When 2B wakes up from a decades long coma, she finds herself in debt to a lone human man named Kouki, and stuck in a desolate city overrun by Machines. With nothing left to her but her name, 2B swears her loyalty to Kouki, and together the two of them seek to escape the city, and perhaps for 2B to unearth her own past along the way.
