I do not own any of the characters except for Arabella.

~Arabella's POV~

We all were sitting on the cafeteria and Jerry running towards us. "Guys, I got us the
opportunity of a 're gonna be rich!"

"For the last time, your mom's car has a leak. There's no oil under your house." Milton exclaimed

"No, I signed us up for the battle. Of the dance crews competition at the mall. Check it." Jerry corrected, showing us the flyer he was holding.

"Whoa, first prize wins $1000." Kim gaped.

"It's not just about the money." Jerry told us. "I've always loved dancing. You know, when I was a baby, my mom hung a disco ball over my crib."

"Did it ever fall on your head?" Jack laughed at his own joke.

"Did what ever fall on my head?" Jerry asked which stopped Jack's laughter.

I blinked and said, "Well, that's answered your question."

"Jerry, that sounds great, But we're not a dance crew." Eddie objected.

"I have the skills and I'll teach you the moves." Jerry promised. "And if we work hard, we
can win this together. Now what do you say?"

"I'm in." Jack agreed.

"Okay." I agreed.

"Absolutely." Kim nodded.

"Let's do it." Milton replied.

"Jerry, you got yourself a crew." Jack smiled, bro hugging Jerry.

"Wasabi?" Jerry asked. We stood up, placing our right hand in our left palm.

"Wasabi." We agreed before continuing lunch.

Don't you get all tough with me, I'm saying won't you come kick it with me? and we can have a ball, run up the wall, this is how we do, and no matter how much, I chop and punch, it's not as cool as kickin' it with you.

Here we go, let's start the party, chop it up like it's karate.

everybody, don't you get all tough with me, I'm saying won't you come kick it with me? and we can have a ball, run up the wall, this is how we do, and no matter how much I chop and punch, it's not as cool as kickin' it with you.

"Is this just me or these falafel balls
greasier than usual?" Jack asked picking up one and squeezing the grease out of it, as I give him a napkin which he grabbed and wrapped away the grease. We were sitting at Falafel's Phil's with Jerry for lunch.

"No, that looks about right." Jerry disagreed. "Yo, check it out. That's Dan Brennan. He's the best dancer at our school. They call him smooth."

"Because he's got great dance moves?" Jack asked.

"And his skin's crazy soft." Jerry said, looking at the boy. "Yo, we're talking velvet."

"Uggh, he is so annoying, he keeps asking me out, and can't take no for an answer." I grumbled. As Smooth walked to our table making me grunted.

"Hey, Jerry. Arabella." He said then flirted at me. I move my head away from him and rolling my eyes. Smooth looked at Jack.

"Jack." Jack introduced.

"Eh." Smooth murmured. "I heard you for the dance contest. You know my crew, 'the Stepbrothers', win every year.

"Yeah, I know. Just cause you win every year, It doesn't mean other people shouldn't try." Jerry replied.

"Yeah, it kind of does." Smooth laughed.

"See, I suggest you leave the dancing to us. And stay in your little karate club."

"You know, we're not just a karate club. We also offer free with bad nicknames. You should come by and see us, smooth." Jack teased. I high-five him.

"You guys are just gonna embarrass yourselves." Smooth assured. " You might have some moves, But can you move like smooth?" He performed a relatively simple dance move. He walked away.

"Yo, I can move like smooth." Jerry scoffed. "It's just a split. I can do a split. Check it." Jerry attempted to perform the same dance moves, but when he did the split there was a rippling sound. As I cringed at the sound.

"I think your pants just ripped." Jack laughed as Jerry groaned.

"That wasn't my pants." Jerry denied.

"Now, I don't know to know what ripped." I said.

The boys and Bella stood inside the dojo stretching and learning Jerry's Dance. "All right, now let's do the whole thing from the top." Jerry said before realizing that they were missing someone. "Hey, where'd Kim go?"

"She wanted to change into her dance gear." Jack shrugged.

"Okay, let's do this!" Kim shouted excitedly as she walked out of the locker room. She was wearing some you would wear in a 80s workout video. We all looked in disbelief at her. "What? This is how dancers dress."

"Maybe in the 80's in Poland." Milton sassed.

"I tried to stop her, she wouldn't listen to me. Kim, you look like someone from a 80s workout video." Arabella exclaimed.

"Hey!" Kim said offended.

"Come on, guys. We've got a lot of work to do." Jerry told them. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah!" Everyone agreed.

"I can't hear you." Jerry tried to boost their enthusiasm.

"Really? Because that was pretty loud." Milton said worriedly, "I THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME HEARING LOSS!"

"All right. Here we go. Whoo-oo!" Jerry whooped, turning on the music. As Everyone but Bella were dancing and it was very bad Arabella was sitting on the bench. "Esta gente que esta haciendo? Whoa whoa whoa." Jerry said as he stopped the music. "Okay, I taught you this." Jerry demonstrated a dance move. "You guys are doing this!" He mimicked their ridiculous movements.

"Come on, guys, don't you have any dancing experience at all?" Jerry asked.

"Well, uh...I have my own victory dance I do every time I win a match." Jack said smugly doing a dance that made him look like a rooster.

"If that's your victory dance, I'm gonna start rooting against you." Arabella said to Jack with a smirk on her face and Jack glared at her.

"It's been a while since I've danced onstage, But I think I'm just as good now as I was then." Kim said walking over to sit by Arabella on the bench.

"Milton, tell me there's a dancer hiding in there somewhere." Jerry almost begged him.

"Oh, believe you me, I have bust manymove." Milton said proudly before h cringed at the memory, giving away all the hopes Jerry had.

"Eddie, please give me some good news here." Jerry begged him.

"Well, I did go to Mrs. King's dance academy." Eddie said.

"Don't she said that you were a bad dancer." Arabella asked.

"Yeah, but I don't go there to be a good dancer." Eddie replied.

"Okay, this isn't working." Jerry said because he know the Bella is good dancer. "Come on, guys, this is important to me. You gotta start trying."

"Whoa, we're trying." Jack said.

"Yeah, maybe we should just take a break." Eddie asked.

"Fine, but before you go, think about this. When you dance, you gotta totally feel it. When I dance, I'm not thinking about anything. My head is absolutely empty." Jerry explained.

"Well, that explained somethings about you." Arabella said.

"Right, like right before an algebra test." Kim joked much to Jerry's displeasure.

"Hey, you guys better be ready to work when you get back." Jerry screamed after them before turning to Arabella. "Is dancing so hard?"

"I know it's difficult for them, because they don't have any good dance experience but karate." Bella told him.

"I know." Jerry sighed as he started the music and do his dancing routine.

"What's up, Jerry?" Smooth greeted. Bella grumbled in annoyance.

"Smooth. What are you doing here?" Jerry asked as he turned off the music.

"That was a pretty crazy move I saw you do." Smooth said.

"And that's my cue to leave, I will see you later, Jerry." Arabella said as she patted Jerry's shoulder and give Smooth a disgust look at him and walked out the dojo.

~Arabella's POV~

We walked into Falafel's Phil's to see Jerry inside talking Smooth. "Jerry, what are you doing here? We were waiting for you back at the dojo."

"A little change of plans... Jerry's a part of my crew now." Smooth said, smugly, "He wants to dance with the best."

"What?! Jerry, is that true?" Jack said, shocked and hurt.

"Yeah, it is true." Jerry said without no remorse, "Hey, smooth's a great dancer. And he's my only real shot to be a part of a winning crew."

"Jerry, how could you! So you would rather win than be with your friends?" I said hurt by his action.

"Look, it's not about winning, okay? This guy also makes his own cocoa butter."

...(◕‿◕✿)

The next day we walked into Falafel's Phil's again and to only find Jerry sitting alone in a booth. "Well, if it isn't eggs Benedict." Eddie said as I looked at him confused.

"You mean Benedict Arnold?" I said.

"No, I don't think I do." Eddie denied.

"Should you be practicing with your new smooth dance friends?" Jack sneered.

"They're not my friends." Jerry scoffed. "Smooth just used me to steal my move."

"They stole the Jerry?" Kim asked.

"Yeah. And it's not called the Jerry anymore. Now it's called the smooth. He just named it after himself. Ah, zero imagination." Jerry told us.

"Jerry." Jack started. "You got us so excited about this dance thing. You said we were gonna do it together and then you bailed on us." We all started to walk to the register just to be stopped by Jerry.

"Look, I'm never gonna be great at karate or...
Or a great school person." Jerry began.

"Student." Milton corrected.

"Whatever." Jerry grumbled. "Dancing is the one thing, I'm really good at. And I just wanted everyone to see that. But you guys are my friends. And I shouldn't have walked out on you. So I'm sorry." Jerry started walking out of the restaurant before I stopped him.

"Jerry, wait!" I called out to him. Jerry turned around, looking expectantly. "If you still wanna be in the contest, We'll be your crew."

"Really?" Jerry asked excitedly. "Yes, the kid is back in the game." Jack and Jerry shared a bro hug before leaned on the booth closest to him. "You guys are awesome!"

"Not at still stink." Milton intervened.

"Yeah, would you excuse me, please?! I'm on a date!" Joan exclaimed, swiftly walking past us with a blown up man in an orange shirt. She wacked Jack in his face with the blown up man's face, I had a shock expression.

"You are okay..." I asked him.

"Yeah." Jack replied.

kickin' it with you!

We watched as the Stepbrothers performed in an orange and beige uniform. Pretty boring if you ask me. Their dance wasn't interesting either. The only interesting part was Jerry's move and they didn't even come up with that. Our routine is definitely one out of the ordinary, but it's definitely a lot more exciting. Plus our uniforms were black gees with spritz of colors everywhere. "Wow, how about that? Come on, people, give it up for the stepbrothers." The girl who was hosting the competition said. "Did you see that last move? That was crazy! Then how do you come up with something like that?"

"By stealing it." Jerry called out making me and the gang nod in agreement.

"Yeah." we agreed in unison.

"Now let's give it up for the last act of the competition... The Wasabi warriors." The host announced. As me and the gang prepped, Smooth pulled Jerry over to the side to converse.

"Alright gusy lets win this." I said. Jack went to go get Jerry in position. We performed together with the occasional split ups, me and Jack performing a duo together, and Jerry performing a solo at the end. It was amazing. We high fived each other excitedly.

"Wow, that was awesome." the host exclaimed. "I have the judges' results. The winner of the trophy and the $1000 , prize. Is... The stepbrothers!"

"I thought you guys were awesome." Jerry said, happy even though they didn't win. "I was proud to have you as my crew."

"This year, the judges are also awarding. A trophy for best individual dancer." the host announced making Smooth automatically walk up to take the trophy. "And the winner is...Jerry Martinez!"

"What?! Jerry? He's not that great. I can do what he did. Watch this." Smooth promised as he attempted to perform the trick, only to land crashing into the judges' table making everyone laugh. As he got up to leave, he tripped on the table again, making more laughs erupt throughout the mall.

"Eh, not very smooth, smooth. Whoo-oo!" Jerry whooped. "Yeah, that's right. I'm taking my "whoo-oo" back." Jerry walked up to the host, speaking into the mic. "Uh, yeah, I'd like to thank my mom, my dad, Rudy, my crew. Couldn't have done it without you guys. Oh, and uh one last thing. I'd like to say is, Five, six, seven, eight, and..." He and Jack started doing Jack's victory dance.

kickin' it with you!
