Chapter 3. Explanation
Autobot Base
Ratchet activated the Ground Bridge when he received the order. When Team Prime emerged from the vortex he was glad everyone made it back alive.
When he saw Miko was ready to rip into her for such a reckless stunt. But his attention was grabbed by the new arrivals. Two human teenage boys and two teenage girls.
"Oh Primus no." Ratchet said before addressing his fellow Autobot's "Please tell me you're calling Agent Fowler."
"Look Ratchet we're just followed protocol. Optimus' orders." Arcee sassed.
Ben and his team took a moment to wait for the disorientation to wear off.
"Oh man, it feels like my stomach is spinning like a washing machine." Kevin said holding his stomach.
"It feels like my bones are vibrating." Gwen said in a shudder.
"Don't worry. You'll get use to it." Miko said with smile.
"Can somebody please explain why are there four more humans in our base?!" Ratchet asked wanting to know what's going on.
"The Energon signal was a trap. Set up by the Decepticon's. We were holding our own until we saw Jack and Miko were about to be killed." Optimus said recapping what happened.
"Which still could've been avoided if someone hadn't followed us." Arcee said giving a certain Japanese girl an angry look. Causing her to look down in shame since it was her fault she and Jack almost got killed.
"And before we knew that Con had his head removed from having a rock thrown at him." Bulkhead said continuing the story.
"Yes and thrown by you I take it." Ratchet said knowing the Wrecker's use of brute force.
"Actually Ratchet it wasn't Bulkhead. It was the human called Ben Tennyson." Bumblebee said.
"What?!/What?!" Ratchet and Raf asked at the same time.
"It's true. We practically had a front row seat to these guys trashing the Decepticon's." Jack said indicating to the superpowered teens.
"I find a human felling one Decepticon unbelievable. Let alone four humans taking out an entire platoon." Ratchet said not believing them.
"You weren't there Ratchet. These kids did things we've never seen any other human do before." Bulkhead said coming to the defense of those who saved Miko and Jack.
"Bulkhead we have been on this planet for three years and not once have we seen or heard of any humans displaying any superpowers." Ratchet said.
"Well guess again." Kevin said as he turned into stone having absorbed sone matter from the floor.
"By the Allspark!" Ratchet exclaimed upon seeing this.
"Whoa!" Raf says in childish awe.
Gwen stepped up and showed off her powers too by making a slide made of mana. It connected from the human area to where their team was.
"Why don't come down sweetie?" Gwen asked in a kindly tone.
Raf was a bit nervous as he asked "Uh is it safe?"
"Definitely. I promise nothing bad will happen." Gwen vows with her hand on her chest.
Raf looks at the mana slide before getting onto it. The he just slides on down while laughing.
"That was amazing! How did you do that?" Raf asked the orange hair teen.
"Magic." Gwen stated with a shrug.
"Magic?! Real magic?!" Raf asked in glee.
"Yep." Gwen answered liking the fact that she brought a smile from the young preteens face.
"Ok I think we've had enough show and tell. How about we get to the part where we get some answers?" Arcee asks believing they've put this off long enough.
"Her attitude aside, Bluey over there's right." Ben said before continuing "How about we reintroduce ourselves to those who don't know our names?"
Ben told introduced himself and his team to Ratchet and Raf. Both of whom introduced themselves as well.
"Ok now care to tell us what are you guys?" Ben asked the Autobot leader.
Optimus stepped forward and said "We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron also known as Autobot's."
Julie then asked "If you guys are from another world then why are out here on Earth?"
"To protect your planet from the Decepticons." Optimus answered.
"The jokers who almost killed Jack and Miko." Arcee said about the Con's they fought.
"Ok then why are they here?" Ben asked.
Kneeling down Optimus explained "A fair question Ben. In part they are here for two reasons. The first is to conquer Earth and to enslave humanity or bring about their extinction. The second is because our planet is no longer habitable; ravished by centuries of civil war."
"Why were you fighting a war?" Gwen asked as she and her friends didn't like war.
"Foremost over our world's supply of Energon. The fuel and lifeblood of all Autobot's and Decepticon's alike." Optimus said before explaining "The combat was fierce and endured for centuries. In the beginning I fought alongside one whom I considered a brother. But in war ideals can be corrupted and it was thus that Megatron lost his way."
"Man, fighting a war for centuries. I can't even imagine." Kevin said as while he enjoyed a good fight that didn't mean he would want to get involved in a war unless their team had no choice.
"So this Megatron guy plans to take over Earth but are trying to stop. That about sums it up, right" Ben asked.
"Indeed. Although Megatron was destroyed along with his Space Bridge when he tried to bring an army of Cybertron's dead to Earth." Optimus said surprising the four when he mentioned the army of robot zombies.
"Ok but if this Megatron guy is dead then why haven't they left Earth?" Gwen asked.
"While the Decepticon's are in disarray they are not without leadership. Megatron's second in command, Starscream, took over. And while he is no Megatron he is far from predictable." Optimus said.
The team looked at each other finally understanding the situation they were in.
"Ok now it's your turn. How is it that you have all those powers?" Arcee asked.
Ben stepped up and said "To answer that we should inform you that we're not from around here."
"And by around here he means we are from an alternate universe." Gwen clarified.
The Autobots and their human friends were a bit flabbergasted upon hearing that until Ratchet said "An alternate universe? Preposterous! Alternate universes are a theory at best. Even amongst Cybertron's greatest minds."
"Well guess again doc because it's 100% true. We're living proof." Kevin said with a smirk.
"And besides how do you explain our powers?" Gwen asked summoning mana through her hands.
"They've got a point doc. After all you did say humanity never displayed any powers since we've been here." Bulkhead said.
"Nor have they had anything like that green and black creature of theirs either." Bumblebee stated.
"Black and green creature? What are you talking about Bee?" Raf ask his guardian and best friend.
"He's talking about our buddy Ship kid." Kevin answered for the scout.
At that all members of Team Prime turned towards the Osmosian teen.
"What?" Kevin asked wondering why they giving him all the attention.
"You can understand me?!" Bumblebee asked in shock.
"Not just him. We all can." Gwen said indicating to their whole team.
"Oh great. Now we got four more humans who can understand Bumblebee besides me and Jack." Miko said while crossing her arms in a pout.
"Actually it's one human, two quarter humans, one half human, and one alien." Ben corrected the girl.
That caught the bots and kids off guard.
"What?!" Ratchet asked.
"Like you guys, with the exception of Julie here" Ben said gesturing towards his girlfriend "we aren't entirely human. Granted Ship is an alien. Kevin is half human and half alien. Gwen and I are a quarter alien from our grandmother's side."
"If you're not entirely then what are you and who's Ship?" Bulkhead asked.
Kevin answered first "To answer your question big guy I'm half human from my mom's side and half Osmosian from my dad's side. Osmosian's can absorb matter and energy. Like how you saw me do when it touched the ground."
"Amazing. That would explain how you were able to turn into stone." Ratchet said while rubbing his chin.
"Me and Ben are a quarter Anodite from our grandmother's side. Our human side comes from our dads and grandpa. Anodite's are beings that are comprised of mana and are able to manipulate it. It the life energy of all organics." Gwen explained as she conjured a ball mana.
"Cool." Raf said look at the ball of energy with wonder.
"Hey, what about Ben? When we saw him he was that huge dinosaur alien." Miko said remembering the smack down he gave the Con's as Humungousaur.
"Dinosaur alien?" Ratchet asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Heh heh oh yeah, that was a beautiful sight. The way tore through those Con's was worthy of any Wrecker." Bulkhead said with chuckle.
"That guy is actually a Vaxasaurian. I call him Humungousaur." Ben explained.
"Catchy name. But how did you turn into him?" Miko asked wanting to know.
"With this." Ben said showing her the Ultimatrix.
"A wristwatch? Really dude?" Miko asked in an unimpressed tone.
"This isn't a wristwatch Miko. It's a device that lets me turn into different aliens and let's me use their powers." Ben said making the Japanese girl perk up at hearing he has other transformations.
"Different aliens?" Miko asked in excitement.
"Long story short this is called the Ultimatrix. It's the successor of the Omnitrix." Ben said showing everyone the wrist mounted device.
"Ultimatrix?" Bulkhead asked.
"I'll explain later. Anyway this thing contains the dna of many different aliens. Thus the reason why I can turn into said aliens." Ben explained.
"Out of curiosity what powers does the Ultimatrix grant you?" Ratchet asked.
Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and Julie gave each other knowing smirks. Ben then listed off all the powers he has.
"Super strength, super speed, invulnerability, regeneration, duplication, size shifting, invisibility, intangibility, increased intellect, flight, energy absorption/redirection/projection, elemental abilities, I can breathe underwater and space. The list is endless." Ben said enjoying the shocked looks on the Autobot's faces. Even their human charges couldn't hide the astonishment from their own faces.
"Ahem well that's uh quite a list." Ratchet said still in shock.
"Um how many alien transformations do you have?" Jack asked while trying to process what he and the others heard.
Ben put his hand on his chin and thought to himself. He then said "Right now I have twenty-two transformations at least that's currently available. The rest are still locked away."
"And how many transformations would have in total if you had access to all of them?" Arcee asked.
"Oh I would have over a million." Ben said casually but in all honesty he just wanted to see their reactions. And he was not disappointed.
All of Team Prime were even more shocked than before. This human has the power of an entire army on his wrist.
Miko looked like she was on the verge of having a sugar rush.
Raf the spoke up while still shocked "Um you guys mentioned a friend of yours named Ship. Where is he?"
Julie then stepped and showed him Ship in the form of a bracelet.
"This is Ship. It's ok Ship you can show yourself." Julie said gently.
What happened next surprised the Autobots, Jack, Miko, and Raf. Ship fell from Julie's wrist and took his dog form.
"Ship. Ship. Ship." the little techno organic said while acting like an Earth dog.
"Aw! He's so cute!" Miko gushed coming over and started petting Ship on the head with Raf joining her. To which he leaned into.
"Why do you call him Ship? Besides that being the only thing he says." Jack asked while looking at the little blob like alien. Even he had to admit Ship was cute.
Once again Team Tennyson looked at each other with knowing smirks. They were loving these reactions. Especially from the giant alien robots.
"How about I show you? But first you guys may want to step back." Julie said before taking Ship into her arms.
After the Autobots stepped back Julie turned to Ship and said "Ship show 'em your stuff." before tossing him into the air where he began to transform into his battle ship mode.
"Ship." the no longer small techno organic said in a deeper voice.
(AN: Many of you already know what Ship's battle ship mode looks like but to those who don't just google it.)
Team Prime were all beyond the point of being shocked. First they find a team of young humans who also happen to have superpowers thanks to their alien families, with only one of the four being human, and now they were staring at a symbiotic alien that just transformed into a battle ship.
Even the kids (Jack, Raf, and Miko) were wide eyed from what they were seeing. With a certain rock n roll loving girl no longer able to contain herself.
"THIS IS SO TOTALLY AWESOME!" Miko yelled upon seeing Ships transformation.
"Woah!" Bumblebee exclaimed in beeps and bloops.
"Now that's a battle ship!" Bulkhead said feeling impressed by what he and the others were seeing.
"By the Allspark!" Ratchet said looking Ship over. Wondering how something so small could become a deadly ship.
"Well at least we have some flyers on the team. That's a plus." Arcee stated since the Con's have them beat in air superiority.
"Can we see him turn into that battle armor too? Please?" Miko asked or more like begged.
"Battle armor?" Ratchet asked looking at the girl.
Julie just turned to Ship and said "Come on Ship. Battle armor."
The giant aircraft morphed into his blob form and wrapped itself around Julie. Turning into its battle armor mode.
Ratchet and Raf, having been the only ones to not see this, were shocked. The former stepped forward to get a better look.
"Astonishing." Ratchet said in scientific wonder. He then asked "If you don't mind could I do a quick scan of your pet?"
"Ship is more of a friend than a pet. But you would have to ask him." Julie said as Ship removed himself from his human friend.
The little Galvanic Mechamorph just nodded his head. Giving Ratchet the go ahead. The Autobot medic deployed his scanner and ran it horizontally on Ship.
After he was done Ratchet deactivated his scanner and looked at the monitor on his armor.
"Amazing." Ratchet said as he began to mutter to himself.
Optimus finally spoke up and asked "How did you come upon this device and how did you end up in our universe?"
Ben told the tale of how he acquired the first Omnitrix and all the adventures he's had when he was 10. Which surprised the Autobots, Jack, Raf, and Miko greatly. All the way to when he retired from the hero business until he placed the Omnitrix back on when his and Gwen's grandfather went missing. He even told them of the enemy's they've fought against.
Of course Gwen and Kevin filled in a few things that he left out. And how his fame going to his head nearly costed him his relationship with Julie. To which she said she forgave him for.
Ben then told them that he and his team were enjoying some smoothie's until a bright light appeared and the next thing they knew all four woke up in the Canadian wilderness. And the rest is history.
All of Team Prime couldn't help but be surprised by what they were told. Optimus couldn't help give them great respect to the four youths for choosing to use their abilities for the greater good and somehow make it through the most harshest of times.
Bulkhead has always given respect to those who have shown great courage when the need called for it. A certain scout being one of them despite his age and what he lost. To hear that these kids went through so much and come out alright made him think they were the equivalent of his old war unit the Wreckers.
Bumblebee had to give credit where credit is due. And these kids very much earned it. He honestly believes that if there were more Autobots like them then maybe they would've saved Cybertron.
Ratchet didn't really know what Optimus saw in humanity but perhaps these four will help him see that. Plus the level of technology they have was almost on par with that of Cybertronian technology. And yet they use it for noble deeds. Remembering that Ben said about having aliens that have increased intellect he would like to see how smart they were.
Arcee at first didn't have much trust in the four human/alien hybrids but the fact that they saved Jack and Miko made her think that maybe she should give them the benefit of the doubt. Plus she had to admit that having them on their side might be a great boon. Especially Ben since he has access to multiple alien transformations. That in turn makes him unpredictable since no one knows what he will turn into next. Which in her book gives him an advantage.
Jack, Miko, and Raf could only look upon the five with great respect and awe. The youngest of the three having child-like admiration for them. They were like those heroes they've seen in those cartoon shows.
"Optimus I gotta ask: are you gonna have them join Team Prime?" Miko asked before continuing "Because that would be awesome."
"You know she's got a point. They could be of great help against the Con's." Jack said in agreement with Miko.
"Plus they're in another universe with no where to go." Raf stated.
All the Autobots turned towards their leader for an answer since it was his decision.
"If that is their choice." Optimus said wanting to give Team Tennyson the chance to choose if they are willing to join their fight.
Ben and his team looked at each other before he said to Optimus "Give us a moment."
Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and Julie huddled together. Ben asked his team "So what do you guys think?"
"Honestly I don't want to get involved in a war." Gwen said.
"We should be focusing on finding a way home." Kevin said agreeing with his girlfriend.
"But how are we gonna do that?" Julie asked before pointing out "The only technology that could get us home are located back in our universe."
"Plus it's not like we have anywhere else to go." Ben stated before saying "The only ones who can get us home are either grandma Verdona or Professor Paradox. And I have no idea how to call them. Especially from the universe we're in."
"Good point." Gwen said thinking about what he laid out on them.
"So we're gonna join them then?" Kevin asked already knowing the answer but still wants to hear it.
"Not like we have a choice." Julie stated.
Team Tennyson broke their huddle and turned to the Autobots. Ben stepped forward and said "We've decided we're joining you in your fight."
Optimus gave them a smile. While he wouldn't have minded them staying out of their war but after they came to the aid of his comrades it is highly unlikely the Decepticons would not come after them for revenge.
"Then allow me to welcome you all to Team Prime." Optimus said while kneel and offering his left finger to Ben.
Knowing what Optimus was doing the green eyed shapeshifter reached out and shook the finger. But when he did...
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The Ultimatrix began to beep. Grabbing everyone's attention.
Unknown alien DNA detected. Commencing scan.
Suddenly a yellow beam shot out of the Ultimatrix and went up and down on Optimus like a scanner. The light then went back into the Ultimatrix.
Unknown alien DNA acquired. Scan complete.
Everyone was silent at first until Ratchet spoke in alarm as he ran to his leader "Optimus! Are you alright?!"
"I do not feel any discomfort Ratchet. Whatever that beam was didn't harm me." Optimus calm replied while Ratchet scanned him to make sure nothing was wrong with his friend.
"What did you do to him?!" Arcee asked as well as demanded.
"Nothing. The Ultimatrix just scanned him." Ben answered in a placating manner.
"Why?" Arcee asked again.
"I don't know. It only ever does that when-." Ben suddenly stopped as he looked at his team.
"You don't think-?" Gwen asked.
"Oh this is gonna be good." Kevin smirked.
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked curiously.
"We think Ben now has the ability to turn into a Cybertronian." Gwen answered making every Autobot and their human charges gap in astonishment.
"I wanna see! I wanna see! I wanna see! I wanna see! I wanna see!" Miko exclaimed while jumping up and down like a child on sugar.

On the Nemesis
On the bridge of the Decepticon warship, Starscream stood before the three surviving Decepticon troops that he sent to ambush the Autobots along with the 27 that are no longer among the living.
"So you mean to tell me that you not only failed to destroy the Autobot's but you also ran like cowards?!" the Seeker asked with a voice full of anger.
"Forgive us, Lord Starscream, but just as we were going to destroy the Autobot's we were set upon by a creature we've never seen before and three human youths." a Vehicon trooper said.
That caught Megatron's former SIC off guard until he started to chuckle. Which evolved into laughter.
"A creature and three humans youths? How much of a fool do you take me for?" Starscream asked not believing a word the trooper said. To him, humanity was nothing more than race of weak organics.
Footsteps soon caught his attention. Seeing who it was, Starscream asked in annoyance "Soundwave, what is it?"
Instead of saying anything, the Communications Chief activated the monitor and displayed what Laserbeak recorded.
And what Starscream saw made his eyes widen in shock and his jaw drop. The three humans and the creature that were mentioned began decimating the troops and rescued the Autobot's human pets.
He saw one human absorb metal from a down Vehicon trooper and morph his hands into melee weapons. One of the females humans shot a purple ray and at the troops who were down and destroy their heads. The other female was flying in a green and black battle armor while blasting them from the sky.
Which begs the question that is currently going through his head 'Why in the name of the Allspark didn't those fools take to the air?!'
And when he saw the giant creature, he honestly couldn't understand where such a creature came from or how the humans came in possession of it. After the battle came to an end, he got his answer when the creature changed into a human with a green jacket.
'How did that human become that beast?!' Starscream asked as he found such a thing impossible.
Once again he got his answer when Laserbeak zoomed in on the gauntlet like device on the human's left wrist.
'So that's how he did it.' Starscream thought.
Turning to the troops he said "It would seem you were telling the truth."
"Yes, Lord Starscream." the trooper said in confirmation.
"Very well. Dismissed." Starscream said with the troopers bowing before departing.
Starscream then said "So you have some new allies, Optimus Prime. No matter. These bugs will be no match for the Decepticon army. And soon I will have that humans device for my own. Once I do all will recognize the might of Starscream."
