Let us remember in mourning for the death of Li Wenliang In his effort to warn the world about the plague to come was silenced and harassed by the Chinese government to speak and reveal the truth.
This chapter will be dedicated to him because of the nature of this chapter. I will take this seriously and I'm uncomfortable with telling this story considering millions of lives have perished because of governmental incompetence in both domestic and foreign.
(Let us pray for Lin Weliang to have peace in heaven. Rather than tell the story from his POV I'll make it from some random internet citizen in Wuhan. I'm uncomfortable writing for someone that is so noble to be written in fanfic.)
I'm this late because American politics has been crazy for the last two months and I have to re-plan the story. I genuinely don't know what to write because of it. Like for example couch fucker J. D, sorry, I mean, JD Vance.

Tuhao tries desperately to calm his nerves as he drives towards an elite supermarket. He is in a hurry as just last night he had heard from his cousin that his doctor friend just found a new strand of virus that is similar to SARS, a plague that hit China before, normally he wouldn't be in a hurry but when his cousin told him that Wuhan might be ground zero for the virus he immediately act. There's a virus research lab in the city. While he never doubted their competency on how to handle their research subject, his instinct screamed at him to expect the worst.
He chose an elite supermarket because of how little people usually go there and the place has cheap and expensive products with things he needed in ample supply. Non-perishable food, soap and shampoo, water and its filtration, box upon box of mask, and other miscellaneous items he thought would be useful in the coming inevitable lockdown from the government. It cost him a pretty penny but he doesn't care he's quite rich, working as a CTO for Tencent is a good paying job, even though it put a halt to the plan he made with his wife to invest in Evergrande, a large property company.
He deliberated whether or not to buy a weapon to protect himself but remembering his experience on the last virus that hit China the central government managed to keep the peace, so he made a decision against it. Still just to be safe he bought an easy to set up camera system to install at his home where his wife and daughter are currently he told to stay in fear of them getting the disease. He himself is wearing a gas mask that is rated for protection against viruses that he bought for the fun of it, his friend was the one goading him to do it for cosplay reasons. Whenever authorities or anyone questioned him why he is wearing a gas mask in public he just told them he is wearing it for pleasure and he finds it quite amusing to see people's reactions on the internet and lols. That was surprisingly a good reason for most people in this day and age.
He can go outside the country, he has enough money for it. It's just that his daughter does not have a passport for them to go out of the country. Beside the passports There's another reason why he didn't want to go out, the possibility of racism when he is outside his home country. He had heard the story of what is happening outside how his fellow countrymen are being subjected to racism and prejudice and knowing that a plague will make the world turn into a place of chaos he knows who they will blame. Them, his people, his brothers and sisters, and he don't want his daughter to be given such prejudice, so he chose to hunker down waiting for the coming storm to go away until the time will come when they can look back at all of this without worry.
And just as he predicted two days later Weibo exploded with news of a new virus, the central government had tried to dissuade the news he had heard that the his cousin doctor friend who have told them about the virus was being arrested by the local police, not the central government; this means that the local government doesn't want the central government to take control and bring shame to them. It's always how it goes, usually the local government does not want to ask for help until the problem has gone too far to be fixed. The central government is competent with the best performing members of the local government recruited from them; the leftovers are the ones who don't pass the cut to be in the central government… There's a reason why their careers are not advancing at a quickened pace like the central government, because they are mostlt incompetent.
So the local police do what the local police always do: instead of fixing the problem and recognizing when a problem is too big for them to handle and require far more resources that the don't have, they tried to save face preemptively before knowing what the problem is, trying to maintain an illusion of perfection even though problems are knocking in their doors, for in their mind the appearance of competency must be maintained at all cost for a chance so that the central government will accept them to their ranks.
He had not quit his job instead as Cto and being a privileged member, he just didn't go to work and took a paid leave for a month ample time for the government to do something.

Wuming Shí is confused, he thought today was just about to be like the others: normal, that he will just be hauling cement bags after cement bags at some construction projects and nothing wrong will happen except maybe the many and many accidents that happens but other than that today he expect it to be just the same. That all changed when the local police just told them to stop construction and go back to their homes.
It was all too sudden ambulances were blaring across the streets and police cars being spotted at frequent times that is too uncommon. Wuming quickened his pace, mind churning, thinking of every possibility of what was happening. Was there a war? A flood? Or maybe something much—much worse.
"This is Wuhan city police, this city has been put into curfew under the direct order of the main central commission of security. Citizens are ordered to enter their homes and to not leave, martial law has been implemented, any activities after 6 pm will be considered a criminal offense."
A drone flying all around the city as he walked towards a bus station, and now mounting ever more, what kind of emergency situation has made the central government take care of regional problems? It's rare for the central committee to be this hands-on in ruling, they usually left that to the regional provinces, even in floods and earthquakes the central government only just gave them funding not direct order and took over an entire province police force to do their bidding.
When he arrived at the bus station the thing was already surrounded by police and they were already shooing people to not use it. That is ridiculous he thought, and unnecessary, what kind of problem that halted mass transportation? How can he now get back to his family who is on the other side of town? Does he have to walk? He clicked his mouth and sighed on himself, better to start walking now than waiting. It's only noon now and he probably could reach his home before sunset.
He walks for hour and hours across the city people are driving like crazy towards supermarket, Wuming was tempted to do the same after he came across a crowd who is trying to enter the store but decides to go against it, doing it probably would be too dangerous for him and beside he doesn't have the money both is cash and bank account, he hasn't gotten his pay out yet for this month and spending savings for food right now when his house was already stocked from last month grocery was probably not worth it when he doesn't know how long this thing will be like this.
He arrived at his house just barely before sunset and the curfew was implemented. Wuming went inside his small cramped apartment complex, his mother, father, in-laws, wife and son were probably waiting for him inside.
As he was about to enter his apartment there were men in hazmat suits waiting outside his door, confused by them being here he approached them. One of them noticed him and stopped him right on his track
"What are you doing here, citizen?" The man asked with a muffled voice.
"Sorry sir, I live here, is there something wrong? Wuming answered.
The group looked at each other, not a word was being said. Suddenly Wuming was dragged from his spot, his first instinct was to react and fight them but he stopped it knowing fighting them was a bad idea so he let them do what they want with him. They pushed him towards his home and put a marker on his left hand.

"You are not allowed to leave your home in 14 days in under any circumstances! Failing to follow this order is an act of felony with 4 years of incarceration. "
Wuming looked back, his wife standing behind him hiding behind a wall, afraid and concerned about him. His mother who was already at her old age also stood in silence.
"I have my parents here! Please sir, you can't do this to us, how will we buy our food? If we can't leave… "
"That is not our concern, citizens!" the man yelled. "Lock them up!"
One of the men came forward and brought out a metal door and was quickly followed by another who started to weld the door.
Wuming Shi stood in silence crying as his family was locked up in their own home.

The war of influence started right after I went back to D.C, after I've trained Hiruzen in the basics of molding chakra and left Kurama in charge of teaching my son, I can no longer avoid the political turmoil that is happening in the capital. The democrats are in a full on offensive towards Donald Trump with surprisingly former vice president Biden is leading the charge on the background and on the front, the old guy is on TV at frequent that doesn't even match his time as vice president, I expect Obama to be the one to do it, because you know, he's a former president and all, and if there's something that Obama can do is his skill in oratory and convincing people, what did I miss a week leaving D.C that old Joe is now leading the charge?
I mean there is a possibility that he's doing this to run for president if what senator Robert Manedez said was true when he offered me the seat as the secretary of state for Biden's presidency; there's a reason why I didn't take his offer other than beside me not wanting to cast away my republican voter and that is there is no guarantee that Biden will be the Democratic nominee for president. Unlike the Republican party, whose sole purpose now is just to lick the boots of president Trump and being yes men to everything he said no matter how cofeve it is. The democratic party actually acts like a party, with internal infighting and debates among its peers, the party itself can be roughly divided into two groups the center leaning democrats with Nancy Pelosi as an example, and left leaning with Bernie Sanders as an example by all means they should be separate parties with both while having similar things to advocate and same thing to with.
With all of that infighting, which is good so that the party wouldn't be static, there's a very large chance that he won't be nominated. Biden, how can I say this, he's old, that man has been in congress even before my dad was born. If he was running against Trump in 2016 there's a large chance he'll win, Biden 4 years ago was a very different man, hell when you see his old speeches on YouTube you'll see he's actually got wit on his tongue, it's just the old man now is being pushed into a position he should not have because the thing is the Democratic party need to play it safe.
There's much better candidates in the democratic party it's just most of them are good president candidates when they aren't fighting Trump, Bernie Sanders is one of them, he's good with young voters but he is older than Joe though he has though he has potential successor in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, their politics and plans aren't just the right fit for most of the adults in America, the next ten years or so when their support base has been steadily growing, I could see AOC becoming a democratic presidential candidate (I know my politics can be confusing but AOc seems like a good candidate when she has more exp). But that would scare the more center leaning democrats. That just leaves people like Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg, who despite his sexuality is not a socialist, I know a shocker to many Republicans and even myself.
And right now there are no notable center-leaning democrats because, well let's face it, when Obama took over the presidential candidacy and office, he stole the spotlight on so many rising stars like the governor of Minnesota who I quite agree with in many of his politics except a few. That just left Biden as the potential and greater chance to win against Trump. Their whole effort seems kinda desperate.
(look man Tim walz and Naruto are so similar in policy plans… Other than his military record and handling of corporations which both of them are very different.)
Now with both parties attacking each other and trying to find some dirt as ammo. I was just there sitting in the chamber like nothing was happening as both sides were throwing shades at each other. God if they let us bring food on the senate floor I'll buy myself a hot cup of Joe, some popcorn and cake while watching them fight. It'll certainly give me a spotlight on TV and possibly bump my popularity, not that I need it. At this point, it's no secret to everyone that after this I'm gunning for the governance of Michigan my home state with Rebecca and I had been doing work after work for my campaign there, not for the seat of the governorship, no, that's a sure fire win for me, I'm popular here, no, the state will be my homebase to expand my third party.
I'm going to leave this party at the end of January of 2021 days after Congress formally acknowledges who wins the presidential race. There probably wouldn't be anything big happening in January when the presidential transfer of power started. Trump may be a weird man, but he'll accept defeat with grace. I have faith in him. And announcing me dropping from the democratic party in such a time when both parties are in such fever pitch to win is a really-really bad idea, they'll accuse me of being opportunistic and all of that would destroy basically end my political career prematurely. So for now I'll stay in the party and play their silly little game while building my independent support base.
You know I kinda miss 2016 Trump back then before pandering to the evangelical Christian in 2018 Trump had some great ideas. Why do I get the feeling he's afraid his own support base would turn on him? If you listen to his speeches in 2016 to know, you'd find a very different set of tunes. 2016 Trump was, believe it or not, pro-union at the time and was pro-passing some labor laws. Except for the muslim band and abandoning Kurdistan he achieved some great achievements. I think he realizes that the only reason he won back in 2016 was because the democratic party underestimated him as an outsider and he only won because so many democrats did not bother to show to the ballots believing Nancy Pelosi, student of genocidal kissinger, will win. Now that the democrats are properly waking up and for 4 years whipping him up as their greatest enemy he'll be outnumbered so he's forced to use desperate tactics like supporting Christian nationalism and admittedly racist groups.
Now Trump doesn't believe those kinds of doozies, I still remember that in 2016 he supported trans rights, surprising right? He's just so afraid of losing the presidency because he and everyone knows when he's out of office the shark will circle him with just a whiff of blood. For 4 years Trump is fighting for his life to win and all will be culminating in 2020. And despite all of that he actually could win this next election as long as he doesn't stray into crazy and dumb territory he'll probably secure his legacy as a successful president despite being mired in controversy and despite being faced with possible impeachment. He just have to stay out of scandals and don't fuck the country for just one year, essentially he has to do nothing to win.
Thankfully for him I think he knows that too and strangely for the past few days except some tweets, he's staying under the radar. Ow there's nothing could shake his hold on the office except an event that'll fuck the world over like a global natural disaster or something but what are the chances of that? Near zero I tell you! Ahahah
I was stopped in my musing while watching the democratic party saying that Trump is revealed trying to hold arms transfer to Ukraine as he threatens zalanky? Xulinky? I don't remember, the Ukrainian president, if he doesn't give Hunter Biden's laptop or whatever false evidence, he will stop arms transfer to Ukraine for any future possible fight against Russia.
"Come in!" I signaled to one outside. A Senatorial staff, looks like an intern walks in. The boy stood in front of me and handed me a paper. I could see the daily senatorial intelligence briefing that was given to me, a member of the senate committee of armed services; because, you know, I'm a veteran.
"Here's the latest intelligence briefing sir. They said for you to prioritize looking at the east and southeast Asia section and then the middle east one as usual. " the man told me.
I chuckled, 'of course it's east Asia and the middle east,' those two regions are the highest sort of priority right now. "You can leave, " I told the boy. He let out a respectful sir and then left.
I read the east Asian section first knowing even if it's a priority it probably wouldn't be as doozy as the middle east. Let's see, Chinese fishing boats being destroyed by indonesia for trespassing their waters and them giving military response to warn China and call their Chinese diplomats to meet the indonesian president for explanations, as usual, the Philippines and other asean country except Vietnam being helpless with Chinese territorial claim, a minor virus popped in Wuhan not that concerning the Chinese government for all it so fault has a great equivalent of a cdc because of their experience with the SARS and bird flu, so their competent enough to contain it. So yeah business as usual in East and SouthEast Asia. Nothing new or major.
Next I started with the middle east section, I took a long sight and prepared what the first page would hit me with.
