Vegas 6

I am hoping to wrap up the main body of the story within the next like 5 chapters perhaps 10 depending on how the writing goes. After that it will be more snippets of things like a Darksied invasion or Starro or something like that. Those will be added after the story has been marked complete and those are just ideas not set in stone. In my story Gotham and Metropolis are going to be as close they are in Batman V Superman. Basically right across the river.

A few days after Lex talked to his lawyers he gets a call back from them explaining they didn't get the injunction and declining to go further with this. This of course does not sit well with Lex and he begins going through his contact list looking for someone who can handle this. He finds a card he had hoped to never have to use again but needs must and so he calls Ra's Al Ghul.

"Are you calling about the takeover of Lexcorp? I see your failures finally caught up to you." Ra's says with a smile

Lex shakes his head happy this isn't a video call before responding "Yes it is. I tried to do this legally but my lawyers failed and so now I call you. The company that controls Lexcorp is called Marauders Inc. I need all the information you have on them as well as whoever actually owns them to have an unfortunate accident."

Ra's goes quite on the other end of the line before responding "I'll look into it but if the people running it are the people I think I will decline to do more than provide information. If I am correct here you should take whatever offer they gave you and pray to whatever Gods you believe in that they do not get upset at you."

Lex is confused and after a second responds "you're the second person to be scared of these guys who are they?"

Ra's pauses seeming to debate before answering "If they are who I believe and not simply someone taking their name then they are the single oldest company outside of Japan. They got started as Peverel arms and armor and then they rebranded into Potter Import and Export and about 20 years ago they rebranded again into Marauder Inc. They provide all the arms for the U.K. and its allies they were behind the East India Trading Company, its rumored they were behind most if not all the missing Spanish gold. They funded the Templars. You likely haven't heard of them because they hide behind several shell companies and real companies but if rumor is true they have the authority of the crown to have a standing army of any size they deem necessary."

Lex is stunned happy he was sitting down as he isn't sure he could stay standing. "so if your right basically I have no choice. Also how do you know all this?"

Ra's shakes his head before responding "If I am correct you will not win no matter how you decide to proceed. As for how I know this, the league keeps great records."

Lex answers "Let me know if you confirm your fears and I will grudgingly take their offer. I guess its time for Lex Luthor to go into politics." Lex then hangs up and slams his fist on his desk in anger.

It took a few days longer than innitally expected to be able to move into the Gotham home and a week after he got married Harry moves into his new home with his new wife the lovely Barbara Potter. Neville had moved into a Potter property in Metropolis as neither he nor Pamela like the dark of Gotham. Hermione and her parents moved into Metropolis as well and will be the new on sight dentist for Lexcorp once their license converts. Molly and Arthur decided to stay in England instead of starting over in a new country while Bill was assigned as the official warder of all Marauder Inc holdings. Ron and Ginny are returning to Hogwarts while the twins closed up shop and moved to Metropolis to open a toy and joke shop.

Its their first night back and Barabara is itching to try out her new suit and so with a smile Harry wishes her happy hunting. She meets up with Dick who is in town as part of Alfred's attempts to mend the rift between his boys.

"nice suit it looks new." Dick says as soon as they meet up

Barbara smiles and responds "Thanks it is new, custom made said to be able to take on a tank. It comes with some fun new toys as well. I'm sure you'll see some of them tonight."

Dick shakes his head "He really is looking out for you isn't he? That's great how do you think it will hold up against someone like Joker?"
She shakes her head "It should be just fine I can't imagine him having anything that would make a dent."

They head off in search of crime and find Black Mask at the docks off loading a shipment of drugs. They decide to bust it and after alerting Commissioner Gordons hand picked go between for this shift they proceed to go in and break it up. Barbabra smiles and says "Allow me to show you a new toy I have, works better than smoke bombs." She then pulls out a small ball about half the size of one of the smoke bombs they usually use and casually drops it in the middle of the room. Once it hits the floor it explodes and quickly expands to cover a 10ft circle in sheer darkness even the flashlights the guards are using have no effect this as much as anything has them jumpy and allows for Batgirl and Nightwing to jump down and subdue them. During the fight Batgirl ends up getting shot a few times all without even noticing as her new suit stops the bullets and disperses the energy to not even leave a bruise. Only Dick saw this of course and after they subdue everyone they meet back up on the roof to talk.

"Your new suit is awesome and I love those new smoke bombs they couldn't see a thing though I couldn't either." He frowns at this last part

Barbara shakes her head "I have thermal I can switch to so its not a big deal for me."

Dick just shakes his head and they continue on their patrol. At the end of the night Dick says "You know he will want to talk to you about your new husband right?"

Barbara smiles "I know, I am having dad over tomorrow to meet him. I can batman over tomorrow night as well after dinner."
