I made you a promise in that church.
You and me come whatever.
Brooke paced in the entryway. She had called and texted Lucas more times then she can keep track of.
It was late storming and she was home alone.
He knew she hated that. Being alone.
She breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of him coming through the red front door of their home.
"Where have you been?" Brooke asked.
"Out celebrating my second successful book launch."
"I thought you would be fast asleep by now." Lucas replied.
"I'm wide awake. And no you didn't tell me about this."
"I thought we were supposed to be spending quality time together tonight." Brooke said.
"We can spend time together anytime. Me launching a successful novel doesn't happen everyday." Lucas replied.
"I didn't mean regular quality time." She said. Undoing her robe.
Revealing the barely there outfit she had on.
"We've been married for months and I thought we were ready to start trying to get pregnant." Brooke reminded him.
"We have all the time in the world for that. What is the rush Brooke?" Lucas asked.
"We've wanted a family together since before we got married and now it seems like it's not even a priority to you now." Brooke replied.
"I'm exhausted its been a long night and i'm going to shower and get to bed." Lucas replied. As he turned from her.
Brooke let out an exhausted sigh and went upstairs.
