One Month Later

Thomas walked into Tommy's makeshift office and settled in the chair across from him. They were sure that the two of them were going to get pulled back to their world any day now and Thomas had a sinking feeling of what the third universe would be. He hadn't thought about it at first, but it was the only thing that made sense now.

"What's up?" Tommy asked as Thomas locked eyes with him and Tommy put all of the papers he had been reviewing down. Kim's prophecies had picked up again and with access to Kimberly and JJ's prophecies- he was getting a more complete view of the universes. He had been taking pages and pages of notes to compare when they were able to get back home, but he still wasn't sure that it was enough. They both still felt that there was a threat to Kim that could take her away. "You know what the third universe is."

"I believe that I do. It's not a world that I know much about, but Kimberly's hidden prophecies had some references to that world…and an evil version of us. I thought that it might be your world at first, but…something doesn't match with your world. The way she describes that man, that version…it's not you," Thomas stated as Tommy nodded and then shook his head. He was really going to go to a universe and help an evil version of himself in order to defeat Kiros. "From what I was able to figure out, Lord Drakkon will not welcome you."

"So I'll be dodging him and trying to deal with Kiros," Tommy stated and Thomas shrugged. "No?"

"There is one commonality between all the worlds- all of us love our Kimberly. I doubt that he will welcome anything that would hurt her…so it'll be convincing him that Kiros will be coming for his version of her and that you are the only thing that can stop it," Thomas said as Tommy nodded and they both sat there in silence. Thomas had never been evil, but Tommy knew how alluring that pull was and he was lucky that Jason had snapped him out of it when he did. "I don't like it anymore than you."

"Any idea on when?" Tommy asked and Thomas just shook his head. He had approximate timelines for his world, but they were not sure if they could overlap them with Tommy's world and it be accurate. "Hopefully Kim will get to heal."

"Yeah, how are they doing?" Thomas asked as Tommy smiled. While Kimberly was still recovering from the surgery, she was otherwise doing great and their son hadn't had any ill effects from being born early. "That good?"

"For everything we've been through, yeah. Biggest thing is sitting up is still difficult, but she's happy to just hold him and be a mom right now. We didn't really get that the first time around," Tommy said as Thomas nodded again and he gave him a knowing look. "You know…maybe you should go to the cemetery. Kim said that she saw her…there's no reason to think she wouldn't show up for you."

"I'm not a Yogen-sha, Tommy. The reason JJ was able to see her was because he is. I doubt…" Thomas trailed off as Tommy glared at him and he let out a sigh. He knew what Tommy was saying was right, but he wasn't strong enough to stay away if he felt her. He had to stay here for his family. "It's not the same…I can't. If I see her, my her…"

"Just a thought," Tommy said as Katy knocked on the door and they both looked up to face her.

"Atlantis asked me to get you and your family to Guardian headquarters as soon as we can," Katy said as Tommy let out a long sigh, but nodded his head. He had hoped to be able to get around this, but it seemed like the time had come for them to talk to Atlantis. "He also said just to bring yourselves…apparently this won't be a long meeting."

"Luca is normally napping right now, but I think we can work something out," Tommy said as he gathered his things and placed them in a folder. "Just in case- this is coming with."

"It sounds like that is a good idea," Katy said as Tommy just nodded and he walked over to give her a hug. "What's this for?"

"Thank you for running interference for us…on everything," Tommy said as Katy nodded. She had been the one that kept the Guardians away from them while Kim recovered and had also been keeping the rest of the Power Ranger world away from them. They all wanted to study the forever ranger and he had no interest in being a lab rat, especially with people that he had earned these stripes with in another world.

"Hey," Kim whispered as the door opened and she nodded towards the bassinet. "What's going on?"

"Atlantis wants us to come to their headquarters, with Luca. Want me to get him while you grab anything you'll need?" Tommy whispered in return as she let out a sigh and then scooted to the edge of the couch before slowly standing up. Some days she forgot about her abdominal injuries, but today was not one of those days. "Kim…we can take our time if you want him to sleep."

"Does it sound like we're going to get back to our babies?" Kim asked Katy and she barely nodded. "Then wake him up- we shouldn't keep Jay and Kira waiting any longer than they have to."

"I'll get him," Tommy said as he pulled her to her feet and she settled against him for a moment. "C'mon…let's get home."

"Tommy, Kimberly- it's so nice to finally meet you," Atlantis said as they walked into the conference room and they both stared at him. The last time they had seen him, he had been set on killing them. This was very different. "I understand that the protocol was enacted on your planet and that you are the only survivors."

"We just want to get back home," Tommy said as Atlantis motioned for them to sit down and they exchanged a glance before taking a seat. Thomas and Katy settled in, comfortably, on the other side of the table and Tommy grabbed Kim's hand to try to get her to relax. "What do you need?"

"I've gotten testimony and gathered data from all of the parties here. I wanted to give the two of you a chance to tell me anything else I may need to know," Atlantis said as Kim glanced over at him before holding Luca closer to her chest. Something about the action caught Tommy's attention and he turned to comfort her. "I won't make you. You've been through enough- in any lifetime, on any planet."

"It's not that- we…you…" Kim trailed off as she let out a shaky breath and curled into Tommy's body.

"This is more traumatic than you understand," Tommy forced out as he let out a long sigh to try to compose himself. "You didn't just remove errant rangers in our world- you annihilated them. You nearly killed us and…after everything here…"

"I won't make you relive it anymore," Atlantis said as he stood up and they stared at him. He was not going to press them for more information? He didn't want to turn them into lab rats for this planet to learn from? "You've been through enough and it's not worth making it worse for the two of you. If you'll follow me, we'll get you home."

"It's that simple?" Tommy asked as Atlantis stilled and he felt his heart sink. "It's not."

"Usually you are just pulled in your sleep. In this case- we're pushing you back to your home planet. We'll need you to concentrate on your home and…pool your powers to keep your son safe," Atlantis said as Kimberly squeezed her eyes shut and Tommy reached out for her hand. This was why they had waited until Kimberly was mostly recovered, even if they had never explained it to them. "Thomas, Katy- you have five minutes."

"Thank you," Thomas said as he stood across from the both of them, before he moved to give Tommy and then Kimberly a hug. He lingered a bit with Kim in his arms and she leaned up and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. The pain flashed through him, but it also touched a part of him that he hadn't allowed to be in the world since she died. "You saved my son and revealed a lot of problems that we need to fix in this world. We would have never found this out without you."

"Oh come here," Katy said as Kimberly looked at her and she then wrapped her in a hug. "I'm glad that I got to meet some version of you- I get it even more now. You take care of your babies."
