Ok. I've been watching a lot of Bucky/Connie videos on YouTube. And got obsessed. I hope you like it. It's just a one shot, but if you want more, I'll try my best for another.

James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes looked at the train in front of him. He didn't want to leave, didn't want to leave Connie and Steve behind but he had a job to do. And his job is to fight in the war to protect those he loves and his country.
Steve Rogers and Connie slowly approach. Steve pokes him, causing Bucky to turn around.
"This is it." Bucky said. "This is where I leave for the unknown."
Connie blinked rapidly, trying to hold in her emotions. "You better come back." She whispered.
Bucky smiled lazily. "Of course I'll come back, Doll." He gathers her in his arms, and she clung to him tightly.
"If you don't come back, I'm going to go behind enemy or friendly lines to find you." Steve threatened, but also threatened.
Connie pulled away from Bucky so he could address Steve.
"You have one job, Punk." Bucky held up 1 finger. "Just one." He wrapped his arm around Connie. "Look after Connie, my ma and Rebecca for me."
"Buck."
"Just one job, that's all I'm asking."
"You don't have to ask." Steve replied. "I still would, you know that."
"Please, no shenanigans till I come back." Bucky begged.
Steve chuckled, looking down for a moment before looking back up at his best friend. "No promises." He took a quick glance at Connie. "I'll ah, gonna find a bathroom." With that he turns and walks away to give his friends a little alone time.
Bucky sighed as he watched him. "He's not gonna keep his promise is he?" He asks.
"With the shenanigans?" Connie asks with a giggle. "No. But Steve is a protecter." She nods with a smile. "He's a gentlemen, just like you." She turns to Bucky with a smile.
Bucky turns to her. "If anything happens to me." He starts, and she instantly frowns. "Move on, for me, just move on."
She rapidly shook her head. "No, I - I don't wanna move on." She stuttered. "I can't, I won't." She reached up to gently place a finger over his lips when he started to protest. "Now don't you dare chase after any nurse that's being shipped out too."
He smiles, reaching for her hand with both his. "I wouldn't dare, there's only one dame for me and I'm standing in front of her." His left hand pulled from her hand to reach over, his fingers gently wiping the tears that slid down her cheek. "Once I return, that life we talked about last night. We'll start building it." He leaned down to kiss her cheek. "We'll stuff Steve in a suitcase, bring him wherever we go."
Connie's arms lock around Bucky's neck. "Everywhere?" She asks, taking in his scent and she felt his arms lock around her waist.
"Yeah. He'll be our first kid." Bucky pauses. "Ah, maybe not everywhere." He agreed after a moment's thought. "Steve'll be our own nanny for the little ones we're gonna have."
She giggled. "You better come home to me then." She pulls away a little. "Please come back home."
"Darling, there is nothing stopping me from returning home." Bucky kissed her gently, and Connie's hands tightened on his tie holding him in place.
The need of air won and Bucky pulls away. "I love you Connie."
"I love you too, James."
Bucky finally pulls away from her, then with his left hand he wipes her tears. "No tears. Alright?"
She took a shaky breath as she tried to calm down. "Ok." She whispered.
Bucky finally turns around to approach Steve, who was standing off to the side. "Please don't make things even more difficult. I'm banning you from any shenanigans. So don't do anything stupid until I get back."
Steve smiled. "How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you."
Bucky chuckled. "Punk." He leans down to hug his best friend.
"Jerk."
The two pull from their hug, and Bucky slings his arm around Steve. "You better promise to look after my future Mrs." He threatened, then pauses and turns to the blonde. "Are you wearing newspapers in your shoes again?"
Steve blinks. "With this crowd?" He asks, trying to brush the question off. "You know I'm gonna get lost."
Bucky cocks an eyebrow. "Just, just promise me you'll look after Connie please?"
"Of course I promise."
Soon, Bucky had to go on the train and got lost in the sea of army soldiers. Connie followed the train as it moved, till she was forced to stop next to the crossing sign, she rested her right hand on the metal it and hated how cold it felt. Steve silently approached her side.
"He, he'll come back, right?" She asks, her eyes watching as the train picks up speed. "Bucky's coming home, right?" She asks, she forced herself to turn to him. "Steve?"
"He will." Steve nods, his face serious. "And if he doesn't, I'm going to go after him and bring him home. If I have to go behind enemy lines to find him." He looks at Connie. "That's exactly what I'll do. I promise Connie, if I have to go after him myself. I will. He'll come home."
"But."-
"He'll come home alive."
