Kirby returned to his fellow comrade, who was waiting for him on the other side of the riverbank. Kirby dashed through the bridge, happily and cheerfully. There, Toon Link waved at the pink marshmallow, vastly approaching to reunite with his friend.

Toon Link gestured Kirby to enter the tunnel first, and he obliged by rushing inside. Toon Link went to his knees, and his stomach was touching the ground as he positioned his elbows in front of him to crawl.

Once the two have traversed through a small tunnel, Kirby reaches the hallway, peeks around, and glances back at the tunnel. Curious, he tilts his round, spherical body and blinks. A murmur escapes his small mouth.

Toon Link exited the tunnel, grinning at Kirby's round body of pink and extraordinary expression if he was following him. Of course, he wouldn't disappoint him. He went on his knees, straightening his body and dusted off bits of dirt clinging on his green tunic.

In act of surprise, Kirby climbed on to his back, grasping both of Toon Link's shoulders with stubs. He didn't pester to shrug him off—it was like a backpack, but round and attractive.

Despite his Master Sword and Hero's Shield being there, Kirby found a way to ignore it and piggyback the friend of his without consent. So Toon Link cradled his arms around Kirby feet upright. The two cute heroes went on a stroll around the mansion, seeking more hats for Kirby.

Toon Link and boost Kirby on his back encountered the main room of the first floor, where the insane, elegant, gold plated chandelier suspended above the ceiling. Several spiral staircases leading to second floor, third floor, the garden, cafeteria, entertainment room, training hall, and so on.

But this luxurious room that happened to be the main source of gathering was a mess. Confetti everywhere, crumbled papers, used party popper, and a splash of colorful liquids! The two gasped quietly because the alarming hazardous spills of probably paint or coloring.

Kirby expresses a shocking surprise to Toon Link. He whimpered close to his Hylian friend ear out of curiosity. But Toon Link knew exactly how this had happened. When the grand tournament returned and announced everyone was here, there was a huge party that took place two weeks ago.

He, the returning, and the new roster gathered here to cheer the mood of new establishment happening between the united worlds. Everyone gathered and partied, while Master and Crazy Hands vanished without a warm welcoming. If Kirby was curious about what caused of this catastrophe, where was he during the event?

Flashback at two weeks ago prior...

Everyone has returned as a reunion for all fighters of ages. The tribute of returning, newcomers, and veterans has gathered all in one room was hand-picked by no other than the game master, Master and Crazy Hands.

The Mario Bros, Mario is an excellent model of their new tournament taking place, along with Link, who are well known as hero of legendary historical records.

Inklings were having a blast, causing a mess and cheering for being selected as a roster.

Castlevania was a new entry to history, which amazes the way it revolved into accepting newcomers as a vampire slayer.

The diversity of franchises merges into one, which results in a party that the creators have developed. The collaboration of the new leaf begins.

The warriors were busy celebrating their new tournament happening in session, and they failed to realize the Master Hand courtesy and respect to greet everyone home. Only a few fighters noticed the amiss of missing gestures, and Kirby was one of them.

So Kirby didn't attend the party despite the playful friends he could receive hugs and kisses. He didn't like how it suddenly pardoned itself. He caught suspicious behavior when Kirby was chosen to return. All he wanted was to hug and cuddle inside Master Hand with love, but it completely ignore him.

The hands slipped away, hoping no one spotted its disappearance. Kirby followed where the hands floated off to, trailing outside at night. It flew across the field quietly and stealthily. Kirby curiosity intensified as he chased the Master and Crazy Hands.

But once he reached a voided space of desert and mountains where Greninja and the entire Pokémon battle against Mario and the others here as a new roster, the Hands vanished over the horizon. Kirby ran for hours, trailing its shadows, looking worried about its friend.

Kirby stopped his footing and gazed at the empty terrain, where it was left nothing but whispers from the wind. He glimpsed from the peak of the mountain...

And there was no sign of it.

The end of flashback.

Kirby expresses sorrowful glance at the scene from his end and wailed silently under his tiny mouth. He returned the mansion, and everyone left.

For days, he wanted to play, but no one was around. The new rosters temporarily greeted Kirby. After their introduction, they left him alone. Kirby didn't know why they left him without playing with him, but it hurt his sweet heart. He went back to his Popstar planet and played with his fellow comrades. That's when he was fond of hats when one of the Kirby roleplay like Mario.

Toon Link felt his heart ache a bit to feel his sadness. Something was definitely not right, and he wanted to help more than collecting hats. Toon Link nodded once. His face grew serious as he wanted to solve the situation at his hands.

Toon Link pulled Kirby close as he slightly launched Kirby upward to regain his stability. His cap tickled Kirby, and he giggled. The better yield is to find clues around the mansion, and typically, it was abundantly transparent that aiding Kirby with hats and playtime envelopes a good amount of hint so far.

So the two cute heroes sought hats by crossing through the debris aftermath of the party.

...

Kirby and Toon Link were scanning each outside dorm of their friends, making choices that possibly borrowed their belongings. He came across one particular dorm that he had in mind.

It was Ice Climbers Room, and it made Kirby really happy. It was his friend since the third tournament, and Kirby drummed the young hero shoulders in excitement. Toon Link recalled him having the twins' ability a parka outfit. Which is really cute. It reminded him of his journey in Hytopia to withstand the slippery ice floor.

The two approached the icy door, and Toon Link used his right knuckle to knock several times for their notice. He manuever his free hand to support Kirby again. He felt Kirby stubs lightly squeeze both his shoulders impatiently. He was really looking forward to meeting them again, including Toon Link.

Toon Link raised his brow. His round stubs without fingers managed to feel his gentle pressure on his shoulders? It's rather unusual, but Kirby is a very sweet friend, no matter the appearances.

It was dead silence after a minute of wait. Kirby and Toon Link exchanges glances, believing they're sleeping in or currently out. Their expression of wanders into determination to peek inside if they're not present.

They both smiled, and Toon Link used his right hand again to twist the knob and it opened. When it opened, there was a gust of icy winds hitting the young heroes into a welcoming perpetual sheer cold. Toon Link shut his eyes and squinted briefly due to a sudden climate change within the room. He and Kirby enter Popo and Nana's room.

They came across a whole new environment of warm and comfortable home from Kirby and hot summer Outset Island. Astonishingly, there was no place to call home or a dorm they'd expected. It was an entire ice mountain! The mountain was rigid and highly dangerous wind that it's nearly impossible to scale through without proper skill or equipment. The worst part is that Popo and Nana were nowhere to be seen.

Toon Link shivers, clenching his teeth tight, ejecting warm visible breaths, feeling the cold underneath his long sleeve. Although for Kirby, he was unfazed at the weather conditions. A teeny bit, he blinked.

The two glanced at the ice blue mountain. As second thought, maybe it's wise to skip the big mountain and recollect their thoughts of alternative solution.

Toon Link turned his body around to retreat back the hallway, but before he attempted, Kirby let out a soft moan of disappointment because he really looked excited to see his friend from the third tournament. Kirby knew it's risky for his friend, but perhaps Popo and Nana were somewhere else than their... mountain?

The two escape through the magical entrance leading to the mansion.

While they adjust themselves at room temperature, Kirby snuggled behind Toon Link's back, feeling gloomy. Perhaps he thought another friend to borrow their belongings. The young Hylian sensed his aura, finding another outfit would—

His eyes widened, gasped, and gaped his small mouth because he realized a better solution than finding the siblings. He had forgotten he traveled Hytoia and conquered Drablands with two more of himself.

A small castle of fashion! Toon Link remembered he got a Parka outfit as well! With additional outfits like Zelda, Goron, Cheerleader, Torrent, Tingle, Deity, and a wide selection, he could possibly think for Kirby.

The Hero of Winds sped off, carrying Kirby with him, leaving Kirby expressing confusion and a surprising look. He grasped his shoulders tightly and grumbled in shock, pulling him close to the point he melted into his back.

"Poooiiii—pooyyyyooo?" Kirby cried.

Toon Link took a sharp right turn towards the stairway, leading to the third floor. As he ascended the stairs on the red carpet, he was determined to put a smile on Kirby. The adrenaline warmed his entire body to dismiss the temperature change on the cold.

Toon Link reached the hallway, inspecting the surroundings. As predicted, it's pretty elegant and silent. He was slightly panting, but he began walking casually to regain his ability to calm himself.

Kirby whimpered closely to his ear, very curious and marveled on his friend idea. Toon Link reached to his dorm and gently put Kirby down.

Toon Link gestured the carpet, indicating to stay put and pointed to his room. He opened the door, and inside was a very pleasant sunshine glaring across some sort of island with residents familiar to his design. Toon Link vanished as the door closed.

Kirby sat on the carpet, fuzzy to the touch for his bottom. He examined the hallway and spotted shattered vases that are used for topiary around the mansion. He tilted his body, bemused of broken vases.

"Hhhhhaaaa..." Kirby blinked, staring at the vase.

He spotted beside his friend room was 'Wolf' labeled. He didn't understand what it meant, but it's a new door that wasn't there before. Kirby gaped his tiny mouth, assuming an old friend from the last tournament.

And he smiled. Another friend that returned!

He began dragging himself on the carpet. He was on four and crawled towards Wolf's room out of curiosity. It is some sort of the same door like ROB, but blue, white, and edgy.

Just before Kirby wanted to poke around, he felt a soft contact on his round body. He got up quickly, turning his round, pink body to see his friend, and it was Toon Link!

His left arm has an outfit similar to Ice Climbers folded, and Toon Link flopped out in front of Kirby to straighten the Parka.

And Kirby looked so happy.

"Hhhhaaaaaahhh!" Kirby happily cheered.

He immediately inhaled the outfit Toon Link had offered him, and he transformed his entire body like in the third tournament. He was baby blue covered with fluff around his adorable face. He widely smiled and hugged Toon Link.

The warm and literally a fuzzy feeling touched the Hero of Winds embrace, and he returned the favor. He had never seen Kirby so happy. Toon Link didn't mind sacrificing his Parka. He could visit Hytopia to craft another outfit.

Kirby nuzzle his face at Toon Link face cheek that it's too much for him. Toon Link chuckled. He couldn't help how sweet and kind Kirby expresses his thoughts with hugs.

Kirby got an Ice Cli—er... Toon Link Parka!

Eventually, Kirby stopped his motion and summoned a small hammer resembled Ice Climbers. Perhaps the mansion registered as Ice Climbers that it replicates a wooden hammer.

Kirby hopped on top of Toon Link head, looking delighted. His round body flattened his green cap in the process, and Toon Link scurried back to Kirby's room to store the outfit.

A/N–Toon Link came in clutch with that outfit. Les good, I love Triforce Heroes.
