Montpellier. Having met the little French girl Madeline, Gaulois and his crew decided to let that innocent French girl join in on their odyssey to Paris. They first went through the Triumphal Arch of Montpellier, then the Le Pavillon Populaire to admire photography and old photos shot back then. At the Place de la Comedie, our heroes were strolling through with the Phryges and the Olympic Flame carried by Madeline. Gorgious felt tired and started to feel hungry, grabbing the attention of our crew.
"Gosh, I am starving right now that I will never make it to Paris!" Gorgious exclaimed, "Can you guys find something for me to eat? I am starving!"
"Patience, Gorgious. We will find a place to chow down before we can continue our odyssey to Paris with the Olympic Flame when Madeline holds it." Etno assured him. The crew strolled through the Place de la Comedie, looking for food. There were markets and restaurants around that area, with people some foods that are not suited to the taste of others on their team. Etno then found a café next to a market that was filled with variety of choices, and they settled down with relative ease and chowed down to regain their energy.
After a hearty meal, they continued strolling until they noticed someone amazing a crowd. It was limbless creature in blonde, without any limbs at all. He wore a purple jacket with a white ring symbol. He was showing off his skills in street art, with him using all kinds of paint with airbrush cans. The crew including the Phryges were amazed by this so they came over to marvel at his artwork. His artwork consists of French-style paintings of locations in Paris in the colours of the French flag; - blue, white and red.
"Hello, Rayman!" Bud greeted. "Fancy meeting you here! Nice painting skills you have there!"
"Thanks a lot! Gotta tell Betilla that I did that painting!" Rayman thanked them, as he continued with his usual artwork. The crew then went through the Musee Fabre; and they enjoyed the paintings from France during the 1500s to 1800s. While they were admiring the paintings, Asterix noticed another hint of villainy in sight. A purple lizard-like monster named Randall was stealing a painting from the museum with his camouflaging abilities!
"After him!" Asterix shouted, "Stop that thief, by toutatis!" The crew then chased after the Randall and they ran through the locations in Montpellier. First, they scrambled through the outskirts of Marche Du Lez, and secondly chasing around the Eglise Saint-Roch. Thirdly, our heroes pursued the thief at the Jardin du Plantes, and Randall had so much fun camouflaging by blending in with the plants. Just when our heroes are almost giving up, a hand from nowhere grabbed Randall by the neck, with another floating hand pounding Randall's head. The hands then flung the painting to Asterix and sent Randall flying, leaving the crew confused. They have absolutely no idea who did that whatsoever.
At the Promenade of Peyrou, the crew were exhausted but were jovial nonetheless. They had to find head to their next destination to take a rest, and they knew that location. A boat that will take them to Corsica. "Come on, this way!" Gaulois called, sensing the direction where the harbor was located. Before they could leave, they were interrupted by an unexpected villain.
"Going somewhere? Not on my watch!" said a villainous voice. The crew turned around and found an evil yet beautiful blonde swordswoman. She was dressed in a chivalrous manner, with villainy added onto her.
"Prepare yourselves for Jeanne Gunhildr, the chivalrous knight of Montstadt and loyalty to Chairman Xi Jinping. That monster you have recently apprehended was working with me as my assistant, which was part of my operation to please our masters." The villainous woman chided, approaching the crew. The crew were left without choices and they were forced to engage in another fight with an enemy.
Boss – Jeanne Gunhildr
Jeanne fought with elegance and grace taking down most of the heroes with relative ease. The Space Goofs were outnumbered and outwitted, and so for the Phryges who tried various methods to stop her. Not even Asterix and Obelix could get past her with their strength, since she was all brains to outsmart their brawns. Now all that left was Gaulois and Madeline standing in fear with the Olympic Flame. Jeanne was about to finish them off, but she was short by a mysterious flying hand that knocked her weapon off.
"Rayman!" Gaulois shouted with joyful glee. A savior has arrived to aid them in the battle against evil. "Never knew you would just jump in to save the day!"
"In a pickle? Let me teach that baddie a lesson!" Rayman replied back. He then grabbed Jeanne by the limbs with his hands, further restraining her from attacking Gaulois and Madeline. The hands of Rayman then twisted and slammed Jeanne Gunhildr onto the ground several times, until Rayman's hands flung Jeanne into the air and sent her flying.
"You revolting rats! Just wait till we emerge victorious when we meet again! It never ends here!" yelled Jeanne as she was sent flying in the air, disappearing with a twinkle.
"That was amazing! Not bad for a limbless lad like you!" Etno complimented. "You don't mind if you are available to join our crew on the odyssey to Paris, do you? I am sure you will be able to enjoy the sights of Paris too! Your hands will prove an advantage for us!"
"Of course I do! My hands are really fit and ready! Paris, here I come!" Rayman was full of excitement when he joined in the crew. The crew then went by tram to Palavas-Les-Flots beach and took a ferry on the way to Corsica, their next destination.
Meanwhile in the secret hideout in Paris…..
Lila Rossi and along with an afro-haired woman were watching them through camera drones; they were truly displeased with the outcomes. Another evil-looking woman dressed like a witch was also displeased with that the mission initiation was bound to be a total failure.
"Yet another failure again, how could this happen?!" Lila Rossi stormed through the hideout, she was not pleased at all. She had to scheme again to get rid of the Phryges and our heroes for real good.
"That rooster is advancing, and his gonna prove that he can do better like that pesky rabbit!" said the witch-looking villain. "They think they can get away with everything!"
"We know your pain, Arfoire." assured Captain Chantal Dubois. "We have an unfinished score to settle with that rabbit for what he has inflicted on us on the journey to Tokyo, and now we shall deal with the rooster first. If all else fails, then we shall plan another all-out attack instead…."
