Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a good Christmas and had a good 2022 year. Here's one chapter before this year ends.

Chapter 12: Everyone Needs A Friend
Sonic had brought Amy, Cream, and Cheese along to the Great Valley because Amy and Cream wanted to visit the kids themselves. Amy, Cream, and Cheese played with the kids. They played Kick the Seed and Tag. The 3 Mobians were having fun in the Great Valley. Sonic then showed the 3 Mobians around the Great Valley.
"So, what do you guys think of this place?" asked Sonic.
"It's pretty nice. I wondered how the dinosaurs lived" said Cream.
"Chao chao" said Cheese. The kids looked at Cream and Cream translated that Cheese was having fun too.
"It's a lot different from our time" said Amy. Sonic nodded in reply.
"It's quite amazing how big the dinosaurs were" said Cream. The kids agreed. The group then sat down for a moment. They all enjoyed the sunny day. They all watched some clouds move away.
Amy sighed. "Isn't this wonderful Sonic?"
Amy then sat close to Sonic and grabbed his arm. Sonic looked at Amy and then rolled his eyes. He felt a little annoyed. The kids snickered a little. Even Cream and Cheese giggled a little. Sonic then wanted to change the subject. He then parted from Amy and stood up. He looked at the others.
"So, um... what do you guys want to do now?" asked Sonic. The kids then thought for a moment.
Littlefoot then thought of something. "I know. We can go explore some more of the secret caverns we haven't seen."
"That could work" said Sonic.
"Yeah, let's go adventuring" Chomper said with a smile. The others agreed.
"Me hope we don't find something scary" said Petrie.
"Are the caves really scary?" said Cream.
"It's ok Cream. We haven't seen a lot of scary stuff other than Sharpteeth" said Sonic.
"Sharpteeth?" said Cream.
"You know, Raptors and T-Rexes" said Amy. The kids remembered how Sonic and his friends told them what they named Sharpteeth during the last trip to Mobius.
Cream shook a little. "Oh, I hope we don't find Sharpteeth."
"It's ok. It's nothing Sonic can't handle. (Looks at Sonic) Right?" said Amy.
Sonic nodded. "Yep, it's no problem."
The others then stood up and walked to a nearby cave they haven't explored yet. They walked awhile through a cave. After some time, Cera got bored. She told the others that she wanted to explore elsewhere. After a few moments, they found an exit. It led them to another far part of the Valley. Cera walked out of the cave first.
"(Sigh) This is much better" said Cera. Spike mumbled in agreement. Ducky and Spike walked out.
"Oh, the Bright Circle is much brighterer out here" Ducky said as she shielded her eyes with her hand. Ruby then walked out after climbing a small ledge.
"Well, we've been in the caves longer than we've been out of them" said Ruby. Amy, Sonic, Cream, and Cheese climbed out next.
"Hey, wait for me" said Chomper. The little Sharptooth then tried to climb up the small ledge, but he was struggling a little because of his small arms. He grunted a little.
"Maybe some help will help you" said Ruby.
"It's not too high" said Chomper. He tried harder to pull himself up. Littlefoot then gave a hand (or head that is) by pushing Chomper up with his head.
"There you go" said Littlefoot.
"Thanks" said Chomper. Littlefoot nodded and climbed out too. The group looked around.
"I don't think I've been here before" said Littlefoot.
"That's the point of having an adventure" said Cera.
"You got that right" said Sonic. The group then walked for a little while. They all saw some mountains that were really close. They all saw some rocky hills too. Ruby thought for a moment.
"Hmm, this place reminds me of some place" said Ruby.
"Of what?" said Cream.
"I'm not sure yet" said Ruby.
"Maybe you've been here before" said Chomper.
"Maybe" said Ruby.
"This place doesn't look familiar to me. No, no, no" said Ducky. The group walked some more.
"Have you been in this place Sonic?" asked Amy.
Sonic thought for a moment. "I think I have. I sometimes explore some hills away from the Valley."
Sonic looked around and saw more rocky hills. He thought that this place may be part of the Mysterious Beyond.
"I think we're in the Mysterious Beyond" said Sonic.
"You might be right Sonic" said Ruby.
"Mysterious Beyond?" said Amy.
"What's a Mysterious Beyond?" said Cream. Cheese had the same thought.
"It's kind of a dangerous place where most of the Sharpteeth live. And other strange creatures. The dinosaurs don't explore much here." said Sonic.
Amy and Cream replied, "Oh."
"But we can't be in the Mysterious Beyond. I don't see Red Claw anywhere" said Cera. Amy and Cream wondered who Red Claw was. Suddenly, Red Claw appeared from behind some trees. The mean Sharptooth roared at the group. Amy, Cream, and the kids gasped. Sonic, however, had a brave expression. Amy and Cream now understood who Red Claw is, and how he got his name by seeing his red claw and red eye.
"I see him now!" Cera exclaimed with fear. The 3 Mobians felt afraid but not Sonic.
"Run!" yelled Sonic. Sonic followed the group to protect them as Red Claw chased the group.
"Back to the cave!" yelled Littlefoot. The group then ran back to the cave, but their way was blocked by the arrival of Screech and Thud. Both raptors snarled at the group. Amy, Cream, and the kids screamed. Sonic then saw a bunch of trees.
"Run to those trees! You might be able to lose Red Claw there. I'll handle the raptors" said Sonic. The others agreed. They ran to the large group of trees. Sonic then fought Screech and Thud. The others then ran and hid in the group of trees. They walked slowly.
"I don't think Red Claw can see us" said Chomper. But then suddenly, Red Claw appeared from behind some trees and knocked other trees down. The group then stopped in their tracks. The kids screamed again in fear. Red Claw then roared.
"This was not a good idea!" exclaimed Cera. Amy then turned brave.
"Alright, I'll show you not to mess with my friends!" exclaimed Amy. Amy then pulled out her Piko Piko Hammer. The kids were surprised that Amy could pull out a hammer out of nowhere. She then jumped and hit Red Claw with her hammer. Red Claw roared in pain. She then yelled to the others, "Let's go!" The group then ran another way.
Meanwhile, Sonic then took down the 2 raptor henchmen with a few kicks. Sonic then zoomed to find the others. The henchmen then shook their heads and then stood back up. They sniffed the air and followed Sonic's scent.
The others then ran away from Red Claw. The mean Sharptooth still followed them. Petrie then had an idea as he saw a steep pathway up by some cliffs.
"Petrie see something" said Petrie.
"What is it?" said Cream.
"Can't it wait?" Cera said with a frown.
Petrie shook his head. "No, Petrie found something to help. Follow Petrie."
Petrie then led the others up to some high cliffs that had a narrow and steep pathway. They stopped as they saw the pathway.
"Good idea Petrie" said Littlefoot.
Cera frowned. "How is THAT a good idea?"
"It looks scary" said Ducky.
"And narrow" added Ruby.
"But it's too narrow for Red Claw to catch us" said Amy.
"Amy's right. Let's go" said Littlefoot. The kids knew that they had to try since Red Claw was coming after them. The group then followed the pathway upwards. Red Claw couldn't get them. He roared in annoyance.
"(Sigh) That was close" said Chomper. Spike mumbled in agreement.
"We're safe for now" said Littlefoot. The group then saw Sonic zoom to them. He zoomed past Red Claw and met the others. The group felt happy to see Sonic.
"You guys okay?" said Sonic. The others nodded.
"I'm happy that you're okay" said Amy. Sonic nodded. The group then looked at Red Claw. Red Claw then growled and called for his henchmen. Screech and Thud came over and snarled.
"We got trouble" said Amy.
"Oh no! It's those raptors again" said Cream. Cheese mumbled in fear.
"Who are those raptors?" asked Amy.
Sonic glared at the henchmen. "Screech and Thud, Red Claw's helpers."
"Red Claw can't reach us but those raptors can" Cream said with fear. Sonic then told the others to run. The group then took off.
Red Claw roared at his hench raptors to catch the group. The raptors gave a nod and a growl. The 2 raptors climbed up the path. Thud nearly fell because part of the ledge broke off. Thud steadied himself and followed the group, with Screech right behind him. The group then hid behind a very large rock near the end of the pathway. The raptors didn't see them. They looked around for their prey.
"I do not think they can see us here" said Ducky.
"I hope so" said Cream. Cheese mumbled the same.
"But Thud and Screech are REALLY good sniffers" said Chomper.
"We just need to stay calm and quiet then" said Sonic.
"We need to stick together" said Littlefoot.
"Right, together" added Petrie.
Cera frowned. "What? So they can eat us together?"
Amy then frowned. "You sure have a habit of crushing others' hopes, don't you?"
"Hey, it's the truth isn't it?" said Cera.
Amy rolled her eyes. "Whatever."
Cera then hmphed. Cream then came in, "Littlefoot's right, we need to work together."
Sonic nodded and the others agreed though Cera rolled her eyes. They stayed quiet for a moment as they heard the Fast Biters searching for them. They heard their growls as the raptors looked around. After a few moments, it felt quiet.
"I wonder where they are now" Littlefoot whispered.
"I'll check" whispered Chomper.
"Be careful" whispered Cream. Chomper then climbed the big rock. Littlefoot had to give Chomper a lift, cause Chomper slipped on the rock a little bit. Chomper then looked carefully over the large rock. He then spotted Thud nearby sniffing the air. Thud then spotted Chomper on the rock. Chomper gasped and Thud growled. Chomper then slid down the rock back to the others. Thud then ran over and snarled at the group. The kids and Cream screamed. Sonic and Amy got ready. Suddenly, the ground began to shake hard.
"Earthshake!" yelled the kids. Thud then exclaimed with a growl. The kids covered their heads as the earth shook. Some large rocks started to fall off the cliffs near them. Amy and Cream felt afraid but Sonic didn't. Some rocks then hit the kids' backs. A big rock then hit Amy on the head, and she got knocked out. Sonic raised both eyebrows. Cream felt really worried.
"Amy!" exclaimed Cream. Suddenly, part of the ledge broke off. The ledge had Amy, Cream, Cheese, Ducky, and Chomper on it. A dust cloud was created by a bunch of rocks falling. Screech got separated from Thud by the rocks falling. After a few moments, the earthquake stopped. The dust began to settle. The kids coughed a little. The group started to recover from the quake. Sonic brushed some rocks off the kids' backs. Spike and Cera shook off some more rocks. Sonic and the others saw that Amy, Cream, Cheese, Ducky, and Chomper were missing. They saw no trace of Thud and Screech as well.
"Guys, where are you?" Littlefoot called out. Spike moaned a little in pain.
"You can say that again" Cera said to Spike. The other kids rubbed their heads.
"Where's Chomper?" said Ruby.
Petrie looked around. "Me no see Ducky either."
"Amy? Cream? Cheese?" Sonic called out. Littlefoot then called out to the others. Sonic did the same for his friends.
"Over here" said a voice. The group then looked up. The voice was Chomper's. The earthquake moved the ledge much higher from the others. Chomper, Ducky, Cream, and Cheese looked down at the group. They were pretty high up.
"What are you guys doing way up there?" asked Cera.
"It looks like the earthshake moved the cliff above us" said Sonic.
"Are you guys okay?" said Littlefoot.
"We're okay" said Cream.
"We're not hurt but I think Amy is" said Chomper. Chomper and Ducky looked to see that Amy was still out cold.
"Are you all unhurted?" said Ducky. Spike mumbled with an "Uh huh."
Ruby then came in. "A little shaken by the earthshake but we're okay."
"I think we lost Thud. That's good except we're stuck up here" said Chomper.
"And there's no way off. Oh, no, no, no" said Ducky. Sonic then looked at Cream.
"Cream, do you think you can fly the others off of that cliff?" said Sonic.
Cream shrugged. "I could try. But I can only do a couple at a time."
"That's right. I forgot that you can fly with your ears Cream" said Chomper.
"We need to get out of here. I do not like being up so high. No, no, no" said Ducky. Cream nodded. She then tried to fly but she wasn't moving. She flapped her ears again but still couldn't take off.
"Why can't you fly Cream?" asked Chomper.
"I don't know" said Cream. She then tried to move her legs but could only move one leg. She then saw that her left foot was stuck under a large pile of rocks.
"Oh, no. I'm stuck" said Cream. The others then groaned. Ducky and Chomper moaned in sadness.
"That means that we're all stuck on this cliff" said Chomper.
"There must be another way to that ledge" said Littlefoot.
Ruby nodded. "I remember that Sonic told me that no matter what problem you're facing, there's always another way."
Sonic smiled. "You got that right. (Ruby smiles back) We'll find a way to help them."
The group then looked around for something that could help. Sonic then spotted another higher ledge that was close to where the others were. Sonic saw a tree near the high ledge.
"I see another cliff that could help" said Sonic. The others followed Sonic's eyes to the higher ledge.
"We could use that ledge" said Littlefoot.
"And we could knock down that tree and use it as a bridge" added Sonic. The other kids then nodded agreement. Sonic then looked at Cream.
"Don't worry. We'll have you guys out there in no time" Sonic said as he gave a thumbs-up.
Cream, Cheese, and the 2 kids nodded. The others then ran off to get to the other ledge.
Ducky moaned and held Chomper's arm. "Oh, I still don't like how high we are."
"I think it's kinda neat. Besides, our friends will help us" said Chomper. Cream then tried to get her leg free but then she fell on her back. She sighed in sadness. Cheese mumbled in sadness.
"I'm sorry guys" said Cream.
"It's okay Cream. I'm sure we'll get out of here soon" said Chomper. Suddenly, they heard a shaking of rocks. The 2 kids and 2 Mobians saw a large pile of rocks shaking. The rocks then rolled away and revealed Thud. The others gasped. Thud then shook his head and then growled at the group. Ducky, Chomper, and Cream screamed. Cheese mumbled in fear. Cream and the others covered their heads while shaking. They feared that they couldn't stop Thud. But after a few seconds, nothing happened. Thud didn't attack them. The group then stood back up in surprise.
"He's not eating us?" said Ducky. They saw that Thud's tail was stuck under another large pile of rocks. Thud tried to reach the group but he couldn't. He growled in annoyance. Fortunately, he was far away enough from Cream since she was stuck as well.
"Thud is stuck too. So, he cannot hurt us" said Cream. Cheese then mumbled in anger as the little Chao looked at Thud.
"Oh, that's nice of you Cheese" said Cream. Cheese then smiled.
Ducky and Chomper then felt confused. They guessed that Cream knew the Chao's tongue.
"What did Cheese say?" said Chomper.
"Cheese said that he'll protect us if Thud tries to hurt us" said Cream.
Chomper smiled. "Oh, thanks Cheese. But we need to get out of here. And we need to stay away from Thud's claws and teeth."
"Oh, I don't like being this close to a Sharptooth. (Chomper raised an eyebrow at Ducky) Well, a mean Sharptooth I mean" said Ducky.
Chomper then had an idea. "We need to get these rocks off Cream so she can fly us away from Thud."
Ducky and Cheese nodded. They started to push some rocks off. Thud still couldn't reach them. Cream then looked at Amy.
"I hope Amy wakes up soon" said Cream. The others agreed.
Meanwhile, Sonic and the others walked around to find a way up the other ledge. The earthquake changed some other parts of the cliffs. The pathways looked much different. They felt a little lost.
"I thought we just came this way" said Littlefoot.
"That dumb old earthshake changed everything" said Cera.
"At least that earthshake got us away from Thud" said Ruby. Ruby then told Cera that you've got to appreciate the good from the bad. Cera groaned but she knew Ruby had a point. They walked past another large pile of rocks. Suddenly, the rock pile began to shake.
"Another earthshake?" said Cera. The group then saw the pile break apart and revealed Screech. The mean raptor snarled at the group. He tried to bite Cera but he missed as Cera jumped back lightly. Cera then ran with the others. Sonic then jumped and kicked Screech in the head. Screech fell on his tummy. Sonic hmphed and ran back to the others. Screech then shook his head and stood back up. He then chased the group again. The group saw that they were heading back to a familiar place.
"We're heading back the way we came" said Cera.
"I think the way back behind us is worse" said Ruby. Spike mumbled in agreement. The group then skidded to a halt cause, they nearly bumped into Red Claw. The mean T-Rex roared at the group. The kids screamed. They looked behind themselves and saw that Screech was not too far. Sonic then looked at the kids.
"I'll distract them and you run" said Sonic. The kids nodded. Sonic then did his tornado move. He ran in a circle fast, creating a dust cloud and shooting some pebbles everywhere. Red Claw and Screech growled in annoyance and closed their eyes. The kids then ran past Red Claw. Sonic stopped his tornado and followed the kids. After a few seconds, the tornado disappeared and the dust settled. Sonic and the kids ran off. Red Claw and Screech saw that they were getting away. Red Claw roared for Screech to follow.
Back with the others, Chomper and Ducky kept taking some rocks off of Cream's foot. Ducky then pulled hard on one rock since it was stuck. She lost her grip and stumbled backwards. She got very close to the cliff. Chomper then caught her in time.
"Watch the edge Ducky" said Chomper.
"Yes, you must be careful" added Cream. Thud then made some growls. Chomper then heard that Thud was speaking in Sharptooth tongue.
"Yes, little ones. I can't eat you if you fall" Thud growled with a small grin.
Chomper then frowned and growled, "You're not going to eat her or any of my friends."
Cream then felt surprised and looked at Chomper. "You can understand what he's saying?"
Chomper then nodded. "Yes, and Thud's not saying nice things."
"What did he say?" said Ducky. Chomper didn't want to reveal the full details.
"Uh, he said that I was little" said Chomper.
"So, you want to eat them yourself?" growled Thud.
"No, they're my friends!" growled Chomper. Thud then laughed a Sharptooth laugh.
"What did he say?" asked Ducky.
"He said that he doesn't believe that I'm friends with you guys" said Chomper.
"Oh" replied Ducky. Cheese then mumbled something bravely at Thud. Chomper and Ducky looked at Cream.
"What did Cheese say?" said Chomper.
"Cheese said that he'll hurt Thud if he tries to hurt us" said Cream. Cheese then nodded. Chomper then said that they need to keep helping Cream get free. Ducky and Cheese nodded. The 2 kids and Chao helped Cream move some more rocks.
Meanwhile, Sonic and the kids then saw that they were by the caves that they already went to.
"Great, we're running in circles" groaned Cera. Petrie then suggested that they go back home but then Littlefoot then said that they must rescue their friends. Sonic said the same. They must reach that higher ledge. Petrie sighed then nodded in agreement. Sonic then spotted another pathway that led them to the higher ledge. The group then followed the pathway.
Back with the others, Thud still tried to get his tail free, but it was still stuck. A gust of wind then went by. Chomper and Ducky hugged themselves and shook a little. Suddenly, another large rock fell from the top of the ledge, and onto the rock pile of Thud's tail. Thud growled in pain. Ducky and Cream felt a little sad for Thud. Another large rock fell onto Cream's foot. Cream winced a little.
"Oh, I wish we could help Thud" said Ducky.
"I agree Ducky" added Cream.
"But if we do, he'll just eat us sooner" said Chomper. Ducky and Cream sighed in defeat. Ducky still felt like she wanted to help. She then stepped towards Thud. Thud then reacted by growling and snapping his jaws. Ducky then retreated. Chomper then glared at Thud.
"I won't let you hurt them. You're just a bully" growled Chomper.
"You won't stop me once I get free" growled Thud.
"I will stop you for sure" growled Chomper. Thud then let out a deep laugh. Chomper then turned his back on Thud. Ducky then felt really sad and sat down. Cream, Cheese, and Chomper noticed this. Chomper then sat by Ducky.
"Oh, I don't want to stay here all day. And Thud will be too much for you if he got free" Ducky said with sad eyes.
"Don't worry Ducky. We'll get out of here. Besides, you know we can trust our friends to help us" Chomper said with a small and gentle smile. Cheese then hugged Ducky. Ducky hugged back. Cream then smiled. Ducky started to feel better.
Meanwhile, Sonic then led the kids to some old trees with very large roots that were not planted deep, so they could get away from Red Claw and Screech. The 2 Sharpteeth followed the group to the roots but couldn't reach them. The group walked another way to find a way out.
"Oh, this why me no like adventures when we run into Sharpteeth" said Petrie.
"We have to help our friends Petrie" said Sonic.
"Besides, you know that they would do the same for us" said Cera.
Petrie sighed. "You right."
Ruby then said that she sees another way out of the roots. The others then followed. Ruby then thought of something.
"Um, Sonic? How come you don't always want to be around Amy?" asked Ruby. Sonic then stopped walking and raised both eyebrows. The others stopped too.
"Uh, it's kinda hard to explain" said Sonic.
"But why? She's your girlfriend isn't she?" said Ruby.
Sonic frowned. "She's NOT my girlfriend. SHE says she is but she's not."
The others felt surprised. Sonic then explained that the only reason Amy's in love with Sonic is because of his heroic deeds and how he saved her from Eggman many times.
"I believe that she just loves me because I helped her a lot" said Sonic.
"So, you weren't in love with her?" asked Littlefoot.
Sonic shook his head. "No, I like her very much as my friend. I just don't think that she's really in love with me though she says she is."
"But what if she really does love you? What if she really loves you for you and not for how you helped her?" said Ruby.
Sonic's eyes then went wide and then he blushed. "(Looks at the ground) Well, I... I... I don't know what to say about that."
"What's wrong with Amy being in love with you?" said Littlefoot. Cera rolled her eyes since they're mentioning romance.
Sonic sighed. "I don't know. Maybe it wouldn't work."
Littlefoot then smiled. "Well, either way. We would be happy for both you and Amy. (Looks at the others) Right guys?"
The others except Cera nodded. Spike mumbled "Uh huh."
Cera groaned and shook her head. Littlefoot then looked at Cera.
"Right Cera?" said Littlefoot.
Cera sighed. "Oh, fine."
Sonic then cheered up a little and smiled lightly. "Thanks guys."
"Now, let's go help our friends" Littlefoot said with determination.
"Right, let's go" said Sonic. The group then ran out of the large roots. They saw the high cliff where Chomper and Ducky are on.
"Nice work Ruby" said Littlefoot.
"Yes, but we still need to save our friends" said Ruby. The others nodded. The group then saw the pathway leading to the higher cliff. Red Claw and Screech were trying to pick up their scent.
Back with the others, Thud growled that no one was coming to help Chomper and Ducky. Chomper started to doubt himself.
Chomper sighed. "Thud's right though. I'm too little to protect you guys. I feel like I'm too little to do anything."
"That's not true Chomper" said Cream.
Chomper felt surprised. "Really?"
"Oh, yes, yes, yes. You may be little like me but today, you've been big enough on the inside to help us feel safe" added Ducky. Cheese then mumbled and Cream translated that Cheese said the same as Ducky. Chomper then felt really better. The small group then heard a moaning sound. Chomper, Ducky, Cream, and Cheese saw that Amy was starting to wake up. Amy then rubbed her head. The others then exclaimed, "Amy!"
Ducky and Chomper hugged Amy, so did Cheese. Amy then smiled.
"Hi guys. Are you ok?" said Amy. The others parted.
"We're ok. But Cream's stuck and Thud's over there" Chomper said as he pointed at Thud. Thud then snarled.
Amy frowned. "Did that mean Sharptooth hurt you guys?"
The others shook their heads. "No, we're fine. Thud's tail is stuck in that pile of rocks" said Chomper.
"The other one's awake. Good" Thud growled as he licked his snout. Amy then said that she'll help Cream get free and told the others to stand back. Amy then pulled out her hammer. Thud felt surprised. Amy then lifted her hammer high and slammed the pile of rocks on Cream's foot. The rocks came off of Cream. Cream smiled as she was finally free. She wiggled her free foot.
Cream sighed. "Much better." Cheese then hugged Cream and Cream hugged back. The others except Thud smiled.
"Hey!" called out a voice. The others gasped. They looked up to another high ledge. The voice belonged to Sonic. The others felt happy.
"You guys ok?" said Sonic.
"We are now" said Chomper. Sonic and the others saw Thud behind Chomper and Ducky.
"(Gasp) Watch out! Me see Thud behind you!" exclaimed Petrie.
"Don't worry. He won't hurt us" said Chomper.
Sonic and the others felt confused. "Maybe it's a different Thud" said Cera.
"He cannot get to us. He is stuck" Ducky said as she pointed at Thud. Thud still couldn't get his tail free.
"Me stay away. Just in case" said Petrie. The group then walked towards a nearby tree.
"Stand back guys!" Sonic called out to the others. The others backed up a little.
Sonic then used his spin dash and knocked the tree down. It landed over to the other cliff, making a bridge. The others cheered in happiness.
"Our friends may be smaller than Red Claw but they're big on the inside" said Ducky.
"You said it Ducky" said Cream. Cheese mumbled the same. The others then crossed the bridge. Chomper was the last to cross but he stopped half way. He then looked at Thud.
"I guess you win little Biter" Thud growled in defeat. Chomper felt sorry for Thud. He then walked back to the cliff.
"Chomper, what are you doing?" said Ducky.
"Being the bigger Sharptooth" answered Chomper. He walked over to Thud. Amy then looked at Thud.
"Hey, if you hurt him, I'll smash you good" Amy said with a frown and held her hammer in one hand.
Thud then frowned at Amy and then looked at Chomper.
"She really means it. I'm helping you cause I'm nice. So, don't eat me" growled Chomper.
Thud then groaned but nodded. Chomper then walked over and climbed up the big pile of rocks. He used his feet talons to scrape the rocks off. The pile was less heavy now. Chomper then got down.
"You can do the rest yourself" growled Chomper. Thud started to get his tail free. Chomper then said, "You're welcome" and crossed the tree back to the others. Amy then used her hammer on the tree and snapped in half. The tree then fell down below the cliffs.
"Oh, I'm very happy to be back with all of you. Yep, yep, yep" said Ducky.
"Me too" added Chomper.
"Let's head back home" said Ruby.
"Yeah, I think you guys have had enough adventures for one day" said Sonic. The others agreed. The group made their way back to the Valley. Thud finally got his tail free. He then made a great jump over to the other cliff. He barely made it and held onto the cliff. He then climbed back up. Thud made his way back too. The group was almost back to the caves that would lead them home. Suddenly, the ground began to shake again. A bunch of rocks flew into the air and formed 2 giant rock hands. The group gasped. The 2 hands then grabbed Amy and Cream. The 2 girls couldn't get free as they struggled. The hands held them high over the others. Suddenly, pillars of earth erupted from the ground and moved all around the kids. The pillars formed some kind of cage on the kids. Sonic then had a hunch who was behind this.
"What's happening?" Cream said as she struggled. Cheese tried to help free Cream but the rock hand was too strong. The Mobians and the kids then saw someone jump down from a smaller cliff. It was a certain Dome-Head that Sonic and the kids knew of. The Dome-Head crossed his arms.
"Daxter" Sonic said with a frown.
"Hello hedgehog" Daxter said with a dark grin.
"Who are you?" said Cream.
"And what do you want with Sonic?" added Amy. Daxter then frowned at Amy and Cream.
"That's none of your concern other hedgehog and rabbit. My business is with the Blue Runner" said Daxter. Daxter then looked back at Sonic.
Sonic then crossed his arms. "I guess you still want my time band."
Amy and Cream felt confused. The kids felt afraid at what Daxter would do next.
"Correct, and I'm done playing around. Hand over your time band or I'll crush those 2 girls" said Daxter.
Amy, Cream, and the kids gasped. Cera tried to bash the rock pillars but they were too sturdy. Before Sonic could say more, Thud then appeared from behind some rocks. Thud snarled at the group. Daxter then hmphed and created another rock hand. He then grabbed Thud. The Sharptooth struggled to get free. Daxter brought the hand over. Thud then snarled at Daxter.
"Pathetic Sharptooth, out of my sight" said Daxter. Daxter then made a back hand motion and the rock hand threw Thud far from them. The kids then gasped. Daxter looked at the kids.
"Oh, don't worry. Sharpteeth are tough anyways. He'll live" said Daxter. Cheese then flew and tried to hit Daxter. Daxter tried shooing Cheese away. He tried swatting at Cheese.
"Go away you stupid creature!" exclaimed Daxter. Sonic used the opportunity to charge up his spin dash. Cheese then hit Daxter on the head. Daxter then yelped, "Ow!" and rubbed his head. Cheese mumbled in anger. Daxter then growled in anger. He then swats at Cheese with a rock hand. Cheese managed to avoid the attacks. But Daxter landed a hit. Cheese flew and hit the ground. The Mobians and the kids gasped.
"Cheese!" exclaimed Cream. The rabbit tried harder to free herself. Amy then did the same but the rock hands were still too strong. Daxter then picked up Cheese with 2 rock fingers. He brought the rock hand over to him. Cheese then glared at Daxter.
"I think I'll get rid of you first, you little pest" said Daxter. The kids gasped. But before Daxter could do anything, he heard an explosion of rocks. He then looked up and saw that Sonic broke the rock hand that held Amy. Sonic and Amy landed. Amy then summoned her hammer and threw it hard at the other hand that held Cream. The rock hand broke apart. Cream then flew over and snatched Cheese away. The 3 Mobians and Chao glared at Daxter. Daxter glared back and summoned another rock hand. Sonic and Amy ran at Daxter while Cream and Cheese flew. Sonic and Amy avoided the smash attacks of the rock hands. Daxter then summoned earth pillars in front of him, but Sonic and Amy broke through them with little trouble. Daxter then jumped to one side and threw a green fireball. Sonic dodged and kicked Daxter. Amy then came over and hit Daxter with her hammer. Daxter then hit the rock wall. Daxter groaned in pain. Cream and Cheese then came over. They both slapped Daxter in the face. Daxter rubbed his face in pain.
Cream frowned. "That's for trying to hurt my friends!"
Cream and Cheese then flew back to Sonic. The Mobians and Chao stood their ground. Daxter then glared at the Mobians.
"This isn't over! I will get your time band someday!" exclaimed Daxter. The Dome-Head then used a giant fire ball on the rock wall. This caused a small falling of rocks. The Mobians and Chao covered their eyes since a dust cloud was made. After a few seconds, the dust settled. The Mobians saw no sign of Daxter. He escaped yet again.
"He's gone" said Cream.
"At least we showed him" said Amy.
Sonic then hmphed with a smile. "You can say that again."
Amy and Cream smiled as well. Cheese then felt happy. Sonic and Amy freed the kids from the rock cage. Sonic then explained about Daxter since Amy and Cream didn't meet him. He explained how Daxter was an alien dinosaur from another world who used magic from crystals. Amy, Cream, and Cheese felt astonished.
"So, why does he want your time band?" asked Amy.
"He wants the power of the emeralds to do something horrible" said Sonic.
"That's terrible. But why?" asked Cream.
"I'm not sure. But I won't let him near my friends. I'll always make sure he doesn't hurt you guys" said Sonic. The other Mobians smiled. Amy hugged Sonic.
"Thanks Sonic" said Amy.
"No problem" Sonic said as he hugged back. After they parted, Amy did something that Sonic didn't expect. She kissed him on the cheek. Sonic's eyes then went wide. He then blushed and Amy giggled. But then Sonic lightly smiled. This time, he didn't feel annoyed. Sonic and Amy looked into each other's eyes. The kids then laughed lightly. Sonic then cleared his throat cause he felt embarrassed.
"Okay, let's head back home now" said Sonic. The others nodded. Suddenly, Red Claw and Screech appeared. The kids screamed in fear. Red Claw roared and Screech snarled. Thud then appeared as well. Amy stepped forward and had an angry expression.
"That's it! I've had it with you bullies!" exclaimed Amy. The Pink Runner then pulled out her hammer. She began swinging the hammer in a fast way. She started to spin fast, and she created a tornado. The Sharpteeth snarled in surprise. The Sharpteeth tried to run but the tornado sucked them in. The tornado spun them around fast. The kids felt astonished by Amy's strength. Sonic then yelled that they should run while they have the chance. The others nodded. They ran back to the caves and went back to the Valley. After a few seconds, the tornado unraveled. The Sharpteeth felt really dazed. They shook their heads to clear their heads. They growled in annoyance since they lost their prey again.
Back in the Valley, the kids had more fun with the Mobians. Littlefoot believed that Sonic might be in love with Amy after all. Sonic was starting to spend more time with Amy. It was a pretty good day.
