Chapter 1
Nathan and Haley had known each other. Their whole lives.
Dan hadn't wanted to be in Lucas's life and that remained.
But the two having a relationship was a priority to their mothers.
Which is why Nathan and Lucas grew up as brothers.
Haley was close with River court boys and grew up alongside Peyton and Brooke since they were Nathan's closest friends.
Nathan and Haley shared their first kiss in secret.
In the Raven's gym as Nathan was leaving from practice.
They were 16. These encounters continued as they spent more time together since she was his tutor.
Haley's feelings for Nathan were obvious. But Nathan was reserved regarding what he felt for Haley.
He was Nathan Scott after all and had been conditioned by Dan to have the right girl his side. Haley didn't fit that image.
But Peyton did and it was her who was on his arm during prom.
And graduation. After high school ended. The two even left Tree Hill two together.
Dan and Deb couldn't of been more happy and pleased.
What no one knew was that Haley and Nathan had a private goodbye at the Scott family beach house.
What started off as kissing lead to Haley losing her virginity to the boy she had spent a portion of her life caring about and loving.
Which for her was enough. In the morning he left early.
Haley knew and expected he would. Yet it still hurt her.
She wondered what this meant to him. To her it meant everything.
Haley left the beach house crying quietly in her car as she drove home.
Knowing Nathan and what she wanted with him would never happen.

Weeks into the summer. As she begins this next chapter of life.
She discovered after having a flu she couldn't shake. That she was pregnant.
