(Series Intro)
Chapter 14: The Story Speaker
It was nighttime. Sonic and the dino kids sat by a crack in the earth. The crack provided heat from some lava like a campfire. Grandpa Longneck sat with the group and told them a couple of interesting stories. He now told them about the tree stars in the seasons.
"...And that's why tree stars change color before the cold times" said Grandpa Longneck.
"Wow. That was a great story grandpa" said Littlefoot. Sonic nodded. The others also agreed.
"Yes, tell us another story so we can listen to it" said Ruby. The other kids said the same. Sonic just listened.
Grandpa Longneck laughed lightly. "Alright. Now, let's see. (Thinks for a second) Oh, I know."
The elderly Longneck then told a story about a Longneck named Star Watcher. He told how many years ago, Star Watcher would go to a big hill every night to watch the stars. The stars then came down to say hello and asked Star Watcher if he would like to visit them in the sky.
The kids had looks of awe and wonder. Even Sonic thought the story was interesting.
"Are you sure that's how it happened? Maybe you're forgetting the stories in your old age" said a voice. The kids let out, "Huh?"
The group looked towards the voice. Another elderly Longneck came into view. He was light gray and tan colored. Grandpa Longneck instantly knew who it was.
"Saro? Is that you?" said Grandpa Longneck.
"It's me alright. I thought I'd never find you" said Saro. Grandpa Longneck thought that this friend of his had passed away long ago.
"I can't believe it! After all this time, I'd given up hope" said Grandpa Longneck.
"I never gave up. Like green food in cold times..." started Saro.
Grandpa and Saro spoke together. "It may shrink away, but it will always grow back."
Grandpa and Saro laughed together. Sonic smiled. Though he didn't know who Saro was, he knew that Grandpa and Saro were very good friends. The kids really wondered who Grandpa's friend was.
"Uh, Grandpa? Who is this?" said Littlefoot.
"Everyone, I would like you to meet an old friend of mine. His name is Saro" said Grandpa. Saro lowered his neck to get a nice look at Sonic and the kids.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all" Saro said with a smile.
The kids smiled. "It's nice to meet you too Saro" said Littlefoot. Saro then looked at Chomper and Sonic. He then had a confused expression.
"But who are these two? A Sharptooth? And a weird 2-legged Spike tail?" said Saro. Chomper then laughed nervously. Sonic smiled and waved.
Grandpa laughed lightly. "Oh, that's Chomper. He was hatched by Littlefoot, so he's a part of the family. (Looks at Sonic) And this is Sonic. He's a Wind Runner from another world. He helped Littlefoot to find the Great Valley a long time ago."
Saro looked perplexed. "Wow, really? A Wind Runner from another world? That's incredible. I know what a Fast Runner is, but I don't know what a Wind Runner is."
"A Wind Runner is someone who can run faster than the wind itself and even faster than a Fast Runner. Sonic is the fastest runner around here" said Grandpa Longneck.
Littlefoot nodded. "Yep, he sure is. (Looks at Sonic) Show him Sonic."
Sonic nodded and stood up. He then zoomed out near the Mysterious Beyond and then back to the group within a few seconds. Saro was astonished.
Saro smiled. "That's very good. I've never seen anyone who could outrun a Fast Runner."
Sonic smiled. "Thanks. It's what I do best."
Grandpa then explained how Chomper became good friends with Littlefoot after he hatched him, and he explained how Sonic fought a bad guy named Eggman. Saro was quite astonished about Chomper being a friendly Sharptooth and Sonic being a hero.
"And it was good to hear you tell one of the Longneck stories again" Saro told Grandpa Longneck.
"Yeah, Grandpa's great at telling stories" said Littlefoot. The others agreed.
"I know. Your Grandpa was a great Story Speaker" said Saro. The kids felt confused at what Saro said.
"Story Speaker? What's that?" asked Cera.
"A Story Speaker would travel the land telling all the great Longneck stories to all the Longneck herds" explained Grandpa Longneck.
"And YOU were a Story Speaker Grandpa?" asked Littlefoot. Grandpa Longneck nodded.
"Your grandpa was one of the finest Story Speakers ever. I tried to learn every story I could from him" said Saro.
"Oh, I just wanted everyone to remember our important past" Grandpa said with a small smile.
"Oh, me like stories" said Petrie. Spike mumbled in agreement.
"I like stories too. I do, I do" said Ducky. Littlefoot then asked his grandpa if he and Saro could tell the group one of the Longneck stories. The other kids agreed. Grandpa and Saro said that they could tell one great story. The kids felt excited and happy.
"Now, who knows how Longnecks got their name?" asked Grandpa Longneck.
"It is because they have long necks. Yep, yep, yep" said Ducky.
Cera rolled her eyes. "Everyone knows THAT."
Saro and Grandpa then told a story about Longnecks. They said that back then, Longnecks actually had short necks and they got long necks from the night circle (moon) after the bright circle (sun) made the plants grow really tall. The kids were fascinated by the story. Sonic just shook his head with a small smile. He didn't think the story was completely true, but he didn't say anything cause he didn't want to upset the kids. The kids really liked the story. Spike then munched on a flower nearby.
"All this talk about tree stars made Spike hungry" said Cera. The kids then laughed lightly. Sonic shook his head with a smile and let out a small chuckle.
It was about time to sleep soon, so the group went for a walk. Sonic and the kids were in front of Grandpa Longneck and Saro. Littlefoot then looked at his grandfather.
"It must've been great being a Story Speaker and telling great stories" said Littlefoot.
"It's an honor to be able to tell the great Longneck stories" said Saro.
"And a very important job" added Grandpa Longneck.
Sonic raised an eyebrow and thought, "Huh, I guess it's some kind of tradition of theirs. But who doesn't like stories?"
Saro then told Grandpa that some Longneck herds outside of the Valley were forgetting the great stories. Saro then told Grandpa that he has to come back to their old herd and be a Story Speaker again. Grandpa then stopped walking and looked at Saro.
"Well, I don't think I..." stammered Grandpa Longneck.
"We'll travel the land and tell the great Longneck stories again. Just like we used to" said Saro. Littlefoot then looked at his grandpa.
"So, you're gonna be the Story Speaker again?" asked Littlefoot.
"Of course he is" Saro said with a smile.
"It sounds like a good idea but I can't, Saro. (Saro's smile faded)" said Grandpa Longneck. "I'm sorry. I know how important the great Longneck stories are and I loved being a Story Speaker, but that was long ago. Things have changed. My place is here in the Great Valley, with my grandson, with Grandma, and all the others."
Littlefoot and Sonic smiled. Littlefoot was very happy that he wanted to stay with family and friends.
"But the Longneck herds need you, even I need you. YOU'RE the Story Speaker. I can't tell the stories on my own" Saro said with a sad expression.
"Saro, those days have passed. I'm afraid I can't" said Grandpa Longneck.
Saro then felt angry and disappointed. "So you would turn your back on all our traditions?"
Grandpa then felt upset. "Saro, I..."
"I cannot believe that you would do that. I have nothing more to say to you" Saro said with anger. Saro started to walk away.
"But Saro..." started Grandpa Longneck. Saro ignored Grandpa and walked further away. Sonic and Littlefoot watched Saro walk away. They both felt upset like Grandpa. Grandpa then walked away with his head hung low. Sonic and Littlefoot followed. Grandpa then stopped and sighed. Sonic and Littlefoot stopped by Grandpa.
"You ok grandpa?" asked Littlefoot.
"Man, I didn't know that the Longneck stories were THAT important" said Sonic.
Grandpa then said that he doesn't want Saro to be so upset but his days of being a Story Speaker are long gone. Grandpa then remembered the good times he had with Saro. He and Saro would tell lots of Longneck herds some impressive stories. They were like brothers. Grandpa felt upset that Saro doesn't want Grandpa to quit but that was in the past. But Grandpa believed that Saro could be the next Story Speaker.
"I'd hoped that Saro could be a Story Speaker himself" said Grandpa.
"Why didn't you tell him?" said Littlefoot.
Grandpa sighed. "I never got the chance and now, Saro is too angry to listen to me."
Grandpa then walked away. Sonic and Littlefoot then thought for a moment. Littlefoot then looked at Sonic.
"I can't let the Longneck stories be forgotten" said Littlefoot.
Sonic then smiled. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go find Saro."
Littlefoot then smiled and nodded. Sonic and Littlefoot then followed some of Saro's footprints. Littlefoot then felt a little on edge when he saw some more footprints.
"Uh oh. Saro's footprints lead to the Mysterious Beyond" said Littlefoot.
"Hey, it's no biggie. We'll find him. There's nothing I can't handle" Sonic said with a small smile. Littlefoot then had a small smile too and felt some relief. Suddenly, they heard some rustling near some bushes.
"Hey, who is it?" Littlefoot called.
Sonic then got ready. "Come on out. Show yourself."
"Yeah, we're not scared of you" added Littlefoot. Chomper then stepped out of the bushes.
"Why would you guys be scared of me?" said Chomper.
"It's only Chomper" Sonic said as he relaxed and crossed his arms.
"What are you doing here?" asked Littlefoot.
"I was following you guys cause I was curious. So, what are you guys doing?" said Chomper.
"We need to find Saro. Grandpa wants him to be the new Story Speaker" said Littlefoot.
"Well, then you both are going to need my sniffer so we can find him fast" said Chomper.
Chomper then sniffed the air a few times. At first, he didn't get much. He sniffed again. Chomper then raised both eyebrows.
"I got him!" exclaimed Chomper.
"Then let's go" stated Littlefoot.
"Let's find him" added Sonic. The 3 beings went to find Saro. They closely followed some footprints and Chomper used his strong sense of smell. After a few moments, Saro's scent led the 3 to a part of a river.
"It looks like he went through the Fast Water" said Chomper. "(Looks at the water) It looks big."
"Maybe to us, but not Saro. He's a full grown Longneck. He could just walk across" said Littlefoot.
"Maybe we can too" said Chomper. The little Sharptooth then tested the waters. At first, it was shallow but then Chomper sank after a few more steps. Chomper then swam back to his friends.
"I think it's too deep for me" said Chomper.
"It might not be too deep for Littlefoot" said Sonic.
"Yeah" agreed Littlefoot. Littlefoot then walked to a deep part of the water. Thanks to his long neck, it wasn't deep for him.
"Let's go" said Littlefoot.
"Can I get a ride?" asked Chomper.
"Sure. Hop on" said Littlefoot. Chomper then held on to Littlefoot's neck while Sonic used his skills to jump over the water. Sonic landed with little effort. Littlefoot then carried Chomper over to dry land. The 3 began to search for Saro again. Chomper's nose then led them to a high rocky ledge, though it wasn't too high for Saro.
"(Sniffs the air) He went over that ledge" said Chomper. "Of course, he could just step over."
Littlefoot then tried to climb. He managed to grab the ledge but he couldn't climb over. He grunted as he tried but he couldn't. Littlefoot then slid down.
"It's too high for me" said Littlefoot. Chomper then tried. He jumped as high as he could.
"Almost. (Grunts) Almost" Chomper said as he jumped a few times. But he couldn't reach the ledge. Chomper panted a little. Littlefoot and Sonic shook their heads.
"Not quite" said Littlefoot.
"Well, I can jump over this with no problem. But I don't think I can carry both of you over it" said Sonic.
Littlefoot nodded. "We'd be too heavy."
Littlefoot then looked at a pile of rocks nearby. "Maybe we can use those rocks over there."
Sonic then thought for a moment. He then had an idea. "Actually, we won't need any rocks."
"What do you mean Sonic?" asked Littlefoot.
"How will we get over the ledge?" added Chomper.
Sonic then smiled. "Let me show you."
Sonic then ran around both kids. In a few seconds, Sonic created a mini twister. Both kids then started to hover to the ledge. Both kids then smiled. Sonic then stopped.
"Hey, great idea Sonic" said Littlefoot.
"Yeah, using your powers to help us get over the ledge" said Chomper. The small twister pushed the 2 kids over the ledge. After a few seconds, the mini twister vanished and the kids landed softly. Sonic then jumped over the ledge and landed.
However, they didn't notice that Daxter was sleeping nearby. Daxter slept next to his meteor ship. Daxter then grunted when he heard the sound of the wind blowing a little hard from Sonic's twister. Daxter then rubbed his eyes.
"Now what is it?" Daxter grumbled with a yawn. Daxter then stood up and looked around. He then heard someone faintly say, "Let's go find Saro."
"Huh? What?" Daxter said as he raised an eyebrow. He looked behind himself and looked over a higher ledge. He saw Sonic, Littlefoot, and Chomper a little far off. They walked farther away. Daxter rubbed his chin.
"Now what do you suppose these 3 are doing in the middle of the night?" said Daxter. The Dome-Head then followed the 3 beings carefully by jumping to some higher cliffs. Chomper sniffed some more. The 3 beings kept walking. Daxter followed closely above them. The 3 beings heard someone sighing. The 3 followed the sound and found Saro. Saro looked behind himself and saw the others.
"There he is" said Chomper.
"Littlefoot? Chomper? Sonic? What are you guys doing following me?" asked Saro.
"We came to ask you to come back. You need to talk to my grandpa" said Littlefoot. Chomper and Sonic nodded. But Saro frowned. The 3 were a bit surprised.
"I don't have any more to say to him. I can't believe he would turn away from being a Story Speaker" said Saro.
"But why are you so mad at Littlefoot's grandpa?" asked Chomper.
"Because if he doesn't come with me as the Story Speaker, all the great Longneck stories will be forgotten" said Saro. The 4 beings didn't know that Daxter was just above them on a higher cliff, listening to everything.
"But why can't you be the Story Speaker?" said Chomper.
"Yeah, Littlefoot's grandpa says that you should be the next Story Speaker since you know some of the stories" added Sonic.
Saro still felt upset. "But HE's the Story Speaker, not me. I can't tell the stories on my own. I... (gets a little angry) I just can't!"
Saro then slams a large front foot down in anger. The 3 beings flinched as the ground shook a little. But because of Saro's stomping, the rocks from the higher cliffs started to come loose. Daxter then jumped aside quickly with a grunt as to avoid from falling off the cliff. A bunch of rocks started to crumble down towards the others.
"Oh, no! What have I done?!" exclaimed Saro.
"The rocks are falling!" exclaimed Chomper.
"Run!" exclaimed Sonic. The group ran to avoid the rockslide. Sonic dodged the rocks with ease but the 2 kids had trouble. They barely avoided the rocks. Some large boulders also fell. Saro ran as well. Suddenly, large rocks blocked the kids' path. The rocks trapped them in a circle.
Daxter then grinned. "Perhaps the rocks will take care of them."
"We're trapped!" exclaimed Littlefoot. Saro then ran back and put his long neck down to the kids.
"Quick, get on!" yelled Saro. The 2 kids then hopped on Saro's neck and Saro ran off. The kids held on tight. Sonic then ran with them.
"Good thinking Saro!" Sonic exclaimed with a smile. Saro nodded. The group ran a little far from the cliffs. Daxter felt surprised and then frowned. The group managed to get away. After a few seconds, the rocks stopped falling. Things started to settle. The group stopped running. Saro then lowered his head and the kids jumped off.
"Thank you Saro! You saved us" Littlefoot said with a smile.
Saro nodded. "Yes, but you shouldn't have followed me. Those rocks are now blocking the way back to the Great Valley."
Littlefoot and Chomper felt upset but not Sonic. He knew that they could figure out something.
"Oh no, we're trapped" Littlefoot said with a sad face.
"What are we going to do?" said Chomper. "What if we get stuck here forever?"
Sonic then put a hand on Chomper. "Hey, don't say that. We'll find a way. Remember, no matter what problem you're in, there's always a way out. You just have to believe it."
Sonic then smiled and winked at Chomper. Chomper then felt a little better.
Littlefoot then came in. "Sonic's right. We'll get out of here somehow."
From above the cliffs, Daxter was listening. A small but dark grin formed on his face.
"I'll show you something to be scared of" thought Daxter. The Dome-Head started to think of another plan.
Littlefoot and Chomper still felt sad and thought about their friends. Saro saw how the 2 kids were upset. He then looked at Sonic and thought for a moment. He raised both eyebrows. Maybe a story might cheer up the 2 kids.
"You know, hearing that Sonic could beat the wind, it reminds me of another story" said Saro. "Have you ever heard of the story of Tall Stepper?"
"Tall Stepper? I don't think so" said Littlefoot. Chomper and Sonic raised an eyebrow. Saro then began to tell the story of Tall Stepper. Tall Stepper was another Longneck. Tall Stepper played with his sister but the wind got jealous. It took his sister away and it would only release her if Tall Stepper could beat the wind in a race down the rocky hill. Tall Stepper ran and managed to beat the wind. The wind brought back his sister as promised. Tall Stepper grew to be a great leader cause he remembered how he turned brave and beat the wind.
Daxter listened to the story. Daxter then raised both eyebrows and then grinned darkly.
"That's it! I'll use the wind to get them" said Daxter. While Saro told more of the story, Daxter looked around for a leaf. He found one stuck by a rock. He then tossed the leaf and let the wind push the leaf. He then grabbed the leaf and closed his hand.
"Ventus imperium" chanted Daxter. The gauntlet glowed. Daxter then opened his hand, revealing a light green crystal. Daxter then crushed the crystal and a green mist covered his hands. The mist then vanished. Daxter then waved his hands around. Wind started to circle around Daxter. Daxter stopped and the wind also stopped. Daxter then rubbed his hands while chuckling evilly. He could now summon wind.
Meanwhile, Saro finished the story of Tall Stepper. The great Longneck became a wise and brave leader.
"And sometimes, when I need courage. I think of the story of Tall Stepper" Saro said with a light smile.
The 2 kids were astounded by the story. Sonic liked the story too though he didn't believe in it but it was entertaining.
"Wow, that's a good story Saro. Thanks for telling us" Littlefoot said with a smile. Even Chomper felt good.
"Yeah, I feel even better now by hearing that story" Chomper said with a light smile. Littlefoot then looked at Sonic.
"It looks like you're not the only one who can beat the wind Sonic" said Littlefoot. Sonic smiled and shrugged with his hands.
"I guess so" replied Sonic. Suddenly, everyone heard someone yell "Littlefoot?"
"Grandpa?" replied Littlefoot. The group then spotted a little Flyer who was Petrie.
"Littlefoot! Chomper! Me find you!" exclaimed Petrie.
"Petrie!" exclaimed both Littlefoot and Chomper. Petrie then flew back and said over the blocked path, "Over here. Me find them!"
Petrie then flew over the rocks. Suddenly, the blocked path started to move. The large rocks started break apart, revealing Grandpa, Grandma, and another Longneck. The adults managed to open the path.
"There you are" said Grandpa Longneck.
"Is everyone alright?" asked Grandma Longneck.
"We're ok grandma" said Littlefoot. The other kids then showed up too.
"Hey, how did you find us?" said Littlefoot. The other kids explained how they followed Littlefoot and Sonic's footprints, they heard the large rocks fall, and heard their yells. Both Littlefoot and Chomper felt happy that their friends came. Littlefoot then explained how Sonic used a mini twister to help both kids to find Saro. Sonic then nodded and did a mini twister. The kids laughed lightly. Sonic shrugged. But then Sonic noticed that his mini twister didn't disappear. He raised an eyebrow. Suddenly, the mini twister grew bigger and caught Sonic. Sonic couldn't escape the twister. He was hovering helplessly. The kids gasped. The adults felt confused.
"What's happening?" asked Littlefoot.
"I think Sonic ran too hard" said Cera.
Sonic shook his head. "It's not me guys. It's something else."
"That would be me" said a voice. Everyone looked up towards the rocky hills. Daxter jumped to a high cliff nearby and revealed himself. He had a dark grin. He was just above the group.
"It's Daxter!" exclaimed Littlefoot.
"Yes, and now you're mine" said Daxter. The mean Dome-Head moved his hands around in a circle. Suddenly, another twister appeared by Littlefoot and Chomper. Both kids tried to run but the tornado sucked them in. The 2 kids hovered helplessly. Daxter then lifted the twister high. The Dome-Head then summoned a bunch of sharp rocks with the wind. He spun them under the 2 kids in a separate whirlwind. Both kids gasped in fear. Daxter then looked at Sonic.
"Now, hand over your time band hedgehog, or these 2 kids will be made Sharptooth bait" said Daxter. Sonic glared at Daxter. The adults and the other kids gasped. Grandpa got mad.
"You release my grandson at once!" exclaimed Grandpa Longneck.
Daxter then glared at Grandpa. "This doesn't concern you Longneck! Now, stay where you are, or you'll never see your grandchild again!"
Grandpa and the other adults didn't move. Grandpa was really mad at Daxter. He feared at what would happen to Littlefoot and Chomper.
"How do I know you'll keep your word?" said Sonic.
Daxter narrowed his eyes at Sonic. "Don't test me rat."
Daxter then moved his hand downward. The wind pushed Littlefoot and Chomper closer to the sharp rocks. Both kids had frightful expressions. Both kids yelled, "Help!"
Sonic then thought hard. But he knew that he couldn't move to stop Daxter since he was also caught in a whirlwind. He then thought that he has to give in. He can't allow the kids to get hurt. But then a thought came to his head. He remembered how Saro's anger caused the rockslide. He raised both eyebrows and had an idea. He looked at Saro.
"Hey Saro" said Sonic.
"Yes Sonic?" said Saro.
"Remember when you got angry at Grandpa?" said Sonic.
"Well, yes. But why?" said Saro. Sonic then nudged his head at Daxter. Saro looked up where Daxter was at. Saro felt confused for a moment but then he raised both eyebrows. He now knew what Sonic meant. He looked at Sonic with a sly grin and nodded. Sonic then told the other kids to take some cover. The others didn't understand but they listened. Daxter felt confused. Saro then stomped down a few times when his front feet. The ground shook really hard. The higher cliffs started to shake as well. The cliffs were starting to break. Daxter then lost his balance and fell on his back. Saro then kept a safe distance from the falling rocks. The twisters that held Sonic and the 2 kids unraveled. Sonic landed just fine but the 2 kids were falling. Grandpa Longneck managed to catch the 2 kids on his neck and the sharp rocks fell somewhere else. The adults then avoided the large rocks that fell. Daxter then fell off the cliff, but he regained himself by creating a small twister below him. He then flew over the cliffs away from the rockslide. Daxter got away again. Sonic then hmphed. He managed to stop Daxter again.
By another cliff, Daxter looked back at the others. Daxter then growled in anger and stomped his foot down.
"One day... those emeralds will be mine and I will crush that rat, and those troublesome kids. One day" Daxter said with narrowed eyes. Daxter then jumped far away using his wind spell.
After a few moments, the rockslide stopped. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Grandpa and Saro looked at Sonic.
"That was a good plan Sonic. Using another rockslide to stop that mean Dome-Head" said Saro.
Sonic nodded. "Thanks."
Saro then asked about Daxter. Sonic then explained that Daxter was an alien dinosaur who could use magic with crystals. Saro was quite perplexed about Daxter. Sonic then said that it was no trouble and that he's faced stronger bad guys.
"Well, thank you again for saving Littlefoot and Chomper" said Grandpa Longneck.
"You're welcome" said Sonic. The kids then hugged Sonic and Sonic laughed lightly.
"I think it's time we now head home and get some rest. The Bright Circle will soon rise" said Grandma Longneck.
"I agree" said Grandpa Longneck. The others also agreed. The group started their way back. Grandpa then looked at Saro.
"Uh, Saro? There's something I wanna talk to you about" said Grandpa Longneck.
"About what I said earlier? I'm really sorry about that" said Saro.
"No, no Saro. I think you should be the new Story Speaker" said Grandpa Longneck.
"M-Me? But I can't tell the great stories without you" said Saro.
"But Saro. You told me, Sonic, and Chomper a good story. The one about Tall Stepper" said Littlefoot.
"Me and Littlefoot felt scared but your story made us feel better" added Chomper.
"And Sonic helped too" said Littlefoot. Sonic nodded. Sonic then looked at Saro.
"And your story wasn't too bad. It was a little encouraging" said Sonic.
"Well, I..." started Saro.
Grandpa then told Saro that he used a good story to comfort the kids and to teach a good lesson about bravery.
"That's what a great Story Speaker does" said Grandpa Longneck.
"So, you really think I'm ready to be a Story Speaker?" said Saro.
"I know you are" replied Grandpa Longneck.
"I agree" said Littlefoot.
"Me too" added Chomper. Sonic nodded and the other kids also nodded.
"I just wish that I told you sooner" said Grandpa Longneck.
Saro felt surprised but happy. "I don't' know what to say."
Littlefoot laughed. "I thought Story Speakers always have something to say."
Saro let out a laugh. "You're right. And I now know of one story I can tell others. (Looks at Sonic) The one about a hero who fought a mean Dome-Head."
Sonic smiled and nodded. The kids smiled as well. Even Grandma and Grandpa.
"You know, this reminds me of another story of the very first Story Speaker" said Saro. "Her name was First Voice."
Saro continued his story as the group went back to the Valley. The kids really enjoyed the story. Sonic knew that even though some stories are not true, they can be encouraging and inspiring.
End of Chapter 14
