Chapter 4: Wrath of Robotnik

*The Robo Company

*Washington DC*

Ivo Robotnik smirks, as he sits nice and comfortable in his chair.

"So. It's going according to plan" Robotnik said, rubbing his hands together,

He already has had his crew set up government capsules in Area 59. The government had entrusted Robotnik & his crew to lead this whole operation to test on Sonic and the gang. They believe that Sonic and the gang are threats that would destroy the entire world.

He looks over at his crew. The team of scientists working alongside him. All of them are employed by the U.S government.

"Um, Mister Robotnik." blurted one female scientist

Robotnik just glares at her. His expression changes to a serious one.

"Yes?" asked Robotnik, "Go on, go on."

"Are we even sure that Sonic the Hedgehog and the ones who came along with him are threats to begin with? For all we know, they might be innocent and are on our side." she said

Robotnik growls.

"Shut up! Just SHUT UP!" yelled Robotnik, "We don't need that talk in here, woman!"

The female scientist shakes. She is scared of Robotnik.

Robotnik lets out a grin.

"Sonic will be history, along with anyone of his kind. They must be eradicated as they are a threat to society." said Robotnik

Robotnik suddenly gets a call on his cell phone.

It's from the President of the United States.

Robotnik answers it.

"Hello, Mr. President." said Robotnik, "What specifically are you calling me for?"

The president spoke on the phone.

"Mr. Robotnik. I just want to confirm. Is the plan going along well?" asked the president, on the phone

"Yes, it is." Robotnik said, with a smirk, "So far, so good."

"That's perfect. Our military already knows where Sonic and the gang are. We are planning on sending our armed forces to all of them and then we will bring them back to the company as soon as possible. Then, we can test them, and then if they are truly a threat, our plan will succeed." said the president, on the phone

"Excellent." Robotnik said

A grin is plastered on Robotnik's face.

He hangs up the phone.

He directs his attention to his team of scientists.

"Alright, you all! Open the capsules at ONCE!", yelled out Robotnik

They all nod

A male scientist gives out a salute

"Roger!", the male scientist said

The scientists open the capsules where Sonic and the others are going to be inserted once they are experimented on.

Robotnik grins

Manhattan, New York

Sonic, Shadow, Chris and Anna are walking all over the Grand Central Terminal.

"Shadow. It's great to have you along. We need the help we can get.", said Sonic

Shadow has a grim expression as he crosses his arms.

"Hmph!", said Shadow, "Don't think I am helping you to be nice and save your behinds. I am only helping because we'll all be screwed, and I still don't like your reckless attitude."

Sonic groans.

"Faker…" muttered Sonic

Shadow gets angry and lands a punch to Sonic, knocking him down on the floor.

"This whole thing was your fault in the first place! We got sent here, because of YOU! I am here to help fix YOUR mistake!", yelled Shadow

Sonic gets up off the ground.

"I am sorry but did I not try to destroy the portal? How can it be my fault? I had no way of knowing it would suck us in here in the first place!", exclaimed Sonic

Shadow sighs.

"Whatever.", said Shadow, "It's just that thanks to you, we are in danger of being screwed."

"I heard that!", yelled Sonic

Anna facepalms.

"Ugh. Shadow is such a grump.", said Anna

"Sonic! Shadow! Stop fighting!", yelled Chris

Sonic and Shadow both look at Chris.

They both sigh.

"You're right. No matter who caused us to get sent here, finding my friends and stopping whoever is going to trap us is more important.", said Sonic

Shadow nods, in agreement with Sonic

Virginia

Johnny's POV

Hello. My name is Johnny Thorndyke. I live in a nice, comfortable but small house in Virginia with my wife Mara.

I have dark, black hair (it used to be red but I dyed it years ago due to depression) and pale skin. Right now, I am wearing a T-shirt of my favorite band Linkin Park, and a gray jacket.

I used to live with my grandpa, my younger brother, Chris and my little sister Anna, but when I was able to make enough money at my previous job, I decided to move with my wife back to her old place because I wanted to get out of the dump of an apartment as soon as possible.

Seriously? Grandpa Chuck was actually a genius scientist and yet all he can afford is a crummy, dirty apartment? Come on.

Anyways. I see Mara walking towards me, with a small little cub in her arms. He has some bruises on his body and two tails.

The cub is actually Tails. Miles "Tails" Prower is my favorite character from the Sonic series (the franchise that me and Chris have been a fan of) so I was excited when I found out he was real. Me and Tails became close friends. Mara adores the little guy so much too. He has only been with us for two days and already she has fallen in love with him (not romantically but you get the idea).

Now, I must tell you about her. My wife, Mara, is one of the most beautiful women to have ever walked the earth. She is an African American lady with long black hair. She has nice glowing gray lip gloss. She is wearing a white skirt, an orange jacket, and a grey dress shirt. In terms of personality, she is sweet and down to earth but she can be very shy. I am lucky and happy that I got to marry her instead of that piece of garbage, long nosed man, Sev. I treat her better than he ever would.

We are planning on having a kid one day but I don't know if I want to rush it.

Anyways, I see Tails, as he begins to shed some tears.

"Johnny..I tried to get him to talk to me about what happened but he wouldn't answer," Mara said.

I pick him up from Mara. Mara is currently treating Tails, by putting medicine on his wounds.

Tails clenches his fists and holds his hands, while letting out tears of sadness.

"Tell me, Tails. What's wrong? Were you able to find Sonic?", I asked

"No. I couldn't. I was able to find men dressed in these suits though. It looked like they were militia. They said they were coming to take me away because I was a threat to humanity. I was looking all over here for Sonic when I saw them. They were creepy and horrifying. I fought them off the best I could, but then…they just…they just-"

"What Tails? What did they do to you?!" I yelled

"One of them stuck a needle in me but I flinched. I broke the needle in health out of rage, and then they decided that I was uncontrollable so they restrained me inside a pod with no air to breath. I got these few bruises from trying to fight them back. I don't care, I just want Sonic back. I want all my friends back. Apparently, that is too much to ask.", said Tails, "Had your wife not jumped on the plane to save me, I would have been screwed."

(NO POV)

Johnny is enraged

"That's disgusting! The government should have left you alone! It's not fair that they would not only take you away but torture you, all because you look different from the rest of us! You do not deserve this fate and I'll make sure they'll pay for what they have done!" Johnny yelled, "Don't worry, Tails. We'll help you find Sonic and your other friends, then make sure the government pays for what they are doing! We're on your side!"

Tails cracks a smile.

"T-thank you so much.", Tails said

"Anything that I would do for a friend.", said Johnny

Tails shudders.

"They're still after me.", said Tails

"I know. Don't worry, I'll handle them.", said Johnny

Johnny's POV

A few minutes went by. Thanks to Mara, Tails's bruises are starting to clear up. By the way, Mara is a nurse so she knows how to take care of people, even if they are anthropomorphic creatures.

I have not seen my brother, my grandpa nor my sister in like forever. Maybe me and Mara should visit them at some point. I can only hope but to wonder what Chris is doing now and them. Perhaps he may have Sonic with him too? Who knows.

I then spot Tails getting up from my arms and picking up his tracker device to locate where Sonic could be.

Manhattan

12:30 PM

Sonic, Shadow, Chris and Anna get out of Grand Central Terminal. They walk back around the city.

Sonic scratches his quills.

"We have been walking all over the city for 3 hours and we can't find any signs of my other friends.", said Sonic, "Ugh. It looks like we will never find them here."

Shadow pats Sonic on the shoulder.

"Don't worry. I am sure they are all around.", said Shadow

"Yeah. If we were able to find Shadow, then we can find everyone else.", said Anna

Chris nods.

"Thanks guys. We must never give up.", said Sonic

After a few more hours of searching, they could not get anywhere.

"Ugh. We tried looking all over the city for your friends, Sonic, and they are not anywhere to be found.", said Chris

Sonic doesn't seem phased.

"This country is big right? So, they can be anywhere even if it's not New York.", said Sonic

"He's right ya know.", said Shadow

Chris sighs.

"I guess you're right, Sonic.", said Chris.

"Let's not give up. Although we should probably get some lunch.", said Anna

"Agreed. I am getting hungry anyways.", said Sonic

The four of them begin walking through the streets.

Robotnik suddenly appears. He takes a peak at Sonic, Shadow, Chris and Anna.

"Soon, they will face our wrath.", he said, with a smirk on his face

(Time Skip)

After they all got a bite to eat at the local McDonald's, the four head back to Chris's apartment in Harlem.

Chris's Apartment Harlem, NY

"Ready to meet grandpa and explore this apartment?", asked Chris

Shadow crosses his arms, with a serious look on his face.

"Hmph.", he muttered out

Chris and Anna cock their eyebrows at that.

"Shadow just wants to be by himself when he is not hanging out with Rouge and Omega. You know how he is.", said Sonic

Chris opens the door to the apartment with his keys. Sonic, Chris and Anna all go inside while Shadow stays outside the house.

Shadow then peaks into the garage which it's doors are open.

Shadow sighs and thinks to himself.

Unknown to him however, Chuck Thorndyke is there, working on some sort of invention.

Suddenly, Chuck is getting distracted by the sight of a black hedgehog. But at first, he thinks it's Sonic.

He looks at the hedgehog with his eyes.

"Sonic, what are you doing in my garage?" asked Chuck, curiously

"Look. I am not Sonic. Just kindly back off and go back to whatever it is you are doing." said Shadow

"Oh. Sorry. I thought you were Sonic." said Chuck

"Yeah. I get that a lot. The name's Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog." said Shadow,

"I'm Chuck. Chris's grandfather. If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask me." said Chuck

Shadow nods.

Shadow takes a deep breath

Back in Virginia

Johnny's house

Tails curls up next to Johnny and Mara.

"I hope that Sonic is safe. Wherever he is. I do not want anything terrible to happen to my brother." said Tails

Johnny pats Tails on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, Tails. Sonic will be fine. If there is anything we know about that speedster, he always makes out of things alive. Trust me." said Johnny

Tails sighs.

"I hope your right, Johnny. I am just worried about him." said Tails

On the streets of Manhattan

Doctor Eggman, Sonic's arch-nemesis wakes up in the real world, after being passed out on the ground after his defeat against Sonic. Eggman has scars and bruises all over, with his red jacket ripped up open showing a bit of his skin.

Eggman is left confused. He scratches his head.

"Huh? What is this?" asked Eggman

The evil mad scientist sighs.

Eggman then limps over to the side of the street where he lays on a building.

Suddenly, a group of three guys come over to Eggman, believing him to be a homeless guy. They look as if they are a part of a little club.

One guy throws a soda bottle on Eggman's head, causing him to get a bump.

"OW! What was THAT FOR?!" Eggman yelled

The guys laugh at Eggman.

"This city is no place for bums like you, so GET OUT OLD MAN or we'll deal with you!" yelled the leader of the club.

Eggman growls.

"Why don't you THREE GET LOST and STOP BOTHERING A GENIUS like MYSELF!" yelled Eggman

The guys shiver in fear of Eggman, and they run off into the distance.

Eggman smirks.

"Once I find you again, Sonic the Hedgehog, I will make you pay for what you had done to my good name."

Chris's Apartment in Harlem, 7:00 PM

Sonic, Shadow, Chris, Anna, their cat Cheese and Grandpa Chuck are watching television. It is of an NHL game, as apparently Chris is a fan of Hockey.

Suddenly, a news broadcast pops up with Scarlett Garcia.

"We are interrupting this program for a special eyewitness news report live from Washington DC. Apparently, Area 59 has found out that some more like that of Sonic were located here and have captured them for tests. We speculate that these might be android robots meant to resemble the video game characters."

The report shows an image of Cream the Rabbit holding her chao Cheese, crying to Sonic for help.

"SONIC! PLEASE! Come! HELP US!" yelled out Cream

"Chao! Chao!" cried out Cheese the Chao

"They could be anywhere so if you happen to see suspicious characters running around, please call this number of the US military." She said

The number of the military in Washington DC is displayed on camera.

Grandpa Chuck then walks out of the room to work on some research.

Sonic gets angry and turns into Dark Sonic.

"Those pieces of filth!" yelled Dark Sonic, "We must go soon and find them quick before it's too late!"

Chris, Anna, their cat Cheese look at Sonic in fear.

"S-Sonic.", said Anna, "Can you please stop going insane? I get this is horrible but it's not making the situation better…" said Anna, with a fearful look on her face.

Shadow looks away from Dark Sonic, crossing his arms.

"Meow…" said Cheese the cat, with a fearful look on his face.

"Y-yeah." said Chris, scared for Sonic

Dark Sonic then turns back to normal.

Sonic sighs.

"I am sorry." He said

Shadow then punches Sonic in the chest.

"OW! Don't do that again, Shadow." said Sonic

"You scared us…I thought you were going to kill them.." said Shadow.

"Alright. I apologize. It's just that I am pissed that this is happening." said Sonic

"Yeah. It's disgusting. We better hurry." said Shadow

Virginia

"Johnny, Mara. I know where Sonic is." said Tails, "He's apparently in this place called Harlem, New York."

Johnny's eyes open.

"Wow. That's where my brother and sister live." said Johnny, "He could be with them."

"Maybe it'll give us a valid excuse to go ahead and visit them." said Mara

"Yeah, but the main objective is to help Tails find Sonic." said Johnny

"Right." said Mara

Johnny, Mara and Tails go outside of the house. Johnny locks the door to his house with his key.

Tails gets his plane, the X-Tornado, ready to fly off.

Tails hops in the front seat.

"Hey. Come and ride in my plane. Don't be afraid. It's safe." said Tails

Johnny and Mara are a bit hesitant at first. They get nervous.

"No need to be so nervous guys. It's safe and you won't get hurt." said Tails, with a reassuring smile

Johnny sighs

"Alright, we trust you." said Johnny

Mara nods, with a smile on her face

Both Johnny and Mara hop on the second seat on the plane. Apparently, Tails modified the plane a bit so the second seat would occupy at least two people.

Tails smirks.

The plane then is ready to fly off.

Eventually, the X-Tornado leaves the front yard grass, and flies off into the sky.

"I am on my way, Sonic. We'll see each other again in no time. I just hope you're okay." thought Tails
