Somewhere else in Japan, during the same day yet in an entirely different setting.
A brave girl with song, must fight for the future.
Against a past completely forgotten.

She shivered. An unwanted dream struck across her brain. A habit that returned recently.

"Mytyl?"

Mytyl Kamizono soon regained consciousness. She was on a hospital bed with a bandage on her forehead and tubes attached to her arms, her lavender hair was messy yet her ahoge/hair antenna is still standing straight up. Her red eyes opened groggily, their sight still unclear yet that didn't stop her from noticing the three vague figures in the room, one of which is gently holding her hand.

"I-I'm sorry." the figure continues, "If only I was by your side, this would have never happened..."

By the tone of their voice and how their hand was trembling, it was obvious that they felt responsible for her being here. Even though she didn't know why she was here or who the person even was, she didn't feel comfortable having someone be that sad because of her, so naturally….

"I fo...mwu." she said half-asleep, slurring the whole sentence but still shocking the person who stands up for a moments, looks moments away from hugging her, then lets go and instead backs off.

"She's gone through a lot of stress, but overall her body is perfectly healthy." A person who's most likely the doctor or nurse -every voice sounded the same in the dream- said in the middle of it, moving up one hand to push up their glasses. "The amnesia however, is another matter entirely."

"What can we do to fix that!?" a very small person? Some ball in the air? Something said with frustration, moving up and down in the air frantically. "Come on, Doc, aren't you the best?"

"That's the problem." The doc replies, for a moment Mytyl wonders why they don't seem affected by the presence of a talking ball, but then shrugs it off as dream logic. "She's perfectly healthy."

"What do you mean by that?" the one who held her hand asks, now their back to the wall.

"It means there's nothing wrong with her, nothing in her body explains the complete loss in her memories so the only other explanation is that her retrograde amnesia is due to gained trauma. And the only treatment for that is to give her time, to let her rest in a stress-free environment. Speaking of environment, she can return home now the moment her legal guardian comes to pick her up."

Cue the dramatic entrance of said person, their only noticeable traits being that they are far taller than everyone else and give a mild bow upon entrance. "I've arrived ****, sorry to be late."

"No, it's fine!" The ball speaks again in a hurry, as if to not lower the mood even here. The other figure adds in a slow and weak nod, before glancing at the doc. "There she is, what next doctor?"

"Well, naturally I'll be talking about the discharge and will have to ask a few questions." The doctor replies, then turns to the new person. "Do you wish to speak of it here or-"

"I'd appreciate it if we could have a moment first, in privacy." the tall one politely interjects, this mildly offends the doctor still but regardless they move to leave and now the room is fully silent.

"So…" She starts, -obviously a woman by the way she carries herself- her gaze fully focused on the quietest member in the room. "What happened?"

"Nothing happened." he replied harshly, to himself as he continues. "That I couldn't have prevented, had I not lost sight of what was truly important…" his gaze then turns back to Mytyl, more and more details appearing the further the memory goes, like the vibe of regret he has now.

"Boss...you can't change the past." the ball replies gently, carefully and with pity.

"That doesn't change the fact I should've been better." which only irritates him, his head now fully lowered. "As twisted as it is, one could even call this karma for my actions. But why did she have to pay the price?" he moves to Mytyl's side again, not realizing that she's half-awake rather than half-asleep as in she's totally hearing this, which she is with great interest. "It should have been me."

The tall lady bites her lip yet calmly asks, "...Do you really believe that? That you've failed?"

"Spare me the feel-good talk, I did fail and I am nothing more than a leech in her life." He holds in a breath, then lets out a tired sigh before moving to the door. "Never again will I let her be hurt."

The dream changes abruptly once he leaves the room, now Mytyl is back in her own bedroom as if none of that happened. But always, always after the dream of the hour she hears a knock on her wardrobe, her curiosity peaks so she opens it and once she enters it, finds herself atop a skyscraper, with the landscape covered in similarly buildings only to hear trouble way above in the night sky.

Well, not above as in they're flying. But above as in they're huuuuuuuuuuuuge! But anyway…

Godzilla covered in blue paint is engaged in a murder death kill against four other gigantic monsters, those being the White Tiger from Skull Island, a golden feathered Litra, that dragon from DBZ but colored in yellow and wearing a ms pacman ribbon alongside the iconic Gamera!

Their battle always ends up ending different ways! Sometimes Godzilla and Shenron gang up on the White Tiger, then force Gamera to join and beat up Litra. Other times Litra simply swoops in the moment everyone is too exhausted fighting each other and gets an easy win and in rarer occasions, only one of the gigantic fighting monsters survives the battle...only to die from their wounds still.

No matter who wins, the city ends up in ruins. And every time after that, a voice speaks up.

Like….right now! No? Just a second then, it should arrive any minute now, any minu-

"Do you wish to prevent this outcome?" a black sword carried by butterflies appears in front of her, their tone female, sweet and kind yet still a bit serious every single time they meet in the dream.

"Do you want a happy ending? Do you want your memories back?" They question, leading to...

"If so find me and reclaim your power!" their vague offer! Which gives no details on how to do so!

And then the dream ends, leaving Mytyl to groggily wake up in her room.

Her sheets are twisted about as she moved in her sleep and sometimes even falls off her bed. But that's not important right now! What is important is to figure out is… "Mmm, what time is it?"

That answer lies on the display on her alarm clock, one she doesn't find on the bed-table next to her so she has no choice but to use her eyes to observe her room once again in greater detail:

Ah, wait never the alarm is simply lying on the floor, it must have fallen off when she sleepily pushed the delay button to shut it up. But more importantly the time on it says 7:30!

And that's no good! It means she only has 30 minutes to make it to school and showing up late for the first day of a new school year would give a terrible impression upon the new friends and hopefully even a rival she will most definitely have. Determined to not mess up, Mytyl jumps off her bed in a hurry, quickly changes into her high school clothes and charges out of the room!

Maybe she should have cleaned the mess she made, but there's no time, besides there are maids!

"Noooooriiiiiiiiiiiii!" Mytyl wails like a whale. Her ahoge moving around frantically as she makes her way to the living room. Knowing her voice will reach her. "I'm late! We have to go right now!"

"Oh, Mytyl. I was just planning to wake you." The maid replies casually, having just put a newly made breakfast of eggs and bacon on the table. "Are you going somewhere?" she asks politely.

"Yes, to school!" She replies in a hurry but still moves to the table, not one to skip on a meal made by their godly chef. "Can we eat these on the road? They smell super good but I don't want to-"

"Mytyl." Nori interrupts with a tone just one step lighter than the usual stoicism.

"All-right, fine. I'll eat it, I'll eat it!" Misunderstanding and interrupting the interruption, she quickly devours her meal -with some etiquette mind you- while Nori moves to the garage.

Afterwards she picks up some of the remaining toast, just shoves it in her mouth and rushes to rejoin the maid outside, who's already waiting for her with her motorcycle and baby-wagon.

How she managed to change her clothes and get the engine going in the short three minutes she had is an absolute mystery to Mytyl but then again, she always suspected that Nori is some super maid.

"Ready to go?" Said super-maid says as she puts on her helmet and tends the other to her.

"Always!" Mytyl agrees as she puts it on and moves into the sidecar, then for no reason puts one fist dramatically in the air. "Only fifteen minutes left, so there's no choice but to use…."

"The super-boost!" she pats the back of the vehicle after that dramatic announcement, remembering how it can easily gain insane speeds from the extreme sport demonstration Nori gave her one day.

"Sure, and then we'll be arrested for breaking the speed limit. Also the name is Hyper-boost."

"Boost, smoost, whatever. Let's go Nori! To a brand new day and another adventure!"

Their exchange over, Nori drives the vehicle while Mytyl sings some cartoon intro to herself.

TODAY'S EPISODE:

A Sweet Song Is About To Play: We Are Magical Striker Mytyl!
Amai Ka Ga Ensou Sa Re You Toshite I Masu: Watashitachi Ha Mahou No Sutoraika Mytyl desu! (甘い歌が流れます:私たちはマジカルストライカー・マイティル!)

Meanwhile in a dark room, where there aren't any windows to look out what time of day it is, nor to watch anyone outside. Surrounded by a green aura, a person in a black cloak could be seen. Said cloak obscured all of them, except for a green ring braced around one arm holding a revolver.

A flicker in the air, and a figure appeared in the room. "Long time no see, Sheep Leader is it?"

"You…" the cloaked one, now known as Sheep Leader doesn't turn around, their sight still focused on the computer screen in front of them. "What brings you here? No matter who you are, you can't exactly come and go whenever you want. Even if you're a great source of information…"

"Speaking of information, I came here to let you know something juicy...for the usual prize." the figure with green clothes and a small cap replies with a mischievous smile on their obscured face.

"Speak." Sheep Leader humors them, no joy in their voice but no anger either for this is as usual.

"Our blue bird will be having a speech at Sakurazaki Academy, around the afternoon. I believe that if you want to act against him then doing so in a space where he can't go all out must be ideal, no?"

"How do I know you're not lying?" Sheep Leader asked, then scoffed. "Why would he be there?"

"Publicity, of course. Even now Sumeragi's rep is still at an all-time low, so instead of worrying about the people of today why not use their tool to influence the impressionable youth?"

"Hmm…" Sheep Leader's aura intensifies as the color becomes darker. "Fine, I suppose now will be a fine time for a dramatic reintroduction. Besides, the striker will finally have his past catch up."

"But don't misunderstand me." Sheep Leader's tone fills with suspicion as they transfer the money with some ease for the info, and in exchange gain a map of the place. "I can tell that you're planning something and if whatever scheme you have backfires, then don't think for a second that you can run back to us." Naturally they'll be releasing a special surprise for this mission.

"Whatever you say, Sheep Leader." another flicker and they are gone.

Sheep Leader frowned sternly behind their cloak. But got to work as they quickly contacted another number over their computer. "Sheep 2 over, over, can you hear me Sheep 2? I've got new info."

"Hearing you loud and clear, what is it Z-Sheep leader?" A female voice responds, mildly authoritative and in hindsight she is, as he is just the muscle and the one to look impressive while she's the one to make the true shots for him. An alliance between two old friends for one goal.

"The time has come." Sheep Leader replies, then whispers. "Finally...we will get our answers."

"I won't let you run away anymore...face me once and for all, Gunvolt."

"Ok, but dramatic sentence aside. What does that actually mean?" Sheep 2 asks deadpan.

"Oh well, you see." Sheep leader scratches the back of their head, a gesture that really lowers whatever threatening image they currently have. "The blue bird will be attending Sa-"

"Sakurazaki Academy?" Sheep 2 correctly guesses. Their tone changing to unimpressed.

"How did you know?"

"It's common knowledge." Sheep 2 sends a file that shows a poster announcing the event, or to be more precise the winning school of an event that has said visit be one of the rewards given out.

"Oh…" Sheep Leader sounds puzzled for a moment. "Did you plan something then?"

"So you haven't read my latest e-mail...fine, I'll just explain. So listen up."

"This is what we're going to do..."

"Are you sure you can't go faster?" Mytyl asks on her seat, seat-belt and a helmet on.

"If I go any faster then the ice may make the vehicle slip and if we hit someone, it'll be trouble." Nori replies as calmly as ever, her driving quite reckless on the other hand as the motor slips and weaves past various cars and remains on the exact speed-limit as they're about to enter the city.

As explained before, the Kamizono Mansion is quite a distance away from the mainland. Like a 2 hour drive away if you got a decent vehicle. Yet here Nori is making the same distance in minutes.

One could call this impossible, but Mytyl doesn't question it. Having already seen plenty of common sense defying feats from her loyal caretaker. If not encouraging her to do more of them.

Instead she admires the sight of the snow falling down, coating all of the skyscrapers and lower buildings with a tinge of white that shines nicely in the tint of the about to rise sunlight. Every building is stacked next to each other like gigantic piles of domino's yet there is still enough space for some alleyways and smaller houses to be set between them. The main streets are occupied by mostly road, road and even more road for all the grounded vehicles alongside those airborne but even the side-walks are filled to the brim with waves of people as the heart of the city never rests no matter the time. Of course the blue landscape is also covered in boards and posters filled with ads.

Though after yet another turn, and some more distance covered. The buildings become smaller and more homely as Nori drives towards the east and enters the neighborhood meant for the rich folk, a few more minutes and they finally get to see a white building behind a gate in the distance. "We're almost there." Nori says, giving Mytyl a glance, a big mistake when someone ahead is on the street.

"Gre-wha-" whatever Mytyl was about to say is interrupted by the sound of guess what? The sound of their vehicle coming to an abrupt halt after hitting a solid object. Said object gets launched into the air, does a flip and lands straight on their back where they lie still as both girls look in shock.

"Oh, god we just ran someone over!" Mytyl says the obvious and immediately unbuckles herself, jumps out of her seat and approaches the hit by car fellow with worry in her eyes. "Are you ok?"

Cue the inappropriate cut to commercials.

(Eyecatch 1: Magical Mytyl twirls around and winks to the camera as Nori and Xaoi Wu hop in with mouse costumes and a tiny GV3 logo appears on the left of the screen.)

(Eyecatch 2: Magical Mytyl look at an oven as if waiting for something. Suddenly, a 'ding' noise is heard. Then she opens the oven to see six cupcakes that have hers, Gunvolt's, Kirin's, Xaoi Wu's, ZedΩ's and Copen's faces on them as a tiny GV3 logo appears on the left of the screen.)

CG Time: The stranger on the ground is wearing a green tunic like outfit with three ties and yellow circles around the arms alongside the edge of his boots. A short green cap is on his head, covering part of their blue hair as they pull the cap down to avoid letting their green eyes be seen with one hand and use the other to scratch the back of their head to look casual as they fake smile.

Mytyl on the other hand looks completely flabbergasted, her hands just hanging in the air as she's not sure whether to help pull him up or not touch him lest she'd harm him even more. Her hair antenna stuck in the shape of a question mark as some sweat droplets form on her forehead too.

Nori is still seated on her vehicle. Her usual stoic look on her face as she overlooks the scene of the two now that they have all moved to the sidewalk. Nobody else is present in the fore or background.

Conversation: I'm so sorry!

[-Xiao Wu's theme starts playing-]

Mytyl: "I'm so sorry! Are you allright? Do you need a hospital? Nori knows first-aid!"

*Though I may have been overreacting, it's not like I could help it. It's not every day you accidentally smash into someone at full-speed. The poor boy could have broken something!*

?/You know it's Xiao Wu:"Huh? What are you talking about? I'm completely fine!"

Nori: "Indeed, take a closer look. Do you see any injuries anywhere on him?"

Mytyl: "Huh?" *As I take a closer look, I see indeed that he doesn't have the slightest scratch or bruise on him. Something that should be impossible, unless we didn't him?* "But how? What?"

Xaio Wu: "I guess drinking lots of milk does some good after all." *Ignoring my question, the boy simply moves to stand up, then falls back to the ground, their leg clearly hurt.* "I'm fully fine."

Nori: "You heard him, nobody got hurt so there's no reason to linger. Let's be on our way."

Mytyl: "You don't look fine at all! Don't think I'll fall for such an obvious lie." *Ignoring's Nori's unhelpful remark, I stretch my hand out to him to help him get up.* "Don't worry about the costs for treatment or anything like that, I'm super duper rich after all! So take my hand and let me help."

Xaio Wu: "Again, I'm fine." *He still takes the hand though, and pulls himself up. For a moment, the proximity makes me realize he's not that bad looking but that's not here and there. Nor does it last long as he backs off once he can fully stand again.* "I appreciate the feeling though, miss…?"

Mytyl: *Seeing an opportunity to make a good first impression, I immediately take it by putting on the first meeting pose that I invented. Which is really just me moving a bit so my back faces the sun and pointing one of my thumbs at myself under the natural stage-light.* "Mytyl Kamizono, you?"

Xaio Wu: "I'm sorry but are you like, a unicorn?" *He asks a question I can't answer in shock.*

Nori: "Are you insulting my lady?" *Nori asks the question before I can answer.*

Xaio Wu: "Of course not, but is it just me or do you not see the way her hair moves around?"

Mytyl: "It's a special talent but anyway, what's your name?" *I quickly change the subject.*

Xaio Wu: "John, John Doe. Nice to meet you." *He replies with an honest smile.*

Mytyl: "Likewise! But ahem, are you sure, as in super sure that you'll be fine?"

Nori: "I think we've had enough talk." *Nori interrupts.* "Why don't you move ahead Mytyl and I'll take...John Doe to a proper place for treatment. You wouldn't want to end up late right?"

Mytyl: "Ah, true, true, I've completely forgotten! Okay I'll be going then, see you all later!"

Xaio Wu: "And off she goes, she sure has quite the energy for someone who was once bedridden."

Nori: "And you sure look as if you don't remember what I said would happen if you reappeared."

Xaio Wu: "Pssh, please. You're the one that approached me with a crash into hello."

Nori: "And you're the one that ran on the road while the light was nowhere close to green."

Xaio Wu: "Details, details. Besides it's a sign of great friendship to forgive such things."

Nori: "Uhuh, in that case answer me this: What do you want and why should I consider it?"

Xaio Wu: "Well, first of all. I think you know why already and secondly…"

"Things are about to get more exciting."

[-Music Stops and Conversation Ends-]

Math Class, 8th grade. Just in time, Mytyl managed to dash into the room, slide a few feet forward as she braked her rush like a car and walks up to her seat. And couldn't believe her eyes afterwards.

"Hatano!" she calls in joy at the sight of the girl seated next to her. She couldn't believe the two of them would be in the same class again. Quickly packing her stuff, Mytyl turns around with a bright smile and her antenna in the shape of an exclamation mark, "Long time no see! How are you?"

"Still as loud as ever…" The girl called Hatano mumbles with a mixed expression, yet her eyes, correction one can't see those under her swirly opaque glasses, so uh, her vibe feels friendly. She has black hair and wears the same uniform as Mytyl due to a dress-code. "But I'm fine, you?"

"As happy as ever." Which is a lot, a whole lot, if someone wanted to make a happiness meter then Mytyl's minimum level would be that of a ray of sunshine. "But anyway, how was your weekend?"

This was the wrong thing to ask as a menacing shine glows over Hatano's glasses, a prelude before she ends up rambling about the only hobby she has in her young life: Games, of all kinds video!

"Hey, Michi." That's Mytyl's nickname. "Do you know about the latest game that came out?"

"Huh? Nah, I haven't. Is it one of those shooter or sport games that get re-released every year?"

"Bzzz, it's a platformer game! With run and gun elements. It's every evening on tv!"

"Well, then I didn't see it. My bed time is strictly at 6 pm after all."

Even then most of the channels she can look at have been carefully filtered by orders of her aunt. She has grown really protective of her after the tragedy of one year ago...which is not the subject!

"Oh, hey, are you alright? Did I upset you somehow Michi? I was just being coy…"

"Ah? No! No, no, no! Of course not! Just, tell me already. What did you play?"

"Fine, I'll show you." Without a hint of shame, Hatano pulls out a portable game-box with a front and back cover of what she's talking about. "It's the game inspired by real life events, the tale of.."

"Masked Volt Adventures: Strike against Wonderland!"

"Wonder Volt has his own game?" Mytyl is surprised but at the same time can see it happen, plenty of games are made about actors, singers and authors. So why not one about a real life superhero?

"And a TV-show, some manga or two, and I think a movie will come the next year as well."

Masked Volt, Wonder Volt, The Azure Justice, no matter how you called them is currently the biggest hot pot of gossip and controversy in today's media. Being one of the most powerful Adepts in the world, if not number one entirely. It was a shock world-wide when they saw the errors of their way and joined Sumeragi for the greater good and to repent for their past as a terrorist.

Covered in blue armor with Sumeragi's symbol on the back and a butterfly mask to hide their face, they are the leader and currently only member of the Sumeragi Savior Squad: A unit deployed to deal with the most extreme incidents that come Japan's way and solves them all without fail.

Naturally mere mention of them is enough to be controversial as there are many people willing to denounce them as nothing more than a living weapon, some monster mercenary that Sumeragi finally had the brains to properly hire or positively one of the few adepts that knows its place.

The only reason people haven't started to outright demand their death is because they're simply that good at the job and have a history of defying Sumeragi before. A past that ironically gives them extra cred with the public as they're in no hurry to forget the corruption and incompetence of it.

But in short, they're loved by children for the superhero design, loathed by teenagers for the rebel turned corporate slave past and feared by most adults as they know what they are capable of doing.

Mytyl of course knows none of this, and so just nods with a smile. "So his efforts are rewarded?"

"More like commercialized." Hatano shrugs, then puts back her box. "They're-" she emphasizes the pronoun as with the slim figure, long hair and audio-filtered voice, even their gender is unknown. "-basically some sort of idol-cop now that I think of it. I wonder if they're good at dancing?"

The mental sight of Masked Volt doing a moonwalk before zapping a criminal is enough to make Mytyl giggle in amusement. "That's so silly, but hey, why did you take your game to school?"

That's just begging to have her toy be confiscated. School is a negative fun zone after all.

"Because I want them to autograph it, duh. They're going to give a speech in the gymn later."

"No way!" Mytyl abuses her desk by suddenly standing up in surprise.

"Yes way." Hatano pauses, "Wait you didn't know? It was told a week beforehand!"

"I have a bad memory, I guess." Mytyl shrugs it off, then sits again. "So, you're a fan?"

"Nope. First thing I'll do afterwards is get my parents to sell the box for a higher prize."

"I should've known…."

The conversation trailed on and of a few more times before the bell rung, announcing the start of the class. Today's math lesson consisted of algebra and boring math stuff Mytyl didn't care for.

Within minutes, time started to fly by. Not because she fell asleep mid-lesson, that only happened once and she's pretty sure she obtained a never ending grudge from the teach for it. But it still did.

But actually it didn't, time was never such a thoughtful mistress, or mister? Whatever time saw itself as, it was anything but convenient to Mytyl. In fact it was quite the opposite, so it was…

She's not sure. But ignoring that and moving on. Mytyl keeps her back straight, looks towards the board so it seems like she's paying attention and finally let her attention dwindle to other stuff.

Like the dream she had today, vivid imagination aside Mytyl is pretty sure that most dreams aren't that detailed, consistent or even repeat themselves every night. Normal dreams are ones where you're in a school bus one second, see sugary birds made of candy knock people into chocolate rivers the next and finally have some evil gnomes steal your sock...wait, where was this going?

Oh yeah, the dream and what she figured out. Well, that's quite simple: A blast from the past!

The ball is obviously Lola, a real easy thing to figure out when you got family pictures just covering the wall above your bed. The pod was in the past her best friend, or so she was told as she still can't remember anything from the past. A claim she has no doubt about as traces of their existence still remain in pictures and short videos, the kind of thing she's re-watched over and over out of interest but also a small hope that the sight of her past self would trigger some memory or sense of deja vu.

They didn't. They never did, they only kept reminding her that the things that once made her happy firmly belong to her past self and nobody else. Not that she was envious of herself, that'd be weird.

She was sickly after all, but now she can walk and talk and so much more! If anything she tries to see the positive side in things, like how she gets to experience the first time in many things now.

Except for getting to know her mother, father, brother and pall who are all dead now. Which is such a shame as she's sure that they loved her. Lots and lots even, but she'll never get to experience it.

Her father died in like a lab accident, her mother in a gass accident as in a mall exploded.

And her brother died in an accident as well when he found himself at the wrong place and the wrong time and fell victim to a terrorist attack that she never got the full details off.

Those are a lot of accidents now that she thinks about it. But it's not like it means anything.

Then again, they never found the body of her mother and brother. And if the dream she had meant anything then there could be the smallest, tiniest chance that the one holding her hand was him.

Which would mean he's not dead, he's just left her life out of guilt, not even bothering to get to know the new her because she's not the one he remembers. That'd be one heck of a revelation.

But that's impossible, she even asked Nori about her dreams and got the longest blunt look in her life aimed back at her before the red-haired maid replied with a dry, "Alas, you figured it out."

Thick sarcasm aside though, she's still not sure why she's dreaming but hopes it means something, like a message that something amazing will soon come her way! Because who doesn't want that?

It's not like being special could ever hurt her.

Afternoon came and with the announcement that all of the students had to gather at the Gymn.

Naturally they did, at least most of the new ones entered the place in files and soon enough a whole crowd was gathered in front of a makeshift podium, Mytyl and Hatano in third row of the file.

The podium has a basic speech stand at the front and a gigantic logo of Sumeragi attached to the walls behind it. A group of armed soldiers serve as a barricade between it and the students while three noticeable people seem to be discussing at the side of it. Those people being the principal and some aristocrat looking fellow looming over some Sumeragi brass with blatant impatience.

"What is talking so long? Shouldn't he be here by now?" The principal asks.

"I could ask the same." the aristocratic looking fellow replies, neither of their appearances lingered on as they're that unimpressive-looking. "Any failure of his will be yours as well, Corvette."

"Ah, well, that is…" The man called Corvette stammers in doubt, his face as white as parts of his black hair while his blue eyes are filled in doubt. His entire body though covered in a fine suit with a blue rose as decoration shows not a bone of confidence in the face of authority. "I'll call him!"

As he's about to do so, Hatano speaks up beside Mytyl. "Hey, do you think they're a no go?"

"Huh?" Mytyl asks back.

"Do you think Masked Volt is not going to show up? It kind of looks like that."

"I guess? Well, we'll see eventually. It'd be a bit anti-climatic if he doesn't, but…"

From the way Corvette is frantically whispering at his phone and becoming progressively frustrated, it seems like he's either not managing to get Masked Volt to pick up or got a response he didn't like.

Before anything more can be said, a roar of thunder crackles in front of everyone.

Like a collision of one hundred thunderstorms, a highly concentrated pillar of lightning stands intimidatingly in front of everyone. The thunder snaps with so much light and sound that everyone witnessing it is filled with either a primal fear at it's intensity or awe as they see wings like those of an angel float peacefully in the sky amongst them. Roaring bolts of electricity dance and sing across the room like a natural light show, challenging all basking in it without harming them.

Then it stops, leaving only a warrior in front of everyone. A large dark blue cloak with a golden emblem coated over them, complimenting the regal military suit underneath it with it's lighter blue hue, golden outlines and several medals attached to the center of it. Their pants and shoes were no less fancy but the real highlight is the dark mask on their face, whose blue lights resemble the wings of a butterfly. Unlike what the media says, the Masked Volt in front of everyone did not seem like a cheesy superhero but more a hardened veteran with their straight posture and short-kempt hair.

Without saying a word, they take a step towards the speech stand and nobody stops them, the crowd too enthralled to make a move and those who are supposed to be his superiors thoroughly spooked.

Their eyes though hidden do not succeed in making the sharp gaze scanning over every student feel any less like those of a bird of prey facing down a bunch of bunnies. And if someone did not feel the same way then they would be a fool, for they are now in the presence of someone of true power.

"I wanted to reach out personally to share my appreciation." They finally speak, voice rough, cold, almost passionate in how little humanity it lets slip out. "For the achievements you have all made."

What follows is one of those iconic 'you're the best students in the entire country and your contribution with your future careers will one day allow Sumeragi to return to it's full glory, bla bla bla, join the military if you want to be cool like me, bla bla bla, long live Sumeragi' et cetara.

A plain vanilla type of speech that remains attention-grabbing due to the sheer presence the speaker has, as his gaze scans the crowd once more, all those under it can't help but uncomfortably fidget as the sheer pressure behind their words makes it look like they're going to personally walk up to you and beat you to death if you don't absorb everything like a sponge to water. But that's hyperbole.

What isn't is a moment, just a short moment, where Mytyl could swear that Masked Volt caught a sight of her in the crowd, lingered their gaze a moment longer than usual and then kept moving on.

"Woah...they totally stared at me." Hatano gasps in surprise, completely misunderstanding. "Oh god, what if I catch their fancy Mytlyl? I heard Masked Volt is the youngest member of SM."

"...ok." Not one to sarcastically roll her eyes, Mytyl simply goes along with it and moves on.

"Huh? What's with that weak answer Michi? Do you think they like boys instead?"

Oh, so this conversation isn't over then. "That's not…" Mytyl stops her answer, furrows her brow and looks a bit more intently at Masked Volt. "I don't think they have anyone they like right now."

Silence, followed by a nod from Hatano for Mytyl to continue.

"You have to be happy for that, and right now…" with their stoic attitude and guarded voice they look like the opposite of that, miserable even. Though it could just be a persona made to impress.

A blast from above interrupts the moment, now with a hole in the ceiling made. Men in blue armor descend with ropes into the gym. Wielding high tech energy riffles that they promptly point at the soldiers, staff, and even the students present as the sounds of sarcastic clapping is heard by all.

The clapping comes from the one known as Sheep Leader, sitting on the shoulder of a golden colored Mantis. It's four legs covered in claws allow it to leap high distances, the gigantic mini guns it has for arms give it the ability to shoot missiles and bullets aplenty and it's broad shoulders store a special surprise for those who aren't shredded by the previous features. It also has a humanoid like head to fit in with the whole knight like armor design but that's nothing more than extra fanfare.

"Good, good, that's what we call a dramatic entrance, men." he speaks as 2 more mechs appear, all three of them surrounding and pointing their weapons at the Azure Striker. "But do keep your guns trained, if he moves or looks even suspiciously sparky, then open fire. Oh and don't be surprised if the first shot or two doesn't do anything. That's a nice trick of his, prevasion or something."

The room goes wild with sound, the whole crowd of students look worried about what's to happen and or if they're going to die here. The Sumeragi soldiers have their guns aimed back at the other soldiers but they're outnumbered and definitely outgunned if those mechs open fire. Mytyl holds Hatano's hand in silent support, just as afraid but still having a shred of composure in her while the remaining grown men aka the Sumeragi Aristocrat and Corvette comically quake in fear like pups.

"Sir, please don't do this!" The principal shouts as they move to their knees, hands raised as a sign of surrender. "There are children in the building, whatever you want at least spare their lives!" gasps in surprise come from the student crowd at that as everyone thought of them as a fun-hating vixen.

"Huh? You saying something? Think you can tell us what to do?" Sheepleader asks unamused.

"Leave them out of this." Masked Volt demands with a tone that for once hints a bit of anger.

"Always defending the weak and the helpless, then again that's what I like about you, PREDICTABLE! And that's why you're going to fall here." if they didn't wear a mask then there would probably be a cruel smile on Sheep Leader's face now. "We know how you move and act, we know what your next action is, heck we know how you think! And now there is nowhere to run."

"Then, do you know what I'm thinking right now?" Masked Volt asks, but really taunts.

"Of course...you're thinking." He points at himself. "Who the hell is this guy?"

"No, I'm just trying to think of what way I'll take you all down with only one hand."

"Bah, just so we're clear here: I fully intend to kill you. Just you, everyone else can rot for all I care but why not have an audience anyway? It's fittingly dramatic to have your suffering be public." He presses some hidden button behind his ear to call someone. "We have the target, just say the word and I'll end this now." he probably says more but more importantly his attention is now dwindled.

"Corvette." So Masked Volt gives the named person a glance, "What are you waiting for?"

"Huh?" Masked Volt gives them a stronger glare for that answer, "Ah, wait, oh. Of course! You have full permission to act, release any amount of limiters you see fit. Sudden mission start!"

He shouldn't have shouted that, but Masked Volt won't let the opportunity be wasted.

"Limiter release, go all the way to 10%! Oversurge, Azure Striker! Transform now!"

[-Dancing in the Chaotic Night-]

From the outside, it can look just about instantaneous. Unlike those shows on tv where a transformation takes about 30 seconds because if so, everyone would be shot by now.

A flash of blue light and the call of thunder blinds and deafens everyone for the split second needed to finish the transformation. Masked Volt's clothes dissapear as they turn into a white silhouette with barbie like anatomy. Spontaneously a thunder-like blue cloak with the Sumeragi symbol appears on their back, the fabric stretching itself to become the perfect size. The transformation continued to the hands stuck in an upright position as they soon after got covered in gloves with blue highlights. Moving up, their hair once so short and proper sparkles within the light and transforms into a larger golden pony tail, perfectly braided alongside a cute little black ribbon attached to the end of its purple tainted tip. Drifting back to his chest, the cloak turns stouter as armor pads appear on his shoulders and the back of his neck while a bright blue core attaches itself to his upper center and sparkles with his electricity. Finally his bare feet gain gray boots with blue shades and white highlights in symphony as the energy travels upwards and creates a blue pair of pants in the process, one thick enough to withstand the lightning yet also not leaving anything to the imagination.

At the end, the energy travels to their face, whose eyes dramatically open to reveal beautiful blue eyes before a butterfly mask, now more blue than black flaps its wings and lands to hide the face.

Another blast of lighting ends the transformation, revealing to everyone that Masked Volt is standing still in place, both of their hands confidently rested on the primarily blue but also a bit of black futuristic sword that is their glaive or at least one of them. As if to demonstrate or perhaps show off, Masked Volt picks up the blade and dramatically points it towards Sheep Leader.

"What the fuck." Sheep Leader replies in confusion, one of his hands rubbing his eyes just to make sure that yes, he just witnessed a goddamn magical girl transformation out of nowhere. "What d-"

"Now then." Masked Volt starts, voice still monotone and not above the appropriate range yet their eyes are filled with absolute confidence that this wouldn't be a fight or a brawl or even a challenge.

"Did you know I can do this?" this will be nothing more than a complete humiliation.

Will Masked Volt save the students of Sakurazaki Highschool? Who is Sheep Leader's true identity? Is Xaoi Wu plotting something and if so how does Mytyl fit within all this?

Find out next episode in…

What do you mean I'm the reincarnation of two prior heroines whose former boyfriend joined a world ruling organization that he once fought against while my brother became a world traveling mass murderer out to kill people with supernatural abilities, people that I am a part off because I have the ability to use magical songs that are the key to peace but also destruction? NEXT EPISODE PREVIEW:

Mytyl: I can't believe it! Masked Volt is fighting a mysterious masked man!

Xaoi: Not that mysterious if you already know what the code names mean.

Nori: More importantly, when does Mytyl get to become a magical girl and when will I or Copen be temped to murder you for disrupting her once peaceful life with intense and very detailed agony?

Gunvolt: Next episode of course, though I wonder why I would need any help whatsoever here.

Mytyl: I don't know! But what I do know, is that no matter what the good guys always win!

Everyone but her: This girl…

Xaoi: Hey hold on, this isn't a proper preview at all. Nothing new was foreshadowed!

Nori: Like anyone cares about what you think, anyway until next time and ciao.

Author note: The light novel title is a joke by the way, don't read into it. That said yes, while Copen was having a bad time everyone else in Japan was and is in the process of doing this. One more episode to wrap it all up and we'll gain a little focus on Kirin and what happens at S-fit too.

Unless my attention wanes again, but anyway that's it for now and I hope you enjoyed it.
