Chapter Twentytwo – Epilogue – New Beginnings
Several situations caught Sukko off guard when he returned to duties. The Titan Headquarters was new again, as was the technology within, having no recollection of engineering any of it. But the Sorcerer just decided to let it go. Yes, here were still holes in his memories but compared to the alternative, which the Sorcerer still had no idea what, it must have been better.
However, about two months later, he vanished. No contact, gone. Without a word, he disappeared without a trace, causing widespread panic. Full scale searches of both the main timeline, and the Sol Empire found nothing, and Stripes was left desperately worried.
After a week of solid looking, Everglade in his classroom in the Sorcerer's Guild. Rather strangely, he'd been recently finding his lunch mysteriously going missing. Curiously, he looked around, and finding a trail of breadcrumbs, it lead to a locked cupboard. Frowning hard, he found the key, undid the padlock, and opened it. In the bottom of it, huddled up tight, he found an incredibly pale, Blue Hedgehog, in a long, black coat, desperately scoffing his face, with the Wizard's sandwich.
His was hungry. Everglade squealed.
"Sukko!" He stammered. Immediately, word got out that the Sorcerer had been found, and Blaze came instantly running.
But something was wrong.
Sukko was so utterly terrified, he tried to run, when she arrived, forcing Everglade to use some serious Magic just to keep him staying put. He curled, desperately frightened, tears running down his face, extremely hungry, getting paler by the second. Everglade and Blaze gasped. What was going on?
Suddenly, she saw it. Hiding inside his coat, on his belly. A small, but very distinctive bump. She quickly put her hand on it, causing the Sorcerer, to squeal as Everglade held him still. Sukko gulped, as finally it happened. She felt movement. Blaze gasped, straight at the Sorcerer.
"Your pregnant." She gulped. Everglade's eyes went wide, but Sukko squealed in pure terror, nodding hard.
"I swear I don't know how it happened. I woke up like this. Please don't tell Stripes. He doesn't want anymore children, and forbid me from having any more. He'll kill me. Help. I don't know what to do." He cried, tears running down his face.
Blaze and Everglade looked at each other.
What?
How could the Sorcerer not know? The only way he could have gotten pregnant by Stripes, was by using Magic. They were both male, and the Ultimate Lifeform was sterile. How could he not remember doing such as cast. Suddenly Sukko collapsed, as Blaze growled.
"He needs food." She ordered, and immediately, the Sorcerer was forcibly pulled out of the cupboard, and taken to the canteen. Poor Sukko was so hungry, that he just ate, his own weight in food. Regardless, for the Sorcerer's own safety, Blaze decided to tell Stripes anyway, especially as he was the father. He gasped, growling hard.
"What, pregnant? Again?" He blasted. But Blaze growled.
"Hey, back off. He's terrified." She hissed, defending him, but Stripes heaved.
"He's right, I don't want any more kids. I'm done with that, but what Sukko didn't tell you is that males Hedgehogs aren't designed to carry children, and my twins, Violet and Raven, their quills cut him up so badly, he barely survived the birth. Frank didn't think he'd go a second time." He admitted. Blaze gasped.
"Then why would he do it again, it he knew the dangers?" She wondered, but Stripes frowned.
"But you said, he didn't know how it happened." He grilled. Blaze shook his head. Suddenly, Stripes stopped, the colour draining from his face, as the huge realisation hit him and hard. He put a hand over his mouth, as he gasped gobsmacked. Blaze frowned as Stripes just cried.
"He didn't do this, I did." He admitted. "When we were returning the twins back, with our memories. When it was mine turn, I was so desperate for them to come home, for Sukko to be mine again, that our powers merged, turning a deep purple. We must have bonded." He admitted, but Blaze sighed.
"And you got him pregnant again." She hissed, but Stripes was physically shaking. He sniffed, feeling horrendously guilty.
"But I swear, I didn't mean to." He stammered. But he then panicked. "We need Frank." He gulped, but Blaze immediately cut across him. She snapped.
"Already on it. I've sent a message to the main timeline, the Doctor is on his way." She smiled, but Stripes heaved.
"Let's hope Sukko can survive this."
Several days later, and after throughly examining the Sorcerer, Frank had some good news, as everyone was gathered around. He beamed.
"He'll be alright." He announced. But Stripes frowned.
"What do you mean?" He desperately asked. But Frank smirked.
"Look, I can't explain it, but in regards to this pregnancy, the Sorcerer will be fine. I have no idea how he's done it, but the blasted Blue Hedgehog, had no only broke the laws of physics but the laws of biology too. After doing two separate ultrasounds, and used Everglade's Magic, and he's definitely carrying just one baby, thank Chaos, and it's inside an uterus, not his abdomen." He explained. "So technically, he's a she, 'kind of'." He added, utterly confused. There was utter silence. Frank giggled. "Just the uterus is there, however, nothing else, on top of his male system, so he'll need another caesarean section to get the baby out. But the womb has all the correct attached muscles, so it should shrink down naturally, stopping him from bleeding out. The uterus walls are nice and thick, so I doubt the little one's sharp quills will cut through it. So like I said, he'll be ok. He's no worse off then anyone else pregnant." He beamed. "Though bare in mind, he's significantly stronger now, then he was, the last time he was pregnant and it's only one baby, not two. The Sorcerer is weird, wacky and wonderful, for a reason." He added.
There was utter relief. Hearing that Sukko was going to make it, and easily, was music to Stripes's ears. He cheered, hugging Frank hard, but it got Everglade thinking. He'd seen the little one, inside his best friend.
It was a girl. She had a beautiful deep red fur coat, upturned quills, with gorgeous crimson eyes, a small white spot in her chest, and no stripes. But Everglade smirked, she did, but as they were the same colour as her fur, so they couldn't seen. The Wizard had the perfect name for her, as he rounded on her father. He gulped.
"Stripes, you said you didn't want kids anymore." He asked, but the Ultimate Lifeform heaved, desperately torn on the subject. He growled, nodding.
"What, of it?" He spat, somewhat harshly. But Everglade took a deep breath, and heaved.
"Sukko is carrying a girl. Can I have her?" He blurted out, to utter silence. Blaze gasped, but Stripes gulped, staring hard at the Skunk.
"Actually." He paused, thinking hard. "That works for me." He admitted, rather selfishly, but he looked straight at the Wizard. "But are you sure about this. Looking after a baby Hedgehog is a lot of work, especially one of mine." He blinked, heavily hinted at potential and incredibly strong superpowers she could have. Everglade nodded. He really wanted this. A little one to call his own.
"Yes, I'm sure." He smiled, but Blaze frowned.
"Will Sukko agree to this?" She wondered. But Stripes smirked hard.
"Initially no, but you've seen our house, it's already too big and full to bursting. Eight kids, three adults, regular guests in Frank, Lisa, their son, and Manikkos, we have no space for a baby. We have nothing for it, having already moved everything on. Once the Sorcerer realises this, he should agree, plus it's you." He grinned, rounding on the Wizard "Everglade, Sukko holds you, in ridiculously high regard. If you want to take our daughter in, and raise her yourself, I think he would be deeply honoured." He added.
He was right.
The Sorcerer went crazy when he heard Everglade wanted to adopt the baby, and immediately agreed to it. Over the next four months, their friendship strengthened over the pregnancy. But Sukko stayed at the palace. Blaze insisted on it, and Stripes agreed. There, he got around the clock care, and regular monitoring from Frank. Any and all Titan missions were refused. Thankfully, the pregnancy went without a hitch, fuelled by Magic and come due date, Frank performed the caesarean section himself. Sukko successfully gave birth to the little girl. His new uterus perfectly shank down, and there was no bleeding. He was fine.
The baby was stunning, as she was immediately given to Sonikku, for him to clean her up and then suckle, as Everglade just fell in love with her. Blaze smiled. The first in the family, to be born in her kingdom. She was deeply honoured. She grinned.
"Do you have a name for her?" He asked. Everglade immediately nodded.
"Scarlet." He beamed. Blaze exploded with delight.
"Perfect."
As Everglade settled down with the baby, taking her and Sonikku home with him, so the Blue Blur could feed her, Sukko was left lying in recovery. But he wasn't alone. Stripes was there, and had climbed into his bed and had laid beside him, cuddling him. He beamed.
"I know it wasn't easy giving up that baby, but I'm really proud of you. You did the right thing. We couldn't have cared for her properly." He nodded, but then he gulped. "And I'm so sorry." He apologised. But Sukko just nodded, as he sat up in bed. He heaved, Stripes was right, and as for the accidental pregnancy, he knew, and it was rather funny. He smiled.
"Look, I think we going to have to be more careful from now on." He grinned. "Otherwise, we'll overrun the place with baby Hedgehogs." He giggled, but Stripes rubbed his face, groaning hard.
"Oh Chaos, no, please. Six is enough, and four of them aren't even mine. They are a total handful." He admitted. But Sukko sniggered.
"And Sonikku's two." He added, as Stripes growled.
"Don't get me started on them." He hissed. But Sukko frowned.
"I still don't know exactly how I, Magic wise, conceived Scarlet." He heaved, liking the name a lot. "You told me, with all the purple, but it still doesn't make any sense." He wondered, but Stripes smirked, putting his hands behind his head.
"Does it matter? You made the Wizard extremely happy." He shrugged. But Sukko smiled.
"He'll look after her." He nodded, but Stripes agreed. He highly approved of Everglade. He smirked.
"I think he'll do an amazing job, plus we'll both still get to see her, and the kids too." He added. Sukko nodded, smiling hard, as he hugged his incredible husband.
Finally, the mighty Sorcerer was at peace. He'd been given a second chance and he'd knew it, beyond his life just being saved. He was going to grab it, with both hands, and make everyone proud. He looked down to his hand, and holding it up, he snapped his fingers but left the thumb sticking up. A top of the thumb, was a singular blue flame, burning brightly, yet leaving Sukko's glove underneath completely untouched. His smile, broadened.
His old trick. He was himself again. He blew of the flame, as he settled down to get some sleep. He was one half of twin Titans, a Sorcerer, a Doctor, a father, a mother, a brother, and a lover.
He wasn't the God Of The Cosmos anymore.
But with power and strength of his friends and family, it just didn't matter.
He was still a Hero.
