Recap..
With a quick thanks and a heavy sigh, the marines lead the two civilians out of his office.
Sengoku turns to his assistant. "I want information on a pink haired pirate apart of the Whitebeard's Crew. Name, where she came from, and then we'll start or add to an assisting bounty. Change it from Dead or Alive, to only Alive." He commands.
He watches his assistant nod, before leaving his office. Placing his head into his hands, Sengoku ponders over getting Garp involved. And if the old marine would even wish to be. Knowing their past with his son and all.
"Damn pirates."
A week had passed, and Ace was finally back from his week long mission. Not an injury in sight, thankfully and much to Marco's delight. Things returned to normal, Ace continued to cause havoc, less than usual but still quite a lot.
Her henge had gone perfect. Portraying herself as Teach, and walking around the ships deck. It was easy, taking transporter snails, mumbling to herself. Standing oddly in the dark corner as people talked, yet made it obvious to anyone that was paying attention.
Sakura had really only acted like Sasuke. Brooding in the corner. And it had paid off. Ino would have gotten a kick out of this. She thinks to herself.
Sakura wondered if she could start rumors. But this crew was tight as a family. Too close, and she'd hate to say the wrong thing and it get back to the man himself. Who still stared at her for a suspiciously long time. But patience. Is what she told herself.
Why rush things? Everything would come together. Slowly but surely, there would come a time where she could reveal everything. But that didn't mean the idea of slipping poison, or cutting off the flow of blood to his heart was any less appealing.
"New's coo is here!" Someone yells, Sakura walks across the deck. Peering at the many bundles of papers littering the deck. Marco reaches down and rolls one open.
Ace bounces over. "Wonder if my bounty went up." He mumbles, sneaking the paper from Marco's grasp. Who sighs, and grabs another.
"This is where they show bounty's?" Sakura wonders aloud, grabbing a paper for herself, and flipping through it. A few worn papers fall out, indeed bounties. Pirates she's never heard of. None looked to be from Whitebeard's crew.
"Yo Ace! Looks like you're went up a few thousand!" Thatch hollers. The teen throws his fists up into the air. Sakura ignores their cheerful shouting, and flips to the back.
"Shit Sakura." Haruta utters loudly.
Ace pauses his cheering, peering over the shorter man's shoulder. Whistling. Marco, Thatch, and a few others head over as well to peer at whatever the young commander was looking at.
"450,000,000 berri bounty." Marco raises his eyebrows impressed.
Sakura flips to the back of her own paper, where her bounty poster reveals itself. She grimaces at the photo. It was when she had taken down that marine vessel. A grin stretch upon her lips, with her fist raised. There wasn't a name, only 'The Pink Devil' which made her cringe internally.
"The pink devil? That seems a little much." She says. Marco shrugs his shoulders.
"If they don't know your name, they usually just come up with something." Izou speaks up. "They'll change it when your bounty increases. Along with the photo." Thatch adds in helpfully.
Sakura nods, pausing as she rereads her bounty. "Hey, Marco, Whitebeard?" She calls out, glancing between the two.
"Hm?" Whitebeard hums from where he is seated.
"What's it supposed to mean, when it only says 'alive' at the bottom?" She asks, turning the bounty around to show them. Marco chokes on his spit.
"Not even Oyaji has that." He murmurs quietly.
"Just means to collect your bounty, the marines want you alive. Wonder whose paying extra for that." Izou tilts his head. Sakura glances towards Haruta for a moment, who looks unsure, their eyes meeting.
"I wonder." She answers, before rolling up her bounty and putting it in her pocket for safe keeping. Everyone eventually looses intrest, dividing and going about truer own task- but Sakura makes her way to Haruta. Who stands off to the side.
"Do you think-" Sakura asks.
"It's a possibility. To be frank, if anyone saw you, the marines would pay them handsomely for any information. Even appearance wise." Haruta says.
Sakura winces. "Okay, I can work around that."
Haruta stares at her for a second longer. "Well, we have your back- remember that." He says. Before the two go their separate ways. Sakura finds her way to the second commanders room, and locking herself inside. Her chakra running soothingly to her head, to calm the raging headache from todays news.
Sabo makes his way through the hallway, towards Dragons office. The newspaper rolled up in his grasp, along with new bounty posters.
Sabo raises his free hand, and knocks three times. Waiting quietly until a short 'come in' sounds from the other side.
Pushing open the door, Sabo quickly spots Koala sitting down in one of the chairs, leaning back and smiling at him. He grins in return, before looking at Dragon. "Got new bounty's in." He says, and holds up the papers.
Dragon nods, and motions towards the empty seat. Sabo makes his way forward and sits down. Koala leaning forward to rest her elbows on the table.
"Koala also brought in some intresting news." Dragon starts, as Koala leans over and rummages through the bounty poster. Before pulling out one with a pink hair woman. Around the same age as the two of them.
"One of our spy's managed to catch some interesting news. This woman, killed a Celestial Dragon and his followers." Sabo let's his words sink in, as the air around them intensifies.
"The news was sent directly to Sengoku. Who put out a high bounty on her head. 450,000,00. But from the damage a few of my revolutionary's had reported back, means it was a well deserved amount." Dragon continues, leaning back into his seat.
Koala turns to him excitedly. "You should have seen the report. Their bodies were crushed, mounds of earth taken out probably from her bare hands. It was.. a work of art." Koala says.
Sabo raises an eyebrow at her words. "And why have you told me?" He asks.
"We want to keep an eye on her. Despite her being a pirate, we think she could be a good person to add to our cause." Dragon starts, and Koala reaches down to pull out a black transporter snail.
"We need you to infiltrate their ship, and place this in Commander Haruta's intelligence room. It connects to this-" Dragon pulls out another black snail.
"It's the best we can do, than risk sending in a spy of our own. But this has to be done quickly, and without notice." He finishes.
Sabo pauses. "Commander Haruta. As in, the Whitebeard pirate?" Sabo asks slowly. Koala nods, eyes twinkling.
"Should be easy work yeah? It's a start, but any information we can get through Haruta's network the better chance we'll have to keep an eye on her." Koala points to the bounty poster.
Sabo shrugs. "Alright, I can do that. When do you want me to leave?" He asks, turning to Dragon.
"Tomorrow, last we've seen of them is the North Blue. Start there." Dragon says. Before dismissing the two. Koala stands first, than Sabo. The two walking out of his office.
Koala nudges Sabo. "If you can get her name, the better. Just don't get caught, ya hear me?" Sabo nods, holding up his hands in surrender. The woman laughs, as they part to different hallways. Sabo heading towards his assigned room.
He should pack, then chart his route. He eyes the black snail Koala had given him, before sighing.
