Chapter 21: Kimyona

"Thief! Get back here!" A hooded figure came running, their face cast in shadows. Protruding horizontally on each side of the person's head are two fins, white as the a moth's wing. Their tail is uncomfortably curled around their left leg, making them stumble clumsily like a bear.

They turn around briefly, their hand automatically clutching the leather sack they have tied around their waist. A stone gets caught under their foot and they fall, the sack of jewels flying out their hand and spewing its contents on the gravel path. Garmadon put a foot in front of their hand as they tried to reach for the jewels.

"And what would you be doing with those?" He growled. The thief pulled back their snow-white hand.

"Thank you!" A tall and muscular Aquarian came running to a halt. "We're been trying to watch this jackass for months now!" His body was scarred and he wore a eyepatch over his right eye. Two more Aquarians came running.

"Captain! What did she steal this time?" One asked.

"A part of my fortune I'd say." He picked up the jewels and glared at the Aquarian. "What should we do with her?" Asked the other.

"It's not like she can do anything. Alert the authorities and tie her up." The Captain said. "As for you lot. I must thank you, Kimyona has been on the wanted posters for some time." Kimyona stood up and pulled her hood down.

"That fortune should be mine!" She hissed, turning around to escape before Cole stood in front of her.

"Turn around and put your hands up." He said confidently. She hissed again, putting her hands up. Her bloodshot eyes looked from Garmadon to the Captain.

"Name's Captain Seaworthy." The eyepatch Aquarian said, flicking his tail.

"Our names are Zane, Jay, Cole and Garmadon." Zane spoke. "We are looking for someone named-" Jay put his handover Zane's mouth.

"Sorry, do you mind if we discuss this with you somewhere more private?" He laughed nervously.

"Of course!" Seaworthy sang. "Come over to my ship. You'll know what to do then."

———————————

"So." Seaworthy sat at the end of a long table, picking up a drumstick from a silver platter and ripping it to shreds in his jagged teeth. "Who are you looking for again?"

"Having Kimyona here is unwise. She could be able to use this information against us, and probably will with her hostility."

"Eh, don't worry." Seaworthy laughed. "The authorities will be around in any minute. "

"My son." Garmadon started, peeling his eyes away from the piles of meat spread out in front of him. "Lloyd Garmadon."

Seaworthy's eyes lit up with a spark.

"It should have been more obvious. Garmadon, Lloyd Garmadon. You two share a face." He whispered. "Yes, I know him well. He was a dear friend to my Grandfather. Even helped to build this ship. No one around here has seen him in years. Not even my own crew."

"R-really?" Cole stuttered. "Do you know where he is?"

"I'm afraid he's passed away. Sailed off into the sea and got caught in a nasty storm."

"No." Garmadon murmured. "No it can't be true. We came all this way."

"Let me give you some space to grief while I speak to my crew. They will know some more information, being friends with him and all. They can get you some new information." Seaworthy stood up and walked away.

"Liar." Kimyona hissed, her bright red eyes glaring at the door where he had exited. "How would his crew know new information if they haven't seen him in years?"

Zane nodded. "There are too many mistakes in his story."

"I know the truth." Kimyona whispered. "Get me out of here and I'd be more than willing to share."

"You're a thief." Jay said. "How do we know that you know about him?"

"Blonde hair, green eyes." Kimyona whispered, her voice getting softer. "Master of Energy. Son of Garmadon and Misako. Nephew of Wu."

"Callista said that Lloyd was in the dungeons for quite some time. They would have known that won't they?" Cole spoke.

"It is very unlikely." Zane replied.

"One more thing." Kimyona's voice was almost too quiet to be heard. "He's the descendant of the First Spinjitzu Master."

Cole knew it was rude but he gasped.

"I don't think she is lying." Garmadon spoke.

"So we're supposed to trust a thief?" Jay argued.

"What choice do we have?" Garmadon snarled.

"Please." Kimyona, dipped her head with shame. "I'll explain everything. I'll explain how I found your friend. Just let me go. Or let me help you, he was the one that hired me after all."

"Hired you?" Jay asked. Dust slowly drifted from overhead as footsteps were getting louder.

"Not here!" Kimyona hissed. "We need to go, now!"
