A/N: Since the Marvel Rising show had Kevin being inhuman because he was abducted by the Kree, I decided that in my Venom fanon franchise, Kevin is supernatural. Yes, this is set in the Venom sony-Verse storyline with ATLA fandom themes.
It was finally time. The time he became an independent young man. It was his sixteenth birthday and everyone he cared about attended. His Aunt Merrilyn, Uncle Barry, and friends, Gwen, Glory, and Henry.
He decided to have his birthday celebrated at home at night after a long day working at S.I.L.K Industries. He didn't need a big fancy party because he only wanted to celebrate it with the most important people in his life. He also found it special to see the full moon that night.
He sat at the table in front of his cake. There were spark sticks and everyone clapped while singing Happy Birthday. He blew his candles. Then there was really bad karaoke from everyone (Gwen being an exception as she was the only one with a beautiful voice).
Kevin went to sit in the backyard and stare at the moon and billions of stars. Gwen came out looking for the birthday boy. "There you are!" she sighed in relief. Then she noticed he was making the same facial expression every time he looked at the moon.
"You're that obsessed with the moon huh? You can kiss it when you have a spaceship".
"Is it that obvious that I want to see the moon from a space shuttle?" Kevin whined buried his head in his hands.
"But are you sure you want to be an astronaut? You like history too".
"I want to do both, I do but I can't afford both classes".
Gwen looked at her friend with sympathy. Kevin cleared his throat. "But I think I'll stick to astronomy".
"You sure?" Gwen folded her arms and said that to see if Kevin knew what he wanted.
"Yeah, I'm sure".
"Welp, we better head back to the kitchen before all the cake is gone", Gwen hurried back inside.
"Hey! Wait up!" Kevin laughed as he chased after Gwen.
That night, Kevin had a strange dream. He found himself in some city that resembled Venice, except that it was covered in ice and snow. Everyone seemed to be of indigenous tribal ethnicity, wearing blue Alaskan cozy attire. "Is this a scene from some winter-themed fantasy movie?"
As he walked on the icy sidewalk, he noticed that the boats were canoe-shaped and moved without paddles. An impossible observation was that the men were moving the boat by their hands, which were paddleless. As if they were commanding it through telepathy. This made no sense as the boat had no visible signs of remote mechanisms. The people were dressed similarly to natives of America BEFORE colonization. The whole area seemed like the Inuit community created this icy city without the help of European settlers. This was far beyond his imagination.
Another canoe passed by, but he froze and glanced at the two individuals riding on it. One was a middle-aged man who seemed to be controlling the boat by swaying his arms. The other (who made him freeze) was a young girl, at least she looked about his age despite the snow-white hair.
Radiant brown skin, a unique hairstyle, pure blue eyes, and looking ahead, sitting on her knees. She seemed regal and adequate. Her lips have a tempting shape. She was beautiful…and he wanted to know her name.
"E—excuse me! Miss! Uh, you with the purple winter gear! Can you stop—AH!"
Falling into the icy river, he felt ice forming over his skin yet able to breathe underwater. Out of nowhere, the white-haired girl was opposite him. She seemed different, inexplicably more radiant than before, with longer hair and heavenly deity attire. He didn't move his body, making him slowly descend onto the river bed. As he sunk, he never took his eyes off the girl who moved towards him as if they were in mid-air. She came closer, and closer, Kevin remained still as moving might scare her away. She examined the boy as she was slightly less than arm's length away. When they had reached the bottom, the girl looked at Kevin with horror and sorrow.
"I'm sorry that you have to leave", she said in an otherworldly spirit voice.
"What? Who are you?"
She furrowed her eyebrows at his question. She raised her hands and placed them on his shoulders. She took a death breath as if she was about to do something extremely difficult, "My name is Y—"
"KEVIN! Rise and shine sweetie. Don't wanna be late for school!" Merrilyn chirped. Her nephew grumbled in annoyance.
"So fricking insane how they twirl mid-air, I'm telling you, dude. Cheerleading is a massive lawsuit waiting to happen", Gwen complained about typical Crissy (a popular girl who Gwen hated) being on the squad. Kevin wished he could listen to his best friend without the memory of his vivid dream glued to his thoughts.
"Pretty dumb letting a rich kid in the team, if I could laugh at the announcement of the schoolboard getting sued I would. It's obvious that Crissy's parents have that kind of privileged power".
All Kevin thought about at that moment was the white-haired girl and her beautiful voice. Such regal beauty with a gentle sweet voice. He had no idea why a girl who probably didn't exist mattered to him. Maybe the dream was built off his fantasies. He was always fond of anything related to the winter aesthetic. So why was he interested in a dream he'd eventually forget about after school?
"Kevin, are you ignoring my rants instead of saying I'm in love with Crissy?"
The boy wondered if thinking about that angelic beauty was a good idea…he should just focus on the internship…
"This is so stupid…", Kevin said to himself.
"What?! Saying cheerleading is dangerous ISN'T stupid!" Gwen glared in furious shock. Kevin turned to his friend, only to hum at her statement.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about Crissy! Were you daydreaming about someone?"
"W—what?! No…" Kevin scoffed, he wondered if being focused on last night's dream was obvious for his Aunt and Gwen to notice.
"Oh, you DEFINITELY were, Mr. Krossford. Otherwise, you would've joined in on my badmouthing minutes ago". Gwen smiled smugly. "So who's this crush that's more important than your internship?"
"Gwen, having a crush is the LAST thing I should be thinking about right now".
Gwen gasped in awe, "Why are you lying to me? Is it someone I know?"
"…I highly doubt that…".
Gwen came to a halt and used her left arm to block her friend from walking any further. "You mean to tell me that you have a crush on a girl I don't know about?"
"Shocking that I don't tell you everything", Kevin replied nonchalantly.
"What does she look like?"
"Gwen, let's just drop it okay? We need to take the bus before it passes us—oh crap! It's already at the bus stop a few feet away!"
Both teens ran as fast as they could, and managed to get in before the doors of the large vehicle closed.
During class, Gwen was writing down lyrics for her original song, then she leaned towards her friend. "Is she Native American?"
"No", he said softly, unfortunately, the nosy blonde noticed his ears turning red enough confirmation to say she was warm in her questions.
"Canada? Alaska? USA? Aztec descendant?"
"Somewhere way up north".
"Alaska? So from an Inuit tribe? Did you meet her on a dating app?"
"Not enough storage on my phone for that".
"So you met her on Instagram?"
"Miss Stacy!" The class teacher glared at the blonde. "How many times must I tell you to chat during lunch break!"
Gwen leaned back into her seat and grumbled. Kevin was relieved that Mrs. Don interrupted Gwen's pestering.
During lunch, Gwen continued her pestering. "How cute is she?"
"You're not plotting to make a move on her are you?" Kevin smirked.
"She's that pretty?! Well, what's her name?" Gwen asked with interest.
"I…uh…don't know…but I do know it starts with the letter Y…".
"Huh?" Gwen had a face of one being confused. "You're in love with a girl, whose name you don't know?"
"I'm not in love, but her profile info didn't include her real name", Kevin lied. He knew that pretending to crush on someone from social media was less embarrassing than crushing on someone who only existed in a literal dream.
"So you're just Insta-stalking pretty girls that you have never met? Pervert", Gwen gave a dragged low giggle. Kevin wanted to protest but felt safe knowing Gwen's pestering had come to an end.
A/N: We all know wwhite-haired haired girl is. And Kevin has no idea what his dream just activated.
