Chapter 6 was fun to write.
Chapter 7 ( 2 year time jump)
"Can you believe we are multi billionaires Boo? Where has the time gone?"
"My love, we were billionaires before we started this. But yes I know what you mean. We haven't touched three fourths of our trust funds we got for graduation."
"Yes I know and I'm surprised we didn't have to. Not with what mom and dad gave us."
"Well my darlin girl, are we ready to talk about the wedding?"
"Yes but you need to talk to dad again. You told him you would ask again when the time was right. Yes and we still want a Spring wedding in April next year right?"
"Yes my love unless you want it sooner? April is fine with me."
"No, we will be married in April. We need to pick a date?"
"We will after I talk to daddy Ray."
"It doesn't seem like it's been two years since I asked him in Cambridge you know."
"Yes Boo I know and I think everyone remembers that day."
"Hell I think all of Boston remembers that day."
They are both sitting in their office laughing and reminiscing about their day."
Christian is walking around outside trying to get himself together so he can go and talk man to man with Ray. Oh boy what if he says no to me? No way he knows I love his daughter with everything in me. Bite the bullet and go talk to him. He is leaving tonight.
"What's on your mind Chris? I know something is because you have been walking around outside and all over the grounds. Hell Jason can't keep up with you. So son let's sit and tell me what is going on or better yet ask me the question that is burning in your mind. I might not be as smart as you and Annie but I know the question is coming so go ahead and ask?"
Christian looks at Ray and takes a deep breath then sits down in a chair across from Ray.
"Ray, you know Ana and I love each other. We have loved each other our whole lives from the day we were born and put side by side. There has never been anyone for me but your daughter. I love her with all my heart and soul. I would for her. She is my light, she is my reason for living and getting up every morning. I don't want to think of my life without her in it. I don't know what I would have done without her. She is my ray of sunshine on a cloudy day and she shines brighter than the brightest star in the sky."
"I love Annie Rose with everything I have daddy Ray and I want her to be my wife and the mother of my children. I want no I need her in my life to walk beside me and knock me in the head when I do something wrong. Heck fire all the bets we did she never once backed down from them."

Christian smiles at him. Ray looks at him and stands up.
"I will give you my blessing but there is no way in hell you are marrying my daughter right now. Hell you both just graduated and now going home to start your business and live your lives. I know that you two will be together."
He raises his voice and sits back down.
Christian looks at him and wonders what brought that on.
"Chris I am pulling your leg son. Yes you can marry my daughter whenever you are both ready. I just had to see your reaction to what I said."
"Please don't do that. You had me worried and no we are not going to marry right now it will be a while. We want to finish our classes and get established. Thank you Ray."
"You are welcome Chris, just love and take care of my baby girl that is all I ask but if you hurt her or make her cry you will answer to me and her mom and you don't want momma Carla on your ass."
"I won't ever hurt her or make her cry ever unless they are happy tears. So on our wedding day you can't hurt me cause they will be happy tears."
He says smiling at Ray.
"Yes son I know."
They both laugh and walk out of the study.
"Yeah he yelled for a few minutes but he could be heard everywhere."
"I can't believe he thought we were going to marry that quickly."
"Well we are going over there after work today. I guess if you want to ask him again that would be a good time. I want to get married this spring. Not a huge fairy tale wedding you know that is not us."
"Yes love I know. I just want you to have the wedding that you always dreamed of."
"I will be with you standing in front of me saying your vows and I do."
"Alright now what colors do you want and how about the cake? You know I want a chocolate grooms cake and I know you want a fancy wedding cake."
"Not necessarily but I do want a pretty one and yes you can have your groom's cake in chocolate. Heaven forbid you miss out on chocolate."
She stands there laughing at him and he knows she is kidding.
"Come on, let's go home and go to your parents house for supper."
"I'm just closing today's sales out. You know we are going to have to order more helicopters? They are going faster than we can put them on the showroom floor here."
"Yes I know I think Mable ordered five more today. I will have to check with her in the morning. You know for us to have started out as pilot's taking people everywhere and then on tours around the mountains and all. It was hard to believe that people wanted us to sell them helicopters."
"Lord, I know it and all the red tape we had to go through. It was worth it in the end."
"Yes it was. You know I didn't know there were that many people who wanted to take tours in Tennessee. I know they were all over Dollywood but dang they wanted to fly all over."
"I know love and then the ones that wanted to see more decided they wanted to buy one. I am glad we talked to our dads about that and Jason and his buddies you know?"
"You know a lot of people that bought our helicopters were from out of town hell out of state. I know a few were from Arizona, I remember one lovely couple Kathy and Mike oh my goodness they couldn't wait to take a ride to Dollywood. Then they surprised us by saying they wanted to buy two and take them back to Arizona. They planned on giving tours of the Grand were in desperate need of helicopters. Good thing they knew dad and Ray."
"Yes it was and I am so glad they did. We sold five helicopters that day. Everything on the showroom floor. I am just glad we had what they needed."
"Yes, me too. I wouldn't have known where to start. I thought at first it would take away from our business but it hasn't. Hell it has done the opposite. We have more sales and tours now that we can handle. We have already hired three other pilots to help out on busy days. Not to mention we had to buy three more helicopters for us."
"Yes I can't believe that either. I think we should sit down and talk tonight after we go home. I think we need to reevaluate our business what we want versus what we need."
"I agree with you and I am glad you brought it up because I was going to mention it later tonight at home."
"So we are on the same page then?"
"Yes if you are talking about the tours."
"Yes, that is what I am talking about."
"Alright Boo we can discuss that we see the family tonight."

"No my dear I am waiting on you two. Are we ready to lock up and go home? I for one am hungry."

They walked out the door and to their waiting car with Gail behind them and Jason standing there with the door open.
"Jason, you can take us to my dad's. We are having supper with them and this one here is going to ask for my hand again."
Jason looks in the rearview mirror at Christian.
"Really Chris after the first time? You could hear that man screaming two city blocks."
"Yes but I am going to do it. I feel like it is the right thing to do."
"Oh that is so sweet. Have you chosen a date yet Ana?"
"Not yet but we want a spring wedding so it will be next year but not too long since it is already October."
"Oh that will be lovely. Spring flowers will be in bloom. Have you decided where?"
"No ma'am but we are thinking about mom and dad's but then again our backyard."
"Oh, either place sounds wonderful."
"Thank you Gail."
They arrive at Annie's parents house and Gail opens the door for Annie and Jason opens Christian's door.
"Thank you both and we will see you in the morning. We can walk home from here. I know you both will be looking out for us. Have a good evening."
"Alright we will see you in the morning and we will be looking out for you both. Especially you Chris to make sure you walk out of the house in good shape."
Chris just looks at Jason and smiles.
"Oh ye of little faith. That man loves me like a son."
"Yes I know he does but you are preparing to ask for his only daughter's hand again. Oh hell, go on with you young man, you'll be fine."

Chris smirks at Jason and grabs Annie's hand and they walk in the house.
"Hey you two long day at work? You both look tired."
"Hey mom and yes we are and it was an extremely long and busy day. We had four tours and sold five helicopters today. We had to order five more. I think we are going to have to El to build another showroom or two if this keeps going like this."
"Well you two need to pace yourselves. How's Brent and Chad working out?"
"Oh dad, they are doing a fantastic job with the financial and credit checks. But hell most of the ones that are buying them are paying by check or cash. Yes I said cash. Who in their right mind is going to carry tens of thousands of dollars around with them?"
"Wow, that is something. I guess with them being out of town they didn't want to write a check and have to wait for it to clear a few days before they left with their helicopter. They probably went to the bank here and got the money. The bank just called their bank and they approved it."
"Yeah I guess you are right. We have only financed three in this week. I just hate having all that money with us and then having to go to the bank carrying twenty to fifty thousand dollars you know."
"Yes my dear girl we know. Why don't you ask them to get a certified check next time."
"Yes I thought of that but by the time they got to the office they already had the money. I will tell the next ones to get a certified check for the sale."
"That's a good idea and I think it will work better and cause less headaches. I know you both have security and more if you need it but I would feel better if you do it with certified checks. I am not trying to tell you how to run your business, just pointing out a few things."
"Oh Ray we know this and we thank you for all your advice you have given us over the last two years about our business."
"Come along Annie and help me with supper."
"Alright mom what are we having tonight? I smell chicken."

"Mom Chris and I talked today about our wedding. We want to have a Spring wedding next year. Since it is already October we have time to find a wedding gown and the girls their dresses."
"Oh my that will be lovely. Spring colors yes we need spring flowers that pop. That is what you and Chris are, you both pop. You are both so bright and cherry. We will have to call the girls and Grace and go to Nashville to look for your dresses. Oh my I have to call and make an appointment."
"Calm down momma it will be alright. We have time, we have six months to be exact."
"Six months oh my we have to get the ball rolling and we need a wedding planner and oh I need to call Grace right now. She is better at this than me. She has helped with friends' weddings before."
"Mom…mom sit down and take some deep breaths. That's better now in and out. In and out. Good, are you calming down now?"
"Yes sweetheart I am ok now. Alright let's start fixin supper. I know you have to get up early in the morning."
"Yes we do but not too early. Do you already have the chicken shredded?"
"Yes Annie, it is in the refrigerator."
"Oh ok I didn't see it. Want me to make the dumplings? Oh wait, I think we both need to make them or we will be midnight eating with only one of us making them."
"Smart girl move over to the other counter and flour it and start making yours. I'll get the pots ready with the chicken broth to boil."
Meanwhile in the living room
"Chris you are fidgeting again like you did two years ago. What's going on son? You know you can talk to me anytime."
"Yes Ray I know and I am trying to just give me a minute. I want to say this right."
"Alright take all the time you need Chris."
Ray says smiling. He knows what Chris is wanting to say. He has known for two years now. Just waiting for the young man to speak up again.
"Ray, it has been two years since the first time I asked you for your blessing to marry your daughter. You said yes then and I told you I would ask you again when we were ready to say I do."
"Yes son I remember."
"Ray, I love Annie Rose more today than I thought possible. She is my moon, stars and my world. I love her so very much. She is my love, my eternity, my life. Without her my life would be so dull and meaningless. She is my forever. I will love and protect her through life. She will always walk beside me. She means the world to me Ray and if I can't have her then there is no reason for me to go on. She is the one who brings me happiness. She is one that knows what I need before I do. She is my soulmate as I said before. So Ray, will you give us your blessing to marry again?"
"Yes Chris I will and thank you for that lovely speech. You both have come a long way together and we are so proud of you two. He gets up and hugs Ray and runs to the kitchen.

"Momma Carla, I don't care they can be washed. I am happy Ray said we have his blessing again. I am on top of the world."

"Yes ma'am I did and the time is perfect."
"Oh I have to call Grace and Carrick. I hope they haven't eaten yet."
"No worries Carla, we are here. Ray called us and we brought supper. Looks like we were thinking the same thing tonight with it being chilly outside."
"Yes we are having chicken and dumplings too if Chris will put her down so we can fix the dumplings."
They all laugh at them.
'Ok love I love you but I do need to help mom."

"Have y'all set a date yet?"
"It will be in April. We haven't decided on the day."
"April oh my goodness Carla we have to get appointments made for her dress fitting and the my we need gowns too."
"Momma Grace I will tell you like told mom deep breaths in and out, in and out. Yes, that is better? I swear if you two don't calm down y'all are going to drive me crazy before we say I do."

"Yes mom we know but you two have to calm down."

"No El we are not. We have set the month but not the day yet."
"Well what are you waiting on?"
"We need to know when you are available in April? I want you to be my best man at our wedding."
"I will tell you now I am free the whole month of April unless something comes up that needs my attention."
"That makes it easier now we just have to set a date. I have to call the girls and Chris has to call the guys."
"I have to come up with a plan for a bachelor party."
"Nothing outrageous because I want dad and Ray there too."
"I have got to call Carol and see if she will be my Maid of Honor."
"Oh get out of here little missy. You know my girl will not let anyone else be your Maid of Honor. Now I can get with her later and we can come up with the bachelor and bachelorette parties for y'all."
"Well, let me ask her first, El?"
"Alright I will give you until tomorrow."
They look at him like he is crazy.
"Hey I am just kidding. Besides, she has the same hours as me since she is my assistant and my girlfriend."
"Ok but let me ask her since she is my best friend?"

"Where are the grands tonight?"
"I would imagine they are at home."
"So they don't know about the date yet? That's not good, the grans will skin you alive if you two don't tell them soon."

"We'll talk about it at home tonight."
"El, can you come by the office tomorrow? We would like to discuss some work for you. Not sure yet what all that will entail because we are going to be talking about a lot of things tonight at home."
"Sure I can swing by there at lunch time if that's alright?"
"Yes, we can order lunch from the DownTown grill. What would you like? You can call me in the morning and tell me."
"Oh I can tell you now. I want a ribeye steak sandwich on a bun with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and fifty seven sauce and an order of their crispy fries."
"Wow you have been eating there again?"
"Yes, once in a while, not too often. I have to watch my figure."

"Alright I am going to change out of the dress and put something comfortable on and then we can talk about a day for our wedding, Then we can talk about what we want to do with our business. Maybe we need to talk to Brent and Chad in the morning too."
"Yes, that would be a good idea now go change sugar."
"Alright I'm going. Are you going to change?"
"Yes after you come back down I will. You know we both can't change together if we have to talk."
"Ok, be right back."
She knew she better hurry or he woukd be up there and they wouldn't get any talking done that they needed to. Oh it would be talking but it wouldn't be the talk they needed.
Yep she was right. Just as she was coming out of the bedroom he was walking in looking all hot and sexy with his shirt off and his pants undone. Lordy, that man is trying to kill me.

"Yes she is and I will talk to Carol tomorrow after we set the date tonight."
"Ok now I was looking at the next year's calendar to see what we have scheduled. I am so glad we have this planner that we can use on the computer to set up dates and times. So April has only three tours right now. but with Neil, Cable, Justine and Barry we have more than enough to do the tours and they are only two hours long."
"What about May, how busy are we? I know we have some helicopters coming in that some people ordered ahead of time but we have plenty of help and we have dad and Ray if we need them to step in."
"Yes we do and why may I ask about May?"
"Ok so we can choose any date then. How about April twenty first? Then we can take our honeymoon for three weeks."
"So we are getting married on April twenty first. Oh my lord I have so much to do Boo. We have to get together with our friends, we have to find a wedding planner, we need to pick our colors. Oh my I am so forgetful right now what else do we need to do Chris? Oh yes the flowers, the cakes."

"Now these are just some things I have been thinking about. I am not sure if I want us to stay in the tour part of our business. I think it is putting too much on us. Don't get me wrong I know we have great pilots but you and I stay in the air more than in the office. I would like to be able to sit down and have lunch with you and just talk like we used to do. I might sound selfish but I miss you my love. But that is not the only reason. We are both tired when we come home and all we want to do is eat, shower and go to only see each other in passing because you and I are in high demand for flight tours and training new pilots. Now you tell me what you think and your concerns."
"Yes love we are on the same page I couldn't agree more with you. I love flying and helping some new recruits learn the ropes of flying. Yes we are in high demand and we have some wonderful pilots that are in demand too. So that makes it a little easier for us but not much. I think we could add a few more pilots and we could just give a couple of tours a week each. Unless you want us to stop the tours and you and I stay in the office and travel when we need to go and check out new helicopters that are being built for us. Now your thoughts?"
"Yes, that would work. I was thinking about hiring more pilots also. I have talked to Jason and he said he knows some guys that might be interested. We are in this together and I won't ever do anything without talking to you first you know that. So we are in agreement to slow our roll on the tours and concentrate on the sales and some training if needed?"
"Yes Chris we are. Now we need to call a meeting and sit down with everyone and tell them what we are planning to do. I think they will like it because I have heard them say I would rather be in the air than sitting waiting in the office. I think it will work out well. You know yourself, our pilots can only fly thirty two hours during any seven consecutive days. That is good because we have plenty of pilots and some on stand by if needed. So I say yes we are in perfect agreement with cutting back on our flight tours Chris."
"Good now all we need to do is call a meeting this week. Let's do this Friday morning and have breakfast catered from Betty Jo's Diner."
