And we're here. The penultimate chapter of the second season re-boot. I guess I'll save this section to give my thoughts on the canon episode. It's not bad and I actually really like how they handle Wayne. If they kept this idiot, but kind character type for him, I don't think I would have as much of an issue with him being a finalist. But, that probably would've required Raj to be eliminated a lot sooner. The Prileb drama is still the only thing going on in terms of plot and it's no better here.

Anyways, hope y'all enjoy!

"Last time on Total Drama Island," Chris narrated. "Things got ruff…" He chuckled. "See what I did there? The competitors were made to feel like tennis balls when we sent a squad of vicious blood-thirsty dogs after them. Even the little white-haired rat thing proved to be effective. Those hounds were chomping and snarling all the live long day. Despite having the number advantage, Damien let his nerves get the best of him and, with some convincing from Julia, sent Nichelle back to the world of movies, stardom, and unclean sidewalks."

The camera flashed to reveal Chris standing at the dock. "Four remain, but only three will move onto our finale. Will the formidable duo of MK and Julia hang on for one more round? Will Raj make good on his battle 'against the world?' And will Damien make it through the day without having a panic attack? I highly doubt it. But we'll see. On the penultimate episode of…Total…Drama…Island!"

Julia and MK were walking together, through the woods. They were already in the middle of a conversation.

"...and if the challenge involves mud or anything that gets your clothes dirty, there's no way you'd win."

"I ate a tapeworm last season." Julia reminded. "I can handle anything Chris throws at me."

"What if it's bleach?" MK countered.

The influencer stuttered. "W-Well…I-I…shut up! If the challenge was a dance-off or a fashion show, there's no way you'd win."

"My dignity is worth more than a million dollars."

"Alright, so you're cool with me winning then."

MK pointed at her friend. "Wait, hold on, I never said that."

Julia chuckled and moved ahead. MK rolled her eyes, but managed a smile.

Confessional (MK): She was holding the Chris idol. "Right now, I have the best shot at making it to the finale. But I can't risk this getting out of my hands. Problem is, I can't hide it anywhere because the stupid squirrels might toss it out. I guess my best option is to keep it on me and hope no one gets suspicious." She slipped the idol into the inside pocket of her jacket. "On the plus side, these things are pretty deep. I kept two hundred packs of gum on me for a week straight and made so much money selling them in school. None of the teachers caught me." It suddenly dawned on her what she just admitted. She smiled nervously at the camera. "A-And it's a good thing I learned my lesson and…stopped."

Static

MK kept walking, unaware that Julia was no longer by her side. When she did, she turned back around. Julia seemed to be scanning the ground.

"What are you doing?" MK asked.

"I think a nail fell off. Help me look for it?"

MK hesitated.

Confessional (MK): "Either she lost a nail or…she suspects I have the idol and is trying to swipe it off me. I can't let her think I have it. Gotta play it cool."

Static

Julia looked up briefly to see MK. "What are you doing?"

The hacker was searching through the grass like Julia. Only…she hadn't bothered to move from her spot, so was a few feet ahead of her ally. "I'm looking for your dumb nail, what else?"

Julia frowned. "I wasn't standing there when I lost it."

MK shrugged. "You never know. I've dropped some things and they sometimes end up in spots you wouldn't expect."

Julia stared. MK could only hope she wasn't on to her. After a moment, the blonde shrugged. "Whatever, weirdo." And went back to searching.

MK breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

Thwack

Raj smacked an acorn with a stick that had a curved end. It flew forward and smacked into a bucket that had a poorly drawn picture of Julia on the cabin steps. It banged off and caused a dent. Next to the bucket was two more with crude drawings of MK and Damien. He used his make-shift hockey stick and hit another acorn.

Damien was behind him. He looked nervous.

Confessional (Damien): He sighed. "I spent the whole night trying to figure out what to say to him. He seemed really upset about it, so an apology might not be enough. I might as well try though…"

Static

The neurotic contestant took a deep breath and stepped forward. Raj was still focusing on his hockey game.

"Raj…" Damien started.

The hockey bro slapped another acorn, not bothering to turn around or say anything.

"Raj?" He tried again.

No response, other than another smack.

Damien was confused. He reached out his hand towards Raj's shoulder. The hockey bro hit another acorn, which slammed into the bucket with Damien's face and knocked it off the step it was on.

Damien froze himself, as the bucket fell off the steps and onto the ground.

Confessional (Damien): "Uh…I think I got my answer." He exhaled. "Man, Raj must really hate me."

Confessional (Raj): He was wearing ear buds. He sat with an intense stare. Faint rock music could be heard. He pulled out one of the pods. "Listening to heavy metal helps me focus. It really gets me in the zone. If someone tried talking to me, there's no way I would hear them."

Static

Damein stepped back and decided to take a walk into the woods. Julia was watching him from behind a tree. "No luck?" She asked, poking her head out.

Damien jumped slightly, but quickly recovered. He glared. "What do you want?"

"Oh, nothing. Just figured you'd need an ally."

Confessional (Julia): "Two votes might be good, but I need that third to make sure I'm safe. And with Damien on the verge of a nervous breakdown, he's ripe for manipulation."

Static

Damien stared. "Listen, Julia. I know you tricked me. You used me at my lowest point and took advantage of my heightened senses."

Julia raised an eyebrow. "What heightened senses?"

"The senses that should've made me realize that believing you is like thinking the Cold War was called that because it took place when it was snowing." Julia blinked. Damien grunted. "What I mean is, in 1947-"

"I don't need a history lesson." Julia cut off. "But I'm gonna assume you thought it was a bad idea to trust me." Damien nodded. "Why? I don't have the idol. If I did, I wouldn't be trying to convince you. I have a guaranteed spot in the finale."

Damien struggled to think of something to say. He shook his head. "Y-You're bluffing. You manipulated me into getting Nichelle out. And the only reason you're still here is because you won the last challenge. So, I'm going to make sure you don't win this one, then you'll be out and out of my brain."

Before Julia could respond, Damien stomped away, refusing to listen further.

Confessional (Julia): "Well, plan A was a bust. Hopefully MK can get Raj on our side."

Static

MK found Raj, still slapping acorns. She grinned mischeviously.

Confessional (MK): "Look, I know we're trying to get rid of Raj, but…I actually kinda want Julia gone. Don't get me wrong, I…tolerate her, but I can't risk going against someone I might consider a…person who I might not entirely hate. If I have to hit her with something I might…" She shuddered. "...feel bad about it."

Static

"Yo, Raj." She called.

Like before, Raj still had his ear buds in, but MK didn't notice.

"Raj?" She was about to tap him on the shoulder.

The hockey bro swung, but the acorn hit the guardrail and bounced back. It went hurdling towards Raj. He ducked and it sailed over him…right into MK's face.

She winced in pain and fell back to the ground.

It was then that Raj realized MK was behind him. "Oh…sorry, MK." He held out his hand.

"Don't…mention it." MK grunted and accepted his hand. Once she was standing, she cleared her throat. "Now that I have your attention, I can-" She stopped, as it occurred to her that Raj had gone back to shooting acorn pucks. "Hey!" She tapped him on the shoulder.

This time, Raj turned around and took out his ear buds. "Oh, sorry, we're you trying to tell me something?"

"Yes!" MK yelled, then quickly regained composure. "I mean…I just wanted to talk to you. About who you're voting for."

"Oh, probably Julia."

"Yeah, I figured. So, I was thinking we could-"

"Or Damien." Raj cut off. "Or maybe you, depending on how the challenge goes. I mean, I guess you didn't do anything that wrong to me, but I kinda made this deal with myself to-"

"Hold up!" MK put her hands out. "I'm trying to help you. If we work together, we can-"

"Nope." Raj again interrupted. "I'm in it to win it. By myself."

The hacker was stunned. "But-"

Raj sighed and put his hand on MK's shoulder. "Listen, I don't hate you, MK, but I can't be your friend right now. If you get eliminated, I might feel sad about it and I can't risk that right now. Maybe after the show, we can be friends, but not right now." He paused. MK was staring at him like his head was now a cheesewheel. Raj nodded. "I'm glad you understand."

With that, Raj put his ear buds back in and went back to hitting acorns with his stick.

MK was too stunned to say anything.

Chris has soon called the final four competitors to the challenge. The arrived in a fenced off area. Inside it were four cranes, next to four concrete cells. Chris and Chef were waiting for them at the bottom of a view area.

"Welcome, campers!" Chris greeted. "Congrats on making it to the second to last challenge of the season. This one is called 'Off the Hook!"

"A win for today earns you a spot in the finale and a guaranteed shot at the million dollar prize." Chef continued. "For this challenge, you'll each be wearing a harness with a hook ring. If you look around, you'll notice we have four cranes, each with a hook on them."

Chris stepped towards a fat intern who was wearing a vest. He grabbed on of the hanging hooks and attached it to the intern's hook ring. "Your goal in this challenge is to snag a rival competitor with a hook. Doing this will yank said competitors into the air, where they will be dropped into…" He gestured the concrete structures. "...a tank of terror!"

"I know it's stupid to ask, but…" Damien considered what to say. "Actually, never mind, I'm not going to ask."

Confessional (Damien): "Alright, I think I got the hang of this. If I ask, he'll tell me. So if I don't ask, he won't say anything about it." He grinned.

Static

"Well, Damien. I have good news…I was going to tell you even if you weren't going to ask!"

Confessional (Damien): "Dang it." He sighed.

Static

"They are called tanks of terror because they each contain one of your deepest fears."

Chef, who was now standing on an elevated section, pulled a lever on a device. The crane that had the hook attached to the intern activated and pulled the poor intern off the ground. He yelped in fear, as he carried towards to top of the cell and dropped into an open hatch. He screamed, as the campers could hear loud growling from inside the tank.

Julia was the only one unnerved by it. "How do you even know what our deepest fears?" She asked.

Chris reached into his back pocket and pulled out a stack of papers. "Remember how you guys filled out our application?" Everyone nodded. "Well, do you also remember the section where we asked you to tell us your fears?"

Confessional (Damien): "Oh…boy. This is not going to be a fun challenge." He sighed. "But now that I know I can't count Raj as an ally, this challenge is a must-win."

Confessional (Raj): He took a deep breath. "Alright, I said that it was 'Raj against the world' and I meant it. Final period, down by three. I'm going to win this."

Static

Chef turned his attention down to the campers. "Once you're in the tank, you'll have to face your fears if you want to escape."

"First campers left standing alone in the pit wins immunity." Chris added.

Julia and MK subtly glanced at each other, then nodded.

Confessional (Julia): "I can't risk hooking MK too early. I need her as an ally." She paused. "And I…might feel a little bad for making her face her fears. Someone who willingly goes out in public looking like street trash must have some dark secrets."

Confessional (MK): "Knowing Julia, her fear is probably a bad pedicure or a social media account with no followers." She chuckled. "I hope Chris picked a good one."

Static

The campers soon had their vests on. Julia and MK were standing next to each other, while Damien and Raj were on the other side. They all grabbed hooks and waited for Chris to make the call.

"Ready, campers?" Chris' voice echoed from the commentator's box. They all narrowed their eyes at each other. "Get ready to hook…now!"

Julia took a step forward towards Raj and Damien. She suddenly felt something latch onto her. She looked down to see she had already been hooked. "Wha-" She turned to see MK, smirking with no hook in her hand. "Hey! I-WAH!" She was suddenly yanked into the air.

Confessional (MK): "Look, I know Julia and I are fr…allies, but we can't risk Raj or Damien figuring that out." She couldn't hide a smile. "And…yeah, it was really funny."

Static

Damien and Raj circled each other. The hockey bro seemed intense as he stared down the neurotic contestant. Damien gulped.

Confessional (Damien): "I know Raj likes to trash-talk with Wayne. Maybe I can do the same here and catch him off-guard."

Static

Damien glared back. "You worried, Raj? Is your fear…breaking up with your boyfriend?" He stopped. "Wait, no. You didn't have a boyfriend when you signed your contract. Hold on, give me a second."

But Raj wasn't listening. As soon as Damien brought up Bowie, he stopped paying attention to what he was saying. His eyes went wide, before quickly narrowing.

"Alright," Damien snapped his fingers. "I think I got a better one. I-" He stopped, as Raj was suddenly galloping towards him at a tremendous speed. Damien screamed and covered his face with his hands. "I'm sorry. I take it back! I-"

Raj then hooked Damien and stepped back. It took a moment for the neurotic contestant to realize what happened. "Wait-" Like Julia, he was yanked off the ground and dragged towards the terror tank.

Julia was unceremoniously dropped into her tank, but it wasn't as long of a fall as she was expecting. Her fall was cushioned by a large amount of yellow jelly. She looked around, confused. "Wait, is this marmalade? Why would that-" She gasped. "It's jam for old people!"

At that moment, three elderly individuals popped out of the jam. One was knitting a sweater.

"Oh, good." another said. "We got a fourth for bridge."

Julia's only response was a blood-curdling scream.

Confessional (Julia): She shuddered. "There is nothing more scary than old people. Their sole purpose in life is to remind the young and beautiful that their good looks won't last forever."

Static

"I will always be young and beautiful!" Julia wailed.

"Oh, honey." Said the knitting woman. "We all thought that once."

Damien was also dropped into his cell. It was a much deeper fall and he slammed into the metal floor. The tank was dark, with a TV near the door. It flickered on, revealing Chris. "Oh, Damien. You gave us a lot to work with." He held up a stack of papers. "You actually asked for a second sheet, and you filled out the back. So thanks for giving us a lot to work with."

Damien took a deep breath and exhaled. "Alright, you're fine. You've dealt with a lot on this island. Whatever they throw at you, you can handle." The lights suddenly flicked on. Damien didn't notice anything until he looked down. His throat ran dry when he saw what his fear was.

On the ground, all over the floor, was a bunch of turtle, crawling along. Damien screamed loudly.

Confessional (Damien): "Alright, before any of you question me, back in the third grade when I went to a zoo, my friend made a joke how if I touch a specific turtle, I'll die. And…a month later, the zoo got broken into and nearly all the turtles went missing. I've never touched a turtle since. Most people have said I'm crazy, but at least I'm not dead!"

Static

Now there was only two competitors left in the middle. MK and Raj circled each other, each holding a hook.

"I guess we're gonna see who's better: gamers or hockey players." MK grinned.

Raj raised an eyebrow. "Have you played a hockey game before?"

"Not really, no."

"Good to know." Raj smirked, then readied himself.

MK, surprised by the hockey bro's change in demenor, suddenly felt nervous. Regardless, she did the same.

A hook suddenly latched onto Raj's vest. He barely had time to register, before he was yanked away.

MK stared at her new opponent. "I don't suppose you want to team up again?"

Julia glared. "What is wrong with you?! I thought we were teaming up!"

"I didn't want to give it away. If Raj and Damien saw us working together, then there goes our secret." Julia just glared back at her. MK sighed. "Fine. If it's so much of an issue, you can hook me right here." She then held out her arms to the side.

The influencer was surprised. "What are you doing?"

"I just told you."

"How do I know this isn't a trick?"

MK then tossed aside the hook in her hand. She had no defense now.

Julia stared, still uncertain about the whole ordeal. Cautiously, she stepped forward.

Confessional (Julia): "Is it a trap? Probably. Unless she's really willing to give away spot in the finale to…me."

Static

Julia reached her hook towards MK's vest. MK hadn't made a single move. She was about to be hooked, when a loud slam was heard.

Both MK and Julia turned to see Damien, standing at the now open door of the tank he was dropped in. He was panting heavily. However, as soon as he saw MK and Julia, his exhaustion was replaced with unbridled rage.

Confessional (Damien): He gnashed his teeth. "Julia. Is the whole reason I'm in this situation. Raj hates me and if I don't win, I'm out. It's time to win this challenge. No careful planning, no second guessing. Common sense is going right out the window! Long live, Sir Damien!"

Static

Raj landed in his terror tank with a loud thud. He sat up and looked around. The room was filled with scattered hocket equipment. "Huh." Raj noted. "This room isn't too bad."

He then heard something step behind him. He turned around nervously.

A bear, wearing an orange hockey jersey, glared down at him. It snapped, the hockey stick it was holding, in half.

A TV screen flickered on. "Raj, how's it going?"

"Uh, fine, I guess. I'm not really afraid of bears. Am I supposed to play hockey with it?"

"Bobo, lower the mask."

Raj turned around. Bobo reached for something on his head and pulled it down to his face. It was a cardboard mask with Wayne's face on it.

"AHHHHHH!" The hockey bro screamed and scampered away from it.

"That's right!" TV Chris said. "It's Wayne, playing for a different hockey team!"

Raj backed up until he hit the wall of the tank. "Wayne, no."

Confessional (Raj): "Wayne and I have been competitive before, but we never wanted to be on different teams." He weeped. "Now if I pass it to him…it'll be a turnover."

Static

"How am I supposed to deal with this!?" Raj cried. "How can I go on if my best friend is on a different team?! How-" He suddenly stopped. "Wait…I've already been through that. Wayne and I weren't on the same team this season." He looked over to the Wayne bear. "And Wayner would probably want me to give it my all." He took a deep breath and stepped towards the bear. "Wayne's still my best friend, even if we aren't together." He managed a smile, then hugged the bear. Surprisingly, Bobo returned it.

"Wait," Chris interjected. "That was it? This was supposed to be your biggest fear"

Raj shrugged. "It was." He then smiled. "Thanks, coach. We really made a breakthrough today."

"I…" Chris stared at his tablet. "I don't know what to say."

"I do." Chef pointed. "Bears can't be trusted."

Damien was currently flailing his arms, trying to hook either MK or Julia. Surprisingly, both were managing to avoid him. Though, there were some close calls and both girls were getting tired.

"What are we supposed to do?" MK asked. "He's a mad man!"

"Mad man?" Damien raised an eyebrow, suddenly talking like a knight. "You will bow down before my awesome might and bask in the greatness of Sir Damien!" He laughed loudly as he kept wildly swinging his hook.

Confessional (MK): "Yup, he's gone mad."

Static

Julia glanced at MK. "You go right, I'll go left. If he gets one of us, the other can catch him when he's not looking." The hacker nodded. "On three. One, two-"

A hook suddenly latched onto Julia's vest. "Three." MK said.

Once again, Julia barely had a moment to react, before being yanked off the ground and towards her terror tank.

MK grinned to herself, but it faded when she realized what she left herself with.

Damien glared down at her. "Prepare for your demise!"

Confessional (Damien): "I should try this knightly act more often. It's helped me out a lot."

Static

A hook suddenly latched onto…Damien's vest.

"Huh?" The neurotic contestant looked and then saw that Raj had suddenly appeared next to him. "Oh, come on!" He yelled as he was dragged out of sight.

MK and Raj shared a brief glance, before each running off the grab a hook.

For the second time, Damien was dropped into his terror tank. He looked around. "Good, no turtles."

Chris appeared on the TV. "Damien, I seriously question some of your fears, but I appreciate your honesty. You don't get enough of that on television."

"So, does that mean you'll go easy on me for this one?"

Chris laughed. "Nope. I just admire your character."

Confessional (Damien): "Why?! Why do I keep thinking something good will happen?!"

Static

A light turned on from the other side of the room. Damien looked to see…cannons pointing at him. He widened his eyes. "Wait! I never put 'cannonballs being shot at me' as one of my fears. I mean, it's logical and I probably should put it on a new list…if I live to make one."

"Don't worry, Damien." Chris soothed. "They aren't cannonballs."

The cannons fired, but it wasn't what Damien expected. From the cannons, shot a mess of small silver, sparkly objects. They hit Damien, but exploded on impact. Damien was surprised that it had such little effect. He then noticed the entire room was covered in shiny little bits. In fact, a good chunk was on him. He opened his jacket and found more. He took his hat off and found more under it. He took his shoes off and more sparkes came pouring out.

By this point, Damien was in a panic, as he realized what it was. "Glitter!" He screamed.

Confessional (Damien): "Maybe I was being a little ridiculous with the turtles, but I don't want to hear it about the glitter. What is more terrifying than something that is impossible to get rid of. I once went to party when I was six. I'm still finding bits of glitter to this day. It never leaves you!"

Static

MK and Raj were battling to try and hook the other.

"It's an all out battle between a gamer and a hockey player." Chris narrated. "Whoever hooks the other may end up winning the challenge!"

Raj ducked low and went for her vest, but MK jumped backwards. She then rushed him, but Raj sidestepped her.

"Wow." Chris acknowledged. "Who knew trapping yourself in a basement to push buttons would put you on the same level as someone who plays an actual sport?"

Raj saw an opening and went to hook MK. He went for it and it worked. "Gotcha."

"Gotcha!" Raj felt something latch onto his chest. He looked down to see MK had done the same thing to him.

Both competitors were sent flying towards their individual terror tanks.

At that same time, Julia stepped out of hers. She was about to run in, when she realized what was about to happen.

Confessional (Julia): "If Damien and MK are dropped in, I automatically win!"

Static

Julia watched as the two campers were about to be dropped in. MK was the first one to go in. The influencer felt her smile widening. Raj was just about to be dropped in, when…

A loud slam was heard. Julia turned to see Damien running out of his terror tank. He was leaving behind a trail of glitter as he ran.

MK was then dropped in her tank.

"No easy win for Julia just yet." Chris said.

The influencer sighed and grabbed a hook.

MK was unceremoniously dropped into her terror tank. She looked around. The room was very dark. "Alright, MK." She whispered to herself. "You've been through worse. I don't even think I actually wrote-"

The hatch to her tank suddenly closed, encasing the room in even more darkness. It was then followed by a quick flash of light and a loud booming noise. MK immediately recognized what it was. Another flash and boom sounded. The hacker cowered on the ground and covered her head.

Confessional (MK): "Why did I write that I was scared of thunder and lightning? Chris said every section on the form was mandatory, what was I supposed to do? Lie and say my greatest fear is something else?" She paused, suddenly coming to a realiziaon.

Static

A downpour of rain was suddenly activated. MK was still cowering. She heard a whirring sound and saw two laser coming out of the fake clouds. "What-" She was cut off, as the laser flicked on, each producing a stream of lightning. They zapped MK, sending electricity all through her body. She shrieked in agony.

Confessional (MK): She was still carrying electric residue from the lasers. She coughed and black smoke cmae out of her mouth. "For the record, thunder and lightning are perfectly reasonable fears. How is being zapped by lightning a good way for me to deal with that? It just like an excuse to torture me and…I forgot what show I was on." She sighed. "Yeah, definitely should've lied."

Static

Raj was already getting up, after being dropped in. "At least I know what to expect. It was actually nice seeing Wayne's face…" He trailed off.

The bear was gone and, in it's place, were two people dressed in clothing that Raj found familiar. And when he looked at their faces, he recognized them.

"Mom? Appa?"

The intern dressed as his mom, wearing a cardboard mask, stepped forward. "We are very disappointed in you, Raj."

"Why?" The hockey bro asked. "I haven't been home in a while, so I don't think I broke anything."

The intern with his dad's cardboard face then stepped forward. "You want to pursue a hockey career instead of going to college?!" He sounded stern. "No son of mine will give up his education for some silly hockey!"

Raj gasped. "But, Appa, I already know most of how life works. I know red means stop on a traffic light, if cheese starts turning green, I shouldn't eat it, and Wayne and I know all the spots we're not allowed to huck loogies."

"Wayne?" The mom interjected. "You mean that no-good hooligan? Why do we still let you hang out with him? We're putting an end to that now. We'll let you hang out with the neighbor's kid, Douglas."

"But he only plays chess and reads non-fiction books."

"Yes, that is why he's perfect. He's someone a parent can be proud of."

Raj fell to his knees. "Nooooooooo…"

Confessional (Raj): "I've always been afraid about my parents not being accepting of what I like. I mean, school is good, but I'm a lot happier doing hockey." He sighed. "I wish they'd understand. I mean, Mom hasn't missed any of my games and Appa gave me his signed card of Gordie…" He trailed off. "Wait a minute…"

Static

Raj got up. "My mom and dad wouldn't say that. They've been supportive of me my whole life. Even when I came out, they accepted me. They wouldn't be disappointed in me." He pointed at his cardboard mom. "And you love having Wayne over. You guys both worked on your armpit symphony for the past six months." He then turned to cardboard dad. "And you're the whole reason I got into hockey. I know you guys aren't actually my parents because I know they would love and support me through anything."

Sniffling could be heard from behind the cardboard faces. The interns flipped up their masks. Both of them were in tears. "That was beautiful." One said.

"We'll support you no matter what." The other said said.

Raj was surprised. "Oh." He considered to himself. "It feels good to hear that outloud." He perked up and hugged the interns. "Thanks, cardboard mom and appa." He released, then went to the door. "Love you guys."

"We love you too, son!" The bawling interns called back.

Chris was looking at his tablet, unimpressed. "Again? Seriously? What else am I supposed to scare him with?"

"Love is a powerful thing." Chef pointed. "Especially with stupid people."

Damien and Julia were involved in an intense duel. After Julia tricked him, Damien was fully focused on hooking her vest. "Give it up, bawdy, bat-fouling baggage!" He called in a dramatic manner. "Your days of conquest are over!"

Julia rolled her eyes. "Hey, Sir Lose-a-Lot! If I lose, that won't change the fact that Raj hates you. Team up with me and we can make him go away."

Damien thought about it for a moment, taking his focus away from hooking Julia.

The influencer saw her chance and swung her hook.

There was a clash of metal as Damien blocked her hook with his own. "Your trickery shall not stand!" He bellowed and went back on the offensive.

Julia was growing desperate and needed a way out.

Footsteps could be heard. Julia glanced over to see Raj sprinting towards them. He already had a hook in hand.

Julia stepped back and pointed at Damien. "Here ya go, Raj!"

"What?" Damien questioned. "You think Raj hates me more than you? I wasn't the one who-"

Clink

He stopped, as a hook wrapped onto his ring. Damien immediately dropped his knightly act. "Wait, seriously!?" Raj watched as Damien went flying.

Julia watched him and laughed. "Wow, didn't think I could count you as an ally. But, I won't complain. Especially if it means I get to win."

Raj turned. "Oh, I only hooked Damien because I wanted to. I'm still out to beat everyone here." He reached up and grabbed a nearby hook. "And that includes you."

Julia gulped, her confidence quickly dwindling.

By this point, Damien was bored from being slammed into the metal floor. He stood up and looked around. He didn't see anything in front of him. "Alright, whatever Chris has for me, I can deal with it."

He felt something touch his shoulder and turned around.

He then realized the new fear he was facing. Behind him was someone wearing a suit and tie. Only, in place of their head, was a small pickup truck. It had eyes on the windshield, an open mouth smile on the bumper, and a huge mustache on the grill.

It was very ugly, but to Damien, it was absolutely terrifying. He screamed loudly.

Confessional (Damien): He was hugging his arms. "There…is a car commercial, with the most terrifying mascot I've ever seen. It has a truck for a face. It is so unnerving and I flip the TV to a different channel every time it's on."

Static

Damien was now cowering on the floor, with his arms wrapped around his knees.

"And for an added bonus," TV Chris said. "We littered the suit with poisonous spiders!"

"Spiders?!" Damien yelped.

"Wait, it's in the suit?!" The intern wearing the costume yelped. As if on cue, little, purple crawling creatures crept out of the mascot uniform. The intern screamed and tried to shake them off.

Some crawled out and went straight to Damien, walking over his cowering body. He too shrekied in horror. He scrambled to his feet and ran around the room. The intern was also running. Since both were blindly flailing around, the intern and the campers ended up running into each other, knocking themselves to the floor.

Julia and Raj were in an intense duel. They clashed their hooks, each trying to knock the other's hook out of their hand.

"Give up, Raj!" Julia said. "There's no way you can beat me! There's so much space between your ears, I can hear my echo from here!"

"Your shoes are from the dollar store!" Raj snapped back. "And your hair is the color of wet sand!"

Julia was caught off-guard. She briefly slipped, but recovered just in time to block Raj's hook.

Confessional (Raj): "Bowie gave me tips on how to up my trash-talk. Specifically ones for when I'm facing Julia."

Static

The clashing of metal continued. Neither competitors let up.

Suddenly, a door to a terror tank swung flew open. Damien sprinted out, still covered in spiders. He plucked some of them off as he ran. "Get them off! Get them off!" Then he noticed something on his hand. "Dang it! There's more glitter!"

The suddenness of Damien's entrance distracted Raj. It was enough for Julia to hook his vest and send him flying. "My shoes are Gucci!" She called.

As Chef was close to dropping Raj in his terror tank, Chris called out. "Wait, stop! Don't bother putting Raj in his tank. He doesn't get scared, he just grows as a person." He said, unimpressed. "It's terrible!"

"I'll just put him in Damien's." Chef said.

"Good, we just put a snake in there."

"What?!" Damien cried.

Chef pulled the controls and dropped Raj into the other terror tank.

Another door to a terror tank opened. MK stumbled out, wet and still carrying static from facing her fear. She dusted herself off and ran to her friend, grabbing a hook in the process. "Alright, let's team up to get Damien out."

Julia promptly took a big step back. "Nuh-uh." She said. "You've hooked me twice now. What kind of alliance is this, if I can't trust you?"

"Relax, I'm just trying to make people think we aren't working together. If that happens-"

"Wait, what?"

MK and Julia turned to see Damien, no longer covered in spiders, staring at them. "You two…are working together?"

Confessional (MK): "Well, I guess we're gonna find out what happens…"

Static

Julia grabbed another hook and then walked towards the neurotic contestant. MK did the same.

Damien stepped back. He saw another hook and then put on a brave face. He raised his arms like a brave knight and shouted. "I will not go quietly!" He ran forward.

MK and Julia were surprised. Damien wildly swung his hook at Julia, and continued to do so when she dodged. The influencer tried to hook him back, but Damien wasn't giving her a chance.

MK watched. "Geez, he's really going after ya."

"Shut up!" Julia stammered and jumped. "Help me out here!"

"Ok." The hacker reached out with her hook and attached it… to Julia's vest.

She looked down. "That's not what I mEANNNNNT!" She shot back towards her tank.

"You didn't want to get hooked by him!" MK called back. "I did you a favor!" She chuckled as Julia was dropped in. She suddenly stopped when she saw Damien was no gunning towards her. She looked for a hook, but none were close enough to grab.

Damien held up his hook and continued his run. However, it was interrupted when something crawled out of his hat. Unsurprisingly, when the spider walked onto his face, Damien's focus was immediately thrown off. He let out a pathetic scream and ended up tripping over his own foot. He fell forward and the hook left his hand. The throw carried the hook into the direction he was running and it was heading straight towards MK.

The hacker couldn't move in time and shielded her face with her hands. She felt a sudden snag, but nothing hit her face.

She opened her eyes and then looked up. The problem became immediate.

The hook had not touched her ring, but it was now snugly under the tip of MK's beanie. Realizing how bad this situation was, MK grabbed the sides of her hat, before it dragged her upwards. She struggled to hold onto it. "Nobody look this way!" She yelled, desperate to keep the top of her head hidden.

MK was moved towards her tank.

"Wait!" Chef called, blowing a whistle. "Damien didn't hook the harness!"

"Ya think!?" MK squirmed.

Chris pulled out a book. "I need to see what the rules say about this."

"Can you at least put me down?!" MK shrieked loudly. "

From the inside of her tank, Julia was trying to trudge through the marmalade. She heard MK's yelling. "Whatever it is," She called out. "You probably deserve it!"

"Oh, honey." An older woman said. "You'll get gray hair before you're thirty, with all that yelling."

"Shut up, Beatrice." Julis snapped back.

"Ah," Chris said, putting his book down. "Yup, as I thought."

"What?!" MK yelled. Her hat was nowbarely clinging to her head.

"Rules are boring." Chris tossed the book to the side. "So, MK's still in the game."

Chef lowered her back to the ground. MK grabbed the hook and adjusted her hat. "Good, now I can-"

Clink

MK looked down, as Damien had just hooked her. "Seriously!?" She was sent off.

"If MK is dropped, Damien might win the whole thing!" Chris declared.

Damien looked around to see he was the only one standing in the arena. A wide smile formed across his face. "Come on, Chef! Faster!"

"Don't rush me!" The co-host snapped back.

MK was directly above the hatch and slipped off.

Damien cheered, but his celebration was interrupted when another door shot open. Raj ran out of it, swinging a rope around his head. MK was out of sight, when Raj threw the rope towards Damien. He barely had time to react, when it wrapped around his feet. Raj pulled and Damien fell to the ground.

"Ow!" He yelped. "Raj, where did you-" He stopped himself. Wrapped around his legs wasn't a rope, but an animal. "Snake!" Damien tried to crawl away, but just dragged it along. "Get this thing off me!"

Raj ignored him and pushed Damien over, onto his back. He then used the hook on his vest to send Damien flying. Shortly after, he was dropped inside the terror tank.

Raj looked around to see that he was all alone. He raised his fists to the air. "Hoot! Hoot! I won!"

"Raj," Chris acknowledged. "Congrats on winning the challenge and securing immunity." The hockey bro smiled proudly. "I do have one question though. How on earth did you fight off that snake and turn it into a rope?"

"Oh, that's easy. When Chef dropped me in, I landed right on top of it's head. I knocked it out."

Chris sighed. "Of course you did…"

A nearby door swung open. Julia fell out and onto the ground, absolutely exhausted and covered in marmalade. She sighed in defeat when she realized what happened.

Raj was walking to the cabins. He was by himself, but it wasn't going to last. He heard footsteps behind him.

"Raj." Damien called, walking up. "You have a minute?" He didn't receive a reply, as Raj kept walking. "I…congrats on the win and…" Damien was finding the situation a little awkward. "That was a nice move when you…put me in my tank with the snake. Took me…a few hours to get it untangled, but I get it. I…probably deserved it." Again, Raj ignored him. Damien grunted and stepped right in front of Raj, stopping him in his tracks. "Raj! I need to talk to you about something important."

"If you're worried about voting off someone I like," Raj spat. "Don't worry. I don't care who gets eliminated as long as it isn't me." He tried to walk away, but Damien put his hands up on Raj's shoulders.

He sighed. "Raj, I'm sorry. I know…you have every right to be mad at me. I voted off someone you really like when I didn't have to. But you have to listen to why I did it. I'm trying to help you."

Raj held a glare, but didn't respond.

Damien continued. "MK and Julia are in alliance. I…had the immunity idol and lost it. I scared myself into thinking Nichelle had it and Julia tricked me into voting her off. She said if Nichelle was still here, you probably would've voted off me if Julia ended up winning."

"Yeah, she's probably right."

"I…" Damien stared at Raj. Then he sighed. "My point is, it was a mistake. I don't know where the idol is, but I know Julia doesn't have it. This is our chance to get rid of her. Remember, she's the reason your boyfriend is gone."

Raj grimaced from hearing that. He then looked back at Damien's pleading eyes. "I…I'm still mad at you." Damien cringed. "But…I'm more mad at Julia. So, fine. We'll vote for her."

The neurotic contestant exhaled and put his hands down. "Thank you, Raj. You're making a…" He trailed off. Raj was already walking away. "Oh, ok. Ok, that's fair. I'll just celebrate by myself..." He looked down at the ground to see an animal walking towards him. "And this turtle-TURTLE?!" Damien screamed in terror and ran off.

With the challenge done, the four remaining competitors headed off the elimination ceremony…for the last time.

Raj was the only one who seemed content.

Damien was trying to look calm, but couldn't stop himself from shaking.

MK was using her poker face to hide how confident she felt.

In front of her was Julia. She suddenly turned around, stopping in her tracks. MK halted, while Raj and Damien went ahead.

MK looked up at her friend. In any situation, Julia would look just as tense as Damien, especially since she didn't have immunity.

Which is why it surprised MK to see her smiling.

Julia put a hand on her friend's shoulder and knelt down, so they were at eye level.

"Umm…you dying or something?" MK asked.

The influencer sighed. "I just…I wanted to let you know that I'm probably not going to be here for much longer."

MK scoffed. "Yeah…no duh." Secretly, she felt a little bad. "You're not mad that I kept hooking you?"

"I would've done the same probably…" Julia admitted.

MK didn't respond.

"So…if this is my last night on the island, I…don't want to leave without doing this." She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around MK.

The hacker's hands shot up to her side, but she didn't return the embrace. "You dying or something?"

Julia didn't release the hug. "Do you want me to stop?"

"I…I don't know." She heard the influencer chuckle lightly. "But you aren't dying, right?"

"Why?" Julia stepped back. "Would you be sad if I did?"

"Sad that there's one less smooth-brained blonde clogging up the internet? I think I'll get over it."

The two laughed and continued heading towards the elimination ceremony.

Everyone was sat at their stumps. Chris and Chef stood facing them, with a tray of three marshmallows.

"Raj has immunity, which means he is guaranteed a spot in the finale." Chris explained. "One of you will not be joining him. I'm betting it will be Julia. But it could be Damien or MK. Let's find out why!"

"Damien," Chef started. "You pretended you were a knight and went berserk, taunted Raj about his boyfriend, and, to top it all off, you're afraid of glitter. What is wrong with you?"

"It's still on me!" As if for emphasis, Damien took his jacket off and shook it around, letting out a surprisingly large amount of sparkly dust.

Despite their talk from before, Raj couldn't help but look away at being reminded at what happened.

"MK," Chef continued. "You continuously kept hooking Julia, despite her trying to work with you."

"I mean, only one of us could win." MK pointed.

"And finally, Julia." The co-host paused. "I mean…do I really need to say it? No one like you."

Julia just smirked and gave a knowing look to MK.

"The first marshmallow is going to Raj." Chris tossed the treat at the hockey bro, who gladly caught it. The host then picked up another marshmallow. "And joining him in the finale is…"

"...Damien!"

The neurotic contestant let out a huge sigh.

Julia and MK nervously glanced at each other.

"Seems like the devilish duo will go down to uno." Chris chuckled. "One of you is going home. Moving onto the finale is…"

"...MK!" Chris tossed the marshmallow towards the hacker.

She gladly caught it, jumped to her feet, and pointed at Julia. "In your face!" She yelled. Julia was surprised. "You're going home and I'm getting that one million bucks!" She laughed, holding up her treat.

Surprisingly, Julia seemed subdued. "You don't need to rub it in." She said quietly.

MK was caught off-guard. "I…" She struggled to find the words. "Well, I-"

"Especially because…" Julia's mouth tilted upwards. "...I'm not going anywhere!" She reached behind her and pulled out the golden Chris statue.

Raj, Damien, Chris, and Chef gasped. MK was too stunned to response. She checked the inside of her jacket. "Wait, how? I had that thing in my pocket, when-" She stopped, coming to a sudden realization. "When you hugged me…"

"There ya go!" Julia mocked. "And you have no one to blame but yourself. Especially since I'm safe from elimination."

"That's right!" Chris interjected. "Which means the person with the second most votes is going home. And since everyone, but Julia, voted for Julia, her's is the only vote that counts."

MK nervously glanced at her friend. She then looked over at Damien, who was equally fearful.

Confessional (MK): She took a deep breath. "Alright, I think I'm alright. I mean, Julia couldn't change her vote after I laughed in her face, right?" She chuckled nervously.

Static

She was still laughing to herself.

"MK."

She shook her head. "I'm paying attention!" She snapped. "Just tell us who Julia voted for."

Chris stared. "I just did."

The hacker froze. "You…what?"

"The only vote that wasn't for Julia was…for you."

MK's eyes widened and she slowly looked over at Julia. The influencer stared back at her and, as dantily as she could, plucked the marshmallow from her friend's hand. She prompt tossed it into her mouth. "Mmm…delicious." She said.

"Wait!" MK snapped from her trance. "How did you know I had the idol?!"

"Easy." Julia scoffed. "I figured Raj didn't have it because he didn't try and save Nichelle last night and we already knew Damien didn't have it because he was not subtle about losing it."

"Hey!" The neurotic contestant shouted.

Julia continued. "And I figured you'd bring it in case I somehow turned the votes against you. And since you did such a good job at teaching me, I figured I'd put your lessons to good use."

MK sighed in defeat, knowing she had been outsmarted.

"Wait." Damien cut in. "MK, how did you find the idol? I hid it in a tree."

The hacker turned, puzzled. "You did? I found it on the ground. The squirrels must have something against it. I saw them throw it out of a tree I had put it in."

Confessional (Damien): "Of all the things I expected to be my undoing.…I did not anticipate squirrels."

Static

MK soon made her way down to the dock, where Chris and Chef were waiting. Julia had joined her. She wasn't gloating anymore. In fact, she was starting to feel guilty.

"You're not mad at me, are you?" She asked.

MK held a glare at her, but it didn't last. "No…" She sighed. "I probably would've done the same thing. Just one question though. Why did you vote me off?"

Julia chuckled. "I could ask you the same question." MK gave a dull glare, so Julia relented. "Fine." She grunted. "I…I didn't want anything to interfere in me winning."

MK was surprised. "What do you mean?"

"If the final challenge was whack everyone over the head with a big stick…you'd be the only I'd hesitate to do it to."

"Is that our final challenge?" Chris whispered to Chef.

"No." Chef said back. "And stop thinking about it."

"Oh, I'm definitely still thinking about it."

MK softened. She could see Julia trying not to meet her gaze. She smirked. "Yeah, that's why I voted for you too."

Julia relaxed and smiled back. "So are we…"

"...friends?" MK pondered, then shrugged. "Why not? I don't have many friends…or any at all, really."

"I can see why." Julia said. "They're probably waiting for you to crawl back under the bridge you spawned from."

"Funny. Is it the same place you buy your clothes?"

"You wish you afford my clothes. Gotta admit though, you make for a decent looking hobo."

"You're critisizing my fashion choice? Is there a shortage of tall, skinny, blondes who think they're better than everyone else? I don't think so."

"I'm gonna miss you." Julia held out her arms.

MK stepped forward and the two shared in a nice hug.

Chris and Chef stared at them. "Is that how friends usually talk to each other?" Chef asked.

"Younger people…" Chris sighed. "I just don't get their lingo."

The drone soon arrived and grabbed MK by the scruff of her jacket. She was soon carried away.

Chris turned to the camera. "Our final three is set. Damien, Raj, and Julia. One of those remaining campers will take home the million in our epic, must-see, grand finale. Who will stand tall and who takes a fall? Find out, next time…on Total…Drama…Island!"

And we have our finale set!

First thing's first, let's talk about MK. She's actually one of the only characters who I think was handled better in the second season than in the first. Her VA seemed to get more comfortable in her role and she was a lot funnier when she played off with Julia. First season had a great idea with her recording the confessionals (and I love how it played into the story after she was eliminated), but she wasn't all that funny.

I know a lot of people originally predicted MK making the finale, but I always intended it to be Julia. MK was always going to be fourth. Another thing I liked about this episode is how the elimination is handled. Julia finished fourth in season one and, without the idol, would've done the same here. So it's almost like she corrected her mistake.

I really hope y'all enjoyed this chapter! And with only one more left, I gotta ask: who is winning this whole thing? Please let me know what you thought of the chapter and I'll see you in the next one.
