Chapter 7

The next day, Clarke, Raven and Kane were called to their tent by Lexa. Once they were sitting around the small table, Lexa began.

"Last night, Tanwen told me of a plan she had thought of that could help us against the mountain. She asked me as her wife to listen. Commander Lexa does not yet know of this but she will this afternoon. All three ex-Skaikru smirked.

"What's the plan?" Raven asked.

"I want to take a team, go to the bunker you got the guns from and find a rocket launcher. If we can get one to work, I want to take that same group and the spacesuits and go to the mountain. We will be hiding at first. Teams with the bug detectors will be sent out all over the mountain from all sides to start knocking out those cameras. I intend for them to be blinded as much as possible. I know it would mean they release acid fog, and to that end, one person in each detector group will be carrying a tent for them to use if they do release it. It will keep them safe. Once the fog is released, it will hide us from their cameras as well as them from us. We put the spacesuits on, take the rocket launcher and go find a vent to destroy."

"That mountain was built to withstand a nuclear blast, what makes you think you can take them out with a rocket launcher?" Kane asked.

"Because I found a flaw in one of the vents. I figured out that when the mountain was built, it wasn't designed as a survival bunker. It was converted into one later on. That vent was badly welded and as a result, there's a weak spot that thay have to keep welding from the inside. Radiation leaks into the mountain there, but they keep an eye on it and then weld it when it get's too large of a problem."

"So if they weld it, why do you think it would be a good place to hit?" Clarke asked.

"Because of the size of the gap. They should have welded another plate over it, but they didn't. They left it like that. I don't know if they intended to fix it, but the plans have that flaw on them."

"And they wouldn't have done that if it had been fixed," Raven said, nodding.

"But they could have fixed it by now, surely," Kane asked.

"I doubt it, Kane. Those plans were found in the Pentagon, not in Mount Weather. Most plans were stored at the Pentagon. There may be local plans within Mount Weather but I doubt that vent has been fixed. Even if it has, could it stand up to a rocket shot at it?" Raven was shaking her head.

"Nope, it couldn't. The vent would stand up to the nuclear blast, because it was not a direct hit on it. The rocket would be fired directly into the vent. There's no way they could fix that vent to withstand a rocket up its ass!" Raven said.

"What else?" Clarke asked.

"I need your help to refine the plan. Raven, you need to go back to the Skai camp and test those suits. While there, find me at least six people who can fit into the suits and follow orders. Bellamy is to be one of them. I need him to help me find the rocket launcher and figure out how to use it and if it works."

"And us?"

"Timing, planning and figuring out who to take with me. I would like Murphy to go back to the camp to keep them in line while Bellamy's helping me."

"Would Murphy be enough?"

"I don't know, but there's not many of us who we trust implicitly. Octavia's one of Clarke's guards with Lincoln so I can't use them. Bellamy would be more concerned about Octavia than anything else if I took them." Raven snorted in agreement.

"Monroe may be one of them, but I want her here as point for those still in the Pentagon. Sterling - I may borrow him, with both O and Lincoln and Anya and Byrne as your guards, Sterling can be released to help me." Tanwen was looking at the floor as she thought about each person outside the mountain.

"Did I miss anyone?"

"Finn," Clarke said.

"No, he stays at the camp. I can't trust him to follow orders."

"Then, no, there's no-one else."

"I'll take Ingrid and Pelana with me as well. My male guards are too big to fit into the suits."

"I can assign a couple of smaller guards to you," Lexa said.

"No, I need people I know will follow orders and not question them. There may not be time to bring them up to speed on what's happening and what we need to do."

"Anyone from your camp who could help you?" Lexa asked.

"Raven can find me some people," Tanwen said.

"When do we do this?" Clarke asked.

"That's something we need to decide. The distances need to be factored in, plus time it takes to do things. With horses, it takes two days to reach the Skai camp. How long will it take to check the suits, Raven?"

"A couple of days at least. Each suit needs to be thoroughly inspected and checked, air tanks too." Tanwen nodded.

"So that's four days so far. Once we reach the camp, Bellamy and I can go off and check the bunker while Raven is checking the suits."

"It would take at least another day by horse to reach the bunker," Clarke said.

"I think we'd take at least a day to find the launcher and check it out," Tanwen surmised.

"Then another day to get back to our camp would make it five days," Clarke said.

"How long will it take the teams to get into position to find those cameras?"

"Several days to surround the mountain," Lexa said.

"Could they do that while Tanwen and Bellamy and Raven are doing their parts?"

"Yes, but it would take another day at least before everyone was in position. It takes three days to reach Mount Weather, but it takes at least six days to walk around it and avoid being caught by either reapers or mountain men," Lexa told them.

"Factor in another day for unexpected stuff and that gives us a week. Think we could do it in a week's time?" Raven asked.

"We need to, Raven, the longer we wait, the more time the maunon has to figure out the bone marrow."

"Then you need to tell the Commander and get her to sort those teams out. I'll need to show some warriors how to use the bug detectors. I hope they get it quickly," Raven said, more to herself than the others.

"Alright," Tanwen said. "Is this the plan?" Clarke, Kane and Raven looked at each other before they nodded.

"Yes, it is," Clarke said.

"Then I think the Commander needs to make an appearance," Tanwen said to Lexa. Lexa understood what was needed and she stood up.

"I agree with this plan but know that I do not wish for the Trikru kwin to be harmed, much less killed. The mountain's downfall is not worth her life."

"Understood," Tanwen said. "I will make sure that my bodyguards know their job is to protect me and nothing else." The Commander nodded.

"Find us people willing to work with tek, Commander," Tanwen said. "We need people willing to work with us and find those cameras quickly." Lexa nodded.

"I need to inform the generals of the plan, no doubt most of them will not like it."

"They don't need to like it, they just need to do their jobs," Tanwen replied. The Commander nodded and then dismissed them. They would go to Clarke's tent to plan some more.

xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

"Hey, what have you called your village?" Tanwen asked as they settled around Clare's tent.

"Huh? We haven't named it yet," Clarke said.

"Any ideas?"

"No. I don't want anyone's name used and I don't want it to be anything associated with the Ark," Clarke said.

"I was going to suggest Arkadia," Kane said.

"Nope, no way!" Raven said.

"We need to move away from the Ark, Kane, naming it that would only remind them of where they came from. We need to move on from that."

"So what do you think you want to call it, or rather, any ideas what you want to name it after? Place you landed? Animals? Anything?"

"No, not really. Maybe a latin name? Can you suggest anything?"

"For what? Stars? The Sky or something different?"

"No idea. We need to call it something. We can't just call it the camp."

Well, I was looking through Galen's collection of books."

"Who's Galen?" Raven asked.

"One of the Tondc healers. He makes the medicines and ointments the healers use. He can read gonasleng a little bit and he has some old world medical books as well as others. Anyway, one of those books was a book of names. It was sorted into girls and boys, but also by where the name came from."

"Like?"

"Germany, England, USA, Spain and it included a section on various native American names as well. There is a name, Halian, that I liked."

"What does it mean?" Raven asked. Tanwen grinned.

"Full of youth!" Tanwen said. Raven and Clarke burst out laughing.

"Oh, God, that's perfect!" Raven said. Clarke nodded her agreement.

"Halian? That's not too bad," Kane admitted.

"Then it's official. Our village is called Halian," Clarke said.

"Good, now back to the planning. Once the Commander's got those people ready, Raven has to teach them to use the bug detector. We need at least four to a team. One for the bug detector, one to climb the trees to find them, one to carry the tent and one on lookout. How many detectors are there?" Tanwen asked.

"Ten."

"Then we need ten teams spread around the mountain. I'd say we get them into position and then at dawn the following day, they start looking for those cameras. We still need teams for the reaper tunnels. I'd like Jackson to accompany them plus some of the guards with tranq guns. They need to clear out the tunnels around that door and keep it clear. That's the way in once I take out that vent." They all nodded along.

"Raven, you and I, Murphy, Sterling and my guards need to set off no later than the day after tomorrow providing we have the go ahead from the Commander."

"Yeah, neither Sterling or I can ride, Tanwen," Raven said.

"Shit! Then we need a wagon and that extra day," Tanwen said.

"Then we'd better set off as soon as we can," Raven said.

"Clarke and the Commander can figure out who to send out where from here and Halian. I'll grab Bellamy and we'll go find that rocket launcher. Raven, check those suits. I'll leave Sterling with you to help until we get back and then we'll have to figure out who we can use. After that, we need to set off with the suits and wait until the acid fog is released before we climb into them. We take out the mountain and get our people."

"Simple plan with lots of potential to go wrong," Kane said.

"I know and the timing's going to be tight, but we can't wait any longer, Kane," Tanwen said. Kane nodded. He made a decision and stood up and bowed to Tanwen.

"Go get our people, ai kwin," he said, seriously.

"Thank you, Kane. I'll do my best. Are you coming along with the Commander's people?"

"Yes. I'll be there to help with our people."

"Just remember, we're all Trikru now, those clan prisoners are also our people."

"I know, we need them all out." Tanwen nodded.

"Good, now Raven, tell me how you're going to teach the clans to use the tek when they're scared of it?" she asked, smirking. Clarke and Kane laughed and Raven proceeded to tell them exactly how she intended to do it.

xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

The following day, teams were sent out and told to encircle the mountain and wait. On the sixth day after they left Tondc would be the day they would start looking for the seeing machines. They were told that another team would be among them, trying to find an infiltration point. Each team had been given a tent that would keep out the acid fog, several days worth of food and water bags they could fill up at any river or stream they came across. They were to stay hidden and not hunt. They all agreed and headed out. Once they had been gone for an hour, Tanwen, Raven, Sterling, Murphy, Tanwen's guards and four smaller warriors that Raven had approved, set off in a wagon towards Halian. Tanwen was carrying letters for several people in Halian including a document proclaiming its new name.

It took them three days to reach it and when they did, Raven and Sterling left to start checking the suits. Tanwen and Murphy met with Bellamy and she gave him Clarke's messages.

"So what do you need me for?" Bellamy asked when he'd read them.

"I want you with me and two of my guards and go to the bunker you got those guns from."

"Why?"

"I'll tell you that part once we're on the way. Murphy, here, will be staying here and taking your place. I need you on my team."

"Doing what?"

"That's also to be told later on. Right now, I need you to bring Murphy up to date on what's going on here. Anything he needs to know and do, anyone he needs to keep an eye on and anyone who is willing to work with us." Bellamy looked at her, figuring she'd tell him only when he needed to know.

"Alright. How long until you need me to head out with you?"

"As soon as possible, but I'll give you two hours."

"Two hours!?" Bellamy exclaimed.

"Time is of the essence, here, Bellamy. We can't afford to wait any longer to get our people out." He saw the seriousness in her face and knew it didn't bode well for those taken prisoner inside the mountain. He nodded and then stood, pulling Murphy with him.

"I'll be ready in just over an hour," he said. Tanwen nodded and the two left.

xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

An hour and a half later, Bellamy, Tanwen and her two female guards set off on horses to find what she needed.

"So, can you tell me now?" Bellamy asked, several hours later.

"Yeah, the short version is we're sending out teams with bug detectors Raven made to find and destroy their cameras. Mount Weather will send out acid fog so they'll take shelter in tents they have with them. When they release the fog, you and I and my team will don spacesuits and creep up on Mount Weather. The fog blinds them as well as us. We found plans of Mount Weather under the Pentagon in a secret bunker. On the plans is a flaw in one of the vents. Raven has stated that it would not stand up to a rocket launcher. Kane said when they inventoried the bunker, there were rocket launchers and bazookas in there. We need to find one and make sure it works."

"That's the short version?" Bellamy said.

"Bellamy, concentrate! We need to find that rocket launcher and make sure it works. Then we need to hide it before going back to Halian and getting those suits from Raven. You, me, these two guards, Sterling and four other warriors will suit up once the acid fog is released. We'll have to drag them towards the mountain, though."

"What's the time frame?"

"Three days from now, the teams will start checking for the cameras."

"So we need to be in position as soon as possible?" Tanwen nodded.

"Then we'd better get a move on. The bunker's about three miles west of the dropship." Tanwen nodded again and Bellamy led the way. Pelana stayed with the horses while the other three made their way down the stairs into the darkness. The flashlights they brought from Halian lit up everything. Bellamy led them towards where they had found the guns in the barrels.

"This is where we found them, but Kane said that there was another room where there were more guns and ammo." He led them towards it and pushed the door open.

"Alright, we need to find the rocket launcher. I'm not sure what it looks like other than a long tube."

"We'll search," Bellamy said, moving towards one side of the room while Tanwen and Ingrid moved to the other and started checking.

It took another hour and a half before Bellamy shouted that he'd found them. Tanwen and Ingrid made their way over to him.

"There are three," Bellamy said.

"Let's check them, we only need one."

"How many rockets do you need?"

"Hopefully, only one, but we can take three just in case as long as they aren't too heavy." Bellamy nodded. Bellamy checked each one and two of them were working. He picked up one of them and gave it to Tanwen before turning around to look for the missiles.

"There's only two here," he said.

"Then we'd better hope we don't miss," Tanwen said. Bellamy grabbed the box with them in and carried it out of the bunker with Tanwen and Ingrid following. They made it back to camp the following evening having hidden the launcher and its ammo in a cave on the way towards Mount Weather. They had a quick meal before going to see Raven.

"The suits all check out," she said. "I've had your guards and Sterling trying them on."

"Good, they can show us how to make them safe from acid fog," Tanwen said.

"When are you leaving?"

"As soon as we can, we need to be near Mount Weather by tomorrow night. The next day, they start searching for the cameras. We need to be in position before then." Raven nodded.

"Before you came here, Wick and Finn went to that bunker of his and came back with a load of stuff including a small cart. You can use it for your suits." Bellamy grinned.

"Can you fill it with our suits while we go get some food and water for a few days for all of us?" Tanwen asked. Raven nodded as Sterling came towards them.

"Abby's getting suspicious about what's going on," he said.

"It's none of her business," Tanwen said. "As queen of the Trikru, I can do what I want and order others to do my bidding. This camp is Trikru as well so she cannot question me about what I'm doing." Sterling nodded.

"Come on, you can help me get the food we'll need."

xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

Four hours later, they set off towards Mount Weather. They'd walk through the night to get to a cave system Pelana's brother had found not that far from Mount Weather. They reached it just as dawn broke. Pelana led them inside and into a side cave that doubled back on itself, sheltering any light from outside detection. The four warriors set up several sleeping furs that they'd have to share while Bellamy lit the one lantern they'd brought from Halian. It was one from the Ark and worked by battery. They'd found spare batteries among the supplies Finn had brought back.

"Alright, we need to keep a watch out. They may start searching for those cameras today. They are supposed to start tomorrow, but they could start early. Once that acid fog is released we need to suit up quickly and get into position," Tanwen said.

"Sha, ai kwin," the four warriors said, bowing to her. Pelana and Ingrid nodded to her and Ingrid began organising the watch roster.

"What about our people in Tondc?" Bellamy asked.

"They're joining the Commander's people and should be on their way right now. As soon as we can breach the mountain, we can try to find a way in. The fog shouldn't bother us, but it may enter the mountain via the vent. I don't think it would do much damage to our people because that vent is supposed to be an outlet vent, not an intake one," Tanwen explained.

"So it'll stay localised around the vent?"

"Yeah."

"So what now?"

"We wait. We'll sort out who's suit is who's and place it somewhere they can access it quickly, but other than that, we wait." Bellamy nodded. He didn't do well with inactivity even if he knew it was necessary.

"You should try to get some sleep," he said.

"I will later. I want to make sure that they haven't started yet." Bellamy nodded and they both went to the cart with the suits in it. Raven had thoughtfully used tape and wrote each person's name on the back of the suit.

"Handy," Tanwen muttered as they began pulling the suits out and laying them around the cave on the various rocks they found. Once each suit was laid out, Tanwen went around and made sure each person knew where their suit was. She didn't want any fights over who got which suit. No doubt Raven had that problem when she was checking them out.

They spent the day and night there before the sentry said he saw one of the detector teams moving out trying to find the cameras.

Tanwen nodded.

"Alright, suit up but don't put the helmets on until we need to. We'd waste the air in our tanks doing that." Everyone agreed and soon they were suited up, and waiting for the fog to be released.

xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

Two hours later, a foghorn was heard.

"That's our cue!" Tanwen said and put her helmet on. Sterling had been shown by Raven what to check for with the suits and he was the safety officer for the trip. He went to each person and checked that the seal on the helmet was good and that the oxygen was turned on. Bellamy did the same for him and then Tanwen had them paired up and ready to move.

Bellamy picked up the launcher and one of the warriors carried the two rockets.

Tanwen led them towards the mountain and once they started to encounter the fog, she had each person place a hand on the shoulder of the person in front. She didn't want anyone to get lost in the blinding fog.

Raven had identified one of the Admiral's suits which had a built in hud system. Tanwen called up a map of the area with blinking dots to show where they were in regards to where the mountain was. She used it to guide them towards their destination.

It took them another three hours before they reached it.

"Here!" Tanwen said, pointing to the vent in question. Bellamy looked at it and nodded. He set up the weapon and then handed it to Tanwen before getting one of the missiles and loading it.

"Ready!" Bellamy said, slapping her on the other shoulder as a sign that it was done. Tanwen was already kneeling and now she targetted the vent.

"Firing!" she yelled and pressed the trigger. The rocket shot off and headed straight for the vent. It hit the flimsy grid and blasted its way down the shaft before exploding. The backdraft of flames and heat knocked them off their feet and when they regained them, they saw the destruction it had caused.

"Let's go see what damage it did," Bellamy said quietly. He knew what it meant for the people in the mountain, but he had no idea of the fire power that was unleashed.

There was a very large hole in the infrastructure of the vent system. The fires were out and the heat was dissipating.

"Think we can enter here?" Bellamy asked.

"Yeah, I think that hole is now big enough for us to get through. We may have to climb around their tunnel system, but we can enter and find our people. We make sure that the mountain men are dead before we expose ourselves though." Bellamy nodded and moved forward, checking to see if there were any sharp edges that could cut their suits.

Bellamy entered the hole and checked for movement but he heard nothing. The rest of them carefully climbed down until all of them were standing in one of the vent shafts. Tanwen had gotten Raven to download the Mount Weather plans to her hud and now she called them up.

"This way," she whispered. Their suit comms systems picked it up and passed it to everyone. Bellamy led the way, followed by Tanwen and her two guards, the four warriors and then Sterling.

They moved quietly through the vents until Tanwen led them to one of the armouries scattered around the mountain base.

"Alright, Sterling, test the air please," Tanwen asked. Sterling nodded and unlatched his helmet and took a quick breath. He took a deeper one when nothing happened.

"It's good," he said. They all unlatched their helmets and left them in the armoury.

"We'd better come back for them," Sterling said. "Raven will not be happy if we lose them!" Tanwen and Bellamy snickered at that truism.

"Look around for any clan weapons you can find. Bellamy, Sterling look for handguns only." They all nodded and began searching for weapons they were familiar with. One of the warriors found a small stash of clan weapons.

"Here!" he whispered. They all moved towards him as he held up a bow and a quiver of arrows. Pelana grabbed them and then grabbed a short sword as well before snagging a couple of knives. Everyone else helped themselves to weapons, though Ingrid took two of the swords from her warriors and presented them to Tanwen. The warriors shrugged and grabbed other swords. Once everyone was kitted out with various weapons, they moved out.

"Come on, let's find our friends," Tanwen said. She moved to the door and listened before carefully opening it.

"Clear!" she whispered. Bellamy slipped out past her and then Pelana did the same. Two more warriors went out before Tanwen and Ingrid and then Sterling and the other two warriors. They crept along the corridors checking around corners before they went around them and they moved through the mountain. The radiation alarm that had blared as soon as the rocket struck was still blaring and it masked some of their sounds.

The first body they found was that of a male doctor. His face and arms were covered in radiation sores.

"Guess it worked," Bellamy said, sadly.

"Only one side can win in a war, Bellamy," Tanwen said. He nodded, but he still didn't like it.

They moved on and saw more and more bodies, doctors, soldiers and civilians.

"I guess some of them couldn't reach their radiation bunker in time," Tanwen said. They stopped by a door and went in. It was a hospital ward. They moved through the empty ward to the door at the other end. It was locked so Sterling picked it. Bellamy was first through and the sight that greeted him had him thinking it was a good thing they did in killing the mountain people if this was how they were treating their prisoners. Cage upon cage and row upon row of prisoners were in the room. The four warriors let out a snarl at seeing them.

"Get them out of their cages, Sterling!" Tanwen said, equally furious.

"Sha, ai kwin," he said. He began picking the locks on the cages and when the prisoners were being freed, Pelana spoke to them in Trigedasleng, reassuring them that they were an infiltration unit sent to free them. Tanwen was busy searching the pockets of one of the soldiers and came up with some keys. She tried each key on the cages until she found the right one and began letting them out.

"He called you ai kwin," said one woman.

"Sha," Tanwen said, unlocking the door to another cage.

"What happened to Queen Nia?"

"She's fine as far as I know," Tanwen replied. "I'm the Trikru queen." Several clanspeople knelt to her.

"Ai kwin," they said. Tanwen nodded.

"Does anyone know where the other prisoners are?" No-one spoke.

"Alright, Jakron, Filgar, lead them back to where we got in and help them to get out," Tanwen said.

"Sha, ai kwin," they said. Bowing before leading those who could still walk out to their freedom. Those who couldn't, were left with Latimer who had festooned himself with an arsenal of weapons. He would protect them until help could arrive.

Tanwen and Bellamy led the rest out and through the corridors once more until they came to another cage filled room. This time, most of them were unable to walk and most were carried back to the first room for Latimer to care for. They moved on.

The next corridor had two dead guards by a door. Tanwen searched them for the keys and found them. She unlocked the door and a figure barrelled into her. She was knocked off her feet. She looked up to see Jasper on top of her. He looked at her, puzzled because she wasn't one of those taken by the mountain men.

"Hey, Jasper, long time, no see," she said grinning.

"Tanwen?"

"Yeah, get off me, Jasper." Jasper rolled to the side of Tanwen and he stood before he grabbed her into a big hug.

"Yeah, Jas, we don't have time for this. We need to find the other prisoners and free them."

"What about the mountain people?" he asked.

"Dead," Tanwen said.

"How?"

"I sent a rocket through one of their vents and it destroyed it, letting in the outside air." He nodded.

"Good, they were going to bleed us dry."

"I know. We figured out other things as well so we planned to get you all out."

"Ai kwin, we must hurry," Ingrid said.

"Sha," Tanwen replied.

"You speak their language?" Jasper asked.

"There's a lot you don't know, Jasper. We are no longer at war with them, in fact, we are them, We are all Trikru now. Everyone gets out. We need to find the other prisoners and free them. Are you all with me?" she asked of the others who crowded around her. They all nodded.

"Whatever it takes to get out of this hellhole!" Miller said.

"Good. Monty, take Miller, Guy, Del, and Peter. Go with Alaren and go find the command centre. Open all the doors you can except for those under the mountain. There is one door you may need to open for them if you can find it. If not, then they'll have to open it," Tanwen said. Monty looked at her in confusion.

"There's a secret door under the mountain. Don't open the main doors from there and don't open the secret door yet either. Our people are going through the reaper tunnels trying to incapacitate the reapers. We don't want them roaming the mountain while we're trying to free people." Monty nodded and Alaren moved off with Monty guiding them to the Command centre on the lowest level.

"The rest of us need to split up. Jack, take eight others and head back along this corridor. Just around the corner to the left is another room we found clan prisoners in. One of my team members is there. Help him with the prisoners that are too weak to walk. Protect them. Tell Latimer that ai kwin sent you."

"Ai kwin?"

"It means, 'my queen'. I'm the Trikru queen. No-one from that clan will question me or my orders." Jack nodded and tagged eight people to go with him.

"Bellamy, take another group and go find the outside doors. If the Commander is there, lead her to the first room and then find us as we free them. If she's not there, check that secret door." Bellamy nodded and tagged another ten people to go with him.

"Sterling, go find their armouries and stores. See what we could use. The modern weapons stay here, but the clan weapons can be used by them if needed." Sterling nodded and grabbed another ten.

"The rest, stay with me and we find the rest of our people!" They nodded and Tanwen and Pelana headed out, checking rooms for their people.

xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

They had freed another three rooms of people and sent them off with one of the hundred back to the first room.

They moved through the corridors until they came upon a group of unsuited mountain soldiers in a large empty room.

"Get them!" ordered one of the civilians at the back. Pelana and Ingrid placed themselves beside Tanwen as the men advanced on them, pulling knives from their belts. Tanwen grabbed the swords off her back and got herself ready. They must have taken bone marrow from people for them to be immune to the radiation now pouring into the mountain. Tanwen didn't wait, she began swinging her swords at the mountain guards. As some fell, others joined in, all without suits. Tanwen didn't understand it, she'd personally counted each of the hundred and they were all there, so how could they be immune to the air? She didn't have time to think about it as she was busy carving a path through the soldiers.

More clanspeople ran into the room and stopped as they saw their queen fighting the maunon. More and more soldiers joined in and soon the whole floor was covered in blood, guts and the dead. Still, she did not stop. She carried on with her guards at her side, killing any who tried to take Tanwen out from the side.

As she got nearer the other side of the room, she saw one man she recognised. Pike. He seemed to be on their side. She made for them and was carving her way through the soldiers when the Commander entered the room from behind her. She was in awe of her wife as she carved through the soldiers on her way forward. Pike and the leader turned and opened a door to flee when they came face to face with Bellamy's team and his gun pointed at the leader's head. Pike tried to fight but Tanwen sliced the back of his leg and he collapsed. She used the butt of her sword to hit the leader, knocking him out. When it was done, Tanwen was covered in blood, her swords dripping blood and she was breathing hard. Each clansman who witnessed it saw a woman who had just avenged her people. A great roar went up from the clan prisoners as they now realised their Commander had united with another great warrior.

"Queen Tanwen," Bellamy said. "What do you want done with them?" he said, pointing to Pike and the other man.

"Lock them up in the cages that held my people!" she snarled. Bellamy nodded and bowed before grabbing Pike while others grabbed the leader and they dragged them away, Pike screaming about needing medical care. Clarke came in then.

"Queen Tanwen, what happened?"

"These soldiers are immune to the radiation but I counted out the hundred and no-one was missing. For this many to be immune, there would have to be more of the Ark people here being drained of their bone marrow. Pike was here on their side. I guess he decided to sell his people out for a cushy life!" She turned around to see who was there.

"Candace, take a team and find our missing people. They are most likely Arkers from one of the missing stations." Candace bowed and grabbed several people, clan and hundred alike to go find them.
