Mai disappears after JSPR shuts it doors only to reappear in Oliver’s class 5 years later. Unfortunately a complication arrives in the form of a soulmate bond.

A year after Naru leaves for England, Mai is just starting to pick up the pieces of her life. Just as the trend begins, Naru returns and reopens SPR and takes on the case. There appears to be a real spirit coming to people who try it.

A year ago, Naru unearthed Gene's body and left for England, leaving Mai to grieve for the loss of them both. After his return, he quickly discovers that nothing is as he left it.
