The night I was born, I was floating. A weird slippery liquid around me and the feeling of eyes on me is all I remember at first.

The tube breaks and the liquid's warmth rushes away like it was never there at all. Falling like a stone I slam into the floor with a heavy and wet plop. Everything's blurry and cold. My eyes aren't- I can't see!

"Ahngh! Ahhhhgng!" I scream, moving my arms and legs trying to get back into the tube. What was that?! Was that me?! I hear something thundering from my chest, a constant beat again and again. Is that a heart? My... my throat gulps in air and I try to make another sound. I'm trying to make words but there's nothing. Nothing but...

"Ahhng... Aaah?" My arms and legs try to push me up but I topple down, "Agh!"

I shiver, I'm really cold! There's a man standing right in front of me. He doesn't have eyes, but he walks forward and kneels, wrapping a warm thing around me. Something starts hurting and pulsing slowly at the base of my neck.

I don't know what this is or where I am.

"There we are, are you alright?" he asks.

Nodding, there's a smile on the man's face. I don't know who he is. There's a soft brush of his fingers on my cheek and I snap at him. My teeth sink into his finger and he doesn't even react to it. I still can't see his face. What is he? Is he my father? Things come into focus, and what I see is a scarred lump of flesh where a face should be. Something stabs at the base of my neck and immediately my body flies into a thrashing, almost mad fight to get away from him.

"AGGGGHHHHG!" My eyes widened, my scream louder than the cries I made. Kicking at him, punching him.

Or whatever this tall, scarred thing is. I scramble away on all fours and there's something that shoots out of me from the folds of the red cape he wrapped me in. Red and black tendrils stab into him and he doesn't move.

"Go on, take it." his voice is cold.

The pulses go faster, my tendrils stabbing in and drilling. The sharp dull pulse of dread seeps in as my tendrils break and there's this concern before his lips downturn into a scowl.

"It's to be expected you can't take my quirk..." he sighs and shakes his head.

Quirk? What is that? Is that what's- His hand reaches for me and smoke jets out as I crash through the roof with my tendrils drilling me out of there. What's- the air slams into me and my lungs gulp down the air.

"Ahhhggh?!" my hands paw at the air and my feet kick at it too. Something is holding me up above the ground! What is it? I don't... That's when I see it shining out towards me.

The moon.

It's big and silver with its light bathing everything. I let out a coo and reach for it with my hand.

"Uuu..." I smile. It's beautiful up here. My cape billows around and the same pinging pain in my head starts up again. I can't stay here! That's when I move again but this time being pulled along by my tendrils.

The air billows through my hair and my quirk sends me floating along through it. The city lights shining out to give me more of the airy feeling in my chest. The world is beautiful.

The air, the night cries of bugs, and the stars all guide me towards what would change everything. The wind picks up and a rumble rolls through the big fluffy things in the sky.

Those were clouds and the rumbling was thunder. Something wet smacks me in the face and my eyes squeeze shut. More and more hit me and chill me to the bone.

"Ahhhnnn?!" My cry breaks apart with a bright flash and the bone rattling roll of thunder. Covering my ears and spiraling down I learned of two things at once.

Thunder is the rumbly noise.

Lightning is the big flash.

There's no other way around it and I land. I grab at the edges of my cloak around my neck and fold a length up to kinda be a hood I think.

I huddle my cloak around myself with the rain falling in drenching sheets. The night air billows it around and my hood barely keeps out the rain. My tendrils try to cover myself to keep out the rain but there's nothing to do but wait. The lightning crashes and flashes in the skies. The thunder growls. It's super scary. There's a rumble in my stomach.

I begin to trudge my way towards a smell that comes to me on the wind. Something warm and something nice. I don't really know what it is but it smells good. Nice smells fill my nose. (That's the thing in the middle of my face.) That's when I find the yellow light. It fills the spot in front of me with the glow that cuts through the rainy dark. It's a place with food inside! My hands press against the window and I stare in through the glass at the people there.

"Oooo..." I coo.

I don't know what smells so good, but I want it. The people inside notice me and the guy at the front part facing people comes out to look at me. He looks pretty young but I'm not sure what age he is.

"Hey come on in and get yourself out of the rain, kid." he says with a smile, "What're you doing out there anyway?"

I can't answer because I don't know how to talk, but I pull back my cloak hood and go towards the front. There're a few people already there and I just stare at the bowls of ramen like they're so good even though I haven't tasted them yet.

The guy nods, "You want that, huh?"

My head goes up and down like his and he grins. Getting out different sizes of bowls there's this feeling of odd... well, it's like when you're not sure of something so you're trying to figure it out.

I squint and stare at them. They're all the same size.

"Oh ah..." he sets different sized bowls out, "Does this help?"

There's a big one, one a little smaller, and the smallest one. I pick the big one by pointing at it.

He fills it with the yummy-smelling stuff and passes it towards me with a paper package with something in it. They're solid and feel like wood. Some set of sticks? I don't know what to do with them.

"You don't even know how to use chopsticks?"

I just pick up the bowl and start chowing down. The meat and other ingredients really are good but the heat turns my mouth into a numb and hurting thing.

"Auuuuugh!" I drop the bowl and fan my face, "Auuuu!" suddenly everyone freezes and the warmth ends. They're all staring at my hands.

There're small holes. The same chilling desire floods my mind. Their quirks are just who they are. Mine to take and to use for myself. The chill of their fear sends shivers into me because of Danger Sense and my cloak is grabbed by some big guy roughly dragging me back out into the rain.

"Rahgh! Raaaghhhh!" I scramble my hands and feet screaming and pleading just to let me back in, kicking my feet and my Blackwhip winds around the doorframe, "Rrrraggggh!" the door breaks off and slams into us.

I'm thrown into the puddles coughing with the rainwater seeping into my cloak. There's a rush of something below me and my body flies up just barely missing the man's shark head.

Why is he attacking me? Is it because I scared him? My Blackwhip snaps out and lashes around him. In moments my other quirk takes over. A red aura snakes into him as he thrashes and bites.

"Aieeee!" I scream with my other quirk pulling more and more at the other quirk that the man has as he bites me and sinks under the ground again. When he surfaces from the wall my Blackwhip spreads over him and all I can think of is just getting whatever's happening to stop.

So the aura begins to take it again with my Blackwhip quickening the process. The shark man screams and thrashes but there's that same sickening pulling turning to ripping.

No. I didn't want this! Put it back! Put it back! But that's when the Quirk sticks and becomes part of my own. With a whimper and a cry I try to put it back but the man scrambles back.

"Get away from me!" he screams, "You freak! You monster!"

"Dunnn waaaaa!" I scream back, "Dunnnn waaa!" suddenly I move and float upward to fly away. The people begin to toss quirks at me and bright lights burn my eyes. Covering them I pull myself along with no idea where to go.

The rain smacks me in the face and I keep flying on. Just find a place to stay. A home. But where would home be? What would home be? What does it look like? Life has proven to be difficult. More difficult than I thought. But why hasn't the man followed me yet? As I fly through the air all I can think of is a real shelter with warmth and light like the food place. (I later learned that it was called a Ramen Restaurant.)

That's when I find a tiny shack. A little run down but it'll do. My tendrils gently open the door and unwind the cloak to dry. Slowly I settle in for a long rest. The rain drums on the roof and the thunder rumbles gently.

But I'm not getting wet anymore. The wind lashes at the window and the branches tap out a bunch of nothing.

Life is hard but maybe it won't be so bad.

The Symbol of Evil stands and sees the Creation grow smaller and smaller before flying away completely. Dusting off his suit and walking towards the entrance over which a booth overlooks the other tanks.

"All For One are you harmed sir? We can send a retrieval Nomu out to collect hi-" a squat man with golden-rimmed round goggles begins before a hand rises from the villain.

"No, Garaki. That won't be necessary." All For One grins, "He's stronger than I ever thought possible. I'd like this to be a special project."

"Shall I get to monitoring him?" Garaki asks.

"Yes. Gladly. Let my son figure out the world on his own." He grins and dusts off his suit. This would be a fascinating experiment indeed.
