Chapter 2- Meeting The Blur Blur

*Chris's Apartment, Harlem: 8:30 PM at night*

Chris and his little sister, Anna, have returned to the apartment, with an injured Sonic. Sonic is right in Chris's bedroom.

Anna takes out a real first aid kit that they own and starts to use the stuff in there on Sonic.

They are doing everything they can to treat him.

Anna gets a cotton ball and puts on the medicine to heal his cuts, filled with bruises.

Chris gets out the bandages, which have pictures of flowers all over them. His little sister always loved flowers.

Both Chris and Anna begin to wrap the bandages around Sonic the Hedgehog, well on his injured parts anyways.

Sonic breathes heavily.

Anna gets out a stethoscope and uses it to determine Sonic's heart beat. Blood flowing and pumping inside Sonic's heart.

"Thankfully, it's normal. He's breathing and making out just fine." said Anna

"Ok. Good." said Chris

(Sonic's POV)

I have been passed out for a while now. My eyes are closed and I am in a dark, black void.

Eggman starts to pop up, in his tiny vehicle laughing maniacally, as he tries to stab and kill me..hard with the spikes attacking me. He is doing it as revenge for what I did to him.

"You will soon perish, Sonic. Then, I will rule the world with my Eggman empire. I will be unstoppable now." Eggman said, as he continued stabbing me with his flying machine.

Spikes are all over me,

I see bruises all over me to the point where I am barely recognizable.

Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Cream, Cheese, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Silver and Blaze. They are beginning to cry. Tears of raindrops rolling from their eyes. They are mortified, as they watch what Eggman is doing to me.

"No, Sonic!" Tails yells out

Cream shivers and hides under Amy. Amy growls in anger towards Eggman.

I passed out. My soul leaves my body. I am a lifeless statue. I died right there.

"Finally. Sonic the Hedgehog is dead! Now I can conquer the world, hehehe." said Eggman,

I woke up from the nightmare. My eyes open in a strange location.

It appears to be that of a big house. An apartment, perhaps.

Chris's Apartment, Harlem: 9:00 AM in the morning, Saturday*

(NO POV)

"Woah." said Sonic, "What a nightmare. What is this place?"

Chris looks shocked at the blue hedgehog in front of him. He is convinced that it's a hallucination. Anna doesn't really say anything and just smiles at him.

"Oh good. You are awake. You seem to be doing much better. We took you to our apartment and treated you while you were sleeping." said Anna

"Oh. Wow." said Sonic, "Thanks to you both. Now I can go run off again." said Sonic, as he is about to get up and out of the apartment, but Chris stops him.

"I am afraid you can't get out. Your leg is still a little bruised and hurt." said Chris,

"Oh. Okay. I can kind of feel a little pain. But I am fine." said Sonic,

"Ugh! You are so stubborn!" yelled out Chris,

"Sorry." said Sonic, with a smirk.

Chris sighs and breathes.

"Is this animal that we treated really Sonic the Hedgehog? Or am I going crazy?"

"Who are you anyways?" asked Chris

"The name is Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog." said Sonic, introducing himself,

Chris is shocked to see a famous imaginary blue hedgehog hero in his home. Well, the blue hedgehog was once thought to have been imaginary anyways. He simply smiles.

"Well, my name is Chris and the girl here is my little sister, Anna. Oh and there's her cat Cheese" said Chris, introducing himself, as well as Anna & Cheese the Cat to Sonic.

"Hi, Sonic! It's nice to meet you. We are going to play so much!" said Anna, as she is smiling and giggling.

Sonic's POV

Wow. I end up passed out in an apartment and the next things I see are a kid, who looks no older than 13, who acts as if he has heard of me before he even met me and then his sister who resembles and acts just like Cream. Somehow, they found me bleeding and decided to treat me, like they can be doctors or something.

Ugh. One painful reminder. I wonder where they all are, as they probably ended up here too. Tails must have been distraught to see me missing. Amy must have been worried sick without me, and same goes for Cream. Knuckles may be an anti-social guy and act as if he doesn't care about me sometimes, but I know deep down he misses me too.

I want to go off to actually find my friends, but I don't know where they are. I don't even know where Shadow is, or even Rouge. Even Eggman who I haven't seen since the incident. Are they here too?

I am pretty much convinced I am dreaming the whole thing.

I pinch my nose.

"Ow! Crap, I am not dreaming. I'm really here in this weird world." I said

Chris's POV

I am still shocked to see literally Sonic the Hedgehog, a world famous video game/cartoon character, who really isn't supposed to exist, end up in this world. This miserable world that we live in.

I am convinced I am dreaming this. I go to pinch my nose.

"Ow! Wake up." I said, expecting to wake up in my bed. It did nothing and I am still here

It's not a dream at all. I go to touch Sonic to make sure I am not crazy. I am not even hallucinating. I can touch, feel and even smell him!

I am actually glad we found him. Now, I can actually have someone besides my sister and grandpa in my life, one who cares about me. An actual friend.

No POV

"I know who you are, Sonic. You are a famous character from video games, even cartoons and comics. I used to idolize you growing up and I still do. You were always my hero. I had so many Sonic games, which I got as presents, every single Christmas and birthday that came by. I still do have them to this day.

You see. I never had any friends in my life. I had to grow up in a poor family. The first years of my life. My family, back when me & Anna used to still live with my parents and my brother, were always mocked for being poor. Nobody wanted to be friends with me because I was a poor kid. Johnny, my brother, got me into Sonic. He would always try his hardest to get me Sonic games for Christmas and my birthday. Grandma often pitched in for Johnny to get me the Sonic games whenever he ran out of money. When I was playing your games, I began to see you as my hero. Sonic, you are the one that has been getting through my depression and unfortunate environment all my life, especially after Johnny moved farther away to be with his wife in Virginia.

My parents do care but after Anna was born, they barely had any time for us because they have gone far away to work to make ends meet to make sure we no longer are poor. Me and Anna had to move in with Grandpa in his dirty apartment in Harlem." said Chris, explaining it all

Sonic is shedding tears. His heart is broken for the boy. He can tell that Chris needed someone in his life as a great friend. He gets himself up, his bruise starting to go away. He grabs to hug him.

"I am sorry that you had to go through all of that, Chris." said Sonic, as he keeps hugging Chris

"Eh. Whatever. I am happy that you are actually alive and real. I haven't been this happy in a long time. I can actually use a friend, and that friend should be you." said Chris, "So what do you say? Friends?"

"Chris, as far as I am concerned, you are basically already my friend. You don't need to ask me that." said Sonic.

Chris hugs Sonic back. The two embrace in a hug.

Anna coos and Cheese meows. They are both happy to see that Chris finally made a good friend, even if it's a strange humanoid, blue hedgehog.

Chris and Sonic stop hugging.

Later, around twelve o'clock, Chris and Sonic are sitting with Anna and Cheese, flipping through the channels on television.

Suddenly, a news broadcast popped up. On the Eyewitness News, Scarlet Garcia, reports the story.

"We interrupt this program with a special news report. Just last night, an alien hedgehog ended up in our world. The speed demon was able to outrun even a police car. The city got puzzled."

This speed demon appears to be the world-famous video game mascot, Sonic The Hedgehog. Here are people's thoughts about what was happening.

A police officer, Rick, came on and said

"This seemingly cartoon hedgehog is about this big, blue and it looks very freaky. It's really bizarre how he just came up like that out of nowhere."

Other people spoke.

"I was running around outside, getting a workout when I saw what appeared to be Sonic run past me. It was shocking to say the least. I could have sworn I was hallucinating.." a female jogger had said.

"I was walking outside, delivering the pizzas from door to door when I saw the blue hedgehog Sonic speed pass by. He went SSWWOSSSSSHH and just disappeared." a pizza man said

"This Sonic the Hedgehog should not even have been this fast or even exist for that matter, as he is a character from a video game that would not exist in real life. Even the cheetah, which is believed to be the fastest animal on earth, can not outrun a police car. It is probably some sort of simulation or something." said an animal doctor.

Chris turns the TV off.

"I hate the media…" Chris said, muttering under his breath.

Suddenly, Chris's eccentric grandfather, Chuck, comes into the living room.

"Hey, kids. I was wondering where you two went off to. A hedgehog, who looks like the character of your favorite video game, Sonic, just outran a police car last night. It made world news." said Chuck

"Ah huh." said Chris

Anna nods. Both she and Chris are yessing their grandpa to death.

He notices Sonic and gets a screwdriver. The old man mistakes Sonic for a machine.

"Ow, what are you doing?! Get off of me, creep!" yelled Sonic

"Grandpa! He is not a machine!" yelled Anna

"Yeah, he's really a hedgehog named Sonic. He's THE Sonic the Hedgehog from the games. Please. You are scaring him to death!" yelled out Chris

Grandpa Chuck looks at his grandkids and Sonic. He realizes his mistake and takes the screwdriver out of Sonic.

"Well, I'm sorry. I am just getting old. I apologize." he said

"Hehe. It's alright." said Sonic

Later, Sonic and Chris decided to head out of the apartment to go out to eat for lunch. Chuck gave Chris plenty of money to pay for the food. Sonic and Chris wave goodbye to Chuck, Anna and Cheese as they exit the apartment door.

Sonic and Chris walk for a few minutes until they suddenly stumble into Chinatown.

"Woah! Chris! What is this place?! It looks so good!" said Sonic, sniffing at the smell of Chinese food.

"It's Chinatown. It is a town here in Manhattan where they adopt the customs from a country called China. There's Chinese food here to eat and stuff like that." said Chris

"This is so cool! Hey, can we eat at a restaurant there? I am curious to see how the food is here?" said Sonic, as he asks.

"Sure." said Chris, with a smile, "You are going to love the Chinese food here."

Sonic and Chris go into a Chinese restaurant. Chris ordered a platter of chicken, egg roll and fried rice. He ordered the same for Sonic.

A few minutes later, the food is cooked. Chris pays for the food, and takes the food in the bag to sit down.

Both Sonic and Chris are starting to eat their food.

"Hey Sonic, use these! They are called 'Chopsticks'. You pick up your food with them." said Chris

Sonic watches Chris pick his food up with the chopsticks to eat so Sonic does the same.

Both boys begin to eat their lunch. Sonic takes a bite of the rice.

"Mmm. This food is so good." said Sonic,

"Right?!" said Chris, agreeing with him

Sonic and Chris have a conversation.

"I don't know where any of my friends are." said Sonic, "Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Shadow, Rouge and everyone else. I don't see them here, and they are probably somewhere else, all over the place in whatever this whole entire world is. I am very much depressed about it and I feel like it's my fault I ended up here."

"I see. So that's why you got a little sad when you saw my sister. She must have reminded you of Cream huh?" asked Chris

"Correct. She almost looks like her except that she's a little taller and is human. Anna is literally her clone! That makes me sad." said Sonic, "Poor little Cream. I can only hope she is with someone else who can take care of her."

Chris feels bad.

"Don't worry, Sonic. Someday you will find them." said Chris,

"Thank you. I can only hope so." said Sonic, "Also, in fact, I don't even see Eggman in this world at all. I haven't seen him since he killed the little critters back in my world and I defeated him in rage, also destroying his two robot lackeys."

"I see." said Chris,

Sonic decides to ask Chris a question.

"Don't you have any friends? I mean besides Anna, Cheese, and your grandpa of course?" asked Sonic

"Sadly no. I am made fun of and bullied in school even to this day, because my clothes are often dirty, due to the fact that I grew up the first 12 years of my life in a poor household. I am lucky that Grandpa decides to clean my clothes often and tries to take care of me and Anna. Otherwise, I don't know what I would do." said Chris,

Sonic tears up. He sniffs.

"I am sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how much it sucks not to have any friends at all." said Sonic,

"Yeah. In fact, you are the first actual friend I have made since Johnny moved away, and my parents left us to Grandpa in Harlem." said Chris, "I dare say that we are best friends. You are already my best friend, Sonic, and I will never replace you."

Sonic and Chris stand up, as they are finished with their food.

Chris looks at Sonic. Sonic looks back at Chris. They suddenly realize that they need to be there for each other.

Chris wraps Sonic into a hug. Sonic hugs Chris back. Sonic and Chris are hugging each other.

"Don't ever leave me, Sonic.." said Chris,

"I won't. Don't worry. I am not going anywhere, not for a while anyways." said Sonic

*The Robo Company*

*Washington DC- 2:30 PM*

The scientists inside the building of The Robo Company are on computers, doing more research on Sonic, the new blue alien creature that just arrived in the world.

The scientists found something. A video footage of the SEGA video game mascot outrunning the police car. They are shocked.

"No way! Holy crap. This thing is so fast. Faster than any of us!"

"This must be some sort of hallucination! There's no way any living organism can run like that!"

"The question is how is it that a video game character came to this world, and he is suddenly as fast as he was in the games when I was a child?!"

Suddenly, a half-bald man (with the hair he has left in the back of his head) with a brown bushy mustache, blue eyes, a slightly chubby body, black sunglasses, black boots, black suit, white shirt and red tie comes inside the laboratory.

This is Ivo Robotnik, the ring leader behind this. He is Doctor Eggman's other, real world counterpart. He has taken interest in this new discovery.

"So. What have you found out about this strange new creature?" asked Robotnik

"Well, come take a look at this footage." said one of the scientists.

Robotnik sees the new footage. He scratches his chin.

"Hmm..interesting." said Robotnik, "I want the creature, as soon as possible. The government counts on us to get that creature and perform tests on him."

The large mega corporation is tied with the United States government. The government wants to capture Sonic so they can perform tests on him and do all of that horrible stuff to him because he's suspected of being a harmful experiment.

Robotnik has taken an interest in Sonic, whom he had never heard of.

However, he is ready to perform experiments on the mutant hedgehog.

Robotnik smirks and lets out a chuckle.
