Hey guys, TheDoctor1998 here with another chapter. As you can see from the title, we're jumping right into one of the 001's.
On that note, I'd like to say I'm doing this thing in numerical order, starting with a few of the 001's. Specifically, the first six of them, as they were all posted prior to SCP-1000. Unfortunately, that does mean that it can take a while for some people to see the cast react to an SCP of their liking.
Now, on with the show!

The first thing that Amity noticed when she woke up was that she was really comfortable, and that she had no desire to wake up at all. The second thing she noticed was that she was embraced by a mixture of fur, bones, leather and some cloth.
When she did eventually open her eyes, she saw who embraced her, and the further changes that happened during their sleep.
Luz still looked largely the same as when the two went to sleep, but now it was clear why the half titan's back was hurting. A pair of batlike wings had sprouted from her back, which were fully embracing both their owner and Amity, hugging the witch like the pair of arms that belonged to the same body.
Amity also felt something furry wrapped around her leg. Glancing down, she saw a bushy tail, similar to King's, that had likely sprouted from Luz's tailbone.
Then she noticed something else about her girlfriend's sleepwear. How it was torn up by her new appendages. The only reason Amity didn't pass out, despite the fact that Luz was subconsciously putting Amity's head on her chest, was because Luz's clothes were still acting as a barrier between the two.
Despite her mind nearly going blank, she still had enough of her brain in a functioning state to figure a way out without waking Luz up.
Calling upon her magic, Amity decided to try and replicate what she did back at the Owl House. It happened instinctively last time, but now that she knew what it felt like, she might be able to do it at will.
Slowly, her body and clothes started transforming, liquifying into a purple goop. After a few minutes, everything but her head was converted. She tried to push the magic further, but it seemed like she'd reached her limit.
Amity then carefully unwrapped her head from Luz's arms, and carefully started slithering out of the hybrid's embrace. After reforming and making sure the half titan was still asleep, and squealing as silently as possible at the sight of Ghost and Stringbean sleeping at Luz's feet, the purple haired witch decided to take a quick shower.
When Amity walked back into the bedroom, she saw Luz looking in awe at her new wings.
"Amity!" Luz called excitedly. "I've got wings!" Her tail was wagging, an obvious sign of the hybrid's joy.
"Really? How did I miss that?" The witch chuckled. "So, breakfast?"
"Nah." Luz waved. "I think I'm gonna take a shower first. Get what's left of Belos out of my fur." With that, the titan girl entered the bathroom, leaving Amity alone for a moment.
A few moments later, after some light Azura reading on Amity's part and some fire glyphs for Luz to dry her new fur off, the girlfriends made their way to the restaurant area.
With some exceptions, everyone was busy eating, with food from Earth and the Demon Realm being available at the buffet. When Luz entered, quite a few people stared at her new limbs.
Eda broke the silence with a grin as she changed into her harpy form. "Nice look kiddo."
"Eheh, thanks Eda." Luz replied sheepishly before grabbing something to eat for herself and her girlfriend.
After everyone was finished eating and chatting, including a promise from Eda to give her some flying lessons, Yahweh came into the room. "Well, I hope you've all had a good rest and meal." He started. "Now, I think it's time for you to see some actual examples of Earth's paranormal forces." He then went back through the door, heading towards the theater.
Once everyone went in and got seated, Lilith couldn't help but ask a question. "So, what exactly are we gonna see?"
The old man smiled. "First, I need all of you to pay attention to the screen." And almost immediately, they all did. The second all of the audience's eyes were locked on the screen a strange image appeared, one that gave all involved a splitting headache.
"What the hell was that?!" Hunter exclaimed, recovering first.
"Sorry about that." God said. "I needed to give you this protection first, just to be sure that nobody would fall victim to a cognitohazard or an infohazard."
Gus, who had also recovered from the momentary headache, responded with a question. "What are those?"
"In essence, a cognitohazard is something that can be dangerous to experience through one or more of the five senses, like a scent that causes insanity, or a sound that causes vomiting. A good example would be your painbows."
"Painbows?" Sounded a concerned Camila.
"It's like a regular rainbow, but looking at it turns you inside out!" King exclaimed, just as happily as he did when he explained it to his sister.
As Camila started looking green, Masha decided to move on. "And infohazards?"
Yahweh smiled. "It's a similar principle to cognitohazards, except the effects are triggered by information instead of sensing the object. Say, imagine the effects of a painbow are caused when you know what they look like instead of actually looking at them. A colorblind person could easily watch a painbow, but if you hear from someone what they look like you'd be affected by its power."
Some of the audience paled at that, but Alador was skeptical. "And how is that image you just showed us supposed to protect us from them?"
"That's because it's a cognitohazard by itself, though one that's designed to block the effects of other cognitohazards and infohazards."
While the witches and demons in the room were, understandably, nervous about the fact that they were exposed to something like a painbow, the cooler heads among them understood where Yahweh was coming from.
"Now, if that's everything, I think it's time to start the show." He clapped his hands, and the screen lit up once more.
SCP-001: Awaiting De-classification [Blocked]
THE FOLLOWING FILES HAVE BEEN CLASSIFIED TOP SECRET BY ORDER OF THE ADMINISTRATOR
Darius simply raised an eyebrow. He understood the need for secrecy, though he had a feeling that this "Administrator" held a similar position within the Foundation as Belos did with the Covens.
GENERAL NOTICE 001-Alpha: In order to prevent knowledge of SCP-001 from being leaked, several/no false SCP-001 files have been created alongside the true file/files. All files concerning the nature of SCP-001, including the decoy/decoys, are protected by a memetic kill agent designed to immediately cause cardiac arrest in any nonauthorized personnel attempting to access the file. Revealing the true nature/natures of SCP-001 to the general public is cause for execution, except as required under ████-███-██████.
A shiver went up Luz's spine. "They execute people?"
Hunter reluctantly nodded. "It makes sense, as much as I hate it. Best way to make people keep a secret is the threat of death."
King noticed a different part of the notice though. "So, one or more of these things could be fake?"
WARNING:
ANY NON-AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ACCESSING THIS FILE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED THROUGH BERRYMAN-LANGFORD MEMETIC KILL AGENT. SCROLLING DOWN WITHOUT PROPER MEMETIC INOCULATION WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE CARDIAC ARREST FOLLOWED BY DEATH.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Lilith looked over to Yahweh. "I'm guessing that this is one of those cognitohazards."
An image of strange spirals appeared, thankfully not affecting the audience as Yahweh nodded. "Indeed it is. It would've given you a heart attack if I hadn't shown you that other image."
MEMETIC KILL AGENT ACTIVATED
CONTINUED LIFE SIGNS CONFIRMED
REMOVING SAFETY INTERLOCKS
Welcome, authorized personnel. Please select your desired file.
Amity saw that there were many files labeled [ACCESS DENIED], but six of them seemed to be accessible. Whoever was in control of the screen accessed the first of them.
A purple haired and purple eyed woman with a lab coat, one eye being a pixelated representation of an eye on an LED screen where the right eye would be, appeared on the screen. Her right arm is also replaced with a mechanical limb. "Good afternoon everyone, my name is Doctor Nori, and today we're going to be studying one of the SCP-001 proposals. Specifically, Jonathan Ball's proposal, AKA the Sheaf of Papers."
Alador was fascinated by that human's appearance. 'Perhaps I could make something like that for Edalyn.'
Eda herself snorted. "Really? A sheaf of papers, that's what's so bad that they've gotta kill anyone that sees it?"
Containment Class: Keter
Secondary Class: None
Disruption Class: Amida
Risk Class: Critical
Raine blinked. "Well, that's certainly a dangerous piece of paper."
Special Containment Procedures: To date, no adequate containment procedure has been developed to deal with the possible threat posed by SCP-001. This is due, in part, to the controversial nature of the item and debates concerning the necessity of its containment. This controversy is reflected in the item's changing object class and the procedures utilized in its containment. The current administration, despite charges of paranoia, has classed the object Keter, while requesting permission for a higher object class to be created and applied uniquely to this item, considering it to be the most dangerous of all known or possible items. The reason for this classification and changing attitudes towards SCP-001 are dealt with in the description and notes.
Vee got a bad feeling about this. Something so dangerous they wanted to create a new class, just for it? That just screams bad news.
At present, SCP-001 is located in a code-locked briefcase made of a high-tensile reinforced polymer. The room and the briefcase are monitored at all times by security cameras. The briefcase cannot be opened without unanimous special clearance from all current O5 officers. The briefcase itself is stored in a small, fully lit, single-room off-site building erected in ███ ██████ ██████. Class D personnel are posted to guard the building but may not enter without the aforementioned agreement from the O5 officers, under threat of immediate termination. This off-site building exists for the sole purpose of housing SCP-001 and is wired for detonation in an emergency.
Luz couldn't help but growl again at the mention of the D class and how the Foundation treats them. Thankfully though, no glyphs seemed to form around her this time.
It is the opinion of the current administration that SCP-001 represents the greatest threat to national and global security known to exist. Nevertheless, due to special circumstances regarding its mode of function, further research on the item is disallowed, despite its promotion in the past, when SCP-001 was contained in minimum security conditions.
Willow was wondering what happened that caused them to treat this thing so differently from before.
Description: SCP-001 is a simple sheaf of papers, stapled together in the top left corner. The top sheet is a covering sheet reading simply, "Confidential Report on Special Items—Classified." The number of subsequent papers stapled to this covering sheet is indeterminate, and have ranged from three to thirty. The report is unsigned and its origin is unknown.
Steve couldn't help but comment. "So the number of pages just changes? That doesn't seem so bad."
The first appearance of this report was on ███████ █, ████, when it appeared on the desk of ████████ █████ (deceased). The report at that time described "The 'Living' Room" (SCP-002). Shortly after reading the report with incredulity, ████████ █████ was contacted by phone regarding said item. The next time ████████ █████ perused SCP-001, it described not "The 'Living' Room" but "Biological Motherboard" (SCP-003). ████████ █████ immediately closed SCP-001, thinking it was a different report, and searched for the original report on SCP-002. Not finding it, he again opened SCP-001, and this time it described not SCP-003 but "The 12 Rusty Keys and the Door" (SCP-004). ████████ █████ closed the report once more and opened it immediately, to read of "Skeleton Key" (SCP-005). It is not known what the next actions of ████████ █████ might have been. At varying times following this incident, the aforementioned items were discovered.
Most of the people in the room started to understand just why these papers were so dangerous, though Lilith was scribbling down the information about this proposal in a book, as well as what little was shown about these other SCP's.
Insufficient research exists concerning the correlation between SCP-001 and all other known items. However, it has been established that every event regarding the discovery of a new SCP item has followed a report on that same item appearing beneath the cover sheet of SCP-001. The current administration regards this coincidence as proof of causal connection.
Jerbo piped up. "So this thing just… makes random magic stuff? That doesn't seem too bad."
Barkus barked, saying that while it doesn't seem too bad on its own, it could easily create something that's dangerous and uncontrollable.
Additional Notes: Whether SCP-001 is to be regarded as an advance-warning system or whether SCP-001 itself is to be regarded as the creator of the items requiring special containment remains to be seen. However, the distinction is unimportant in the eyes of the current administration. The fact remains: no new SCP items appear unless SCP-001 is opened and read. It is for this reason that the current administration refuses to repeat the mistakes of the past, mistakes that have resulted in over one thousand SCP items coming to the knowledge of the SCP unit.
Viney's eyes widened. "They made over a thousand of these things before they realized?!"
Arguments concerning the non-lethality of SCP-001 itself, its theoretically beneficial use as an SCP warning system, or its use as a progenitor of advanced biological and non-biological weapons have not swayed the current administration. Nor have arguments criticizing the extreme containment procedures employed in respect to an item that displays no nefarious qualities and is not animate as such. Critics are reminded that these procedures are intended not to contain the item itself, but to isolate it from human interaction, which is to be regarded as the true threat.
"Well, it makes sense." Darius said. "If it needs someone to use it to create more of these anomalies, it's best to make people stay as far away as possible from it."
Although the current administration refuses to remove the object from isolation barring special authorization as noted above, past administrations have counseled daily with the item, and future administrations will no doubt counsel similar behavior. Nevertheless, it is the opinion of the current administration that, barring the destruction of SCP-001, it is to be contained until such a time when responsibility for its containment falls upon future administrations.
Luz shuddered a bit. All that uncontrolled power in a literal sheaf of papers, and all the chaos it could easily unleash. Don't get her wrong, she loves some good chaos, but she doesn't want people to get hurt.
Doctor Nori appeared on screen again. "A bit tame for a 001 if you ask me, but it gets the point across."
Steve couldn't help but agree with the woman. He expected something like the first anomaly to be more… grand than some papers.
Doctor Nori was then shown standing in a lit room next to a briefcase, revealing her legs to be cybernetics resembling velociraptor legs as well as a thin mechanical tail. "So, this is the case holding 001?" One of the guards nodded. "To think that this all started with a single sheaf of papers."
When the video ended, there were still a lot of questions among the audience. "So, was it real or fake?" Came King's voice, still confused as to why the Foundation did that whole fake 001 thing.
"Maybe, maybe not." Yahweh said. "That said, what do you think?"
Eda shrugged. "Honestly, I was expecting more, like a monster or something."
"Oh?" He said, smirking. "Then I think you'll enjoy the next file."
Everyone watched as whoever controlled the screen went back to the 001 page and selected the next proposal.

And that's a wrap. For any of you wondering about Doctor Nori, I based her on the Murder Drones character Nori Doorman, with some traits of the titular Murder Drones and the Sentinels of the same show. TheDoctor1998 here, signing out!
