Chapter 11: Run away.
Misako's POV
No. No. No.
Did he just? He just did. He sacrificed himself. Again.
No Misako. He's still alive. He's still out there. Hopefully.
I skid to a stop and stare at the entry to the forest. The Bounty is only a few minutes away, but I'm not leaving without him. I check the time, 2:01. That's fine. He'll be back. I know it in my heart.
2:02. That's fine. He'll be back.
2:04. He's an Oni, he'll be fine.
2:08. What if something bad happened to him?
2:13 What if he's dead?
2:27 For crying out loud Misako he's the son of the FSM.
2:30 30 minutes…. I spot a black figure getting closer. Closer… he waves his hands frantically in the air. I start the engine again and let myself breath.
"You jerk! I thought you were dead!" I scream. He jumps down the hatch and slips into a chair.
"You can't get rid of me that easily."
"Let's go. I don't think Wu can it much longer. I turn around and hit the gas.
"That thing… it was almost human, in a really weird way. Like if you took a humans body and slapped a Oni's skin onto it. But… the skin is you know."
"A cursed soul!" I suddenly remembered.
"A what?"
"It's a myth. Two people put together into one body, both fighting over control. Using the curser is someone with magical capabilities, or a dark wielder"
"Interesting. So you're saying that…thing could actually be two people?"
"Maybe. But it's unlikely. Throughout my years of research I only ever found 2 cases of it, and they were pretty ominous too." The bounty comes into sight and I stop the Dragon Cruiser.
"You can take Wu right?" I ask. Garmadon nods.
"Do you remember anything else?" He asks. I pause for a second and try to remember anything that I can."
"No-no. It's just that."
"At least it's better then not knowing anything at all." We park next to the bounty and Garmadon grabs Wu, being climbing out with one arm.
"Zane? Zane do you read me?" I say into my ear piece.
"Loud and clear Misako, what happened? Do you need medical assistance?"
"Yes! Wu…he's hurt."
There was a moment of silence.
"I'll be right there." He says. I sigh with relief before climbing out
