The World Championships
Chapter 76 Victory Celebrations
As soon as the G-Revolutions returned to Tyson's house, they were greeted by Tyson's parents, grandfather and Hiro, as well as Tyson and Kai's respective dogs Crash and Shadow. Hiro and Tyson's father insisted they throw a party to celebrate the big victory. Tyson was ecstatic and without wasting any time whatsoever, he contacted all of the other teams who they'd faced in the tournament, along with his immediate aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of his family, all of them said they would be there, including his paternal cousin Yumeko Jabami who was often busy with school and gambling.
The next morning, the G-Revolutions took to setting up for the party while Hiro and Tyson's parents, grandfather and Hiro cooked the food. It took a most of the day to get ready, but soon the house looked immaculate and in the evening people began arriving in droves.
The first to arrive were the PPB All Starz. The G-Revolutions greeted them warmly and happily.
After a while longer, the Blitzkrieg Boyz arrived along with White Tiger X and the Death Stars. Gradually, the other seven teams came, followed by both sides of Hiro and Tyson's family. Of course, Yumeko had made it as well. Hiro and Tyson hugged their aunts, uncles, and cousins. Even Carly Shay and Sam Puckett had come as well. Tori was all too prompt to make sure she was attending.
All of the teams came armed with their own contributions for the dinner, from chicken korma made by the Death Stars to the Blitzkrieg Boyz' meatballs. Even the relatives brought their own cooking as well. Mr. Daniels had made a sweet and sour pork curry which he had brought along.
Soon, everyone began talking and chatting about the events of the tournament. It wasn't long before, Hiro and Tyson's grandfather announced that starters were ready.
As soon as everyone knew this, they all marched in and each took a plate which they filled with kebabs, pepperoni and Hawaiian pizza, samosas and fruit chaat, and sat at the huge table. Tala and Luna were sat directly next to each other, arms round each other's waists. By this point, the Blitzkrieg Boyz and Death Stars had become friends now. Oliver and Cordelia were also sitting side by side due to the friendship forming between the Majestics and Mythic Blade.
Before long, everyone tucked into their starters in a delighted manner.
"I was sure that we were nearly out when we faced the Death Stars." Tyson commented. "Ivy definitely would've won if I hadn't counterattacked her."
Ivy smiled modestly at the comment, "I certainly would've done, Tyson."
"Well it was fun facing you, Ivy."
"I guarantee next time it'll be a different outcome."
"Says you."
"Tyson saw me blading in the Australian Qualifiers." Tyson's cousin Liv interjected.
"Who's that?"
"This is my cousin, Liv, Ivy."
"Nice to meet you, Liv."
"You too, Ivy."
It wasn't long before the starters were finished. Soon, the mains were ready.
As soon as the mains were ready, everyone took their plates and filled them with naan, sweet and sour chicken, butter chicken, chicken korma, saag paneer and meatballs.
With their plates in hand, one by one, everyone returned to the table and sat back down.
Soon enough, Tyson led the others in scrumping their food and drinking their drinks, enjoying every morsel and engaging in conversation.
"Well, everyone, what do you think will happen now the championships are finished?" asked Tyson.
"I'm not sure yet, but I'm sure something will crop up." Max responded.
"I've got a bad feeling that something bad is on the horizon." Daichi added.
"Yes that could be true." Ray answered.
"Even if there is we'll beat it." Kai added.
After finishing their mains, Tyson led the others to the dessert section. Boy, there was every dessert imaginable to mankind, from simple scones with jam and cream to exquisite fruit pies with thick pastry crusts.
One by one, with Tyson in the lead, everyone filled their plates with the exquisite desserts. Soon, they sat down at the table again.
Back at the table, everyone savoured their desserts, trying different ones every time. Tyson particularly enjoyed the trifle because of its delicious layers. Along with his cousin Yumeko, he went back for seconds.
"The world championships will always be in my heart, every win and loss was worth something."
"That's very true, Tyson."
"You said it, Max."
After the desserts, everyone stayed and chatted and hung out for a while, before many of the teams and guests started to go home. Yumeko did not go home, she had come with overnight bag and decided to stay the night.
As everyone went home, the G-Revolutions and Yumeko began to sort their beds out and change for bed. Yumeko put on her short purple nightdress and then everyone went to bed for the night.
