School Days Ch 8: Blood Omen

Izuku had left UA High after a training session with Itsuka, Tetsu, and the rest of Class 1B. Both first-year classes had a summer training camp scheduled to help them pass the provisional licence exam. In light of the recent villain attacks against UA, the faculty had kept the destination a closely guarded secret. The students would only know once the day of the camp arrived. Since Izuku was not a hero course student, he would not be going with them, nor would he be privy to their destination.

Izuku got off the bus on the east side of Mustafar, where the Atma Foundation clinic had been set up. He took a shortcut through an alley to avoid the main streets as night was starting to fall. There was a full moon that night, which would cause Altered Beast to activate against his will and transform him into the Werewolf. As he reached the alley's centre, he noticed that the lights of the streets ahead began to flicker rapidly. He also felt a familiar sensation, of reality itself being twisted and distorted.

Alarmed, he instinctively transformed into the Werewolf and searched around with his enhanced senses. He smelled a demon above! She was a brunette, a succubus-like creature with bat wings. Unlike the exhibitionist Scarlet, she was at least partially clothed, wearing white shorts and a white top that was open save for a button between the breasts. She also had a spaded tail. This succubus-like demon was one of the Lilim, the daughters of Lilith.

The Lilim fired a bolt of lightning, which hurled him back despite him blocking it. He landed by the entrance of the alley, knocking over a few full trash cans. "Not now!" Beast thought to himself, knowing this battle would drag out and get him caught under the full moon.

His regeneration triggered and promptly removed the electrical burns he had suffered. Altered Beast retreated from the narrow alley to the street and retorted with Lunar Balls. The Lilim evaded them by ascending. She hurled a volley of three ball lightning, but Beast leapt away from each, then upward to escape the last. He changed into the Garuda midair, then fired airy feathers. The Lilim evaded left and right until he whipped a tornado into existence.

The Lilim got dragged into the funnel, then torn to shreds by a follow-up of more airy feathers. He descended into the alley, but by then, the dark had overtaken the sky. The moon became fully visible, forcing a painful transformation into the Werewolf. His face and skin tore apart as each wolf-like feature took shape, from his snout to his sharp claws. To him, the world took on a red hue, despite being in the physical world and not a Domain or the Expanse.

The blood-like scent of danger, and food, filled his nostrils. "GRRR!" he growled, then leapt onto the roofs for a better view of the area.

Beast followed the scent and came upon the zombie of a human girl. She had blonde hair tied into balls and dressed in a sailor uniform for high school. The girl was barely older than him while in human form and seemed to be hiding around a corner. The zombie girl peaked out to look for him, but could not see where he was, until he pounced upon her from a roof behind! The Werewolf bit into her shoulder and blood poured from the wound.

"ARRGGH!" screamed the zombie girl.

She grabbed a knife hidden in her uniform and stabbed the Werewolf. It snapped upon impacting his skin, but the force of the blow still successfully dislodged him. She got up and fled, but before he could give chase, another Lilim came down and shot him with lightning. He broke chase to evade the attack, then hurled a Lunar Ball at the succubus-like demon. His shot connected cleanly and punctured the female demon, who burst into Magatsuhi motes.

The zombie school girl had escaped during his lapse of attention to deal with the Lilim. He sniffed the air and caught the scent of her blood. Just then, a series of police sirens approached his location. At that moment, Beast received a telepathic buzz. "Izuku, where are you? The full moon is already out!" asked Kashiko.

Upon hearing the message, Izuku's inner self regained control of his body with the colour of the world becoming restored. "Kashiko?" he asked.

"There are police converging on the area! We're pulling you out!" cried Abel through the line.

Beast vanished in a flicker of blue light, summoned to the Mustafar Park Domain by Abel. Once away from the light of the full moon, he had regained his lucidity completely and made his report. "After I beat the demon, I must have blacked out. I remember seeing this zombie girl. I might have bitten her," reported Izuku, trying to recall past the fog in his memories.

"Crap! That wasn't a zombie you saw. That must have been a person. Oh great... I'm going to look for her," said Abel.

Meanwhile, that very same girl stumbled through alleys in a different part of the city. The Werewolf bite stung painfully and dyed her uniform red. Despite the pain, the girl stumbled through alleys in search of a way to dress her wound. Her near brush with death had brought back painful memories for the girl. Memories of her old life flashed before her eyes, memories she wished would have stayed buried forever.

She was Himiko, the eldest daughter of the Toga family. She originally came from what many would consider a good family. As a little girl, Himiko had found a small bleeding bird out in her backyard. It had scrapes all over its body with blood seeping out of them. Instead of feeling compassion, Himiko felt an attraction to its blood, seeing it as a sweet crimson nectar. Driven by a new hunger, she began to suck the blood, savouring every drop that graced her tongue.

It brought the widest smile to her face. "What are you doing? Stop that!" commanded her mother, when she caught her sucking the bird. She quickly snatched the bird away from her.

"Quit smiling like that! It's so creepy! You must be some deviant!" scolded her father.

After that, Himiko suppressed her desire for blood and assumed the life of a normal girl. Despite her guise, she still harboured a taste for blood that could not be suppressed forever. One day during middle school, she saw a boy who had returned from the school yard. The frizzy-haired boy was covered in scrapes and cuts. Apparently, he had been involved in a fight with another student. The sight of his blood awakened her long suppressed desire to taste that sweet, crimson nectar once more.

She looked around and found a lunch box left unattended next to a box cutter and some boxes. She grabbed a straw from the lunch box and the box cutter, then followed the boy to a seemingly quiet location in her school's halls. When he was looking away, she pounced, and drove the box cutter into his back! The boy collapsed and she used the straw to suck the blood she had drawn from his shoulder. The taste was sweet and brought the widest smile to her lips and tears of joy to her eyes.

A girl came by the hall, then caught her drinking the boy's blood through the straw. "AH!" she screamed, before turning around and fleeing to get help.

Word of that attack spread rapidly and had shocked everyone to the core. Himiko's parents had disowned her soon after, leaving her no choice but to run away and live on the streets. For nearly two years, she hid in alleys, attacking unfortunate victims who crossed her path. She drank their blood to sate her thirst and robbed them for the means to sustain herself. Her thoughts returned to the present, where she found a small, family-owned drug store. She found a brick and used it to smash a hole into the door's window, then reached in and unlocked it.

She rushed in and grabbed medical supplies, then fled before the police arrived. Once a safe distance away, she removed her shirt. She applied iodine to the wound on her shoulder and winced as it stung painfully. Next, she began to bandage the wound to stop the bleeding. Due to the damage, she would need to find new clothes as well, since her old uniform had been torn by the Werewolf.

She spent the next day resting to recover from that brush with death. As night came, she walked through an alley on her way to her hideout. A young man in a hooded black cloak appeared before her in a flicker of blue light. She shivered. Her gut instinct told her that this person far eclipsed her in raw power. If they were to battle, the only outcome would be her death. She envisioned that demise, sprawled in the alley covered in blood as the last of her life left her body.

That knowledge made her keenly aware of every movement from either of them. "W... Who are you?" she asked meekly.

"I am the Immortal Stranger. It has come to my attention that you had been attacked by a Werewolf last night," he replied.

"W... What do you mean?" asked Himiko. Despite her asking that, her wound started to throb with pain, as though to remind of her of that incident.

"That Werewolf is a member of my organization, the Atma Foundation. During the full moon, he lost control of himself and bit you. He infected you with the Atma virus. The virus will eventually cause you to lose your Quirk, but in exchange, will give you the ability to transform into a demon with a hunger to match. My organization wishes to extend its hand in support. We understand it must be difficult, but we'd like to help you. Please leave your life of crime behind and join us," replied the Stranger.

Himiko had been stunned by what she had heard. "You're here to recruit me?" she asked.

"Aye. I know this must be sudden, but we'll allow you some time to consider our offer," said the Stranger. "Until then, please take these to sate your hunger."

Himiko felt a sudden rush of information fill her mind, images of where the Stranger's help could be found. She saw images of the Atma Foundation clinic and its location relative to nearby landmarks. She saw the the distant skyline of Mustafar, as well as signs marking the streets near the clinic. Once the vision passed, the Stranger gave Himiko a Tupperware box filled with a crimson substance moulded into six muffins. By simply being in their presence, Himiko felt her hunger well up and compel her to consume them.

The Stranger gave Himiko a seventh muffin for her immediate consumption. Upon feasting on it, she instantly felt satiated and her hunger receded completely. "This is delicious! What is it?" asked Himiko as she examined the remaining muffins.

"Magatsuhi," replied the Stranger.

"Maga what?" asked Himiko.

"Magatsuhi. By being infected with Atma, you must eat this to maintain your sanity," replied the Stranger.

"So, am I like, not human any more? Is my human life really over?" asked Himiko, fearful of what being infected meant.

"Not quite. It's more like a demon shares your body with you. You can change between being a human or a vampire. Not surprisingly, your Atma power is called 'Blood Omen,'" replied the Stranger. "After you've thought about it, please join us. I'll come back in a week's time or so to hear your decision. Good luck."

As quickly as he appeared, the Immortal Stranger vanished. Her meeting with him was a strange and sudden one, but his offer sounded quite tempting. Himiko was familiar with werewolf and vampire lore and how they could infect people by biting them. It was essentially what had happened to her. Himiko left the alley to consider the things she had seen so far, from the Werewolf battling the succubi to the Immortal Stranger inviting her to join the Atma Foundation.

Some time later, Himiko found where a restaurant which gave off the fragrant scent of food. The restaurant was a pizzeria and outside was an aluminum garbage can with several boxes of pizza piled on top. The owner dumped some more pizza boxes and returned to the kitchen. The moment the Italian man left, Himiko went over and snatched some for herself. The box had a few partially chewed crusts, but a bonanza of two uneaten slices of pepperoni pizza. She took those uneaten slices to a hidden spot, then wolfed them down.

When she had her fill, she left the area and continued wandering the alleys of Mustafar. She felt a presence in the area, but this one was different from that of the Stranger. A young woman with deep violet hair and a matching business suit emerged from the shadows. Himiko instinctively changed into Blood Omen's Nosferatu form. As the Nosferatu, she had a bulbous bald head, red eyes, pointed ears, and clawed fingers. She wore a frilly black Gothic Lolita dress which looked out of place on such a monstrous form. The Nosferatu form looked less human and far less cute than her natural form.

"Who are you? Have you come to attack me? If you did, you'll find that I'm no pushover!" warned Blood Omen.

"Don't worry," assured the business woman. "I'm Yuriko Engel. I see that you've already had a taste of my gift to Hero Society. Relish and savour it to your heart's content."

"What do you want with me?" asked Blood Omen.

"The Singularity is coming, yet this warped Hero Society blunders on, blissfully ignorant of its fate. If you despise this warped society and desire the strength to face the future, join my cause," replied Yuriko.

"You want to recruit me?" asked Blood Omen. "The Atma Foundation tried recruiting me earlier. Why should I go with you instead of them?"

"The Foundation would deny you the freedom to use your powers as you see fit. They expect people like you to skulk in the shadows like a common rat. You are the one with power. No one should deny you anything!" replied Yuriko.

"You know, your offer sounds so much better. I think I'll take you up on it," said Blood Omen.

"Wonderful! I'll show you to my agent. Tell them that I sent you," said Yuriko, who opened a portal for the two of them.

Once Blood Omen followed her in, she found herself in front of the Detnerat Headquarters in Deika City of Aichi Prefecture. Yuriko led Himiko in and tapped the desk to draw the receptionist's attention. "I have a new recruit for Mr. Yotsubashi. Please let him know that I sent her," said Yuriko.

"Aye, ma'am," replied the woman.

"The man you want is Mr. Yotsubashi, the CEO. Please be respectful while there," said Yuriko.

"Thank you, Ms. Engel," said Himiko.

Once Himiko ascended to the upper floors, she came upon the offices of a major executive of the Detnerat Company. The place had been kept immaculate and had various articles of media hung on the wall. They listed the company's endeavours from successful new product launches to major milestones in its growth. Himiko entered the CEO's office and encountered a middle-aged man with orange hair and a widow's peak. He was dressed in a black suit with white stripes and carried a glass of wine in his hand.

The man was seated at his window-side desk and stood up. "Hello. I am Rikiya Yotsubashi, President and CEO of Detnerat Company. I am also Re-Destro, the leader of the Meta Liberation Army," greeted the man.

Himiko approached and shook Mr. Yotsubashi's outstretched hand. "I'm Himiko Toga. Pleased to meet you. Yuriko sent me here. I have to say, I really like your idea of being free to use Quirks and other powers as you wish," said Himiko.

"Aye. You've come to the right place! Ms. Engels told me you are an Atma infectee with the powers of a vampire. You were infected by one of the Foundation's rogue agents," said Yotsubashi.

"Yeah. All my life, I've loved blood because of my Quirk, but my parents made me act like a 'normal girl' and a 'good girl.' That Werewolf bit me and made me even more like a vampire than I was before. I just want somewhere I can be me and not have to hide who I am," said Himiko.

"Well, you've found the right place, young Toga. My organization, the MLA, stands for free power usage. We're glad that you've decided to join the fight for freedom," said Yotsubashi. "Here in Deika City, you can use your powers on the streets and no one will mind, not even the police or the pro heroes. Of course, you should be careful not to harm or bother others, but otherwise, you are free to use your powers here. You should get some time in at one of our training centres. I'll have the arrangements made."

"Thank you, Mr. Yotsubashi," said Himiko.

After her meeting with Re-Destro, Rikiya Yotsubashi, she received a referral to the multi-floor Titan Dojo for training in Atma powers. Having been informed of her coming, the staff showed her to a large room with robotic training dummies. She transformed into the Nosferatu form of Blood Omen and charged at the first robot with blinding speed. After a single swipe with her claws, the robot promptly separated into ribbons of metal.

A second robot tried to shoot out a boxing glove, but she evaded it. She closed and grabbed the robot, then ripped it into halves via superhuman strength. The third robot stood off and started shooting tennis balls at her. She responded by changing into mist and shifting around them to approach the robot. She reformed and sliced it apart. The fourth robot tried to shoot tennis balls again, but she cast her gaze into its optic sensor. The robot got hypnotized and rendered helpless as she ran up and sliced through it.

"So I really am a vampire now," Himiko thought to herself after having used all of these dark gifts as Blood Omen Nosferatu. She transformed into a bat and flew near the roof, then across the room, and back. "My Quirk already gave me some of the traits, but Atma brought me the rest of the way."

The training made time progress quickly and Himiko had gained a good grasp of her abilities as Blood Omen. She was brought before Mr. Yotsubashi to receive her first mission as an MLA agent. "Hello Toga, how are you liking your new abilities? Are you getting acquainted with them?" asked Yotsubashi.

"Yeah. I've become a true vampire now," replied Himiko.

"Good. We want you to perform your first mission for us," said Yotsubashi.

"What do you want me to do?" asked Himiko.

"Have you heard of the League of Villains?" asked Yotsubashi. Himiko nodded affirmatively. "Good. They're making quite a name for themselves as of late. They were behind the attack at the USJ at UA High. After Stain's profile and association with the League got released to the public, the League has been getting new recruits. That will be your job. You're to pose as one of these recruits and infiltrate the League," replied Yotsubashi.

"That should be no problem. Being sneaky is my specialty!" assured Himiko with a smile.

"Good! Make sure they do not learn of your true allegiance. Oh, and be wary of revealing any information about Atma or the supernatural. They can trace it back to us," said Yotsubashi.

"Of course," replied Himiko.

"To join the League, you'll need to get in touch with Giran. He's a broker who's helping the League recruit new talent. Once you're in, get in their good graces and report their activities to us," said Yotsubashi.

"Will do!" replied Himiko.

As Himiko started her mission for the MLA, she found herself in an alley leading up to an abandoned bar somewhere in Kamino. She knocked on the door and was allowed inside by a large bouncer. After locking the door behind him, the bouncer brought her to meet a man dressed in a violet suit who wore sunglasses. He had a goatee and a small moustache. His hair was grey and parted on the right with bangs hanging near his eyes. He was smoking a cigarette and in between puffs, he revealed that he was missing one of his front teeth.

"So, you wish to see me?" asked the man.

"Yeah. You're Giran, aren't you? I heard the news about Stain's death and how he hated modern heroes. I heard he was working with that hand guy from the League of Villains. I want to join the League!" replied Himiko.

"You do? Very well. I am indeed Giran. I can introduce you to him. I've arranged for a group of like-minded people to go see him. You can join if you want," said Giran.

"Sure! I'd like that very much," replied Himiko.

Three days later, Giran met with Himiko outside of an unused three story building. Two other men had come to join them in meeting the League's leader. The first was a man with a patchwork face and messy black hair. The other looked more like a humanoid gecko lizard with spiky violet hair than an actual human being. Giran led the trio into the bar on the top floor of the building, where they found Shigaraki seated across from Kurogiri, who was clad in a suit and tending bar.

"Hello Shigaraki. Word is, you're about to do something big. I've brought some new recruits for your club. Use 'em well," said Giran.

"So it's really you," said the patchwork man. "I'm Dabi. If you want firepower, I've got it in spades."

"Wow! You're the hand guy! I heard Stain worked for you. I want to join your group!" said Himiko. "I'm Himiko Toga and I'm a vampire. I'm very sneaky, so if you want to get somewhere without anyone noticing, I'm the girl for you!"

"Stain wanted these fake heroes of today eliminated. By working with the League, I'll see to it that his ideals become reality. I'm Spinner," introduced the gecko man. "I can climb walls easily so if you want to get someone up high, I've got you covered."

Hearing each of the new recruits mention Stain infuriated Shigaraki to no end. "Stain this and Stain that! Stain, Stain, Stain! All I ever hear about is Stain!" ranted Shigaraki.

"Even so, we should use them. It's just the two of us and we need the manpower," said Kurogiri.

Shigaraki sighed. "Fine," said Shigaraki.

"Now that I've gotten you these new recruits, I'm charging you my finder's fee. Please pay promptly and in full," said Giran.

"Fine," said Shigaraki, who punched in the commands into his smartphone.

Giran smiled as he saw some money added to his account via his smartphone. "Thank you, Shigaraki. It's been pleasure doing business with you."

))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Some time later, a quiet night had fallen in the city of Kamino to the east of Mustafar City in central Japan. A drunken salary man in a grey suit shambled through an alley in a stupor, barely able to stand and walk. As he reached an intersection in the alleys, Himiko Toga emerged from the shadows before him with a smile. "Hi there! It's a lovely evening today!" Himiko greeted the man.

"Yesh, lovely," replied the salary man.

"How was your day? I'm dying to know!" asked Himiko.

"The bossh is such a hard assh. He'sh having us work overtime to finish our cleaning robot. We're ahead of schedule and work is going shmoothly," ranted the salary man.

"Oh, it must be hard. I feel for you, I really do. Look into my eyes and see how sincere I am," said Himiko. The salary man foolishly took the bait. Himiko's eyes glowed a pink colour briefly and the man froze up. "Let me show you how much I care by giving you a sweet kiss!"

The demon within Himiko compelled her towards the sweet crimson nectar in the man's veins. As she approached, she transformed into the Nosferatu, then sank her teeth into his neck. She lapped up every drop, yet the man did not resist, being enthralled by the spell of the vampire. When she had her fill, she purred as she licked the sweet nectar on her lips. She let the man fall to the ground, then changed into a bat to fly away from the alley.

Moments later, a Spade Mercenary Wild Hunt came upon the area and found the exsanguinated salary man on the ground. They examined him carefully and noticed the puncture marks on his neck. They reported their discovery to their master via telepathy. "Get him to the clinic immediately!" commanded Abel.

"Yes milord," replied one of the ghostly hunters.

The Wild Hunt picked up the man and walked him across the sky to the Atma Foundation clinic, where they consigned him to one of the beds. A clinic doctor examined the man, who was Iwai Matsu according to the driver's licence in his wallet. From the puncture wounds on his neck, he concluded that Matsu had been bitten by a vampire. Not only that, he had been infected with Atma via the bite. As a result, Matsu had the Atma "Cobra Triangle," which allowed him to transform into a set of three red, conjoined serpents which formed a triangle. It could hover and generate poison as a form of attack.

Since Vampire demons could not infect people with Atma via their bites, that ruled them out as the party responsible for the attack. Instead, the likely culprit was an Atma Avatar with the traits of a vampire. The doctor, the demonic bird Caladrius in disguise, summoned Abel to the man's side to take a look at him and report his discovery. "Yes. I happen to know of one such infectee. Her name is Blood Omen. It seems she has refused the Foundation's offer and intends to carry on as if she was a real vampire," remarked Abel.

"Does that means the Foundation will have to hunt her, master?" asked Caladrius.

"Yes. She's already infected one person. There will be more if she's allowed to continue," replied Abel.

After this report from the Wild Hunt and Caladrius, a few days had passed before the Spade Mercs detected someone attempting to teleport. The Wild Hunt flew through the sky, hidden between planes of existence as it investigated the destination of the teleportation. It was in the forested wilderness somewhere beyond the northern reaches of Mustafar, where people go camping as recreation. They saw Blood Omen, Himiko Toga, among a group of suspicious people who exited a misty black portal. One of the suspicious people happened to be Kurogiri from the USJ attack.

The Wild Hunt recognized these other people as members of the League of Villains based on Spade Mercenary intelligence and police reports. The League approached a cliff which overlooked the area around a campsite. The students wore blue track suits with the letters "UA" written in white letters. They were seated at picnic tables, having a dinner consisting of teriyaki chicken, rice, and vegetables. Apparently, the UA students were attending camp here, chaperoned by their teachers and a quartet of pro heroes who dressed in feminine, cat-like costumes. That group was the Wild, Wild Pussycats, which specialized in mountain and wilderness rescues using their Quirks.

When the Wild Hunt reported their findings to the Spade Mercs, they gathered the demon hunters at the arena for a briefing. "Right now, my Wild Hunt is spying on Blood Omen. She's in the wilderness north of town, near a campsite with people we've identified as the League of Villains. We suspect they're amassing in preparation to attack the camp. Students from UA's hero course are there and don't realize the danger they are in," reported Abel.

"Are my friends there? I was told they were going to camp before we ended training for the summer," asked Izuku.

"Possibly. They appear to be first-year students," replied Abel.

"Then it has to be them!" declared Izuku.

"What do the villains want with a bunch of students? What could they hope to gain by attacking them?" asked Melissa.

"That's what puzzles us, but we're not going to worry about that now," replied Abel. "Instead, this is a golden opportunity for us to get the jump on Blood Omen. The League's most likely strategy will be defeat in detail. They must split up for that, which will allow us to turn the strategy against Blood Omen. You are not here to intervene on the students' behalf, even though our mission will assist them indirectly. If anyone interferes, villain or hero, you may fight back, but do be careful. You sole mission is the neutralization of Blood Omen. The League will move soon, so be ready to go too."

On that first night, the League declined to attack, using the time to prepare. The next night, after a hard day of training their Quirks, the students cooked their own dinner for the evening. Their main course was sweet Japanese curry with chicken, prepared from a box purchased from a supermarket. Having expended so much energy during training, they were wolfing down their meal once they had it prepared.

After dinner, the students began a game where they were to travel down a forest road in pairs while other students attempted to scare them. One of the groups to go on this horror-themed event was Ochako Uraraka, who was partnered with Tsuyu Asui, both students of Class 1A. As they walked past the foliage, something leapt out and slashed Ochako across her biceps. The attack drew blood, some of which got on the knife of their attacker, Himiko Toga. She licked the blood off of the blade with a sinister smile.

"Delicious! Both of you girls look so delicious!" she remarked. "I love you so much, let me kiss you!"

"Stay away!" cried Ochako, adopting a fighting stance despite being hurt.

"Don't be shy! I may bite, but that's only to show how much I love you!" said Himiko.

Suddenly, something swooped down from the sky at Himiko! It was Altered Beast as the Garuda, and he had snatched her up in his talons and carried her away from the two girls. "Gotcha! You're one tough girl to find," remarked Altered Beast.

"Let me go you overgrown chicken!" cried Himiko as she tried to wiggle and squirm her way out of his talons.

"Chicken you say? Sure, we can play that!" replied Altered Beast.

He immediately dipped into a hard dive towards the ground. Himiko's jaw dropped. "Are you crazy? You'll kill us both!" cried Himiko.

"Nah, just you," replied Altered Beast, who released Himiko so she could plummet the rest of the way.

Halfway into the fall, she quickly changed into a bat and flapped her wings as hard as she could to arrest her forward momentum. Suddenly, a pair of bullets pierced holes into her wings. She quickly changed into human form and landed on her feet. Metal Gear came from behind and continued firing bullets at her. Himiko took two hits and got blood splattered all over her clothes. She quickly hopped away from them and changed into her grotesque Nosferatu form.

Metal Gear responded by creating a cloud of magnesium. Exposed to the air, it quickly burst into bright flame, blinding Blood Omen. "GAH!" blurted Blood Omen as the pain seared her eyes.

Plant Zombie pelted her with the peashooter while Queen had the Kingdom of Hearts amplify the onslaught with cannon fire. The sheer number of rounds sent Blood Omen to the ground, helpless. "Guys, watch out behind you!" warned Serenoa through telepathy.

The Foundation demon hunters looked behind and saw an uprooted tree flying at them! "Whoa!" said Altered Beast, having evaded the attack with the others.

The demon hunters stared down their attacker. He was a hulking man with spiky, sandy blond hair. He had thick muscle fibres covering his body. "Don't worry! I'm here!" the man cried to Blood Omen.

"That's Muscular. His Pump Up Quirk lets him cover his body in muscle fibres. He has superhuman strength so watch out!" warned Serenoa.

Muscular charged at the Kingdom of Hearts' portcullis, trying to bash it open but was stalled by its surprisingly high resilience. Queen had the card soldiers shoot rifles at him, but they only staggered him momentarily. "Get Blood Omen! I'll keep this guy busy!" cried Queen.

Metal Gear turned to finish off Blood Omen, but a black mist appeared and spirited the vampire away before she could strike. "Crap!" she cursed.

"She got away!" said Beast. "GRRRR!"

"Target has fled the area. Muscular is now the greater threat," reported Metal Gear.

Muscular charged into a line of card soldiers and bowled them over with his forward momentum. He then grabbed a tree and hurled it at Queen at top of the Kingdom's keep . She quickly ducked, letting the makeshift projectile sail by overhead. At that moment, a series of vines entangled Muscular's legs. He was rendered immobile momentarily, but soon tore his way free. He then charged at Plant Zombie, who dove to the right to escape.

Suddenly, Beast struck Muscular in the face with the Werewolf's Lunar Kick, sending the musclebound villain crashing to the ground. Beast transformed into the Werebear and sprayed petrification gas. Touched by the earthy gas, Muscular's lower body got encased in rock, leaving him heavy and immobile. Metal Gear set off powdered magnesium, blinding the villain as it burned brightly. Beast curled up into a ball and rolled himself at Muscular. The sheer power of the impact flipped him out of the rock. The ensuing landing rendered him into unconsciousness.

With Muscular no longer a factor, Beast decided to charge further into the forest in search of his friends at UA. "Beast, what are you doing? Our mission is a failure! We have to get away!" said Serenoa.

"I can't leave my friends with those villains!" replied Beast.

Beast reached an area where a pair of villains had pinned down three members of the Wild, Wild Pussycats. One of their members lay on the ground, bleeding from a concussion. The other two, a brunette and a goateed man, stared down the villains. One of the villains was the reptilian Spinner, but the other was a masculine transsexual woman with shoulder-length brown hair. Just as those two realized his presence, Beast was already upon them, raking them as he went by. The two villains doubled over from sudden blood loss, leaving their pro hero opponents shocked. As quickly as he came, Beast had been taken away by a flicker of blue light.
