AN
We all know the story. Quirkless loser Izuku Midoriya gets One for All, starts to actually put the effort yet still acts like a complete dummy, too ashamed, too scared, too broken. No offence, the little green haired cinnamon roll has guts, but the world doesn't really work like this. A year of training and suddenly Izuku can go toe to toe with the tough ones? Katsuki actually joining UA despite his repulsive behavior? And don't get me started on Eraserhead, that dude is a competent hero but is unfit to be a teacher. In this here story, there will be none of this shit. There will be an actual timeline, an actual description of the world situation in this reality of quirks, villains and heroes and some actual competent bloody villains. With a few exceptions, most villains are either idiotic or downright useless. No disrespect to Kohei Horikoshi, he created one hell of a franchise and gave plenty of material for fanfictions. Actually it's fine that there are so many inconsistencies in MHA, leaves some good material for writing, so thanks a bunch Horikoshi-san, or sama or whatever. Oh shit, I am ranting again. Don't judge me, I have both a fever and I am a wee bit tee totally drunk too. Best cure for headaches, whiskey. Not whisky, whiskey. W-H-I-S-K-E-Y. Okay, deep breaths, rant over. So, as I was saying, in this fanfiction Izuku will actually have a nice, big and hairy pair of cojones to go with his brain. He will not let anyone in this quirk obsessed world stomp on his dreams. Plus, I am giving Izuku some help. The experience, personalities, skills and knowledge of Adrian Paul Ghislaine Carton de Wiart, Nikola Tesla and Markus Johannes Wolf. No, Izuku is and will remain quirkless. He will not hear voices in his head, he will not be seeing ghosts and his personality will not be that affected by his enhanced intelligence. Being quirkless however, Izuku will still struggle against discrimination and hatred, leaving him only 2 choices. Get tough or die. Also, Shoto Todoroki is female here and her name is Shiori. This is a Izuku x Fem Shoto fanfiction. Besides, our green bean and candy cane deserve some love, right? Okay, with no further ado, I present to you, BAKE ROLLS, oh wait no, that's an advertisement. Again, no further ado, I present to you... (drumroll)
My Hero Academia: Push it to the limit
July 15, 2330, Musutafu General Hospital, Shizuoka Prefecture, Musutafu, Japan
"Congratulations Mrs Midoriya, you gave birth to a healthy boy." The obstetrician said after the boy was born. Inko, tired yet happy, sees her newborn son:
"Izuku, his name will be Izuku." Inko hugs her boy, yet something is amiss. Izuku is not crying. The obstetrician rubs Izuku's back to make him cry. The newborn however turns and smacks his hand away, locking eye with the doctor.
"How is this possible? Newborn eyes aren't supposed to be so focused." The obstetrician is also a bit indimidated by little Izuku's look:
"Eh, is there a problem doctor?" Inko asks worriedly:
"Not exactly Mrs Midoriya, more like your son shows heighened awareness and focus. He seems to breath normally, but let me try something." The doctor shows a finger, Izuku does the same. The doctor then shows his left index finger and his right index finger, Izuku shows two fingers on one hand. The doctor then shows three fingers on each hand, Izuku shows all five fingers on one hand plus one finger on the other:
"It seems little Izuku already shows basic understanding Midoriya-san, the boy must be a genius. Maybe an early intelligence quirk manifestation?" The doctor asked himself. Inko smiled:
"Is it true Izuku, is my baby boy a genius?" Inko cooed. Izuku looked at her and tilted his head, giving a shrug:
"While it is an interesting development, we still need to ensure you and Izuku are in good health. Fear not, we will run no tests on your son, just standard protocol." The obstetrician answered. The doctor saw Izuku point the surgical tools table and then his umbilical cord. In the excitement, the doctor forgot to cut it:
"Oops, sorry, forgot to cut the umbilical cord." The doctor said sheepishly. When the doctor went to grab the scissors however, Izuku took it and cut the umnilical cord himself, handing back the scissors to the baffled doctor hamdle first. Then baby Izuku crawled on his similarly astonished mother's chest and curled to sleep.
Both Inko and the obstetrician looked at each other then at Izuku like he was something else, not a usual human baby even for the standards of this world of quirks and superpowers:
"This is going to be an interesting motherhood, right?" Inko asked, the doctor just nodded, half nervous, half fascinated.

"Thanks again for taking care of Izuku Mitsuki, sorry for having to leave him with you again." Inko says. Due to her husband Hisashi leaving shortly after Izuku was born, Inko had to work as a nurse both for herself and Izuku, despite the money that Hisashi sends every month:
"Nonsense Inko, it is a pleasure to keep little Izuku here. He is too well behaved for a toddler. Not a single time crying, he even goes to the toilet himself, no need for diapers. Plus he takes care of Katsuki's diapers even." Mitsuki waves off Inko's concern:
"I know. Ever since he started walking, he is almost self reliant. I don't know what goes into that brain of his, it is like he watches and understands everything, let alone the fact that he can talk, read and write fluently." Inko answers, proud, a bit curious and a bit nervous:
"Come on, don't be such a worrywart, Izuku is a good kid. Sure, a lot smarter than most but still a baby, not even one year old. Have some faith to me Inko, I can handle my own brat Katsuki, Izuku is an angel in comparison." Mitsuki gently pushes Inko to go to work, smiling and waving as she goes. Still, it is weird for Mitsuki to see a baby acting so surely of himself, loke he knows exactly what to do. The first time Mitsuki and and her husband Masaru met Izuku, they were baffled of how he seemed to understand exactly what was going on around him. Izuku is also really brave, not intimidated by anything. Izuku always knows how to make Katsuki calm down, something that Mitsuki never quite grasped. Mitsuki sees how Izuku and Katsuki play with their action figures, more like Katsuki beating the figures together while Izuku fixes them using wire, screwdrivers, pliers, glue and plastic powder.
"It seems Izuku opened the tool cabinet again Masaru." Mitsuki said:
"That he did my dear. I locked it with a heavy duty lock but Izuku somehow picked the lock open. There's no stopping him when he gets his mind fixated on something." Masaru shakes his head in slight amusement and defeat. Another thing Mitsuki and Masaru learned is that Izuku is almost obsessed with machines and repairing items. Action figures, controllers, faulty wires, other small electronic devices, he once went as far as to repair to repair a dripping faucet. How he did all that, no one knows other than Izuku:
"Oi Zuku, stop fixing like an idiot and come play." Katsuki said. Almost a year old yet Katsuki is capable of speech. While not as intelligent as Izuku, Katsuki is smarter than average:
"If you stop smashing the action figurines like a savage I will." Izuku answered:
"THE FUCK YOU CALLED ME?" Katsuki got angry at the insult and attacked, but Izuku easily sidestepped. Mitsuki quickly interfered:
"HEY, CALM DOWN BOTH OF YOU!" She shouted:
"LET GO YOU HAG!" Katsuki shouted, earning a whack on the head by Izuku:
"SHOW SOME RESPECT TO YOUR MOTHER KACCHAN!":
"ENOUGH, BOTH OF YOU!" Mitsuki ordered. The 2 boys stopped, Katsuki still angry, Izuku as calm and collected as always. Mitsuki has to admit, Izuku always knows when and how to say the right words. Katsuki is as hot tempered as Mitsuki is and Izuku is really good at setting him off with minimal effort. Mitsuki knows that roughhousing is common among children, especially males, but Izuku really knows how to set off Katsuki's temper. Yet Izuku also knows how to calm Katsuki down too, plus he is fearless and already developed some restrain and self discipline. He never goes too far when fighting or taunting Katsuki, just enough to make things fun as he calls it. And there is another thing...:
"You should be ashamed Kacchan. Insulting your own beautiful mother, have you no shame?" Izuku is a real charmer. While Mitsuki knows that it is only familial affection, as Izuku considers her his honorary aunt, Izuku never fails to make her blush with his words and actions:
"Hehe, it seems that young Izuku is at it again." Masaru chuckled, making Mitsuki blush further:
"Sh-shut up Masaru." She whined. Masaru laughed a bit more, making Mitsuki pout.

Inko and Mitsuki are together in Inko's apartment, watching as Izuku and Katsuki are spending their time together. Izuku is solving a 1000 piece 3D jigsaw puzzle while Katsuki tests the new hero figurines that Izuku made. While they look exactly the same as the original ones, they are far more robust, made to tolerate Katsuki's rough handling:
"Izuku, how did you even make these things?"
Katsuki asks while he bashes an All Might figure on the floor:
"Simple. I used clay to make molds of the originals, a combination of epoxy, glue and plastic dust to make the figurines and then I painted them. Too bad the real ones aren't of better quality. Cheapskate hero figurine manufacturers." Izuku answered:
"Yeah, I get it. But come play for once, leave that puzzle crap." Katsuki said:
"My apologies, but playing with figurines is not my style, I am more of a puzzle guy." Izuku said and went back at solving his jigsaw puzzle. Katsuki doesn't like that no matter what he says or does, Izuku is always so calm and collected, while Izuku can easily get a rise out of Katsuki. The hot tempered blonde decided to be the one who does the taunting for a change. So, he threw an All Might figurine on Izuku's half completed jigsaw puzzle:
"SMASH! And the stupid puzzle is down.":
"Katsuki, I have been working on this for half an hour, apologise." Izuku calmly demanded:
"Like hell I will!" Katsuki retorted. Inko was about to intervene, but Mitsuki held her, telling her to enjoy the show. Izuku went out of the room and returned with a long measuring tape. He tackled Katsuki and hogtied both his hands and feet together, elliciting curses and cries of surprise out of Katsuki, slight worry from Inko and a hearty laughter from Mitsuki:
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, now that's what I call a proper wrap up!" Mitsuki declared:
"THIS ISN'T FUNNY HAG! GET ME OUT OF THIS!" Katsuki screamed. Mitsuki, still laughing, got up and went to untie him, but Izuku held her hand:
"Sorry auntie Mitsuki, but Katsuki didn't apologise yet." Izuku said, staring straight at Mitsuki with his green eyes. Despite being a toddler, Mitsuki felt reluctant of forcing the matter. When Izuku calls Katsuki his name insteqd of Kacchan, it means he is serious. A standoff occured, with Katsuki demanding his freedom but refusing to apologise:
"Izuku sweetie, you have been waiting for too long. Why don't you have some candy and let us free Katsuki?" Inko asked, but Izuku didn't flinch:
"Thank you mom, but until Katsuki apologises, he will stay tied." Izuku crossed his arms. It was almost funny, how a kid not even 3 years old already possesses such willpower and moral code. It is like he grew up too fast. Still, he is Inko's baby boy, despite his uniqueness.
A few minutes pass...
"So stubborn Katsuki my friend. It's a good trait, mine is patience. I have an endless reserve. I wonder which will prevail, your stubborness or my patience. The way to freedom is simple, just apologise for breaking my jigsaw puzzle and you are free. I await your selection." Izuku said in a cold yet carefree tone, seemingly uncaring of Katsuki's struggles to free himself:
"OKAY, FINE. SORRY FOR BREAKING YOUR STUPID PUZZLE AND WHATEVER. CAN YOU FREE ME NOW?" Katsuki relented. Izuku smiled and untied him. Katsuki rubbed his wrists:
"This means nothing you hear? You ambushed me, that's why you won. Heroes win by fighting head on." Katsuki declared:
"This old conversation again Kacchan? I know you won't change your mind so whatever floats your boat." Izuku said dismissively, angering the blonde. Before Katsuki could retort, his mother stopped him:
"Calm down brat, unless you want to get hogtied again." Mitsuki warned:
"Don't worry auntie, I made my point, I'm not a sadist." Izuku said. That was a bit of a relief to all, especially Inko. The green haired matriarch is happy that Izuku has moral limits despite his incredible intelligence. Without limits, Izuku could easily wade towards a dark path, especially if he gets a powerful quirk to go along with his mind. Inko is amazed at how fast Izuku grew up already. They already have near adult level conversations, like they are friendly aquaintances instead of mother and son. Evening came and Mitsuki took her tired son to leave:
"Goodbye Inko, it has been fun tonight." Mitsuki smiled as she held Katsuki:
"It was nice, although seeing Katsuki tied up is not very nice." Inko looked at Izuku, not approving of his actions:
"I just did what needed to be done." Izuku answered, completely convinced that he did the right thing:
"Don't worry so much Inko. Izuku is really good at putting my brat to his place, no need to be hard on him." Mitsuki added:
"Goodbye auntie Mitsuki, it was wonderful to see you again." Izuku didn't forget to flash a smile and compliment Mitsuki, making her smile and blush again, like almost every time they met:
"You never lose a chance, don't you boy?" Mitsuki knelt down and kissed Izuku's forehead. Due to taking care of Izuku so many times when Inko was working, Mitsuki practically became Izuku's aunt in all but blood:
"Why don't you compliment me like this Izuku?"
Inko couldn't help but chuckle:
"You're my mother, whatever compliment I give yoi wouldn't be enough." Izuku retorted:
"He got you well here Inko. Anyway, Katsuki is sleeping so I will be off now." Mitsuki giggled as she left, leaving the 2 greenettes alone:
"Izuku sweetie, don't you think you were a bit too harsh to your friend today?" She asked. While Izuku has limits, Inko can't help but worry when she sees Izuku act so ruthlessly. She knows that Izuku is a good boy, but still worries:
"I was mom, but not too much, just enough to make him understand that I am no pushover. Kacchan respects strength, so I show him strength. Simple as that." Izuku answered. Inko smiled and shook her head:
"My dear boy, there are other, less violent ways to solve problems. There is no need to be so forceful, especially with your friends." Inko reasoned:
"Reasoning works only when the other side is willing to listen, otherwise it's a waste of time. While I do value diplomacy, it just doesn't work if the other party is unwilling to engage in diplomacy. Take the heroes for example. They give one chance to the villains to cease and desist. If the villains don't take it, then the heroes fight them. Talking is good only when both sides are willing to talk and listen." Izuku countered. Inko shook her head and smiled a little:
"I sometimes forget that you are a little genius. My little genius. But don't forget that no amount of intelligence or power is worth it if you have no heart, no kindness. Not having friends, family or loved ones is a truly miserable existance." Inko wisely added. Ixuku hugged his mother:
"I know mom and I appreciate it. I have you, Kacchan, auntie Mitsuki, uncle Masaru. I wonder why dad left though." Izuku wondered why Hisashi left. He never saw him ever since he was born, only photos and video calls. Tall, smart, kind, with fluffy white hair, green eyes, freckles, Hisashi has several similarities to Izuku, both in body and mind:
"Oh Izuku, your father works overseas to support us. While he may be far away in the United States, he does help us in his own way."
Inko reasoned. While sad that Hisashi practically left, and cursing him for leaving right after Izuku was born, Inko still loves him. Maybe he is afraid of messing up with Izuku, that's why he left? Still, leaving Inko alone with Izuku was not a right move. Thankfully, the boy is intelligent and well behaved, already acting similarly to an adult, yet still a child. The duo soon moved to Inko's bed to sleep. Despite his advanced intelligence, Izuku is still Inko's sweet baby boy, sleeping next to her and purring like a cat, a unique snoring. Still, Inko loves ruffling Izuku's hair to ellicit more purrs. The 2 greenettes sleep in the quiet night.
Same day at afternoon, Bakugo Residence, Shizuoka Prefecture, Musutafu, Japan
Little Katsuki can't sleep, despite being in his mother's hug. He is jealous of Izuku, despite not wanting to admit it. He wants to become better, stronger, smarter and faster. On one hand, he considers Izuku his rival, the one who will push him yo become the best. Katsuki already knows he wants to become a hero, the best hero, even better than All Might. When Katsuki gets his quirk, he will be able to fulfill his dreams. As for Izuku, maybe he will have him as a sidekick, or more likely as his support equipment designer. Katsuki may not be able to surpass Izuku at mechanical knowledge or other similar stuff, but it's okay. All Might is not a genius but he is the best after all. Still, it pisses him off how Izuku always manages to outsmart him and get a rise out of him almost effortlessly. Katsuki respects Izuku enough to consider him a worthy rival however. He wonders what quirk will Izuku get. Telekinesis? Fire breath? A combination of both? Something completely different? Maybe his intelligence is the effect of a quirk? Katsuki may not be as smart as Izuku, but he is still smart. All the thinking finally tired him and made him go to sleep.
June 6 2334, Aldera Kindergarten, Shizuoka Prefecture, Musutafu, Japan
"Congratulations young Bakugo, your Explosion quirk is very good for heroics." One of the kindergarten teachers praised Katsuki. After Katsuki's quirk manifested, one of the first to manifest due to being the oldest in class, teachers and fellow kindergarten pupils alike started crowding and praising him:
"Yeah, you quirk is awesome man." A pupil said:
"You're gonna be the top hero, no doubt." Another pupil praised:
"You want to play Heroes and Villains Katsuki? You can be the hero." Another pupil added:
"Please Katsuki, let me team up with you." Another pupil pleaded. Overall, everyone was busy inflating Katsuki's ego. And Katsuki liked the praise, his ego inflating:
"Of course I am awesome and I will become the best hero." That's what he said and everyone kept praising him. Well, except one. Izuku Midoriya, who was busy tinkering with the air condition controller in class. After already mastering above basic mathematics, speaking, reading and writing both Japanese and English, there was lottle that the teachers could teach him, so they mostly let him do his own thing:
"Hey Izuku, did you see my quirk? It's perfect for the future Number One hero." Katsuki boasted, creating sparks with his hands:
"A combination of uncle Masaru's Acid sweat, which allows him to ignite it by rubbing his palms, and auntie Mitsuki's Glycerin quirk. Combined they give you the ability to secrete niyroglycerine and ignite it as you see fit. A fine quirk..." Katsuki swelled with pride at Izuku's analysis:
"... but it comes with some drawbacks..." At the mention of drawbacks, Katsuki's smile broke into a look of shock:
"...like water, which can wash the nitroglycerine out of your skin, cold than can reduce your sweat production, although that can be rectified with warm clothing. Also, you have to take care not to cause collateral damage, explosions can be fairly destructive." Izuku finished his analysis, leaving Katsuki in a state of shock, surprise and then anger:
"W.. Wha... What? What the hell are you talking about? My quirk is perfect for heroics. I am a shoe in to becoming the greatest hero." Katsuki angrily insisted:
"And I agree. But you have to know yourself, your abilities and you limitations. I already told you some of them." Izuku calmly retorted. Katsuki, obviously, didn't take the blow to his ego all that well:
"Tch, whatever. You are just jealous that you don't have your quirk yet." Katsuki left. Sometime later, Katsuki gathered some boys and Izuku for a little adventure in the nearby forest. Katsuki was in front, popping his quirk forward, almost like lighting the way. When he and the others reached a downed log, which bridged the way over a small stream, Katsuki of course went to cross it first:
"See how I cross the log like a hero." He said full of pride. He went fast and almost crossed it, but his leg got snagged on a branch, making him lose his balance and fall in the shallow stream. Just like Izuku said, he couldn't use his quirk due to getting soaked with water:
"I'm okay, the water broke my fall. Just give me a minute." Katsuki's followers didn't mind the fact that he fell, calling him brave for taking the tumble without an issue instead:
"The way up is pretty steep Kacchan. Let me help you." Izuku climbed down to help his friend, offering his hand. Katsuki slapped the hand aside:
"No, I don't need your help." Katsuki said angrily. Deep down he was afraid that Izuku would retaliate, as he was never someone to take things lying down. But Katsuki was so proud of having a quirk, he didn't want the moment to be ruined by him needing help:
"Okay, suit yourself." Izuku turned away and climbed out quickly and efficiently, leaving Katsuki to climb out himself:
"Who does he think he is? First giving me help I don't need and then turning away like I don't matter." Katsuki mumbled to himself. He wouldn't admit it, but he respected, feared and was jealous of Izuku's bravery, courage, intelligence and determination.
December 16 2334, Aldera General Hospital, Shizuoka Prefecture, Musutafu, Japan
"No, your son will not get a quirk. As you can see, the small toe of his foot has 2 joints, meaning he has no chance of developing a quirk. If he had one joint, that indicates the existance of a quirk. Besides, it has been too long since he passed the age of 4, he should have manifested a quirk at most 2 months after that." Quirk doctor Akira Tsubasa callously said. Inko was mortified, Izuku was completely neutral:
"Is... is there the possibility of a mistake doctor? I mean, both me and my husband have quirks." She asked, trying to hope for the best. She knew all to well how badly the quirkless are treated, called names like nulls, freaks or invalids, denied working opportunities, many of them even commit suicide before they reach 20 years of age. Despite the prevalence of quirks, there are still people who are born quirkless, Inko knows it very well due to working as a nurse:
"No Mrs Midoriya, no quirk at all, I would have noticed. Even if it was hidden, I would be able to detect the quirk factor." The doctor answered, extinguishing the last hope:
"Don't worry mom, quirk or not, I am still me. I have all my limbs, all my organs and I am healthy." Izuku slightly squeezed his mother's hand and smiled, making her tear up and smile too:
"While your little hugging session is sweet, I would prefer you take it outside. I still have patients to see." The doctor interjected, as callous as ever:
"Yeah, yeah, go fuck yourself too." Izuku said as he dragged his pale mother outside:
"IZUKU! Don't you know that they call this bad language for a reason?" Inko asked. She has no idea how, but Izuku already knows many bad words, even though she controls his TV programs and Internet access. Unless if Izuku is smart enough to bypass the parental controls, which he likely is:
"I know, but that quack made you cry and I don't like seeing you cry. I love you mom." Izuku answered and hugged her. Inko started crying a river, literally flooding the hospital corridor. Izuku sometimes wondered if his mother has a secret tear fountain quirk or something.
Later the same day, same place
"Master, it is as you said. Your son is indeed quirkless." The doctor said over a heavily encrypted phone:
"Yes, that's why I left. I have little use for weaklings. Still, I believe there is something else you want to tell me." The voice over the phone said:
"Indeed master. The boy has heightened intelligence. He also displays anger and hatred without issues. He told me to, pardon my language, 'to go fuck myself'. Also he doesn't seem to care about heroics or heroes in general." Doctor Tsubasa answered. The voice in the other end gave a deep, scary chuckle:
"Did he now? I would have liked to see that. Still, maybe the runt will be useful in some years. Society will definitely treat him like garbage, they always do to those who are different after all. His hatred will grow, as will his intelligence, time will run its course. Worst case scenario, I arrange his mother's death to give him the final push, if needed." The other voice said:
"A brilliant plan as always. I could use a smart assistant after all. With your permission of course." The doctor replied:
"Yes, yes, I see no issue about that. In the meantime, keep watch for interesting quirks doctor. Goodbye." The line cut off after the last word was spoken.
Same time and day, Midoriya Residence, Shizuoka Prefecture, Musutafu, Japan
"Izuku my baby boy, I am so sorry that you don't have a quirk. If I did something different, better..." Inko still tried to apologise, but Izuku gently hushed her:
"Hush mother, don't blame yourself. Quirk or no quirk, I will manage, don't worry." Izuku encouraged his mother. The 2 went bavk to sleep, Izuku curled up next to Inko, his snoring similar to a cat's purring. Inko decided right then and there that she would guve her son all the love and care she can. Despite being quirkless, Izuku is her son, a very smart, brave and courageous boy. Inko would be a bad mother if she gave up on him without a fight.
I'll be honest with you. I work with the data of other fanfictions. I never saw a single episode og My Hero Academia and never read a comic. Plus, my knowledge in Japanese is too low to put correct honorifics and greetings. I did my research to Japanese civilisation though.
