Scolding Fight with Zentopia Best Man
Within the Holy underground cavern, the battle against Byro and Kanaloa is still raging on with the leader of the Legion Platoon pushes Ikaros off and the giant octopus slams his tentacle onto her toward the ground.
"Ikaros! Are you okay?" Natsu called out.
"Yes, I am fine, Master." Ikaros answered, showing that she is holding the tentacle up and still standing.
However, Kanaloa was not done as he just blasted his dangerous ink at the angel girl but that has quickly been countered by a strong water attack by none other than Aquarius who was summoned by Lucy.
"You're lucky I got here when I did or your winged friend would be a goner!" Aquarius bragged while shooting the water from her Magic Urn.
"I knew I could count on you!" Lucy smiled, glad to have summoned Aquarius in time with the water key in a puddle.
"Hey, what in the heck do you think you're doing?! You summoned me from a puddle?" Aquarius angered upon seeing this.
"Sorry, but that's all I could find!" Lucy apologized, also expecting her mermaid spirit companion to get angry at her for this though she wishes Aquarius would lighten up a bit.
"Thank you for the help, Miss Mermaid Spirit Princess." Ikaros thanked.
"Hey, it's just Aquarius! You got that?" Aquarius corrected the angel girl to get her name right.
Ikaros threw a mighty punch that send the tentacle off her and crashes onto a random old building before taking flight in the air.
"I am willing to let you off the hook with the puddle thing if you'll do me a favor… Would you hurry up and figure out how to summon two Celestial Spirits at once?!" Aquarius demanded with one arm on the nervous and scared Lucy's shoulders.
"I might be nicer to you if I had my man, Scorpio's around." Aquarius said getting up on Lucy's face some more.
"Whoa, I thought she came to help Lucy, not threaten to hurt her." Michelle shocked, and a bit scared of Aquarius now.
"Hey, I just got an idea." Natsu smirked.
"Hey, Romeo! Ya think you can get his mouth open?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah, just leave it to me!" Romeo nodded, believing that Natsu may have a crazy idea and is willing to help.
"Purple Net!" Romeo threw a purple fireball right at the giant octopus' mouth and it expanded into a net that forces the mouth to open wide.
"Alright!" Natsu excited as he jumped off.
"Fire Dragon…" Natsu readied himself to unleash his fire breath attack at the octopus.
"It looks like he's gonna blast fire down the octopus' mouth!" Happy realized what Natsu is gonna do.
"But isn't that kinda cruel?!" Lucy started to feel bad for the giant sea creature.
"Oh, I bet it's gonna taste delicious freshly grilled!" Michelle excited with her stomach growling to taste some grilled octopus.
"Well, she doesn't seem to think so." Aquarius pointed out causing Lucy to chuckle at this.
However, Kanaloa wasn't going to let that happen as he reacted fast to snatch Natsu in the air to make him stop the attack only for Ikaros to come in and kick the tentacle away just in time, and Romeo use his Purple Fire magic to retrain two of the other tentacles as well.
"ROAR!" Natsu unleashed the fire breath attack right into the open mouth.
The intense burning flames causes the octopus to feel literally hot from the inside that is becoming too much to bear, and then he was sent flying for a moment and crashes hard as Byro jumps off to avoid the crash.
"It would seem they were able to react fast enough to work together in order for that body to land the fire attack on Kanaloa. And with him down, they can now focus on me." Byro said.
"These Fairy Tail mages holds more strength and better teamwork than I thought." Byro impressed with this feat.
"Even so, I must take the clock pieces and leave." Byro still determined to carry out his mission.
"Hold it right there!" Lucy called out.
"I still haven't forgiven you guys for the other day when you sent your buddies to take the clock hand from me which was the only thing I had left of my dad." Lucy pointed angry at the man.
"What's so important about these clock pieces that you would go to such lengths to steal them?" Michelle asked as she wanted to know as well.
"We are NOT stealing them, we are taking them into our care." Byro proclaimed.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, you're making it sound like they're your property or something." Natsu raised an eyebrow.
"We're gathering these pieces because they belong to the Infinity Clock." Byro revealed the name of the dangerous clock that these clock pieces are made for.
"The Archbishop of Zentopia has demanded that we retrieve them. We're simply following his orders." Byro explained.
"The Infinity Clock?" Lucy confused, this is the first time she heard that the whole clock set even had a name.
"What could the archbishop possibly want with such a thing?" Michelle wondered.
Then Byro had a moment in his thoughts about what the archbishop said to him about the Infinity Clock, and the danger it could bring to the world.
"Time ticks forward… on toward inevitable chaos."
(Flashback)
"I don't suppose you have any idea what that means, Byro?" The archbishop asked after telling him these words while resting on his bed.
The archbishop is a short, pale skinned man. Being very old, his head is almost bald, with only its outer rims containing white hair. Other noticeable things on his face include his extremely brushy gray eyebrows and dense white mustache covering his mouth.
"That's the phrase you hear in your dreams, is it not? Forgive me, my lord, but I haven't the slightest." Byro said.
"Once every one hundred years, the Infinity Clock release the magic power it has accumulated and becomes active… It is said that if all six of the scattered clock pieces are gathered together when it is activated…" The Archbishop paused with a look of fear on his face.
"What will happen?" Byro asked. Fearing he may not like the answer.
"Then the clock will begin to tick, and it will usher in the end of the world." The archbishop revealed with seriousness in his eyes.
"That cannot be." Byro shocked, but deep down he knew his leader speaks the truth.
"According to the cardinals, a wizard guild is looking to gather the pieces of the Infinity Clock. We are the only ones who can stop them." The archbishop informed his fateful companion.
"In other words, we now have a purpose given to us by a higher power." The archbishop believed.
(Flashback End)
"Byro, prepare yourself for a holy war." The words of the archbishop said in Byro's head while he finished explaining this to the Fairy Tail wizards.
"If all the clock pieces are gathered together…" Lucy shocked of what she just heard.
"…then the world will come to an end." Michelle finished that sentence, looking a bit grim.
"So, that's the "inevitable chaos"." Lucy said.
"So, that's the kind of bad thing you guys were trying to prevent?" Natsu asked Coco who gave him a nod.
"Yeah, sounds like it." Romeo said, he can tell this guy is dead serious on his words.
"Things just got way more serious around here!" Happy feared.
"Therefore, I cannot allow you such meager wizards like you lots who doesn't have the power to protect the world from destruction." Byro stated.
"But there is a flaw in those words of yours." Ikaros said.
"What do you mean by flaw?" Byro asked, confused of what this angel girl means.
"I mean the fact that you claim gathering the clock would bring disaster and chaos to the world, then wouldn't that mean the clock pieces should be left only. And it also sounds more like Zentopia is willing to bring the chaos if they want to gather the clock pieces so badly." Ikaros pointed out.
"Yeah, she's right. What Byro said doesn't make any sense at all!" Happy realized.
"Could that mean they're the ones in the wrong?" Romeo wondered about that.
"(Could… Could that angel girl be right? Could Zentopia actually end up causing the end of the world?)" Coco thought shocked of this.
"I may not be smart, but even I can tell that something is fishy with Zentopia now." Natsu said.
"And besides, do we really want to leave the fate of the world in Zentopia's hands?" Happy agreed.
"Yeah, you guys don't know any more than we do! Who says that you guys won't make a dangerous mistake with this Infinity Clock?" Lucy asked, starting to doubt this guy and Zentopia.
"Oh no! We're all gonna die!" Michelle started to panic.
Byro was shocked to hear these people are doubting the strength and beliefs of Zentopia that they would dare to consider Zentopia to be the cause of the end of the world, his faith in Zentopia and the Archbishop has never steered him wrong before and they aren't going to now.
"I can assure you, our teachings are not mistaken. How dare you even question the archbishop! He's infallible!" Byro believed.
"(Figured that Byro wouldn't let go of his belief that easily.)" Coco thought knew he would do that.
"That's not true." Michelle said which got Byro's attention.
"Nobody is perfect; we all make mistakes. That's why we can't find world peace, I thought everyone knew that." Michelle stated.
"(Michelle, I never knew you could say something so serious before.)" Lucy thought surprised.
"I don't buy it, you're trying to play the hero but I can tell you're up to something." Natsu said walking a few steps toward Byro.
"You can't fool me, man. Someone's a jerk; either you or that "Archbishop" you keep talking about." Natsu believed that someone in Zentopia is pulling the evil strings.
"You can say that you're innocent, but that doesn't mean that everybody in Zentopia is all innocent. Maybe there's one of them plotting behind your backs, using your loyalty to his advantage." Nymph pointed out.
"(No way, no one in Zentopia would ever have evil intention… Right?)" Coco thought hesitated on what to think at this point.
"Such blasphemy! All of you dare to speak such nonsense of Zentopia!" Byro clutched his fist and on his staff.
"I will no longer listen to these despicable words for I will silence them myself!" Byro declared pointing his staff toward Fairy Tail.
"Bring it on!" Natsu smirked with his fists literally burst into flames.
(Fairy Tail Guild)
Everything seems to be peaceful at the small Fairy Tail guild, something unexpected happens when the sound of objects crash onto the floor that alerted the others.
"What's the matter, Kinana?" Wakaba asked worry, seeing the girl on the floor and trembling.
"Are you feeling alright?" Reedus asked concern.
"It's close… So very close…" Kinana said, sounding weird and talked like something bad is happening right now.
"I sense it… The end… is within our grasp…" Kinana talked very worried while her right arm undergoes a strange phenomenon of purple aura.
"I can hear it now… I hear-!" Kinana suddenly went unconscious which got everyone worried.
"There's no need to panic. It's just another of her fits." Wakaba informed. But he only said that to calm the guild down, this one is something different unlike before.
"Hey Wakaba, know where Makarov is?" Marco asked.
"In the East Forest, getting healed up." Wakaba informed.
"Man, I hope he gets back here soon. I could really use his help for this." Marco worried for the young woman; something tells him that there might be something serious going on here.
(With the Strauss Siblings and Chaos)
"Wow, there's a guy who can actually eat fire and become strong like a dragon!" Chaos amazed after hearing this from Lisanna and Mirajane.
"That's right, you could say Natsu is one of the strongest men in our guild." Lisanna nodded.
"But there are times when Natsu tends to go overboard when it comes to fighting and ends up destroying a lot of things which also get the Magic Council to… sort of hate us." Mira explained.
"Yeah, it's like the guy never learned how to hold back." Elfman commented.
"But he's your friend and you still care for him?" Chaos asked the tall muscle man.
"Of course, I wouldn't be a real man if I didn't care about everyone in the guild as they're my family as much as my two sisters here." Elfman grinned. He was also grateful to Natsu for inspiring him to become a strong man when Lisanna was thought to be dead all those years ago.
"But despite who clumsy and destructive Natsu can be, he has the biggest heart when it comes those who he cherishes and that just makes my heart sway." Lisanna giggled with her cheeks blushing.
"Sway?" Chaos confused of what Lisanna means by that.
"She means that she loves Natsu so much that she wants him to take her on bed." Mira teased causing Lisanna to gasp and her face turning red while Elfman gasp in fear.
"Mira! Don't go saying that to a little kid!" Lisanna exclaimed.
"Sorry, I just wanted to see a little reaction from you." Mira giggled.
"But if you're interested in having Natsu, then maybe I should go for it myself." Mira said with a grin.
"Huh, what's that supposed to mean?!" Lisanna gasped.
"You guys sure are funny." Chaos laughed.
"Glad you think so, kid." Elfman said with a forced smile.
(Natsu's Group vs Byro)
"Here we come!" Natsu charged at Byro.
"Fool, this battle will be very short for you shall see why." Byro stated.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu threw his flaming punch at the old man, but Byro simply wave his hand and the fire has suddenly vanished.
"What the…?" Natsu shocked, then got punched in the face by Byro sending him towards the ground only to be caught by Ikaros.
"Are you alright, Master?" Ikaros asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Natsu groaned, feeling the pain on his face.
"What the heck did that guy just do? It's like he just blew away Natsu's fire punch like blowing out a candle." Romeo shocked.
"He nullified his attack." Nymph informed.
"Nullified? What do you mean by that?" Happy asked.
"Exactly as I said. This man completely nullified Natsu's magic from a certain range like the fire never happened." Nymph explained.
"Impressive that you were able to figure out my magic power. It is true, my magic is Nullification Magic that no wizards have ever been able to hit me with their magic power and you lots won't be any different." Byro stated.
"We'll just see about that!" Natsu yelled as Ikaros threw him.
"If I can't fight you with magic then we'll just fight with brute force!" Natsu threw a strong punch, but Byro easily caught it.
"Fool! I have been trained in the most intense combat sessions that pushes pass the human physical limits, you cannot hope to best me." Byro knee kicked Natsu in the stomach and threw him down.
Then Ikaros came in throwing a punch of her own that was blocked by Byro's staff, but he was pushed back a few inches much to his surprise.
"It is my duty to eliminate those who would harm my master and those around him. Surrender now or pay the price." Ikaros warned.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. As we speak, members of your guild are collecting the scattered clock pieces and are most likely bringing them here." Byro said before pushing Ikaros away.
"I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to stop you from gathering them." Byro determined.
"Well, I'm prepare to beat your face in!" Natsu grinned as they get into a stare down.
(With Panther Lily and Samuel)
"So, what did you wanna talk to me about?" Lily asked as he and Samuel are having a private conversation.
"I consider myself a proud member of the Legion Platoon. However, I have not forgotten my roots. I cannot deny that I am an Exceed." Samuel admitted.
"I've come to realize that our sense of time is vastly different than that of the humans. Surely even a muscle-brained goon like you has noticed that." Samuel stated.
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me?!" Lily angered from that.
"Please, just hear me out. Something has been bothering me since I managed to learned mre on that book. It may sound odd… but as someone who shares my sense of time, you will likely understand. I noticed something inside of it that I feel the need to share with you." Samuel said.
"What book? You mean Key of the Starry Heavens?" Lily asked. Wondering what could be troubling Samuel's mind.
