Decided to take a short break to not overwork myself. So, two things. Firstly, happy Star Wars day! May the 4th be with you! I'm going to watch the new Empire shorts later today.

And second thing, made official as I'm writing this: Total Drama Island season 1 (2023) releases in the States on June 1st. Please remember to support to official release to tell Terry and everyone who worked on the show that Total Drama is still viable in this day and age.

Anyways, let's get to it!

"Last time on Total Drama Island." Chris began the recap. "The campers were tested with a series of 'would you rather' questions and most of them failed miserably. Emma proved to be a team player…a really terrible one, since her attempts to help the Skunk Butts proved to have a zero percent success rate. She might've been eliminated, but Zee somehow showed her up as a complete failure when he purposefully flubbed his question…about himself. In the end, Zee lost his integrity and gave up his shot at the million."

Chris appeared on the dock. "Who's losing their shot tonight? Personally, I don't really care, as long as someone leaves with their dreams crushed. So, sit back and relax…or chill as some of the kids say and get ready because this is…Total…Drama…Island!"

Caleb was standing in the middle of the forest area. He had a blindfold on and seemed to be awaiting something.

"Alright." Priya's voice called. "The last challenge wasn't that intense, so today's will probably be a lot more painful. This should hopefully heighten your instincts and make you more aware of your surroundings."

"Ok." Caleb said. "When are you going to-"

A stick suddenly struck him in the side of the face. "Ow!" He yelped. "Are we starting now?"

"The idea is to look with your ears." Priya swung the stick and struck Caleb in the gut. He grunted in pain. Another swing and he was hit in the back of the head.

Confessional (Caleb): He had the blindfold slightly lifted and was covered in bruises. "I didn't want to do any of Priya's training, but I needed her away from Millie. I can't have her convincing Priya to not vote with me." He groaned. "Though, I gotta admit, I'm almost tempted to let Millie take my spot, so I can-" A wooden stick suddenly smashed through the outhouse, sticking Caleb in the forehead. "Ow!" He cupped his head. "Priya! I thought we were taking a break!"

"No breaks during training!" Came the aggressive reply.

Static

This time, Caleb readied himself. Priya swung, but the hunk was able to block it successfully. "Hey, you're getting better at this." Priya said.

Caleb grinned. "Yeah. Give me another."

Priya held up the stick, while Caleb focused.

"Priya!"

The sudden shout distracted Caleb. "Huh?" He was then promptly whacked on the top of the head. He winced and fell backwards.

Priya looked over to see Millie heading towards them. "Hey, bestie, what's up?"

"I just wanted to talk to you." She looked over at the hunched over hunk. "...alone preferably."

"Sorry, Mills." Priya said. "Caleb and I are training. You, of all people know much I prioritize that sort of thing."

Millie frowned. "I know, but I really-"

"Hey, Priya." Caleb suddenly stood up. "I think I'm ready for more. How about we get some cardio in?"

"Oh, good idea." She turned to her friend. "I'll see you later, Millie." She then took off running, with Caleb following her.

Millie watched and frowned.

On another part of the island, more training was happening. A hastily built target was in the middle of an open area, with several wooden sticks poking through it.

Thunk

Another wooden stick stuck to it, landing just to the left of the bullseye.

"Dang it." Nichelle grunted. "So close."

Behind her, Axel was using a knife to construct a makeshift spear from another stick.

Confessional (Axel): "Today is all about throwing and aiming. So far, Nichelle is getting better. Her first throw she completely missed the target and nearly speared a rabbit through the eye." She sighed dreamily and blushed.

Static

Thunk

"Bullseye!" Nichelle yelled and raised her arms in victory.

Axel looked and could see the wooden spear sticking out. She grinned. "Good job."

"Oh, Hollywood is going to wish they didn't kick me out. If they want me back, I'm going to get an even bigger contract. I'm talking lead roles, bigger sponsorships and-"

"Calm down." Axel said, walking towards her. "The spears are pretty easy. Now try this." She held out her hand. In it was an ax made entirely of wood.

Nichelle was surprised as she took it. "Wow. Are you sure this is-" She poked the blade area and immediately recoiled. "Ow! That's sharp."

"It's an ax. What did you expect?"

A sly grin formed across Nichelle's face. "You're right. I guess I should expect someone named AXel to make a good ax."

The zombie commando suddenly burst into a loud fit of laughter, catching Nichelle off guard. Axel continued laughing, until remembering that Nichelle was right next to her. She quickly stopped and an awkward silence followed.

"Umm…" Axel shook her head and forcefully pushed Nichelle to face the target. "Just try again with the…with the thing. Remember, you have to throw it over your head."

Nichelle nodded and took aim. She locked onto the target, raised her arms and then chucked it. The ax went spinning towards the target. It hit the center, but at an awkward angle. Instead, the ax bounced off the board and was sent wildly spinning back the way it came.

Nichelle gasped and quickly ducked, the ax just missing her.

Axel saw it too and also ducked, just in time to avoid being hit in the face.

The ax landed on the ground behind them with a dull thud.

Nichelle stood up. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry! That was-" She then froze up.

Axel opened her eyes and got to her feet. "I'm fine. Those sort of things happen, so-" She suddenly felt something hit her shoulders. She brushed at it and quickly realized what it was. On the ground by her feet was what looked like a hair tie that had been cut in half. Her hair had fallen down to her hips. She grunted. "Marco said this thing was supposed to be made of titanium. Oh when I get my hands on him, I'm gonna…"

But whatever tirade Axel was going on, it fell on deaf ears. Nichelle was still staring directly at her teammate with her long flowing hair .

Confessional (Nichelle): Her cheeks were red and she looked very nervous. "Ok…I was not expecting this."

Static

Laughter echoed through the woods.

Julia and MK were running through it, in hysterics. MK was holding something in her hand.

Confessional (MK): She was holding a paper with scribbles on it. "Snagged ourselves a map for today's challenge. And a few others that might come in handy. Chris really needs to get better security." She thought for a moment. "Yet again, for my sake, he probably shouldn't."

Static

"Gotta say," Julia started, as they came to a stop. "It's pretty impressive that you didn't get caught."

MK scoffed. "That was nothing. I snuck into a bank once and it took them over an hour until anyone actually found me."

Julia raised an eyebrow. "Why were you sneaking into a bank?"

"Not important." MK held up the map. "What is important is that I snagged this. It's for a maze, apparently. We have to find keys in the ice to get a coin."

Julia frowned. "We? MK, I'll admit you're not as lame as I thought you were, but there is no we. There's only one map and we can't risk getting caught."

"Oh, I know." MK said. "I'm giving you the map."

The influencer froze. "W-What? You're…giving me the thing you stole?"

"Yeah, I know, sounds crazy. But, the thing is, there's also an obstacle course. And since my team is run by a training junkie, that's probably what I'm gonna end up taking." She handed the map to Julia.

She was still stunned. "And…you're fine with that? What if I win and you get eliminated?"

"Do you care?" MK said. Julia didn't respond. "Besides, I'm pretty sure my team has other stuff going on and I've been doing pretty good at laying low. And, above all else, knowing that you're messing with someone's relationship is totally worth it." She then thought of something and reached into her jacket. "I also snagged this." She pulled out a hair dryer. "This'll make the maze way easier if you can just melt the ice to get the keys."

Julia just stared as she unconsciously took the hair dryer. "I-I can't believe you're letting me do this."

MK shrugged. "Then don't think too much. I'm more likely to get caught. And if your morally reasonable teammates catch you, you can't turn this one on me."

Julia rolled eyes, but, surprisingly, managed a smile.

Confessional (Julia): "MK is…I don't know, she just gets me." She quickly corrected herself. "N-Not that I get her. I mean, look at her. She looks like she lives in a cardboard box."

Confessional (MK): "Yeah, Julia. She's not as terrible as I was expecting." She also went to correct herself. "But…that's still not saying much. She went from grotesquely unbearable to slightly below tolerable."

Static

"Campers!" Chris' voice echoed over the loudspeaker. "Meet me at the Dock of Shame. It's challenge time!"

The competitors soon arrived. They were all in the water, standing in motor rafts, all wearing life jackets. Chris and Chef were standing on the dock with a TV next to them. Weirdly, Chris was wearing a large hat. "Welcome, campers. For today's challenge, I brought in the last iceberg from the North Pole." He pointed towards a giant ice block, with two holes in them.

Damien sighed. "Yup. You're a bad person."

Chris continued, pressing a button on a remote. The TV lit up and displayed the inside of the iceberg. "Each team will travel inside the block of ice and retrieve three keys. Those keys will allow you to open the safe that's inside, containing the handsome and ever so valuable Chris Coin." A small block of ice with three key slots was shown, as well as a big golden coin with the host's face on it.

Chef went on. The screen displayed two bobsleds. "You'll then take a bobsled down a path to your dingy. Once you arrive back at the dock, you'll hand your coin to Chris. Once that happens, your team will win."

"And, as usual." Chris took over. "Losing team says goodbye to a fellow teammate. Any questions?"

Immediately, every competitor's hand shot up.

Chris frowned. "Ones that aren't about my hat."

The hands quickly receded.

The host sighed. "Let's just say I'm having a bad hair day."

MK chuckled quietly. "Gee, I wonder why…"

Chef continued explaining. "Before you head out, you should know that there are only two ways to get your keys. You either take a maze where the coins are embedded in the ice."

"Do we get a pickaxe or some tool to melt them out?" Millie asked.

Chef shook his head. "That's your problem to figure out. The second tunnel is an obstacle course. Complete every challenge to collect your key. It'll be up to you to decide which one you and your team take."

"On your mark," Chris said, as every camper prepared themselves. "Get set…don't freeze to death…Go!"

Bowie and Caleb took their respective wheels and sped off towards the iceberg.

Once they were out of sight, Chris turned to Chef. "You worked at a hair salon in the 80s, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

Chris took off his hat, displayed a messy array of black hair, as if he shoved his head in a blender. "What can you do about this?"

Chef gasped in fright.

The Rat Faces were the first to arrive.

"Let's take the obstacle course." Priya said. "We'll have a better chance of getting through it before the other team."

"Why?" Damien said. "If it's an obstacle course, it'll probably be more dangerous than a maze."

"Oh, then in that case, we're definitely taking the obstacle course." She ran in. Damien promptly slapped his hand against his face.

The Skunk Butts arrived, just as the other team was heading into the obstacle course. Axel frowned.

Confessional (Axel): "Dang it! I really wanted to get more training in with Nichelle and the obstacle course would've been the perfect for it." She then thought. "Yet again, a maze is tighter and probably means we would get to spend more time closer to each other." She then found herself blushing. "Ok, never mind. I like the maze."

Confessional (Bowie): He took a deep breath. "Alright. Today is a no cheating day. Raj is still upset with me, so I can't take any chances. We'll take the maze and I'll be far away from Julia."

Confessional (Nichelle): She was blushing and giggling. "She looked really pretty with hair down." She then corrected herself. "I-I mean…Chris…looked…pretty…cool with his hair." She laughed nervously.

Static.

The Rat Faces were faced with their first obstacle. In front of them was a narrow path with a wall plastered in perfectly circular holes. The narrow path was right next to a deep gorge. On the other side of the path was a stand that was holding a key.

"So what are we supposed to do?" Millie asked.

Damien then noticed a podium with a card on it. "Maybe this'll give us our answer." He picked up the card. "Santa's boot." He read. He then flipped the card over. "That's all it says."

"So I guess we have to just make it across." MK said.

"Why don't we have someone go across first to see what it'll be?" Caleb said slyly, looking at one of his teammates. "Millie, you up for it?"

"What?" The bookworm was confused. "Why would I-"

"Yeah, go on, Millie." Priya said.

Confessional (Priya): "I think it's really cool that Caleb's letting Millie prove herself. Last challenge, she didn't do that great, so now she has another shot at redemption. Caleb is so considerate."

Static

Millie was reluctant, but decided to do it. She carefully made her way to the narrow path and began walking, using the holes in the wall to keep herself upright.

"You got this, Millie!" Wayne shouted.

Surprisingly, the bookworm was feeling confident. "I mean, it seems simple enough. These holes provide great support and-" At that moment, something flew out the hole that was directly in front of her face. It was a black leather boot attached to a stick and it kicked directly in the nose. She screamed as she plummeted into the gorge and let out a pained grunt when she hit the snow.

"Millie!" Priya yelled. "Are you alright?!"

All she got was a muffled groan from under the snow.

Chris was still at the dock. He was sitting on a chair, holding a tablet. Instead of a hat, Chris now had a large hair dryer over his hair.

Chef arrived next to him.

Chris showed him the tablet. "I'm watching the camper through this." He then looked at it again. "Oh! And it looks like someone just hit with a boot of doom!" He chuckled.

The dryer on his head suddenly dinged.

Chef pulled it off and a large cloud of steam engulfed both of them. He handed Chris a mirror. The host now had thick, long blonde hair akin to a rockstar from the 80s. "This was a very popular hair style back in the day."

"Yes." Chris said, looking annoyed. "And that day is not today. Or even this decade."

Chef sighed. "Fine. We'll try another."

The Skunk Butts arrived at the entrance to the maze.

"So, how are we getting through this?" Emma asked.

Bowie pondered, then quickly got an idea. "There's six of us and three keys. We'll split up into groups of two and each look for a key. I'll pick…" He quickly pulled his boyfriend in. "...Raj. The rest of you decide amongst yourselves." Hastily, he went inside with the surprised hockey bro.

"I'll go with her." Nichelle and Axel pointed at each other, and said the exact same thing, at the same time. They paused, blushed and quickly looked away.

"I mean, if that's okay with you." Nichelle said, awkwardly, still not meeting Axel's gaze.

The zombie commando nodded, also not making direct eye contact. "Yeah, sure, that works." They both went inside.

Julia rolled her eyes, knowing who that left her with. She then perked up and looked at her. "Emma. How much do you care about winning this thing, if it means you get to rub it in Bowie's face?"

The YouTuber immediately smiled. "Oh, a ton. Why? You have a plan."

"You could say that." Julia smirked, looking at her wrist.

They walked into the maze.

Confessional (Emma): "Look, I'm not saying I like Julia or anything. But if it means I get to make Bowie look like an idiot, I'm completely on her side." She sighed. "Chase loved mazes. We once went to a corn field and wore a zombie mask, running around, scaring everyone." She paused, looking a little awkward. "Ok, most of the time it was me, but it was still…fun."

Static

Caleb had tried the obstacle course and ended up in the same position as Millie. MK then tried it. She was able to duck the first few, but ended up stepping into the path of another and was knocked into the gorge.

"If we keep getting hit, we'll never be able to win." Priya said.

"You wanna give it a go?" Damien asked.

Priya looked it over. "I'm gonna have to. I think if I can predict when the boots will come out, I can-"

At that moment, Wayne let out a bellowing yell and ran towards the boots. He ducked the first one and rolled out of the way of the next. And, surprisingly, he was easily able to dodge the next few and make it to the other side. Priya and Damien were completely stunned.

Confessional (Wayne): "Rajie and I used to watch this show that had a similar challenge to this. We actually did our own version with hockey pucks. I got so good at it. Totally worth the 84 stitches in my head and four trips to the hospital."

Static

Wayne went over and grabbed the key. The boots suddenly stopped and retracted back into the hole. Priya narrowed her eyes, but quickly shook away her glare. "Let's get our teammates out and go to the next challenge!" She called.

"Good idea, coach!" Wayne gave an enthusiastic thumbs up.

Priya's eye twitched slightly.

Axel and Nichelle were walking through the ice maze. Neither had said a thing and were still actively avoiding eye contact.

"You see a key?" Nichelle asked.

"No." Axel said hastily.

"Ok." Nichelle responded, her voice slightly cracking.

At another end of the maze, Julia was using her hair dryer to get a key out of the ice. The ice was melting and she was close to getting it.

Emma didn't seem to have a problem with it, mostly because she was occupied. "...and he seriously has the nerve to call me pathetic. Me pathetic? More like…him pathetic. Anyone dating a hottie like Chase is not pathetic. I guess it's pathetic to spend an entire night locked in a zoo? Or apologize to that waiter for him tripping her? That's not pathetic. He's just trying to make up for the fact that I make a way better partner than he does. I mean…"

Julia was trying to focus on the sounds of her hair dryer, but was clearly having trouble.

Confessional (Julia): "I was picturing Bowie being miserable and it was barely enough for me to not tell Emma to put a sock in it."

Static

Bowie and Raj, meanwhile, had found a key. They looked at it, embedded in the ice.

"What should we do?" Bowie asked.

"I don't know." Rak said, uncertain.

Bowie looked at him, noticing his look of discomfort. He sighed. "Raj, I know you don't trust me right now, but I don't have anything on me. I wanted to be with you to prove that I wasn't cheating." He stood and walked towards his boyfriend. "I'm done being around Julia if it means I end up hurting you."

Raj still wasn't certain, but managed a smile. "Alright, Bowie." He then turned his attention to the key. "So, how are we going to get that out?"

Last season's runner up pondered. "I'm not sure. With no pickaxe or anything to melt the ice, we're going to have to use our heads to think of something."

Raj suddenly perked up. "Our heads! Good idea, Bowie." He stepped back.

Bowie was confused. "What are you-" Raj suddenly ran forward and rammed his head into the ice. It cracked a little, but not much else. His boyfriend shrieked. "Oh my! Raj, are you okay?"

The hockey bro stumbled backwards, clearly loppy from the hit he took. "Oh…don't worry." He slurred. "I'm…marble…think I can…do it…again." He then promptly fell to the ground.

Bowie pinched the bridge of his nose.

On the other end of the ice block, the Rat Faces arrived at their next challenge.

Damien went to the next podium and looked at the card on it. "Seal your fate." It read. He looked out in front of him. It was an open area with two towers of ice.

"What do you think it means?" Wayne asked.

Caleb looked over at Millie. "Only one way to find out. Millie? Do you want to test it again?"

The bookworm narrowed her eyes, but then had an idea. She looked at the towers. "Judging by Chris' track record, the main part of the challenge will be behind those towers. I suggest we split up to avoid taking too many hits. I'll go with-"

Caleb saw what she was doing. "I'll go with Priya!" He said hastily. "She can go behind me and I'll block off any shots."

"Oh, good idea." Priya said. "Mille, you go with Damien and MK and…Wayne can stick together too."

"Awesome." Wayne said.

"Great…" MK added, unenthusiastically.

Millie was annoyed, but didn't say anything.

"Alright, let's go!" Priya said. Most of the Rat Faces ran forward. MK stayed back.

Confessional (MK): "Yeah, any good strategy for a challenge is to let everyone else set off the traps and then do your thing. Trust me, hanging back is the best idea."

Millie was right. From the top of the towers, two turrets appeared. Priya saw them. "Look out!" She and Caleb dived behind an ice block.

Damien did the same on another.

The turrets turned, aimed and fired a live baby seal. It snarled its teeth. It was heading towards Millie. She ran towards the ice block that Damien was behind, but ended up slipping on the ice. She tripped right as the seal was about to hit her and flew right over her head. It bounced and was now heading toward its new target.

MK yelped and put her hands up. The baby seal bit down and latched into her arm. The hacker screamed in pain and tried to shake it off, to no avail.

Confessional (MK): She still had the seal attached to her hand. She sighed. "Ok, maybe I was wrong…"

Static

Millie crawled her way to the ice block. "Damien." She said, "How much sign language do you know?"

The neurotic contestant was puzzled. "Um…a bit, I guess. Why?"

Millie immediately started signing. I don't want to risk Caleb listening to what I'm going to say. Damien then signed back. Ok. What is it?

I don't trust Caleb. I don't know what he's doing, but it's weird that he keeps insisting I test out the obstacles.

Maybe he just wants us to win.

Either that, or he doesn't want me talking to Priya. They've been really close recently.

Damien then signed something else. Millie went wide eyed. Excuse me?!

The neurotic contestant was confused, then thought for a moment. He gasped. Oh, sorry. I meant to say to you, if you think that, you should really talk to her.

I know. Millie looked uncertain. It's just a really hard thing to do. If I can get her alone, it should be easier.

Back another ice block, Priya was looking over at Millie and Damien. "We need to help them." She said.

"No!" Caleb shouted, then quickly corrected his tone. "I mean…the best thing we can do is grab the key to stop the seals. It's like I said, I can protect you from them. Go behind me and I'll cover you."

Priya nodded. They stepped out of the block's cover and ran forward. The cannons aimed at Caleb and launched the seals at him. They bit him all over. Despite the pain, he was still managing to move forward. Priya was protected.

Millie and Damien watched, absolutely shocked. MK was still dealing with the seal, gnawing on her hand.

More and more seals bit, and latched on to Caleb. The pain was becoming less and less tolerable, but they were close.

"That's it, Caleb." Priya cheered. "Just a few more steps and we'll win it."

A cannon fired again. The seal went low. Caleb didn't have time to dodge it and, when it bit, he groaned and crumpled to the ground.

Back at the dock, a ding sound was heard from Chris' tablet. He chuckled. "Hear that? That's the sound it makes when a camper is in an extra excruciating amount of pain."

The dryer dinged again and Chef unveiled the next hairstyle.

Chris' face immediately fell as he saw his hair now resembled a flat top.

He groaned. "Really?"

"Caleb!" Priya yelled. Another seal was fired at her. She ducked it and took cover behind her teammate. "Alright, Caleb's down. It's not that far, so I can just-"

But, at that moment, something jumped over. She looked up to see Wayne skip over her and Caleb and make a break for the key. He wasn't that far and easily dodged the seals.

He jumped and grabbed the key. The turrets stopped and lowered back behind the towers. "Woo!" The hockey bro shouted.

"Wayne!" Priya looked annoyed. "Where on earth were you?!"

"Oh, I saw what you and Caleb were doing and I thought I'd do the same. Only, with you."

"So, you were behind me, in case both me and Caleb fell before we could get the key?"

"Pretty much, coach."

"That's…" Priya calmed herself down. "...great."

Confessional (Priya): She looked like was about to explode. "I just want to say, for the record, it was not great." She grunted and punched a hole through the outhouse wall.

Static

Nichelle smashed an icicle against the ice, in an attempt to free the key that was trapped inside. It cracked a little, but didn't make much of a dent.

She sighed.

"Let me give it a try." Axel said, already holding another icicle. She readied herself, flexed her muscles, pulled back and smashed it into the ice again. The icicle smashed and the little bits of ice bounced around. Some onto Axel's arms.

In Nichelle's mind, the world moved a lot slower and the former Hollywood star got to see the definition on Axel's arms in their muscular glory. She probably could've melted the ice with how red her cheeks were getting.

Confessional (Nichelle): She took a deep breath and sighed. "Alright…that was…um…" She cleared her throat. "That was…that was certainly something."

Static

Julia and Emma rounded a corner. The influencer was holding a key. They stopped when they saw what was in front of them.

Bowie looked very embarrassed at what he was seeing. He hadn't noticed Julia or Emma yet. Raj had given up on "using his head" and instead opted to use his breath to melt the ice. However, he went too close and his tongue came in contact and immediately froze to it. He was desperately trying to free his tongue and failing miserably.

Julia sniggered, surprising Bowie. "Gah!" He turned around. "Oh, what are you guys doing here?"

"We-" Julia was about to say.

Emma swiped the key from Julia's hand and presented it to Bowie. "We found the first key. Feels good to actually help your team out, doesn't it, Bowie?"

Last season's runner-up raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? I won the first challenge for us."

"And what have you done for us recently?" Julia said.

"Yeah!" Emma added.

"I'll tell you what I haven't done. Use my terrible people reading skills that partly caused us to lose the challenge." He pointed at Emma. He then moved to Julia. "And I haven't had to resort to cheating to win."

"You 'ell 'er 'Owi!" His boyfriend said.

Confessional (Bowie): "I know back talking Julia hasn't worked out for me, but I don't care. Raj knows I'm not cheating and she can't pin the blame on me."

Static

Julia smirked. "Okay, fair enough. How about I help your boyfriend out?"

"Sure, that'll help." Bowie then realized something. "Wait, how are you going to-"

Julia pulled out her blow dryer and pointed it at Raj. Bowie gasped. The ice melted away and Raj was free. She also melted enough for the key to fall out.

The hockey bro bent over to pick it up. "Thanks, Julia. I really…" It then hit him. "Wait, where did you get that?"

"Oh, this." Julia held up her blow dryer. "I snagged this from Chris to give us an advantage."

"So…you've been cheating again?"

"Yeah, a little. We were getting tired of your complaining, so Bowie dragged you away, so we could do this."

Bowie sputtered. "What? Wait, hold on." He looked at Julia. "I had nothing to do with this. I didn't know you had that."

"Oh, don't play dumb, Bowie." Julia smirked. "Why else were you so eager to get your boyfriend away? Just admit it, you like winning more than him."

Bowie glared at his teammate. He quickly turned around to speak to his boyfriend. "Raj, I-" But he didn't finish. The hockey bro looked absolutely devastated and betrayed.

"Bowie…" Raj said quietly. "I thought…this whole time…"

The flamboyant contestant felt his heart shatter.

The Rat Faces stepped into the final challenge location. "Snow Cone catwalk." Priya read the card.

In front of them, similar to the first challenge, was a deep gorge. Only now there were three tall towers of ice. Once they reached the end, it would be a simple walk to their safe. Just above the second tower was the third and final key. It was hanging on an icicle.

"So, we jump across, grab the key and we win." Damien explained.

"Seems simple enough." Caleb said. "Why don't we let-"

"Actually," Millie interrupted. "Caleb should go first. I'm not a great jumper, so if he goes, he can catch me when it's my turn to jump."

The hunk was surprised and tried to think of something to say. "Um…"

"Good idea, Mills." Priya said. "You guys go first."

Caleb held his tongue and complied. Millie allowed herself to smirk.

Confessional (Millie): "Perfect. Now if Caleb tries anything, it'll look bad and Priya might not trust him." She then considered what she was doing. "Yet again, I am setting up Caleb to drop me." She gulped. "I really hope I'm overthinking this 'Caleb is out to get me' thing because I really don't want to fall again."

Static

Caleb made it across and waited for Millie to jump. She did so and, as predicted, didn't make it that far. Much to her relief, Caleb did catch her and pulled her up.

Confessional (Caleb): He grumbled. "Letting Millie fall would mean she and Priya would be separated, but it would also look bad on me." He thought to himself. "I wonder if Millie is onto me."

Static

Caleb jumped to the next platform and waited for Millie.

Back at the entrance, MK looked nervously down. "Yeah, I'm not sure about this. I already fell down a gorge today. Not really looking to do it again."

"Well, we all have to make it across." Wayne noted.

"If you have some way to get across without falling, be my guest."

Wayne looked at the challenge in front of him. Then he looked at MK. Then he looked at the key. Then an idea hit him. "Alright." Wayne suddenly picked MK up, holding her like a lawn dart.

"What the-" She yelped. "Wayne, what are you-"

"Hoot! Hoot!" Wayne stepped forward and chucked MK across. She screamed as she was sent flying.

Confessional (Wayne): "Man, MK needs to eat some more meat. She weighed like…nothing. It was like chucking a kitten."

Static

Wayne's throw was fairly accurate, as she was heading right to the key. Caleb had just pulled Millie onto the second platform, when they heard MK.

Wayne's throw was a little off as, instead of being in the direct path to grab the key, MK slammed into the icicle that it was hanging from. There was a low rumble and the giant piece of ice snapped off.

It wasn't a long fall, as the second tower was right under it. Millie and Caleb stepped back to avoid being crushed, but it wasn't going to help. The sudden crash caused the tower itself to shake and fall. MK, Caleb and Millie screamed as they were sent plummeting down the gorge.

"Millie! Caleb!" Priya yelled. She looked over at Wayne and frowned. "Why did you do that? We-"

"Hang on, coach." Wayne said. "I think I see the key. I'll get it." He jumped to the first tower and then dove down to the gorge.

MK picked herself up and held her head. Her moment of peace was interrupted as Wayne crashed down onto her.

Confessional (MK): She had an ice pack on her head. "Yeah, don't worry, Priya. I'm fine." She said bitterly.

Back at the dock, Chris was still trying for another hair do. He looked at his tablet. "Huh. Most of the Rat Faces are close to the exit. They might just win this."

Once more, the hair dryer dinged and Chris now had an afro.

"I call this one-" Chef was about to say.

"Absolutely not." Chris responded.

"Yes!" Axel and Nichelle had just broken through the ice. The zombie commando picked it up. "Now we just got to get it to the others. Let's hope they found the other two."

Nichelle nodded and the two headed out.

Meanwhile, the four other Rat Faces were making their way through the maze. Using her drawn on wrist map, and blow dryer, Julia was able to easily find their way to an area with a ladder by melting through the walls. Emma, Raj and Bowie followed shortly, the former looking very distraught. Bowie was also upset.

"Raj, I'm sorry." He said. "I swear, I didn't-" He sighed.

They climbed to the top and reached an open area. Next to them were the two ice safes, holding the coins. On the other side were the individual team bobsleds with a pathway in front of them. And, as an added bonus, there was also, frozen in a block of ice…

"Is that a Yeti?" Bowie asked.

"Are you surprised?" Julia asked.

Bowie glared, then exhaled. "Alright, I guess we just need to wait for Axel and Nichelle."

The influencer looked at the safe. "We can, but I already know how to get our coin." She held out the hair dryer and began melting the ice safe.

"Wait, what?" Raj yelled. "We only need one more key, we don't need to keep cheating."

"Yeah, Julia." Bowie added. "This is too much."

"Oh, don't grow a conscience now." Julia scoffed. "You know what will happen if we end up losing. This is our best strategy."

"Yeah, but…" Bowie looked between his boyfriend and Julia.

Confessional (Bowie): "I don't know what to do. If I let Julia get away with it, I'll break Raj's heart. But if I do stop her, she'll get me eliminated and I won't see Raj for…I don't know, but I don't want to leave him."

With three quarters of the Rat Faces still stuck in the gorge, it was going to be hard to get all of them out.

"What are we going to do?" Damien said, from the entrance.

Priya glared. "I don't know. If Wayne hadn't thrown MK into the ice, none of this would've happened. We'll never win."

"Yeah," MK shouted from below. "And more importantly, I wouldn't have a raging headache right now."

"We're not going to get anywhere if we keep arguing." Damien said. "Let's just think for a second."

"Hey, coach?!" Wayne yelled. "I think I have an idea!"

"Haven't you done enough?!" Priya shouted back.

"I don't know." Wayne responded cluelessly. "But if you step onto the first tower, we can push it forward and you jump to the next one."

Damien perked up. "And then if they push down the third one, it should create enough of a pile for them to climb out."

Priya grimaced, but sighed. "That is a good plan. You better know what you're doing!" She shouted down at Wayne, as they jumped onto the tower.

"Oh, I hope so too." Wayne went over and began pushing on the tower. His other teammates joined in.

Priya and Damien felt the tower starting to move. Once it started tilting, they readied themselves and jumped. The ice tower came crashing to the ground, but the two Rat Faces were able to make it to the third tower. After that, they jumped over to the end.

Damien had to catch his breath. "Dang. That was scary."

Priya didn't say anything.

Wayne and his teammates then pushed down the third tower. Sure enough, it created a pathway to walk up to the top. They cheered.

"Alright!" Priya said. "If Wayne has the third key, we just need to make it up to the safe."

The hockey bro blinked. "Am I supposed to have the key?"

Priya stared. "What? Yes! That's why you jumped down."

"...onto me." MK added.

"Oh, right." Wayne shrugged. "It was actually a piece of ice." He chuckled.

"Wayne?"

"Yeah?"

"Find it!" Priya snapped.

"On it, coach!" He ran back to the snow pile and began digging.

"Got it!" Julia had just melted enough ice and got the coin out.

Nearby, Bowie was trying to talk with his boyfriend. "Raj, I swear I had no idea this was happening. Julia did this on her own and is just trying to make me look bad."

"Why should I believe you?" Raj snapped back. "You cheated in the 'either or' challenge already."

"I know and…" Bowie sighed. "I only did that to give our team a chance. I flubbed the last question and-"

"Hey!" Raj looked over from behind Bowie.

The flamboyant contestant turned around. Julia was now melting the ice from the Rat Faces safe.

"What are you doing!?" Raj ran up to her.

"Just guaranteeing our win for today." Julia responded. "The Rat Faces can't beat us if they don't have a coin to give Chris."

Bowie grimaced, then turned to Emma. "Are you seriously okay with this?"

His former friend tried to hide her guilt. "Look, I don't like cheating, but I already messed up for our team. And if it means I get to rub it in your face that we won today, I can live with it."

Bowie was about to retort, until Raj stepped in front of him. He looked like he was on the verge of tears. "Bowie." He choked. "If…if you keep letting this go on…I'm…I'm…I…"

Last season's runner-up suddenly gasped.

Confessional (Bowie): "What am I doing?! Am I seriously letting this game ruin my relationship with Raj?!" He took a deep breath. "This is going to be risky, but it needs to be done."

Static

Julia continued melting down the ice box. Suddenly a piece of snow hit her in the back of the head. She dropped her blow dryer, but it didn't turn off. "Hey!" She turned around. Bowie and Raj were now behind a large clump of snow, both holding snowballs, ready to chuck at her.

Julia realized what this was and glared. "Alright, if you want it that way. Emma, let's get them!"

Both female Skunk Butts got behind another pile of snow. After that, it was an all out snowball war. Snow was flying. All four Skunk Butts were throwing, and being pelted, by snowballs.

However, unbeknownst to any of them, the hair dryer was still on and it began melting the ice floor beneath it. It caused several cracks to form.

Raj was about to throw a massive snowball, when he heard a sound. "Hey, what's that noise?"

"I don't know." Bowie responded.

The snowball fight stopped as Emma, Raj, Julia and Bowie looked down to see the cracks in ice becoming larger.

At that moment, Axel and Nichelle climbed up the ladder. They went over to their teammates. "Hey guys, we-"

There was a low rumble and, suddenly, the ice beneath them gave way and all six campers fell through. The ice holding the yeti in the ice also broke off.

It was quiet for a moment.

From another entrance, Priya ran in, with her team right behind her. "Alright, guys. Wayne may have set us back, but we can still-" She then stopped, noticing the two massive holes in the floor and half melted safes. "What happened here?"

"And why are the safes melted?" Damien added.

"Something happened here." Caleb said. He then looked over. "But the bobsleds are still here. Where are the Skunk Butts?"

"No time to figure it out." Priya said. "If their sled is still here, then we might still have the lead. Grab the coin and-"

"Got it, coach." Wayne said, already holding it. "Let's get a move on."

Priya grunted, but complied. The rest of her team followed her and Wayne into the bobsled.

Soon enough, they were moving. A bobsled on ice, as it turns out, moves really fast. Not only that, it also is a very scary journey to travel down a dark cavern. That's why Damien was screaming the whole way down. A hole opened up in the ice and the Rat Faces shot through it, leading to the outside area where they started. Damein was still screaming, even after Priya pulled the brakes and they came to a stop.

"You got some good pipes, man." Wayne said.

"Thanks." Damien said.

Meanwhile, the Skunk Butts were still in the hole. All members groaned in the pile of snow.

Bowie popped his head out. "Raj!?" He yelped. "Are you okay?"

His boyfriend's head appeared next to him. "Yeah. I'm good. Everyone else?"

One by one, more campers popped out of the snow.

"Well, we can kiss our win goodbye." Nichelle said.

"Wait." Emma thought of something. "Did anyone see that yeti in the ice when we got here? Is it still…"

"Do you think we melted it out?" Raj gulped.

Julia rolled her eyes. "Oh please, that thing was probably in the ice for years. Even if we did, there's no way-"

At that moment, the yeti popped out of the snow and roared loudly. The Skunk Butts screamed and ran away. The yeti chased after them. Bowie saw a ladder and quickly climbed up. The rest of his teammates followed. As soon as they reached the top, Axel jumped to the front of their bobsled. "I've got the coin, let's go!"

Everyone jumped in behind her, while Nichelle went to push from behind. The yeti had just reached the top of the ladder, when they were already heading down.

They screamed as they went speeding down the ice path.

"Axel!" Julia shouted. "Pull the brake!"

The zombie commando reached for the lever.

"Wait!" From the back, Nichelle stood up. "Axel, don't do it!"

"What?!" The rest of her teammates shouted. Axel looked back.

Nichelle reached up and grabbed a giant hanging icicle, snapping it from its base. "The Rat Faces are already in the water. Our best bet is to keep going and skip across the water!"

"That makes no sense!" Bowie shouted.

"Axel, trust me! I have an idea."

The zombie commando was still holding onto the lever. She looked back again. Nichelle nodded at her. Axel nodded back and let go of the brake.

"We're all going to die!" Julia bellowed as they picked up more speed.

Nichelle was right, the Rat Faces were already halfway across the water.

"And with the Skunk Butts nowhere in sight," Chris announced. "It looks like another win for the Rat Faces."

At that moment, screaming could be heard. The Rat Faces looked back. The Skunk Butt's bobsled careened out of a hole in the ice at a tremendous speed. And as Nichelle said, they skipped across the water like a rock.

"Caleb!" Priya yelled. "Speed up!"

"There's no way they can make it to the dock before us." Damien reassured.

As they got closer, Nichelle stood up, holding her piece of broken ice. The bobsled was right behind the Rat Faces dingy. It went right over it. Nichelle aimed and chucked her ice spear towards their boat. It struck the controls, immediately destroying it and going right through the dingy. It sank shortly after, while the Skunk Butts continued skipping.

Shortly after, they hit a series of rocks, stopping the bobsled in its path. The Skunk Butts were sent flying towards the dock.

Nichelle saw the dock ahead and looked over at Axel. She grabbed her arm and pulled her towards her. The zombie commando was surprised.

"Get Chris the coin!" She yelled.

Before Axel could respond, Nichelle lifted her up, now holding her like a spear. She aimed and chucked her teammate towards the dock. Axel was still surprised, but shook herself to her senses. She hugged her knees as soon as she hit the dock and rolled right in front of Chris and stood up, coin in hand.

The rest of her teammates followed shortly, all crashing into the dock.

Axel was still in shock at what just happened. Chris swiped the coin from her hand. "And it looks like Team Skunk Butt are our winners!"

Most of the contestants let out a pained "Yay…"

Confessional (Axel): She was still processing what just happened. "I don't think I've ever been used like a spear before." Her cheeks started to glow once more. "It...um…I kinda liked it."

Static

Bowie was pulling himself out of the water. A hand suddenly grabbed his wrist and pulled him up. Raj locked his boyfriend in a tight hug. "I'm so proud of you!" He said. "You didn't let Julia get away with cheating."

Bowie, though in pain from his ribs getting crushed, managed a smile. "Thanks…babe."

His boyfriend put him down. "And…I promised a kiss if we won fairly. So…" Raj puckered his lips, closed his eyes and leaned forward. He was surprised when he ended up kissing Bowie's palm.

He sighed. "Raj, I want nothing more than to kiss you right here, right now. But, we didn't win fairly. Even though I didn't have anything to do with what Julia was doing, it doesn't change the fact that it happened. I don't think I've earned this kiss."

Raj's jaw dropped, but he quickly managed a smile. He then hugged Bowie, much more gently. "You're the best boyfriend ever."

Bowie was grateful Raj could say that, but he didn't look happy.

Confessional (Bowie): He sighed. "No. I haven't been a great boyfriend. I let Julia mess with me and it took nearly losing Raj to get me to stop cheating. I'm done. And this time, I mean it."

Static

Julia and MK were back in the woods. The influencer looked pissed. "Ugh. Bowie is seriously going to pay for sabotaging me."

"Who knew the guy with the boyfriend had a moral compass?" MK said sarcastically. "Did you try to steal our coin, by the way?"

"Oh, yeah. I figured it would give me the best shot at winning. Until Mr. 'My boyfriend is more important than a million dollars' had to grow a conscience. He's lucky we won."

The hacker nodded. "I'm impressed."

Julia raised an eyebrow. "About what?"

"Trying to steal the coin. I probably would've done that too, if it were me."

The influencer didn't know how to respond, so she said nothing.

MK held out her hand. "I can take the hair dryer back."

"Huh?" Julia snapped to attention. "Oh…yeah." She reached into her back pocket and pulled it out.

"Cool. See ya around." MK took it and went in another direction.

Julia watched her leave.

Just like Julia, Millie was also alone, walking back to the cabins. A lot was on her mind.

Confessional (Millie): "At this point, I'm fully convinced Caleb is trying to keep me away from Priya. He might even try to get rid of me. I need to talk to Damien to get him out first."

Static

"Millie!"

The book nerd turned to see her best friend heading towards her. She checked and couldn't see anyone else around. "Priya! Good, I really wanted to talk about something."

"So do I." Priya said. "It's about tonight's vote."

"Oh…" Millie was surprised, but then thought of something. "Well, I might have an idea, but I don't know if you'll like it-"

"We should vote for Wayne."

Now Millie was really caught off guard. "Wait…what? Wayne? Why?"

"Chris did an early merge last season, so he's probably doing another this time."

"So what?"

"Think about it. If Wayne and Raj make it to the merge together, they'll be really hard to beat."

"But didn't Wayne do really well in today's challenge?" She then thought of something. "I-I mean, Caleb was the one pushing me to do the challenges, why not him?"

"Caleb and I already agreed on Wayne. We can't let him make it any further."

"But-"

"Look, I'm gonna go find MK." Priya started heading out. "You go find Damien and we'll talk about your thing after the elimination ceremony."

Priya had already left before Millie could say anything else. She was left alone, uncertain about what was going to happen.

Damien arrived soon after. "You talk to Priya yet?"

Millie sighed. "I tried, but she's way too invested in this game to listen to me." She considered her options. "Caleb is a really bad influence on her, and I'm sure he wants me gone." She looked at Damien. "I'll try and talk to MK about voting for Caleb."

"Sounds like a plan." Damien said, and the two headed out.

Once they were gone, Caleb's head suddenly popped out from a bush. He had heard everything.

Confessional (Caleb): He was smirking. "Oh, this'll be interesting."

The Rat Faces arrive at the elimination ceremony. Chris held up his usual plate of Marshmallows. He was wearing a top hat. "Welcome back Rat Faces. I'm sure you've grown accustomed to this because it's your third time being here. But, for one of you, it'll be your last. Chef, do the thing."

"My pleasure." The co-host said. "Caleb, you continuously kept pushing Millie into doing the obstacles when she obviously wasn't ready for them."

Caleb remained stoic, while Millie glared at him.

However, Chef then turned his attention to the bookworm. "And while she was forced into most of them, Millie didn't exactly prove herself that useful in the challenge."

Millie was surprised. "Wait, but I-"

"And Wayne." Chef interrupted. "You threw MK and caused one of your platforms to break, costing your team precious time."

Wayne looked nervous.

"Alright, let's get down to business." Chris passed out the marshmallows. "Millie…Priya…MK…Damien…and the final marshmallow, with a vote of three to two, goes to…"

Wayne shuffled on his stump. Caleb still didn't look worried, but he couldn't help but let out a beat of sweat.

"…Caleb."

The hunk grinned as he caught his treat, while Wayne just looked defeated.

Priya was happy too, until a thought crossed her. "Wait. Three to two? That doesn't make sense. There should be six votes."

Chris shrugged. "Wayne got three, Caleb got two. Simple as that."

Priya thought for a moment, then turned to one of her teammate's. "MK, who did you vote for?"

"You already know." MK said. "I made it clear I voted for the guy who threw me into an icicle?"

Priya then looked at the now eliminated hockey bro. "Wayne, who did you vote for?"

The hockey bro scratched his chin. "That's a good question, coach. Who did I vote for?" He paused. "No, seriously. Who did I vote for? I forgot."

"Ok." Priya said to herself. "Three votes for Wayne. One was me, one was MK and one was…Caleb? Who did you vote for?"

"I voted with you." Caleb said, then gestured towards his other teammate. "Why don't you ask your bestie?"

Priya scoffed. "Nice try. But Millie wouldn't-" She stopped, now looking at her friend.

Millie, despite her best efforts, looked like she was about to explode.

Now Priya was curious. "Millie? Did you vote for Caleb or Wayne?"

"Ummm…" The bookworm was sweating bullets. "You see, I-"

Caleb cut her off and spoke to Priya. "She and Damien voted for me. Millie doesn't trust me and thinks I'm trying to mess with you."

"Oh, you heard that?" Damien said.

"Damien!" Millie yelped.

"Oh…probably shouldn't have said that."

"Millie?" Priya said, confused. "I thought we talked about voting for Wayne. What is Caleb talking about? Did you seriously not vote with me? Why wouldn't you trust Caleb?"

"I'll see you guys later." Wayne waved as he walked towards the dock.

"I mean, he kinda pushed her into doing the challenges." Damien said.

"Well, why wouldn't she just tell me that, instead of just going behind my back?"

"Like you did last season…" Caleb noted.

Millie was growing increasingly nervous. She looked at her friend, who looked hurt and betrayed. It was an all too familiar feeling.

Confessional (Millie): "All I could think of was Priya finding my journal in the last season. I wanted to tell her so badly how I'm feeling and I know not telling her is still going to hurt her, but…I couldn't bring myself to say it."

Static

She sighed. "I'm sorry, Priya."

Damien stood up. "Wait, shouldn't we-"

"Not now." Millie turned and walked away.

Priya watched her go, speechless. Caleb just grinned.

Wayne made his way to the dock. His final narration began. "I don't blame my team for voting me off. I mean, that's how it goes. You vote people off. It's just too bad-" Chris put his hand up, stopping Wayne and his narration.

"Sorry, Wayne. That argument kinda put us on a time constraint. No time for a final narration."

"Oh." The hockey bro said. "Can at least say bye to Rajie?"

Chris pondered. "Let me think about that."

While he was thinking, the Drone of Despair appeared, grabbed Wayne by the back of his shirt and carried him away.

"Ok, sure." Chris said, when Wayne was already over the water and out of sight.

MK carefully opened the door to a trailer. She looked around, before running off. Little did she know, Chris, now wearing a hat akin to a detective, was watching her. "And it looks like the case of the missing hair dryer has been solved. Tune in next time for another exciting and possibly revenge filled episode of Total…Drama…Island!"

With Wayne's elimination, that means he is not going to win the season this time. I don't hate Wayne. In fact, I loved him in season one. He was an idiot, but had a competitive and snarky edge, but was also very capable at leading his team. He and Raj were really funny too and I loved they're story of Raj coming out to Wayne. But season two kinda degraded them to just idiots. And because of that, I don't really like Wayne as a finalist in that season. It's about time we see the Hockey Bros separated. So let's see where Raj goes from here.

Now, the next chapter is going to be very different from the canon version. It'll become very apparent what I mean when I actually release it. Feel free to predict what I'm going to do, but in the meantime, let me know what you think of this chapter and please leave a comment on it. I love hearing from y'all

See you in the next one.
