Episode 38: The Real Reason Ash Will Never Win a League

Years ago, in the boardroom of the Pokemon company, the executives and president clash!

"I don't care what the fans want!" the president snapped, making the other executives flinch. The president turned in her chair. She was a tiny individual that stood under two feet tall. The only clothing she wore was a black cloak that covered her almost entirely, leaving only her golden eyes visible to board.
The Chief Operating Officer clenched his jaw and leaned forward in his chair. "Ma'am, the anime has been running for nearly two decades! Would it really hurt to let Ash win a Pokemon League that's from the games?" He recoiled when the president glared at him.
The Chief Financial Officer cleared his throat. "Madam, we share your concerns. There is a chance Ash winning a league could have the fanbase calling for the character to be retired and for the next season to have a new hero, which could greatly reduce revenue. Still, I believe it would be equally as disastrous for the company if Ash were to lose the Unova League to a trainer who doesn't know what a full battle is. Especially after losing in Sinnoh to a trainer who had never been hinted at before, that owned two Legendary Pokemon."
"He's absolutely right," the Chief Marketing Officer said, "And having Pikachu weakened at the beginning of Pokemon Black and White because of the interference of a Pokemon who won't do anything else in the entirety of Ash's adventure in Unova is a bit- guh!" An invisible force struck the Chief Marketing Officer, sending him flying into a wall on the other side of the room. The executives watched in horror as he slid down the wall, leaving a trail of blood.
"Anyone else?" the president inquired, her voice soft as silk. She glanced between the trembling executives. "Good, now, take this fool and leave at once." Her golden eyes shone with dark glee as they scrambled for the door. "Be sure to come to me if you have any more problems with the direction of the company!" She called with a maniacal cackle. After the executives left her, the president took out the outline for Pokemon Black and White. She opened it.
The hood of her black cloak fell to reveal the reddish-brown ears of a fox. The president lifted her pen with a dainty paw and lowered it to the outline. "It's your fault, you know. If I can't have you, then why should you have success, Ash?" Grace snickered. Then she wrote: "Episode 1: Pikachu vs. Snivy…"
