He didn't want to sleep, for he knew that he would have the same nightmare. Jon can't let anyone see that. So, Jon lay awake in his bed. He had to stay awake. He looked down to see Ghost sleeping soundly and he smiled a little. He wished he could sleep but he didn't want anyone to know. Jon sighed as his eyes dropped. He was so tired, but he didn't want to sleep., no he can't sleep. Then they will find out. Sure, his father knows but he didn't want everyone to know. 'This is going to be a long night.' He thought before he looked at his clock.

Rhaegar let out a shaky breath as he looked at the TV. He wasn't really watching it, but he needed to take his mind off of his son's nightmares. He looked over to see Ned watching the TV look over to him.

"What's wrong? It's Jon, isn't it?" Ned asked, taking a sip from his beer. Rhaegar nodded.

"Yes, his nightmares have returned but he won't tell me about them. I know he's a teenager but I never…." Rhaegar cut off a shook his head. He never got to watch his son grow up. He has no idea how to deal with nightmares.

"Hey, that's not your fault, if it makes you feel better, Brain is the same way, maybe we can learn together," Ned said making Rhaegar smile a little.

He was running again. Only this time, he was bleeding badly. "Someone help!" he called but no one was around. No one is ever around. Jon let out a shaky breath as he fell to the ground and whimpered. "Monter, maybe I can meet you," Jon muttered before he closed his eyes.

Jon woke with a gasp, but he didn't yell. He can't let anyone know. Ghost looked up at him with a sad look. "I'm…I'm fine, boy," Jon asked petting the dog. Jon groaned when he looked at the clock. It was five in the morning. There was no way he was getting back to sleep. He rubbed his eyes before he got out of bed to get some coffee. Maybe, that will help. He knows it won't but it's better than trying to go back to sleep.

When Jon walked into the kitchen, he found his father asleep in the next room on the couch. He smiled a little with a sigh. He didn't want to wake him, so he went to start the coffee. He ran his hand over his face and through his hair while he waited. However, as he closed his eyes, he saw the men that hurt him in the darkness. Jon opened his eyes to see his father staring at him. Jon realized that he was now on the floor, Ghost was laying his head on his leg. Jon took a deep breath and closed his eyes again.

"It's ok, Jon, I'm here. I'm right here," his father said holding onto Jon's hand. Jon opened his eyes again and sighed.

"I'm sorry," Jon muttered while he tried to stand. Rhaegar shook his head and stood up. He held out his hand for Jon to take.

"It's not your fault," Rhaegar said pulling his son into his arms. "Do you want to talk about it?" Rhaegar asked, leading his son into the living room. Jon took a deep breath before he nodded slowly.

"I might not say everything yet though," Jon told his father as they sat down on the couch.

A/N: How was that? I know I haven't worked on this story in a while. A lot has happened, and I forgot about this story TBH but it's back now. Thank you all for reading. -Captain Voxland
