A/N: So... this is VERY LATE and I'm VERY SORRY. This was supposed to come out around Easter time if not earlier, but as I was writing I decided to check where I left off and realized I had to do a COMPLETE RE-WRITE OF THE CHAPTER! GRR!
Anyways I hoped you liked this chapter, I don't think it's my best but au revoir!
Flash foward…
"Master Pané?" I heard pulling me out of my thoughts. I must be wandering around the temple again. I thought as I looked around realizing I was no longer inside my room (on the complete opposite side of the temple mind you) pacing. "Are you alright?" Skywalker asked.
"Would you be alright if all your troops died on you," I snapped.
His face softened at what I said, "That didn't happen. You know that," he said very softly.
"I don't know anything anymore," I said deflating.
"You do know. It's all just stuck right now. You'll figure out whatever you need to figure out," he said moving to put a hand on my shoulder.
"I have you now!" I heard in my head.
Jumping back, startled, I turned and ran in the opposite direction.
"Master Pané! Master Pané!" could be heard down the corridor. Running past confused and worried faces and out to the garden I finally stopped and tried to calm my breathing and steady my heartbeat. Feeling another presence through the force, I looked up and glanced around to see Master Yoda, "Having trouble, are you?"
"Yes, Master." I admitted hunching my shoulders in defeat, "What am I supposed to do?"
"Hmmmm, know something dark, you do. Preventing disaster, the Force is."
"I understand that. But why would the Force replace some of my memories but then not touch others. I mean I remember who I stayed with and where I was, but nothing beyond that. Why take my memories in the first place."
"A mystery, it is. Meditate on it, you must."
"I have tried to master but it seems like whenever I do it leads me wandering about the temple…. Into….. Anakin….," I said coming to some sort of conclusion, "And whenever I do I see something dark and terrifying."
"Then know something, you do"
"It has something to do with Anakin. Whatever I learned has something to do with him."
Back in the present…
"Let's call the council then."
Walking to the room that housed our broken ship was long and nerve racking. The very fact that I was about to talk to the council again after so long seemed impossible. Added to the fact that I knew the outcome of the war and which person it would effect the most. Knowing that I would be unable to say anything and everything, I began trying to thing of things I could tell the council that would not give anything away about the war. But that wasn't much. "I can't reveal anything," I thought walking into the room. But, they would know something was up through the Force, just because of my behavior.
"Dial them."
"Right away, sir," Rocket said. After a little bit he continued, "This is the closest person we can contact."
A ringing sound filled the space of the small closet they had put everything in. Aarona could hear her heartbeat and felt she shouldn't be doing this.
"This is a mistake," she mumbled.
But it was too late.
Someone picked up.
"Hello? Who is this?" a clone trooper who answered asked us.
"This is Jedi Knight Aarona Pané, calling to inform the Jedi Council that myself as well as three others have survived since the last time I was able to contact them."
"Master Pané? Of course I'll try and contact the council. If you want though I could just call Master Kenobi, he is aboard at the moment."
"That will work for now."
Waiting for Obi-Wan to get to the main room of the battleship gave Aarona time to calm her erratic heartbeat and breathing. It also gave her time to mentally put up blockers to keep any force user from knowing the future.
Seeing Obi-Wan enter to room with Anakin and Ahsoka I said, "Master Kenobi, it is so good to see you again."
"Master Pané?!" Ahsoka shouted.
"It's good to see you to Ahsoka… And you Anakin," I said with some reserve.
"Where are you?" Obi-Wan asked.
"That is a little more complicated than it appears. I'm on a planet called Earth. It is an alternate reality, but… never mind. The point is that my ship is destroyed and cannot be reapired . Have you been able to pinpoint where my ship went into hyperspace?"
"We've been working on that. But as you said it's a little more complicated than it appears. We were able to track where your call came from but it seems the coordinates from where your call ended don't exist anymore," Obi-Wan explained.
"There was one thing that was out of the ordinary that maybe you can help with," Anakin voiced, glancing at Obi-Wan as if asking permission to speak about the topic.
"What is it?" I asked intrigued.
"Well, Master Pané, when we were trying to locate where your ship went into hyperspace Anakin's droid R2 found something peculiar," Obi-Wan started explaining.
"Peculiar?"
"He, according to Anakin, said that he had found Anakin only it was not really him," he said finishing.
"That is a lot less complicated than it appears to be. As I said where I am is an alternative reality, so there are copies for a better term of everyone that we know in our universe. I have actually seen someone we all know here."
"Who was it?" Anakin questioned
"It was Senator Amidala. She looked and sounded just like her, but there were…. differences."
"What kind of differences, Master Pané?" Ahsoka inquired
"Well, she said her name was something else and that she was married with kids."
Upon saying that I noticed the slight shift in Anakin's facial expression, like he was trying to see if I knew more than I let on. Seeing that I slowly put my mental shields up with more strength, as to not cause suspicion.
"Married you say? Intriguing." Obi Wan said.
"Indeed. I did not see where she went after running into her as I had something more pressing on my mind at the time."
"Understandable. Trying to find a way to get home without inconveniencing anyone around you would be very pressing. I will contact the council about all of this. We will rescue you Master Pané."
