Now, don't worry about chronological order, when I write a new chapter, I will fix it to where it's in order. Don't expect for me to update a ton in here until this becomes the main story when PWoD comes along.
The sun started to climb over the mountains of the Sky Kingdom, casting its warming glow across the jagged peaks.
To most dragons, the rays coming off the burning ball in the sky would come as a nuisance since it meant that they had to get up and be a productive member of society.
To Glory, however, it meant jack-shit.
Glory was sleeping in her room, a smile on her face as the warm rays of the sun came through the large window that she had Clay put in her room for this exact purpose.
Usually, she would have to grumble and wake up as well. But, not today. Today was the "Dragonet's of Destiny's" day off.
They had been working non-stop for the last couple of weeks on their new home and they had decided that they all deserved a good days rest to go and do their own thing for once.
For Glory, that thing was sleeping... at least it should be.
Glory couldn't see it in her sleep but a dark-colored dragon stood, watching her sleeping form from the balcony outside Glory's room.
"Have you seen my sloth!" Kinkajou shouted, slamming Glory's door to her room open, making Glory jump out of her sleep and immediately turn red when she turned around hissing, not seeing the dark shape fly from her balcony.
"Kinkajou!" Glory roared, "What did I say about waking me up!"
"Ya but, I can't find Dusty!?" Kinkajou said while pouting. Dusty being her pet sloth she took with her.
"And you couldn't have asked Clay or any of his sibs?" Glory asked sarcastically.
"No, why would I ask them?" Kinkajou asked, cocking her head.
"We have talked about this before," Glory said, sighing in annoyance, "They can sometimes feel vibrations when something in the area moves, they would probably be able to find Dusty even faster than I could."
Kinkajou nodded in understanding, "Ok..."
Glory gave her a deadpan look, knowing Kinkajou still wanted something.
"Since you're awake now, can you help me?"
Glory groaned out loud but nodded her head, already knowing she probably wasn't going to be able to enjoy the sun for the rest of the day.
Lo and behold, they found Dusty just sleeping inside Kinkajou's room under her bed, not enjoying the bright light flooding into Kinkajou's room just like Glory's.
Glory walked through the halls of the mountain, Kinkajou following her.
"Thanks, Glory for helping me!" Kinkajou said happily, rubbing her head against Dusty.
Glory nodded, "Just please look everywhere in your room before you come and wake me up, you know that I like my sleep if I can get it."
Glory had her eyes closed, already knowing the halls by heart. Not paying attention to who or what was currently in front of her.
"Hey Deathbringer!" Kinkajou said happily.
Glory's eyes shot open, looking slightly up to see the grinning face of the NightWing in front of her.
"Hey, what were you doing a little bit ago outside of-" Kinkajou was cut off when Deathbringer gave her a neutral look, taking his eyes off Glory's
What? Glory thought to herself. Why did that happen?
"Anyways, I'll leave ya to it!" Kinkajou said, running around Deathbringer. Dusty tightly clung to her back as she ran down the halls, likely waking up more dragons as she shouted down the halls.
"So... uhh," Glory muttered not knowing what to say. Damnit, it's to early to deal with you.
Glory was physically holding back the pink on her scales from showing up, not knowing what to do with the dragon in front of her.
"How was you're... sleep," Deathbringer chuckled that last bit out.
Glory slightly turned orange, "It was going great till Kinkajou ran into my room shouting about her sloth."
"Oh come on, we both know you would be worried if Silver somehow disappeared," Deathbringer said while turning around, hinting at her to follow.
"Silver knows better than to disappear like that," Glory said sarcastically with a smile on her face.
Deathbringer chuckled at that, "When are you going to bring him to the mountain?"
"After we are done, don't want him getting hurt during the construction," Glory explained, "Mom is handling him just fine."
Deathbringer nodded, agreeing with her, "Speaking of which, when are you going to go and visit her again?"
"Pretty soon, I was actually thinking about visiting her today and spending the night there the next couple of days," Glory answered. Both of them walking into the main room, Winter and Icicle already up early as usual. Both gave the two dragons a nod in silence, not having anything to say.
Winter and Icicle were like her, not being a morning dragon. But unlike her, they still woke up early.
"Old habits die hard," Glory thought to herself about the two white dragons.
Deathbringer stopped and turned around, looking like he was nervous about something while looking at her, "Do you think... that I could go with you?" he asked nervously in a very unlike Deathbringer way.
Glory was actually shocked more at how Deathbringer was acting than the question he asked. The question was actually pretty expected, that didn't surprise her at all. But the way he acted, now that was strange.
Deathbringer has flirted with her out in public while showing no shame or embarrassment at all, and now he was acting nervous?
Why?
"Not that I am saying no, but why do you want to come?" Glory asked him.
"Uhhh..." Deathbringer asked.
"He is worried that the NightWings might still be a bit upset," a groggy voice said as the dragon walked into the room.
Glory turned to look at Moon, "He can answer for himself," She explained and turned back to Deathbringer, "Is this true?"
Deathbringer nodded.
Glory had a slight smile, "Not that I need the protection, but you can come." she turned to leave, getting ready to leave. Not seeing Deathbringer give Moon a happy look, whispering thank you in his mind.
Moon gave a happy smile and a thumbs up.
"Hey Winter, think you can tell the rest of the group where I went if they ask?" Glory asked the white dragon.
Winter nodded his head, "Sure, me and the sand snorter don't plan to practice till this evening, so I am sure I will see most of the group before then."
Glory gave a nod and looked back at Deathbringer, "You coming?"
