand.

"I think, since you trusted me so much with your secret, I can with mine." She grins. And he tilts his head curiously.

"I'm not from this world. I fell onto this ship from the sky. My world, there are no pirates. No vast seas. My world is full of Shinobi and Kunoichi. Villages. Chakra. Where I come from, everything I do most people can as well." She says. And Ace looks at her with wide eyes. Mouth opening then closing.

"It's why I didnt recognize your last name. Only the commanders and Whitebeard know. And I'm waiting for my friends and family to find a way to bring me home." Sakura finishes.

Ace shakes his head. "A different world completely?"

Sakura nods. "Yes."

the teen laughs. "Well, the grandline is full of mystery's. I can't say it doesn't sound impossible. But if Marco.. Oyaji.. the rest believe you. Then you must be telling the truth." Ace murmurs thoughtfully.

"I can still sense some doubt. Tonight, I planned on summoning my.. friend of a sorts. Would you join me?" She smiles. Ace looks surprised, but quickly schools his expression.

"sure.. sounds intresting." He shrugs.

"Good, I'm still in the second division commanders room, until I am moved. Meet me there?" Sakura moves towards the edge. Circling her chakra, she waits until she receives a nod from the boy before walking over and down the edge. Until she reaches the deck. Looking around before heading towards the dining hall.

A knock on her door causes Sakura to blink awake, sitting up in her bed, turning her head towards the door.

She stands from her bed, walking towards the door and pulling it open. Ace stands there, with a piece of bread stuffed in his mouth. He bites and swallows the whole thing, before grinning as she lets him inside.

Sakura closes the door, locking it behind her just in case. Before following him into the room. He looks at her for guidance, and she points to the center of the room. The two of them sit down comfortably, and she waits for Ace to look at her.

She runs through the hand signs, brings her hand up to bite her thumb before slamming it down on the floor. Smoke erupts, and Katsuyu appears.

"Sakura! It has been awhile." Katsuyu muses, moving closer to her.

Sakura smiles, nodding her head. "So it has. Before I ask, this is Portgas D. Ace. Someone Ive befriended here." She motions to the teen, who sits wide eyed.

Katsuyu turns her body around, facing Ace. "A pleasure, Ace-san." She tilts her head in greeting.

Ace blinks, looking up at Sakura than back down to Katsuyu. "It's nice to meet you as well." He murmurs, Katsuyu turns back to face Sakura. And the pinkette sighs.

"How is Naruto, Ino? Has Sasuke-kun given any word as to when he'll be back?" She begins, leaning down.

"What of Kakashi-sensei? Tsunande?" She continues, looking a little hopeless. Katsuyu nods her head.

"Naruto-san is fine, searching for clues. As is Ino-san. But there isn't much they can do with the Uchiha-san's rinnegan. And his last few letters have been vague of his return." Katsuyu replies solemnly.

Sakura's face beams at the mention of her friends, but frowns at the news on Sasuke.

"Tsunade-hime is drinking, more and more. I worry for her. Luckily she has Shizune taking over your position at the hospital." Katsuyu says.

Sakura shakes her head at her words. She should have known Tsunade would go down a rabbit hole. Hopefully someone would manage to dig her back out. Hopefully Naruto, maybe Shizune.

"Hokage-sama is working diligently, researching in his free time." Katsuyu murmurs. Sakura rolls her eyes.

Kakashi-sensei reasearching? That's something she hasn't seen in quite some time. Her eyes trail from Katsuyu to Ace, whose been mostly quiet during the whole ordeal.

"thank you, Katsuyu. I'm sure this is hard on you, I can already feel my chakra draining. Tell them I said hello." Sakura says. Katsuyu nods her head, before disappearing in a poof of smoke. Leaving the two of them sitting alone in her room.

Sakura turns to Ace. "So?"

"Well it's believable. You can summon a slug?" Ace asks, leaning forward.

She laughs. "Yes, Katsuyu can heal as well as spit acid. Not the best for fighting, but can heal quickly on the battle field." She murmurs, grinning.

Ace nods, looking lost for words. "Amazing. What else can you do?"

Sakura pauses, and thinks over her next few words. "I've kept it a secret, but as long as your promise not to.." she trails off.

Ace nods his head, looking serious. "I promise to keep your secret, like how you'll keep mine."

Sakura places her fingers together, dispelling her henge. Revealing her 100 healings mark. "This mark, stores up a lot of extra chakra. I've kept it hidden, so unwanted questions aren't asked." She points to it.

"The thing I used to hide it is called a henge. For example.." Sakura pushes herself up. Ace follows suit, watching her patiently.

She focus's on the teens appearance, closing her eyes. A gasp, as two hands reach and plop themselves on her shoulders. Sakura grins.

"You look like me." Ace whispers. Sakura glances down, looking at the naked torso. "I can also copy height as well, but it would use extra chakra." She shrugs, before releasing it and returning back to normal.

"amazing." His eyes flicker with something, and for a moment he looks to be thinking things through.

"What's that look for?" She questions her voice teasing.

"Imagine what you could do with that power! Turn into a marine, gathering information? Infiltrating ships? The possibilities are endless." Ace says.

Sakura blinks back some surprise. Before a thought goes off in her head, and she throws back her head to laugh. Hands resting on her hips.

"Why didn't I think of that sooner?" Sakura surmises.

Ace cocks his head. "What?"

"Thanks Ace, you just helped me greatly! It's almost dinner anyway, and I have to stop by the medical room real quick. See you later?" Sakura rushes out, waving the teen off and leaving her room with him standing there, clueless.

But this was perfect.

If she could get the crew to lose trust in Teach, the easier it will be to reveal his traitorous actions. All she would need to do, is act suspicious in his body. Nobody would know it was a henge. As long as she kept Ace out of the loop.

It was the perfect plan. And it would make her one step closer to getting rid of him.
