The first thing I registered was the pain in my head. I tried opening my eyes but the bright lights of the room only aggravated my head even more. Groaning I lifted my hand to cover my eyes and felt a slight tugging sensation. Agonizingly slow, I opened my eyes inches at a time to allow them to adjust. When they were open I saw IV lines connecting me to a hospital machine. "How did I get here? What happened?" The Force must have heard my thoughts because the doors opened to reveal Obi-Wan Kenobi.

"Good you're awake. How are you feeling?"

"Like I just went through a landing with Anakin."

"That bad," he chuckled, "What do you remember?"

"Grievous, calling the council, crashing I think. How long have I been out?"

"You only been unconscious for two days, but what you are describing took place two years ago."

My breath caught in my throat. Two years. I tried focusing on my breathing. "How-" was all I could get out.

"From what we understand, you crashed on a planet outside of our universe."

"I crashed on to a planet?"

"You don't remember anything?"

"I-" trying to think of anything, but the more I tried the more my head throbbed, "no," I finally said in resignation. "Is there anything you can tell me about what happened to me?"

"Well- Anakin, Ashoka, and I went to recuse you and some of your troopers. From what Ashoka told me you made a friend on the planet who helped you, someone named Camille."

Camille. That name brought many emotions to mind. Also the feeling of warmth and safety. It eased the pain a little.

"We also have this note from you. You wrote it when we retrieved you. Do you have any idea what it means?"

Sitting up I grabbed the paper from Obi-Wan and read, 'Bomb. Not Ahsoka. Temple. Soon.' "Sorry, But I don't."

"Well, it won't be a problem to deal with right now. Now you rest, I'll show this to the council and that will be the end of it for now."

"How are my troopers?"

Obi-Wan sighed, whatever he is going to say isn't good, "They are all in a medically induced coma. You were too, but something is wrong with their breathing. The doctors said leaving them alone right now is the only way they can live until they find the problem."

"I see."

"I'll let the medical droid know you're awake so he can check on you."

"Thank you."

Obi-Wan left and before long the droid came in, checking all of my vital signs and asking questions. I guess I responded because soon enough he was saying that I had a mild case of amnesia, which could be the cause of the headaches I was experiencing. If they ever got too bad I was to visit the hospital wing to get a mild pain reliever, but besides that I was free to return to my room.

Walking out of the hospital wing and down the corridors of the temple felt wrong for some unknown reason. The clothes I was wearing were not like all those around me, so I stuck out like a sore thumb. Those I walked past stopped what they were doing and stared at me like I was a ghost. Maybe I was. Everything felt off. I should be doing something but I didn't know what it was.

Once I reached my room, I realized that Obi-Wan was right. I hadn't been here in a long time. Dust covered almost everything. That's when I noticed I had bags on my bed. They were filled with things that I knew, but at the same time didn't. The items felt out of place within these walls. I put all of them into a box found among the few items in the room. Once everything was put away, I placed the box underneath the bed. Out of sight of the prying eyes of the temple. Safe from the feeling of unease and unwelcomeness. After that I decided to take Obi-Wan's advice to heart and rest, and so I laid down upon the bed. Dust particles floated around being caught in the sunlight coming in from the parted window. Sleep came quicker than I expected, and it's only now that I wish it hadn't.

Sleep was filled with horrible images that never stayed put long enough to remember more than the feeling of hellish torment. Deep breathing that didn't sound human and cackling that sent shivers down the spine. Every time the images started coming into focus they morphed into the mangled bodies of the Jedi. And every time I tried to hold onto the image the cackling returned while saying "There. Try and stop me now Jedi."

After a few hours of this restless sleep I woke up in a cold sweat and to the beeping of R-82. Trying to shake the fog of sleep from my head, I briefly understood that he was saying it was dinner and that the council wished to speak with me when I was finished.

Getting up I went to get some food. All eyes were on me in the mess hall. I didn't stay for long. After eating a little bit of the food on my plate, I decided to heed 82's message and head to the council. The walk through the temple to the chamber seemed longer and heavier than it had ever been previously.

Once I arrived, I hesitated. For some unknown reason I didn't trust the council. Whatever it was made me pause and reach for my neck. There was the necklace. The one that I had woken up wearing and the one that calmed me down. I knew it was from Camille, but didn't know why. Why it calmed me down or why she gave it to me in the first place. The gaps in my memory were now starting to become more bothersome then they should have. Stealing a deep breath, I let go of the necklace and entered into the council chamber.

"Master Pané, it is good to see you alive and well after such a long time," Master Windu said.

"Indeed," was muttered by the remaining Jedi Masters around the room.

"Thank you Masters," I said bowing slightly. "If I may ask, why have you called me here?"

"As you may be aware, when Master Kenobi along with Jedi Knight Skywalker and his Padawan Tano, retrieved you, something happened," Master Windu stated. I nodded. He continued, "Master Kenobi, why don't you explain."

Obi-Wan nodded, "Once you and your crew were safely aboard our ship we took off. You had just begun telling us somethings about your stay, when you suddenly started crying out in pain. You asked for a piece of paper and wrote down the note I showed you earlier. Is any of this rejigging your memory?"

I shook my head, "No. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be any helping this case."

"Understand, we do. Experienced a great trauma, you have. Rest here for awhile, you should. Yeesssssss," Master Yoda said.

I nodded and turned to leave when Master Windu spoke up one more time, "Master Pané before you go, perhaps you have felt the shift in the Force?"

"I have, Masters. What does it mean?"

"We believe that you caused it."

"Me?"

Master Yoda nodded, "Yes we do. This change you caused when you returned. Meditate on why, you must."

"Yes, Masters," I said while nodding, and with one final bow left the room.
