"Yensid!" Sarah screamed as she rushed into the cell. He looked to be out of it, bruised and unwell. His head tipped downwards with his giant bald spot facing the door. His arms were chained to the wall, like a v shape above his head.
Sarah dashed over and kneeled in front of him. "Yensid, Yensid can you hear me?" She asked, placing a hand on his shoulder gently shaking him. Memories flooded back to her, remembering the night it all happened.
(3 months earlier.)
Sarah and Yensid stood in the middle of the street in front of It's A Small World. Yensid stood there tossing a variation of spell balls at Sarah. Each one she deflected with her lightsaber. Her skills had really improved since she moved back to the kingdom.
Another spell ball came at her, which she quickly deflected sending right back to Yensid. He stepped out of the way as it crashed into the ground, leaving behind a scorch mark.
"I think that's enough for today." Yensid said as he straightened his hat.
Sarah deactivated her lightsaber and walked over to the old wizard.
"Your skills have improved immensely."
"All thanks to your teachings, along with Luke and Rays help." Sarah said with a smile. She then let out a small yawn, the moon was already starting to set and she was pretty tired.
"I think it's time we head back." Yensid spoke, as he led the way back to the castle.
"Great idea." Sarah said as she followed.
"And tomorrow will start off with a lecture" Yensid said as they made their way towards the Matterhorn.
Sarah rolled her eyes, there was one thing she hated and it was her lectures. Having to learn alone, in a room with lectures and quizzes was just not fun for her. Sometimes she wished she could go back and be with Jack, Jess, and Tess in their old school. But she knew her place was here in Disneyland.
They continued to walk in silence, passing storybook canal boats and the tea cups. But as they got closer to the Matterhorn, Sarah got an uneasy feeling. When they were next to the Matterhorn Sarah stopped. Her master took a few steps forward before he noticed she stopped following. He turned and gave her a questionable look.
"Master, something's not right." Sarah said, looking around as if someone was following them.
"What do you mean my young apprentice?" He asked, looking around. There was nothing he could see. The only thing that could be heard was the rustling of leaves.
But Sarah knew that was not the case. She breathed as she focused on the world around her. She looked all around but saw no one, until she looked behind her master and- "Look out!" Sarah shouted, force pushing Yensid out of the way of an oncoming fireball. He fell to the ground not far from where he stood. Sarah watched as it crashed into the ground, right where yensids was standing.
Yensid shook his head, trying to gain a sense of the situation. Sarah already had, and gripped her lightsaber as she looked right at her arch nemesis, Maleficent.
"You stupid girl, look what you've done!" She shouted at sarah.
"Saved a friend, that's what!" She shouted back, taking her lightsaber off her belt and ignited it.
"Trying to be sneaky Mal." Yensid asked as he stood, "You know you can't do that around my apprentice."
"Zip it old man, wail it would have been nice to dispose of you, you aren't what I'm after." She took a step forward and Yensid got between Sarah and Maleficent.
"You stay away from her."
Sarah came to his side "Master, I can take her, she doesn't stand a chance against us. Besides, she is alone this time."
Maleficent just chuckled "you honestly think I would come alone."
Yensid looked at Sarah but she gave him the same look.
"Come out boys!" Maleficent shouted. Out of no ware a full deck of cards separated themselves out, surrounding the trio.
"Well, nice to see the queen of hearts does have a heart to share. Just wish it wasnt with a slimy old evil fairy." Yensid looked over his shoulder at Sarh as if to tell her to shut up,
Mal scoffed and looked Sarah dead in the eyes before pointing to her "Get me the girl, alive!"
The guard charged at them with their respective suit spears in hand. Yensid created a spell in his hand that managed to blow some of the cards off their feet. Sarah did the same with the force and the two took off in two different directions. Sarah rushed through a break in between Alice in wonderland and the tea cups. Yensid took the other path, cutting between the storybook canal and tea cups. Yensid formed another spell in his hands creating a beam of light on Sarah's side that blinded the first few cards that followed her, causing them to topple over, tripping the rest that followed.
Yensid on the other hand, wasn't really looking out for himself. He knew that he wasn't as major of a target as his apprentice. If he could just get them to a safe location, or even find genie to get them out of here then maybe-
"Master, look out!" Sarah shouted as they began coming back together as the path merged.
Yensid turned his head but it was too late. Maleficent had been following him, and managed to create a fireball knocking his hat off. It blew in the wind and landed in the middle of the path. Sarah being the closest, did a somersault to grab his hat quickly. She turned to looked at her master who was now surrounded by card guards.
"Master!" She called and took a few stops forward before she found spears pointed at her face. She immediately held up her lightsaber in defense.
"Go, now!" Yensid yelled at her "take the hat and run!"
"But-" she spun as one of the cards tried to grabed. She was now souronded by them in a closed circle. She wouldn't be able to avoid them for long, at least not alone. But she couldn't just leave Yensid in the hands of the villains, right?
"They can't have you or the hat sarah."
Sarah raised her lightsaber as another card attacked with his spear. She sliced it in two.
"Go!" He screamed so loud that her ears rang. That was for sure an order. With no other choice, Sarah force pushed some cards aside and ran.
A groaning noise soon brought her back to reality. She remembered where she was, with her master in the dark cold cell. Yensid has tilted his head just slightly. She could see his eyes, he looked so weak.
"Sarah?" His voice whispered in pain.
"Oh master, you're alive." She placed a hand on his shoulder.
"How did you-"
"I'll explain later, but first-" she took out her lightsaber and sliced his chains. His arms came crashing down to his sides. His head recoiled into his chest once again.
She was worried, there was no way he could walk out in this condition. She also had no idea where Genie or Hercules were. There was only one thing she could really do, force heal him. Using her powers she reached deep within herself to heal him. She had only done this a few times. It was usually small things like Insects or a paper cut, never something like this. This was a new challenge that she would need to do quickly. But the more she pushed, the weaker she felt. Yet she could tell there was a change in Yensid's own strength. He seemed to be getting healthier and stronger. She continued until she could no longer, resulting in her collapsing on the floor.
Yensid, being much more aware of the situation, looked at his young apprentice. He gasped when he fully noticed she was sprawled out on the floor.
"Sarah!" He shouted, gripping the girl's shoulder and gently shaking her. She didn't wake. "Oh Sarah, what did you do?" He asked with concern.
Genie and Hercules then appeared in the doorway. They both gasped, not at Sarah's sleeping body, but the wizard that has been missing for three months.
Yensid looked up at them. "Help me with her!"
They both rushed over. Hercules lifted Sarah bridle style, while Genie helped Yensid to his feet.
"How are we getting out of here?" Yensid asked.
"You're looking at him." Genie said in a sarcastic tone. No one was pleased.
"I wish us back to the castle!" Hercules said quickly.
Genie named his finger and the four were teleported out of the dungeon and back to the castle. They teleported to the same room Amy, Jack, and Jess did, the living room. Inside were the same characters, Merlin, Arthur, Meg, Philip, and Aurora. When they arrived in the room, gasps came from every direction.
"Yensid, you're alive!" Merlin said with glee as he stood.
"Not now Merlin, where's Rapunzel and baymax?" He spoke with urgency.
"Is something wrong?" Meg asked "is one of you hurt?"
He stepped aside realizing they couldn't see what happend. When they saw Sarah's state they gasped again.
"Oh goodness!" Aurora stated.
"Get her to her room!" Merlin said as they all stood.
"I'll go get baymax and rapunzel!" Aurther said.
The group nodded and Hercules, followed by Yensid, who was followed by everyone else, walked down the hall. They passed by the small sitting room in which Amy, Jack, and Jess were sitting in. They could hear the memers outside as the group rushed by. They turned to see Merlin holding his hat as he passed the door in a hurry. Curious, they all got up and followed. They walked further down the hall, up a flight of stairs, and further down another hallway before reaching a small room. The trio noticed that Hercules and Yensid both entered the room but everyone else stayed. They kindly pushed past everyone so they could see.
The room was a decent size, maybe 12 feet wide and 18 feet long. There were two twin sized beds each with a wardrobe on opposite sides of the room. On the left side of the room, Hercules layed Sarah down on the bed while Yensid stood to the side.
"Sarah!" Amy shouted as she rushed into the room. Jack and Jess stood in the doorway, gasping at the sight of their friend. Was she dead? Is she seriously hurt? Or was this some Jedi thing? Amy reached for her sister but Hercules held her back.
"Easy kid, easy." He spoke calmly.
"My sister! What happened? What happened to my sister?!" She shouted, tears rolling down her face.
"Shill be alright, we've got healers on our side. Arthur just went-" he didn't finish his sentences because Arthur came over shouting.
"I've got them!" He stated as Rapunzel and Baymax both came into the already small room, making it very crowded.
"I think it's best if you both leave." Yensid gestured to Hercules and Amy. Hercules noded and guided Amy towards the exit of the room.
"No I can't leave my sister, please let me stay!" Amy pleaded, but her words were no use. Once out of the room Hercules shut the door.
"Hercules what happened?" Jess asked.
"Don't know, one moment we were fight pirates. Next we find master Yensid kneeling next to Sarah." The two exchanged a worried look. "She's fine, just unconscious- I think."
Amy's mind flooded with thought. She wasn't sure what to say or think. Would her sister survive? Was that the last time she would ever talk to her sister?
"Maybe it's best you three go back and sit down. I'll get you some more coco." Aurora gestured for the three to go back to the sitting room.
"But I can't-" words were stuck in Amy's throat. She choked before letting her emotions get the better of her and she broke down. She crumpled to her knees and moved her face to her plans. She had just gotten her sister back, and now she could possibly lose her for good.
"Amy, Sarah's going to be just fine, trust me." Jack said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. He gave her a smile "she made it through many things, even death, shill make it through this."
"Death?!" Amy cried out in surprise and horror. She looked around shouting "She's a kid, why is she going through all this?!"
"She is, and so are we. We escape the villains once, and Sarah has hundreds of times. We all had our share of scrapes and bruises but if someone can make it out alive, it's Sarah." Jess stated. "Come on, will do something to get your mind off of this." She reached out her hand and Amy hesitantly took it. The trio then began to walk off but Amy couldn't help but steal one more look and the door. She mumbled "be safe sister." And followed the others back downstairs.
Back in Sarah's room Baymax took a scan of Sarah's body "Vitals are all stable, there seems to be no sign of injury." He stated in his robotic voice.
"Then why is she out? All she did was heal me." He sat on the bed, folding his arms.
"Healing takes a lot of energy Yensid, I know I've passed out a few times by saving people in the kingdom." Rapunzel stated. "She's also working on healing, she's only worked on small creatures like insects, nothing like a human."
Yensid sighed. "You're right, she is still working on this skill. I just hope that her body turns itself around and she-" he was cut off by a small cough coming from Sarah's body. They all turn to see her move her hand to her mouth and cough. Her eyes squirted before faintly opening.
"What happened?" She asked weakly. She tried to sit up but her body collapsed on itself.
"Easy Sarah, you're still too weak to move right now." Rapunzle responded by placing a hand on hers.
Sarah turned her head to the voice "rapunzel?" She asked as her eyes began adjusting to the light. Slowly her feelings and thoughts began coming back to her. She then began remembering everything that had happened. She flipped her hand and squeezed Rapunzels. "Jack,Jess, Amy, Yensid, please tell me they're safe?"
"We all made it out safe, all thanks to you Sarah." Yensid spoke, getting off the bed and stepped closer to Sarah's vision.
Her jaw dropped slightly "yensid?"
"It is I, my young apprentice."
"Then eveyone made it out, the escape, it was a succe-" she cut herself off. Her face scrunched up as if she was a fool.
"Why is it?" Yensid raised a brow in question.
"The pen.." her voice trailed off. The pen, how could she forget the pen. It was right there in Maleficent's grasp, but she went for the lightsaber instead. there was no way she could go back now. But how would she tell her master, how could she tell him that she left it by mistake. Yet The last thing she needed right now was for her master to be furious with her for losing the pen. All she wanted was to see her friend and dear sister once again. "It's nothing. Just, can someone get my friend and sister? I need to see them with my own eyes."
"I'll go get them." Yensid said, taking his leave from the room.
Downstairs in the living room, Amy, Jess, and Jack all sat on the couch with Aurora and Hercules comforting them. They were sipping hot cocoa when Yensid came knocking on the doorframe. They all turned to look at him.
"Sarah, is she ok? Something happened didn't it? She died didn't she! Oh why did I-" she began to break down once again but Yensid interrupted her. "Sarah is perfectly fine. She is a little weak at the moment and the excitement of tonight was a little much for her to handle. Other than that, she will make a full recovery. In fact, she is requesting your presence."
The trio shared a glance with each other before getting up from the couch and making a dash for the door. Jack and Jess were the first to scamper off with Amy hot on their tail. However Yensid stopped her by resting a hand on her shoulder. She screeched to a stop, looking at the old wizard. They locked eyes with eachother for a moment before Amy spoke.
"Yes sir?" She asked.
"Sarah, she has mentioned Jack and Jess befor, but you, I'm afraid I know very little about. Tell me how you know Sarah?" Yensid questioned as if he were interrogating her.
Amy raids a brow "Sarah never mentioned me?"
"Only once or twice. Should I know who you are?"
Amy shrugged "I don't know, it's been a good 5 years since we last saw each other. I'm Sarah's sister, Amy."
"Sister, you say." Yensid let go and stroked his long gray beard. "Tell me Amy how did you get to the planet." He then brushed past Amy as if to say, let's walk and talk, as he headed out the door.
Amy followed and answered the man's questions. "Well I came to your planet two nights ago. I could feel the pull of my sister and wanted to investigate. But when I entered the planet's atmosphere, I crashed and then was attacked by stormtroopers. I was then meet with this green skins lady who Sarah calls maleficent, I don't, but Sarah saved me and now I'm here, in a place I think Sarah called "Disneyland?""
Yensid nodded as he folded his arms through his sleeves. "Allow me to explain. You are indeed in Disneyland, theme park to guests by day, and our home by night. But we weren't always here. One day a star fell across the sky landing smack dab in front of what we are currently in, sleeping beauty's castle. After the day, we characters came to life. Popping up after our show or movie is released and claiming the park for ourselves when guests leave. As for you and your sister, it's a mystery to us all as to why you're here. There are creative ways as to how characters show up, but they come from some sort of entertainment, not just out of the blue. There is a prophecy that states-" it was now that they reached Sarah's room. And Yensid wasn't really in the mood to tell the story of the great war. "But that is a story I shall share another time. For now, I think what Sarah needs is you." He gripped the door handle and opened it.
Inside the room Jack and Jess stood next to Sarah's bed. Rapunzel stood in the back, making sure the kids didn't get Sarah wound up as she needed her rest. Amy just stood there not really sure what to do. But Jess gestured for her to enter and come over to her sister. The two steps aside as she cautiously made her way over. Once there she knelt down so her and her sister could look at eachother.
They stared at each other for a minute in silence till Sarah lifted a hand to her sister's face. "It really is you!" She said with surprise and glee.
"Five long years we have waited, sister" Amy said as tears formed in both their eyes. "Five long years for this moment." She then leaned over the bed and wrapped her arms around her sister
"We should leave them," Rapunzel said as she showed the kids out. After waiting so long, Sarah and Amy were finally together once more.
